Please say it is a lie...
Very few game developers are good or even average at the games they make.

Also @Orion @Mc_Harty @Boss @HavelmomDaS1 how was it dealing with the infinites before bloodlust and the entity block and the double pallet spawns, must have been frustrating for sure.
Infinites are free escapes. It's not possible to catch survivors, no matter what, so you're better off DCing or finding someone else.
-
Since release. Feels like a lifetime ago.
-
Killers being powerful at all levels would definitely bring back the scare factor, because you'd know that the next step you take could be your last.
-
I've read reports of killers whose pings spike once they get into the actual trial, due to the added strain on their system. That might be what's happening.
-
@ColgateAdvancedWhite said:
You can see the general mindset of killers."Let me farm you, or you don't play at all."
Pretty much sums up the selfish mentality of the few frequent posters here
Literally nobody said that, but you do you.
-
@SIlentCetra said:
Yeah, I do. And I play both killer and surv, and both sides need to stop whining and crying about every little thing, especially item use. If killers want items removes, then killers can have all addons and offerings removed too.Well, then I hope you and I don't play on the same region, just so you don't make me get dodged.
-
@SIlentCetra said:
Like I said, there's nothing wrong with bringing an item. Sounds like you're the one who dodges for items, despite your claims to the contrary.It is PART OF THE GAME.
Do you play on PC, by any chance?
-
@SIlentCetra said:
######### are you even talking about?- You bring in an item.
- Killer dodges.
- Killer gets an instant new lobby.
- Three other survivors get screwed because you decided your feelings of self-righteousness were more important than everyone else's time.
Is that clear enough for you? You're not going to get lobby dodgers to stop dodging items because killers have extremely fast queues. You're not doing anything to help the situation by bringing in items. All you're doing is screwing over other survivors.
-
@SIlentCetra said:
Your point? You are literally lobby dodging for people using what is given to them in the game. Maybe you would rather an insta kill button to just give you an insta 4k! Then you don't have to worry about items anymore
I only dodge for two reasons: high ping and toxic behavior in a previous trial. I'm talking about when I play survivor and get people like you, who'd rather feel self-righteous than actually play the damn game. Survivors are the ones with ridiculously long queues; not killers. You're just making everyone's queues longer because you're not willing to bite the bullet.
-
Isn't there an add-on called "Speed Limiter"?
-
@SIlentCetra said:
The problem is the same crap you see in For Honor. These stupid "rules" crybabies make up in their heads and expect people to follow.If I have a medkit and think it will help, I'll bring a medkit. If I want to try and go for an epic flashlight save, I'm bringing a flashlight.
Items are in the game and staying. Just like NOED. People need to stop being little whiners about everything and getting pissy because someone uses what is in the game.
Dodge me killers, go ahead. Maybe when you keep taking 20 years to find a match or always suck because you never learn to deal with items, you'll finally stop lobby dodging.
I get "pissy" with your attitude because it's not just you being dodged; it's three other survivors.
-
On paper, net nerf. It's only available for a set duration, has a more restrictive activation condition, and may never trigger due to lack of an unhook.
-
@Nickenzie said:
Yeah no problem, you literally said survivors bringing items will likely make a killer dodge. I made sure to highlight it in bold while defining what the pronoun "it" means to add more clarification.About my reply to your comment, sorry, I just think dodging over a survivor's item is so childish in my opinion. I didn't mean to imply that you was dodging survivors with items, I meant to say that the idea behind it is so frivolous.
Again, thank you. I appreciate someone who can admit when they've made a mistake.
I will agree it's annoying, but I don't know if I'd call it childish. In another thread, another user pointed out seven perks that can help to counter items. Most of them were teachables, and most of the teachables were paid DLC. People will just go with the easy route of dodging. And hell, even if you have the perks, sometimes you want to equip something else, rather than being forced to run the same builds over and over again.
Dodging is just a symptom of other problems with the game. -

You're not going to convince dodgers not to dodge. That's simply not possible. The best you can hope for is that the devs fix the reasons why they dodge. Personally, I don't bring in items and rarely use offerings, but thanks to my teammates, I still get dodged.There are so many ways to help make items less usable. Nurse's, Coulrophobia, Overwhelming, Franklin's, Lightborn, Ruin, NOED to help with people who Gen-rush...I don't understand.
Six out of the seven perks you mentioned are teachables from six different killers, four of whom are from paid DLCs. The seventh can be disabled before it ever activates. Also, killers, like survivors, only have four perk slots. They can't afford to run every single perk just to counter items. Dodging is easier, so they go with that instead.
It's really simple. Look at the items they have; pick a perk or two to counter them.
You can't complain about someone not having perks when the SOS exists and if the killer doesn't want to level up others; that's their problem. Not the survivors.
Dude, four out of the seven perks you mentioned are only available if you pay for them. No, it's not the survivors' fault, but people are going to do what is easier for them, regardless. You're not going to logic people into not dodging.

