the only substantial buffs killers have ever gotten is the removal of infinites and pallet vacuum
"Every buff under the sun" don't give me that crap.Ah, pallet vacuum... I thought it'd be the thing to finally end looping and became very excited to finally play the game with Survivors breaking LoS during chases and me having to improve my tracking skills. I was wrong.
-
If you can, I advise you to try it in a KYF match.
-
You need to be right up the Survivors' asses and press M1. It's not like a Memento Mori.

All minor changes that had basically no effect on the core changes?
🤔That too. None of those changes solved the core problems that drove me away from high rank in the first place, and from what I see when I accidentally rank up too much thanks to braindead Survivors, it hasn't gotten any better.
-
I have played with all those changes, just FYI. However, as I was having trouble finding fun trials (i.e.: trials where I wasn't looped indefinitely), I never played regularly.

So - you've waited out a few rank resets. You're rank 17 - you come back and decide to facecamp (lol gg well played you're good btw).So - now you play the game at rank 10 -15 and intentionally play like trash ( not because you're bad because you choose too? ok lol) but you've also decided to (despite loosing intentionally and playing poorly to keep in your rank 10-15 safety net) complain about how hard killer is when you've confessed yourself you don't even play properly, am I getting this right? You play badly on purpose, but come to the forums to complain about how hard it is to win?
oh my god, you actually can't make this up, LOL.
You're the one basing your entire opinion of me and the way I play from a few streams and purposefully misconstruing my comments, but I'm the one at fault. Sure. I have nothing more to say to you.
-
You certainly implied it was. Why mention it at all if it wasn't to make the point that Killers complain about outfits?

I had to stop reading as soon as I saw you mention nurse losing her bloodlust who bloodlusts with nurse?and no - killers shouldn't just keep blood lust and gain it from breaking pallets, that's ridiculous.
They're changing maps, and for the better - bloodlust will be gone soon If they continue to improve maps and change pallet placements/quantities.
so you had to stop reading when i explained the current state of the mechanic? i know you don't bloodlust as Nurse. she might as well have a move speed of 85% for how often you actually walk with her.
its been a back and forth nonbalancing act for a long time and the game could use some changes that actually shake up the way you play. make you think differently about your situation. this adds counterplay that high ranks will use and wont change low rank games that much. these are the kinds of changes we need. not just -1 window + 1 pallet here -2 pallets on this map +2 windows on that map. while i agree maps need to be fair i dont think this fixes the core issue. 5 Gens vs 12 hooks(to kill 4 people)
in its current state 2 survivors can finish 1 gen before you get to Bloodlust 3 btw. and yes i know mind games win games...
REALLY!? Cuz bloodlust from pallets and keeping it seems like the only counter play is GET #########. Keep in mind this would only ENCOURAGE looping over actual hiding and LOS breaking.
So if your actions buff the Killer, you, as a thinking human being, believe that the only counter is to continue performing those actions?
Ah yeah, I totally blow a killers mind and hide without using a single pallet, and totally do it under 15 seconds as well!
The pallet would still stun the Killer and force them to either take a detour or break it, and you could also try stealth to avoid getting into a chase in the first place. Pallets would still be useful, they just wouldn't waste so much of the Killer's time.
Steath before a chase is currently ######### tier, and very weak. It needs buff. Same with chase stealth. Looping does need nerfs, but this ain’t how you do it. Also, with enduring a brutal strength, you’ve succefully bought like 4 seconds, which in most maps also is in an open area. Yeah no.
He truly has no idea how to play the game - I just watched one of his twitch vods and witnessed him tunnelling and camping rank 17 survivors.
Yes, I did prevent unhooks and chased injured Survivors while I was at low rank thanks to the rank reset. If you don't like it, you can watch another stream.
I honestly can't take people seriously that go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about how hard killer is yet intentionally derank, bully and generally play like trash around rank reset.
What. A. Mess.
and trust me - I don't watch bad players so I assure you I'll be watching someone else.
I don't intentionally derank, so I'd appreciate it if you stopped making ######### up. I play casually (lot of mistakes, some intentional some not, sub-optimal builds, and so on), so I don't rank up. When I did play at high ranks it was a pain in the ass, no matter the result, so I decided to wait it out, give it a few rank resets, and now I stay at around rank 15-10, where I can play the game to relax instead of stressing myself out trying to always play perfectly.
I can't take people seriously when they make ######### up about others, and I wouldn't want you to watch my stream anyway, so rest assured, you won't be missed.

