Leaving the match is different from a legit disconnect though, you loose two pips and all your stuff with the first option. The latter is often used by people to keep their items though.A legit disconnect occurs when you leave the match using the built-in "Leave match" option - that's what the option does.
I meant legit as in actually loosing the connection, wether by accident or by choice.
Do you know what "legitimate" means?
What exactly is your problem, just arguing for it's own sake ?
No, I'm asking because a legitimate loss of connection is not done by choice, by definition. If you don't know certain terms and use them where they shouldn't be used, it makes it harder for everyone to understand what you mean.

@Orion im sorry but thats really stupid. saying its THERE because soemothing in real life might happen xD. if something important happens in real life you can JSUT LEAVE in a normal way by QUITTING ! And i really doubt that THATS the reason why its in the Game xDThe "Leave Match" button is the "normal way" to quit the game/disconnect from a trial. And yes, that's exactly what it's there for. There are thousands of people who play this game, and some of them do have emergencies in their lives from time to time that require them to leave the game mid-trial.

Nice alt to upvote yourself with...
Anyway, I explained why it's there, and your stressed out reaction to it says it's working as intended. You may not think it's fun (nobody thinks it's fun, just for the record), but it's working as intended.
-
It's there because, sometimes, real life gets in the way and you need to leave ASAP. Instead of getting reported for AFK, you simply disconnect, problem solved.
Anything else you'd like removed even though it makes perfect sense?
-
There seems to be something broken with the game.
-
The idea is to stress you out. You are, after all, about to die. Seems like it's working.
-
Survivors don't have to do anything to be pulled in by the Entity, but the Entity chooses Her champions when they commit acts of great evil.

I play both sides too. There are hits I have gotten on survivors which I know is pure BS. And I can see you are already starting to say that its my fault? How is it? I can't control when I get into a chase, if a killer find me as a survivor they find me. I also just tried your any direction hint and the killer did a complete 360 while in a lunge and got me. So it just doesn't work. This is a bs exploit tat ruins chases for both survivors and killers.
Lunging is not an exploit and should not be nerfed just to appease people who lack the skill to evade and escape the Killer.
-
Jake is the one I started with and the only one I've bothered to level up because he had all the perks I wanted at the time.
-
196 cm.
-
I am sure it would be, but maybe that's because I actually play both sides. The lunge works the way it does for a good reason. Windows and pallets are not walls.
Why don't you think more before you get into a chase? Why don't you think more when you see the Killer is about to lunge?

Yes! A lore section. That would be great.Like the wiki?

I offered to play the Wraith due to my height back when the devs spoke of this.
-
This would make lunges completely worthless. Literally just move in any direction and the lunge will miss 100% of the time.
-
Killer hasn't been released yet. Even if it worked in the PTB, it could just be a bug.

There is a save game bug?
I played normally and haven´t noticed anything.I streamed for one hour two days ago before the game reported it'd been unable to save. Before that, four days ago, I had multiple errors during my stream.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: camping pays off nine times out of ten because of Survivors.

Well, yeah, if you run directly on top of a bird, it will fly away. This is not a bug.
-
Get on a plane and move to a new country. Alternatively, you could wait for your region to reach its peak number of concurrent players. What region are you playing in?
PS: This is not a bug and doesn't have anything to do with Q&A, so why'd you tag it as such?
-
I, too, wish to know. I was going back to streaming DbD and ended up getting shafted by this crap. It's the first time I've experienced such a severe bug while playing DbD.

They already do more than enough. Camping is a killer's prerogative. It's already a bad strategic choice. There's no amount of additional penalty they can add that is going to deter a killer who's determined to secure a kill, short of granting automatic Dead Hard to everyone.
Alright, I'm going to assume you didn't read the suggestion. Let me know when you do.
I read it, and it isn't going to be any more effective than the other asinine suggestions about camping that spam these forums every single day. If a killer is determined to secure a kill, either because they don't realize it's a bad strategic choice, or they're pissed at a teabagging survivor, or the gates just popped and there's no reason for them to leave the hook, these suggestions aren't going to change that.
The developers have said on multiple occasions that camping is a viable (if usually bad) strategy. Let it go.
This suggestion does not change camping in the slightest. This suggestion simply makes it more beneficial for the Killer to leave the hook. You did not read my suggestion and are assuming this is yet another "slow down Entity progression when the Killer is near the hook" thread, or something akin to it when it's literally the opposite.
-
@Strider said:
Open Handed - it literally has no use if nobody on your team has any aura reading abilities. I wouldn't have a clue on how to fix the perk other than giving it it's own unique function. It works for yourself as well, and proper use of the pre-game chat will fix the "your team" bit.
-
I'd assume they're bannable and stop using them, but that's just me.

BBQ, Devour Hope, and MYC already reward non-camping.But not enough, if the recent surge in Survivor threads about camping is to be believed. This would be a base mechanic that wouldn't require the Killer to unlock three teachable perks.

That's not the point. The point is that to get a 25% speed increase (which I think is a modest progression increase), the Killer would have to be on the other side of the map, and not even the Hillbilly can traverse that much terrain in time to find the unhooked or rescuer.
Oh okay
Never mind, I'm an idiot. I was making calculations for 0.5%/m, for some reason. At 2%/m, the Killer would have to be a little over 32 meters away from the hook, and for 50%, 45 meters. This may actually need to be reduced to 1%/m, rather than increased. I'll fix my posts to reflect that.
-
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Sony is the main reason this isn't feasible, just like they're vehemently against cross play.