First you said you never said that you said what you CLEAR AS DAY posted (your first post, which I quoted) & that INSTEAD you said "you hate waiting as a survivor for 30 mins just because someone wants to be self-righteous" <-- not a direct quote, just a synopsis. Now you're asking me to show you proof about something completely different. You're all over the place bud. Do you not see how unstable your counter argument is? I've screenshot what I responded to twice and you still refuse to see why I defended my aspect on your biased quote.This is my last time responding to you because you are in complete denial and you want me to bow to your feet and apologize for something that had nothing to do with what I quoted. Not gonna happen. Take care though.
I accept your apology for the mistake you know you made.

All that we know about her is that she goes through a cleansing period with the blight and all.
I'm sorry, when was it confirmed the entity was a girl? I really want to know (plz source)
It's not really confirmed but it is potentially of a female gender.

xD no if a french word finish by ''-té'' that doesn't mean it's a female chara but in french we use -l'- so it means that we don't know its gender.
From a french guyTell that to the guy who made the wiki, I'm going off of what the wiki says.
In french we use -le- for male and -la- for female but when a word start with a vowel we use -l'-. In that case we don't know if it's a female or a male. The Entity (Entité in french) starts with a vowel so we use -l'- to designate it so in french it's genderless.
to be honest, the entity being female does seem more interesting than male...
Genderless makes the most sense though.
If the Entity is slowly learning about the real world, I wonder what more things could it bring into It's realm...And what is the French word for "Entity"? Is it male or female?

I'm not apologizing for something I didn't do. I responded to a quote you CLEARLY posted and now you want to apologize because you decided to change your mind on how you feel about this after being confronted by people about your biased aspect of this topic. That is not the quote I responded to.You didn't respond to any quote, or at least none of mine. You implied I was saying survivors were not allowed to bring in items, which is something I've never said in any thread. The words are not there in any way, shape, or form, and I even explained myself further when someone else had a similar reading problem, which I then quoted at you to point out this discussion had already been had with someone else.
However, rather than accept that you made a mistake and apologize for it - which you did and should - you're pretending that the statement "survivors bringing in items makes killers dodge" somehow means "survivors aren't allowed to use items".You know you're wrong. My words are right there for all to read, and they don't say what you pretend they do. It's up to you to do the honest thing and admit your mistake, or keep doing what you're doing.

LMAO, I'm sorry is that the quote of this discussion right now? Because last time I checked, I responded to something way different...That other quote you just showed me has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. But nice try.
It's an expansion/explanation of that quote, if you were to follow the discussion, but even that quote doesn't say what you said it does.
Is it really that hard for you to admit that you ######### up and apologize?

There were so many good examples of actual entitlement from killer mains you could've chosen from, but you decided to make stuff up instead. Why is that?

@Dreamnomad said:
It's no secret that the devs don't particularly care for camping and tunneling as a strategy. They have steadily given reasons for killers to leave the hook with perks such as BBQ, PGTW, Devour Hope, and Make Your Choice. They have also given survivors tools to help with dangerous hook rescues such as Borrowed Time, Breakdown, Deliverance, Kindred, Decisive Strike, and We'll Make It. But that is a very soft handed approach. Obviously killers still actively camp and tunnel.Rewards for not playing in a way that is considered detrimental should be built-in and impossible to take away, if they're to have any effect. Of the four killer perks you mentioned, every single one is from a different (paid) killer. It's absurd to expect players to purchase and then level up four different characters just so they can benefit from what the developers want them to do (if indeed we assume that's what they want, although we know that's not the case).
-
There are many explanations, but until you accept that the killer doesn't have to bow to the survivors' will, you will never recognize it.
Survivors are supposed to be the weak role. If you're not picking the survivor role to face almost insurmountable odds against an unstoppable killing machine that makes you earn everything you try to do, then why'd you pick survivor?