Every time someone says "rework" in reference to a Killer-related mechanic, I always assume it's a nerf. I've yet to be pleasantly surprised.
Your NOED nerf would kill the perk, and your sabotage idea would make camping go through the roof due to guaranteeing free rescues. Other than that, great idea.

How about this, you keep your 360 fov but the more you turn around the less visible the skillcheck window becomes. Since if you think about it you can turn and look around but the more you twist around to check say behind you, the more distracted you'll be.So looking in say a 90 degree arc you've still got the full window clear as day but say at 120 degrees well you lose a little clarity just slightly because you're slightly distracted.
But if you're looking say 240 degrees the windows gets faded out a bunch because you're so distracted.
That sounds like a pain in the ass to program. The "lock PoV" feature already exists.
Do you program? Cause no it doesn't... lol
The game already can tell when a player is engaged in an action. We know this because you don't get inactivity crows while sitting in the same spot doing an action i.e. repairing a generator. There is most certainly a variable we can get from any player object that would indicate the FOV vector (with 0 degrees being looking straight ahead). Simply check this value during the repairing state and, if it's between certain values, modify the view as necessary.
I do. Are you aware of the slang term "spaghetti code", also known as "what this game is made of"? I'd rather the devs implement a feature that already exists than create an entirely new one and break something else.

Even if you meant for it to be genuine advice, if the Killer perceives it to be trolling, that's what their reaction will reflect. You can't know intent from writing.

@Wolf74 said:
Rank reset us important, because if you force killer player to stay in toxic high ranks forever, they all would just quit playing at all.
If you want rank reset to be gone, the game needs to get balanced first. And without rank reset, people would just keep ranking up forever, meaning that newcomers would never find lobbies. Furthermore, without rank reset, ranks would become irrelevant because people would just keep ranking up forever, regardless of skill level or how long it'd been since they last played.
Rank reset is there for a variety of reasons.

I can't understand why the ranks aren't visible, either. More often than not, I join a lobby with a swf team with a useless rank 18 player who is boosted by his rank 7 friends and of course the killer destroys us. Or when I play as a rank 8 killer I get swf consisting of rank 10, 2, 3 and 18 (because arithmetic mean). Then again, you can't really expect those developers to think things through, it's just too dificult for them I guess.Ranks used to be visible and resulted in a lot of lobby dodging. I can't understand why people who've only recently started playing act as if they know everything about the game. Then again, you can't really expect those people to learn about the game's history; it's just too difficult for them, I guess.

There is no "scare factor", unless you're new and then it fades over time.Stealth killers can approach the survivors better, instead of being given a free hit or grab by locking the PoV of the survivors.
The Shape isn't supposed to be getting free grabs all the time, that would be ridiculous.
He still wouldn't be getting free grabs. You'd simply have to position yourself accordingly.

Despite its description, Spine Chill works off of a (tight) cone, same as Premonition. Killers would definitely look in your direction as they were headed toward you, and if you were to simply position yourself strategically, this wouldn't be a problem to begin with. The same thing applies to Premonition - positioning would become relevant. Right now I can hold M1 and just leave in the opposite direction the Killer is coming from without a care in the world, no matter where I am on the generator. The Shape can't pull anyone off anything when you can simply rotate your camera 360º the whole time.
ok im sorry i thought you meant like a first person view not just forced forward in third. but yes the shape pulls me off when running moniter and abuse at tier 1 50% of the time by being very sneaky
Nah, not first person. I don't like having my face stuck in a generator any more than you do.
I honestly don't know how you get pulled off. I had a Shape try that on me and as soon as I heard the heartbeat (no M&A, obviously, but still), I was out of there and lost him. He only managed to get that close because I got sloppy and stopped looking around. I mean, he wears a bright white mask. It's almost impossible not to see him.

