The point is valid regardless. It'd be as if you'd "predicted" that someone would tell someone else complaining about NOED to break the totems.

Person A: Every time I get into water that's too deep, I start to drown.

Person C: Just learn to swim.

Yeah, sometimes restarting the game fixes it.
Pro tip: Before making any complaint about an electronic device or software, turn it off and on. You'd be surprised at the sheer number of things that can be fixed like that.I didn't restart.
I only went to the store (i need to re-buy), my inventory (it's all gone), made this post, back to the shop (back to normal) & back to my inventory (it's all there.)Either way, always restart/reopen/whatever first.

I just got whiplash from all the memories of binge-watching Supernatural like clockwork every day after school. Ended up stopping at the 12th season because I simply couldn't go on. Have they ended that damn show already?
Season 15 confirmed.
God why. Please just end it already!!!
Season 13 is better than 12, trust me. Season 14 is being kinda meh, though I feel that has to do more with the stupid broadcast schedule than anything else. If they copied Netflix's model instead of creating so much filler, shows would be more interesting.
Personally I hate shows that drag on for seasons, and seasons, and seasons...
They just lose their original charm, I want the story to be over already. Maybe one day I'll rewatch Supernatural for fun.Oh, don't get me wrong, I feel the same way. Supernatural was supposed to end after season 5, though I felt like season 11 was the best time to finish it, with Amara having resurrected both Mary and John and the boys having their family back together again. Instead, she only brought back Mary, and you know how the rest of it went.

You could put it both ways in your scenario. Killers can fake vote survivors and survivors can fake vote killers. I don't think that'd be the case for the most part though. The people who would do that are really a toxic "vocal minority".Killers are in the minority, and so are non-toxic survivors. There's a reason people quit playing killer.

we already have a "give props" button, it just doesnt do anything. i'd like it to do something, just not a good boy meter though. That's why I recommend a rep system. You could vote a player as a series of different positive things, and other players would be able to play around their playstyle once in the game.
So give out the killers' tactics before the trial, but make survivors' tactics completely unpredictable, since they could just vote for fake tactics.

Today is opposite day, right?Dying Light? Why and how would an open world co op zombie game kill DbD? It was also out a year and a half before DbD.
True but dying light 2 will damage this game
....How? They're completely different games? In that case you may as well say something like Anthem or The Division will hurt DbD.
To be honest any type of game can kill one, dying light 2's trailer is nice and the graphics are beautiful, the game will only hurt this, not kill it, dbd will stay alive but not die quickly, its the juggernaut of asymmetrical games
Isn't Dying Light 2 releasing on Discord, as opposed to Steam?

They have not announced yet, but most likely on discord, but I play console cause I am a nerd so I get it on xbox store
If it's releasing on Discord, it might as well be releasing in Madagascar, on Friday the 13th, between 1 PM and 2 PM. Publishers are just shooting themselves in the foot by abandoning Steam.

There's only one dev I'd like to see in the game: Ash. And that's because he was actually taken by the Entity.

Everyone would eventually rank up all the way to 1, which would not only make the ranking system completely irrelevant, but also break the matchmaking completely for new players.

But realistically if killers want to have longer game then 2ndary objectives are going to be what's needed that or the game has to go full stealth one hit and you're done.I'd prefer the latter, but then I'm a big fan of stealth games.

They don't want optional objectives; they want mandatory objectives. Because they're unwilling to do the ones that already exist, since they're not mandatory. But they do do the optional objectives. You always see people looking in chests or cleansing dull totems and sometimes sabo.
Sometimes, sure, but most people don't have the willpower to do them, even though they claim to want to. They need to be forced, so that's what they're asking.
I'm reminded of Two Point Hospital, where you have items that increase a room's stats by 1%. People were stuffing rooms full of the objects, and then complaining that it made the rooms ugly, blaming the devs for making the items "so weak". When told they could just not stuff the rooms full of those items, they flipped their ######### and acted as if it hadn't been their decision to make the rooms ugly. -

ObviouslyWhat if someone is in a chase all game, then has to run out the exit gates while injured? What if a survivor is making a last chance escape through the hatch? I think you've made this post because of exit gate t-baggers, but it's not that much of a problem. You can just hit them for more bloodpoints.
Then they should be punished for not being able to win a chase.
The hatch already gives bonus BP. At best, something like this would just cancel it out.Still, exit gate t-bagging isn't that big a deal.
This wouldn't affect that in any way. At best, they'd have to leave without being hit.
Well, you think survivors should really get less BPs? When they already get like 1/4 or 1/3 the BPs of killers? I'm not saying playing survivor is hard or should allow you to get away with cheeky things, I'm just saying the BP side of things for survivors kind of sucks.
No, I think there should be some drawback to being injured (i.e.: failing to lose the killer). Something that lasts longer than 16 seconds.