It would make nurse and billy more op since they can leave, get the faster progression and quickly come back to the hook if survivor gets rescued. Should be more than 20 meters to make it workActually both of you have good points
What if for Billy and Nurse, said range was longer? to prevent just coming back asap to down again.I don't think this would be necessary. A tweak of the percentage would be enough. Also, keep in mind that to reach just 25% increased speed, at a 2%/m increase, the Killer would have to be 70 meters away from the hook. It's not as OP as you think.
Well I didn't say they Bill/Nurse had to on the other side of the map, just maybe like 3 or 4 extra meters (From what you said) away from the hook

nah i mean they require other perks to function. Like try running any aura perk without bond or empathy. Legit all of Ace's perks are just add ons and don't do much on their own. For killers their perks are just under powered or underused or so situational. i really feel like Territorial Imperative should give auras of players opening chests, I think Spies from the Shadows needs a much bigger range.
I did try that, and they work just fine.

A long, long, long time ago, back when Survivors communicated through teabagging, I was at a generator with two more Survivors when I saw a figure standing still just a few meters away. I, a noob at the time, teabagged to try to get his attention and say "there's a generator here". Then I saw him lift up his arms and realized what it was - The Hillbilly with Insidious, about to chainsaw my face off. I did a 180 and sprinted away, while my teammates remained oblivious to the danger and were caught.

No, you don't need to. If someone's making false reports, we'll already see their false reports anyway. This is largely for people trying to falsify information to get other people banned. (i.e. Having their buddy change their name to the name of another player, break some rules, record it, and then report the player they're impersonating. We can see if they were in-game with each other, so this would not work and they might get in trouble for falsifying a report.)
Sorry to do this here, but I can't see any posts or threads by Master and only Master. I can only access his threads by opening them directly from the forum home page, assuming they're the ones with the most recent comments, or by opening his profile and hoping they received any reaction to them (Vote Up, Awesome, LOL).

Regardless of what you click through, there's a rather high chance that you will be directed to Noob3 and Ochido's channels relatively quickly. This is how new players see our game, two toxic cretins that have been banned, but the noobs don't know that.On a side note, I find it funny that two of the more well-known Youtubers; Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier both demonstrate a fondness for camping(Markiplier) and Tunneling(Jacksepticeye).
Support small streamers if you don't like toxic ones. I always hear this complaint that streamers are toxic, but then nobody supports small non-toxic streamers. You keep watching their videos, giving them free advertisement through word of mouth, and so on.
If toxic is what pays off more easily than the alternatives, that's what most people are gonna do.
I try to watch non-toxic small streamers. However, due to Youtube's algorithm even if 1000 people started supporting non-toxic channels the algorithm would still recommend the toxic channels because of their compilations.
Watching, following/subscribing, etc., isn't enough. Support comes in the form of helping them make videos (personally, I have one guy making videos, and he's been too busy with real-life issues to work on the channel for over a year), helping moderate the channels, advertising (through word-of-mouth), and so on.

I suggested faster progression the further away a Killer is from the hook (starting after a certain radius), but Survivors shot it down. They just don't want Killers to be rewarded for playing in the way that they want, for some reason.Didn't they try this and survivors just looped near the hook forever getting more time for the save?
Plus that would severely harm end game camping when the gates are open. Its bad enough having to wait 2 minutes for the last second borrowed time save when the gates are visible from the hook.
Faster progression when the Killer leaves the hook past a certain radius, with normal progression inside that radius. They tried slower progression within a certain radius of the hook, with normal progression when the Killer left it.

Survivors don't want the killer to stop camping. They want the devs to punish camping. There's a difference.
Devs gave us BBQ. Yet survivors hate it and convinced the devs to nerf the aura reading.
Since it's bad, when the killer leaves the hook to get someone else. They want the killer to feel even more pressure. Make it as unenjoyable as possible to play killer. Because in their twisted minds, that's a good thing. Killers should regret playing killer. At least according to them.
I know all this. I've said similar things for a long time, but "bothsiderism" is prevalent in the minds of many people here, who conveniently ignore that the two sides are not equal in their actions because it doesn't feed into their delusional point of view.

Sure. Banning for hate speech or straight up insults. No Doubt. But banning for "Toxic Behaviour" is just illusional.

I agree, OP. I did the same thing to a Doctor once or twice before I decided against it, just because it felt scummy.
-
This will probably just be them verifying reports. Keep in mind that you don't know if you've been reported or not. Even if they say they reported you, they could be lying to get you to falsely report them. I advise you and everyone else to just laugh at claims of being reported for false accusations instead of trying to retaliate with reports of your own. More useless reports just clog the system.

@Billou said:
Wha? But he was standing still? A bug? Well that just happened once, you're right the other time the killer was just bodyblocking but yeah one time, even if I was coming for the right and he was in front of the survivor, I just couldn't unhook.Maybe you couldn't find the right angle to attempt the unhook, but since the swivel hooks update, it should no longer be possible to face camp.
-
@Billou said:
Sometimes it's that, you can't even have access to the survivor because he's litterally blocking the way. But that's more rare, the majority of the time that's more: I'm waiting you unhook the survivor and I'm just going to put him/her down the instant and hook him/her again. Or the killer just grab you when you attempt the unhook, like you said. But yeah, that's more like a one week thing that you can't even access the hook but this still exist. It's possible to block your path by constantly moving in front of you. It's not possible to stand still and prevent the "unhook" interaction from being available to you. The former is called "body blocking", and the latter is called "face camping".