Ruin is irrelevant. I had a trial with Ruin and two generators popped before I managed to find the totem. I didn't even start to look until long after two other totems were cleansed and neither were Ruin.

I've not had any problems since I know if I'm on top of the bird it's going to fly away. The issue I've got with it is that having tier III you still stand up and scream albeit silently. So even though you'e not supposed tos cream you jump up and scream usually in full view of the doctor who also get a visual notification.Indeed, this is the problem with Calm Spirit.

There has to be a better way to deal with that , one that a killer has to earn and not one that a killer gets for free and can help camping.Takes 2:30 (150 seconds) for a Survivor to die, assuming they struggle all the way to the end. That's 5x30, meaning there's enough time to repair all generators and get out. This would nerf camping, if Survivors didn't feed it.

It's called a short description for the sake of brevity. You're not buying a car, there's no false advertisement. Besides, think about it - how would your calm spirit translate to "you can stomp all over animals and they won't react"?
ok dude whats your problem? every single thing i post your there complaining. it doesn't matter, the perk should tell you everything because if the killer is running spies from the shadows and it alerts them because my calm spirit didn't calm the birds (like it says it does 100% of the time) then whats the point of running the perk (other than when facing a doctor) if it falsely doesn't tell you everything it will do. so when i run next to a bird on a rock it shouldn't make them fly away. and if your talking about realism then please talk about it in a game that is fully realistic. in what world do you get pulled away by a entity and have perks to face against a killer where you get killed and are magically still alive and ready for the next game. so if perks can manipulate this Fantasy world then why not have a perk that actually does its job when it says 100% of a chance to not alert woodland creatures to actually not alert woodland creatures 100% of the time.
You're the one complaining. I'm trying to get you to think about the things you say and explain why you're wrong. The perk's description is arguably incomplete, but I think it's just common sense that you can't walk all over the crows and expect them to stand still.

I would LOVE sabotage to be worthwhile. But sadly as a killer it only happened a couple of times they dropped a hook right before I could hook a survivor. Very very very very rare.Sabotage is worthwhile. However, now it requires some thinking, whereas before it was just mindless hook breaking.

Because some people play more stealthy and pip and rank up that way super fast without actually learning how to juke. For example if you do a lot of gens, survive without getting hit by the killer have been in the killers terror radius for some time you can get a pip that is how a lot of survivors play, they just do the gens and then exit and let you hang on the hook to die even at red ranks.Stealth play is the smart play. Juking, breaking LoS, these are all part of stealth.

we have two killers with chainsaws , why not . But like they said once before the licensed killers are not gonna be happening all that much , they are focused on the original killers right now . this allows them to make a quarterly update and only they can slow themselves down . a licensed killer they have to submit and get approval for , pay for the license , and then show the final product as intended and get approval again before they can release it . That is outside of the development stages of making sure it balanced and working correctly without bugs . This is why you wont see new killers like that except maybe yearly if that at all . Its a long process they have to dedicate time and manpower to in order to satisfy the rights holder before they can try and satisfy the players with it . Time and manpower that could have been spent making 3 or 4 original killers . Plus they would have to recoup the investment in said killer/survivor in a dlc pack much like the way things are now and they have to get a lot more approval for reskinning them and pay fees there as well if they want to offer cosmetics .
Though I like the idea of ghostface , I don't think we will be getting licensed killers anytime soon if at all . There are bigger things they have to tackle first .
It's not just the weapon, the entire character model would be so similar you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a distance.

I think when people use the leave function too often they get banned for it, as it is often abused to de-rank and harass players with less skill.
Indeed, there is such an automated system, but it requires a very high percentage of disconnects, so it was really only useful when it was first implemented.
I get why it sucks when people do it, every other match someone leaves (not sure by which method). Coupled with at least one unnecessary suicide on the hook, it really ruins the matches.
Some decent killers are nice when they see it, others mercilessly use it. I give props to killers who are nice about it.

That's an argument for implementing a punishment for leaving the match. It's not an argument for removing a button that people need to use from time to time. This is like removing the ability to post comments just because there are a few spammers.