I can just tell from experience that it doesn't really look like they actively ban people for hasassing others in the endgame chat, but maybe I'm just really unlucky so I keep facing toxic players.I can tell from experience that they do. One of the problems is the mentality that they don't, which those very players help perpetuate, since it means people won't report them.

Report them using the in-game report. Help purge this cancer that plagues the community.Eh, that won't do much. I think what dbd needs is a rep system, kinda like overwatch's.
It'll get them banned, since "people" like that are consistently like that. It'll do more than pretending they don't exist.

Okay. Picture this: Instead of the perk not activating in a chase, the perk deactivates once you're within 24 meters of a survivor. BUT, the perk wouldn't show you if you are or aren't in 24 meters of a survivor. No perk glow indication and no haste effect removal notification. What then? Then you can rely on the fact that you can physically see the speed at which you're moving to know if it's taking effect or not.
PS: My notifications are disabled, so @'ing me is pointless. -
I don't cycle survivors because they're just skins and I have all the perks I want on Jake anyway, but I do cycle killers. I don't play Nurse, though.

Won't this just lead to killers going straight for the survivors who put up offerings?

This is why I proposed that objectives should be individual for each survivor. If you can't pull your own weight, you die.

That would just result in even more dodged lobbies. Don't like the killers main? Dodge. Don't like losing to a certain player? Dodge.
The only reason killers can see names is that there in a role of power. Even then you shouldn't really see names till the games start tbhWhich is exactly what happens now if you mirror the problem:
Don't like the Survivors main? Dodge. Don't like losing to a certain player? Dodge.
Killers shouldn't see Survivors names, Survivors shouldn't see Killers names. Neither have any reason to know this other than to dodge matches.
The difference is that when survivors were dodging, queues were impossibly long for both sides. Right now, queues are long for survivors because there aren't many people playing killer.
Queues for me are long iregardless (rank 1 survivor and rank 4 killer atm. plus the event going on and me being in nz, Queue times are always abysmal). people shouldn't dodge lobbies. though being paired with anything higher then a set ping should be an option. however you shouldn't really be able to dodge
*regardless, and it's no surprise that someone living in a relatively remote region has long queues.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Queues were longer for survivors due to the event being more survivor sided point wise, they adusted killer scoring for that very fact.Just a heads up to people so to not make this scenario something it's not.
And how do you explain survivor queues having become longer over the past several months? The event was just the last straw, nothing more.

I'm not sure I'm a fan. This would, essentially, be bloodlust that does not have counterplay. Failing to catch the survivor would be rewarded with a massive speed boost that they cannot get rid of. You would basically be closing the gap twice as fast as you normally would and upon hitting a survivor, drop back down to closing the gap 66% faster. The only trade-off is that you don't get bloodlust on the obsession (since you pretty much have the bloodlust mechanic in the form of this perk against everyone else).I would always run this, is the simple version. It's just too good. Someone could outplay me and outsmart me and I would get a massive speed boost for it. Even when I do hit them it wouldn't fully go away, and they can't force me to lose it with a safe pallet either. That's not even considering the map pressure I could apply while moving around at 5.2m/s.
Well, like I said to @se05239, what would you think if the speed boost was deactived while in a chase, but you kept the stacks?
That would just feel frustrating as a killer when playing normally, and lead to tricking the chase system to take advantage of it when playing... less than normally.
-
Nope. They didn't quit before SWF was introduced either. However, it would cause the same problem as back then - survivors lobby dodging to try to get into lobbies together.
-
Yes, I'm worried because basic logic shows that fewer lobbies means longer queues, and people quit when their queues are too long.
