Same. I have no idea how any of the survivors know how to even fix a generator tbh. I usually leave tech issues for an expert lol.
Without the fear of death and unlimited time for experimentation, anyone can figure out literally everything about the universe. Other than the trials and the fact that it's impossible to escape, it's an engineer's playground.
-
I have poor stamina, but I'm strong and can be extremely quiet. So I'd probably do decently.
-
Pretty sure this will be for all platforms.
@Skittlesthehusky Instead of using your platform's interface to access your friends list (which is an overlay that can slow down the game or even cause crashes), it will all be done in-game.

Such a slew of helpful criticism.
Sorry, I misclicked when I went to get dinner.
I don't think survivors should be punished for not taking risks. It's absurd that they should be forced to make bad plays just to avoid punishment. Obvious exceptions include holding the game hostage and griefing, which hatch camping definitely is not.

Nope.

I can also be balance to keep the Stun Time at 5 seconds tbh.
The balance comes from reducing the stun to what the devs wanted it to be without Enduring.
-
@gantes said:
They said during a Q&A stream that the Enduring changes occured so that they can balanced other stun effects in the game to a single value where they don't over/undershoot (like what happened with DS).
So we should expect DS changes in the future. If we don't get them, by all means, we have to constantly remind the devs of what they said.
We already know how DS was balanced in the absence of Enduring. The devs literally said so when they buffed it to account for Enduring. This doesn't need testing, this needs a change, now.

How many rounds of blinks can you dodge from a decent Nurse before she downs you? Does it EVER take more time than any other killer? On average, is there any killer who can down you faster? With the map pressure she has too?
Quite a few. I actually have less success at dodging other killers' M1 hits.

No.

Ah yes, "Sweaty" is the new term you kids are using for "Try Hard" I guess?
Let me clue you in on a very old proverb
"If you aren't playing to win, why keep score?"
Great proverb. People who don't play to win shouldn't complain about losing.

Rewarding =/= OP.
Something doesn't get the right to being unbalanced because it's hard to learn. Learning one character in specific doesn't make you entitled to win all the time.
True, which is why the Nurse isn't like that.

Really ? I'm probably meeting some seriously bad hunters since I survive about 2/3 of all my matches if I'm not trolling for chalenges.
But yes It's gotten so much better from it's old self. I didn't think I'll buy it back but devs really nailed the rework.
Well, you have to keep in mind I just started playing a few days ago.

As I understand as a hunter you want to slug and not immediately execute scavengers for a bonus multiplier to points. But that feels like a weak incentive to not execute immediately for most people - just like in dbd a lot of killers don't care about anything but the kills.
What's the point of playing killer if you don't kill?
-
@gantes said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/505714#Comment_505714
Yes, you do have to be decent do play the Nurse.
The gap between a decent Nurse and a good Nurse is still huge though, and if you're just decent you're still better than most killers at high ranks, no matter how good their players are.
Being hard doesn't justify being OP. That's basic game design/balance.
Being hard justifies being rewarding. That's basic game design/balance.

I personally prefer dbd with I see where you're coming from. There's just something about dbd's atmosphere that I love.
Don't get me wrong, DbD's atmosphere is perfect. DG allows scavengers to troll the hunters by taking down their stuff from very far away or literally turning invisible.

Why do killers feel the need to actively post aggravating or derogatory responses in the SURVIVOR lobby? I don't feel the need to go into the killer lobby and tell killers how to play, act, think or condescend them.
I am not a dev but I would guess that they probably didn't envision the survivor lobby as a forum for killers to cast shade on survivors while we are discussing survivor related topics.
Killers are free to post wherever and just know that you represent the killers in the game. Your posts are a reflection of your personal character.
BTW, this goes for survivors behavior toward killers as well.
This is to discuss survivor-related topics, it's not a survivor main forum. And you don't know who is or isn't a killer main unless they flat-out tell you.

I was going to, but then I forgot and lost interest.

So Killer-sided of you.
Killers get perks like NoEd and BBQ which change a losing game to a win, and survivors have to absolutely modify their playstyle to play around these perks, and have no ways to counter it.
Yet for you just because a survivor has a one-use perk like DS it has to carry an extra penalty?
It's a good thing you're not in charge of DBD's balance.
So you want counters that don't require you to modify your playstyle in any way?
-
Zero. I will literally never buy it.

Battle Passes use psychological triggers to make players want to opt in so they don't miss out on stuff and once they're in, they cannot just stop because then they'd feel like they're wasting their money.
Its a modern day subscription service that doubles as a predatory way for companies to squeeze money out of their players.
Every single product ever designed does the same.

As long as its cancellable imagine the potential for mindgames. Survivors have to guess whether you really will teleport or if you're faking it. Guess wrong, and you get smacked or wasted quite a bit of time.
Except you can already tell that charging this power will slow the Nightmare during and after the charge, so there won't be any mind games.

@xChrisx you dude shouldn't even deserve an answer. I'm just suggesting something to put more low tier killers into balance, i have no issues with the current gameplay balance but MoM, if i pick up viable killers
@Orion I now but how much nurse or billy could benefit from that? maybe wraith.. i'm recently learning huntress wich is very good, it's so unfortunate that she has no map pressure.
@StarMoral that's also a good idea
@Mat_Sella @White_Owl yeah some killers like spirit would probably get buffed too much, the idea behind this perk was resolve the viability for all the killers, putting so more trapper, wraith etc. in a higher tier, they did with spirit fury, it was a perk but also a buff for all lower tier killers.. i think the perk need some adjustement, but somehow, has potential to be balanced and meta at the same time
By moonwalking during a chase.
-
Moonwalking breaks this perk, and any perk that can be used to increase map pressure for slower killers can also be used for faster killers.

@Orion If it's only Survivors who can be 'toxic', where in this scenario Killers can never be toxic (because of some unseen or logically explainable law of gamer physics) what happens when someone oh I don't know. PLAYS BOTH Killer and Survivor? does that make them toxic Killers because they play Survivor or does that make them Survivors with good sportsmanship because they play Killers? Wait Survivor's cant be good sportsmen and Killers cant be toxic! this goes against the laws of online game physics! PARADOX! OH NOES! -mind blown-

I didn't say only survivors could be toxic. However, the thread is about survivors, so I stuck to the topic.

nah, you're probably the most biased killer main on this forum. All your posts can be summarized into "killer good, survivor bad" or "buff killer, nerf survivor". Seriously, try forming a sentence that doesn't sound like a triggered reddit killer main lol.
Sweetie, I've played more survivor than killer for a while now. So maybe the problem is that you're the biased one.

That's what all killers with a big ego think. It's you.
You are just being outplayed.
Just to clarify, your statement is that someone with a big ego would consider that their opponents are just better than them in every respect. Do I have that right?
-
Because survivors are toxic. People can try to excuse this by saying there are more survivors than killers, but anyone who's played this game on both sides and honestly looked at the reactions knows that survivors are disproportionately more toxic than killers. That's just the hard truth.

@Orion you down the unhooker, and go straight after the unhooked regardless of what you think, that still counts as tunnelling. DS is fine. I might make a 'hard to swallow pill' thread about stuff like this.
So what is "tunneling"? Not giving a free hook escape? That's what you're saying, in practice, that you're not supposed to go after the unhooked person no matter what.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/075/2PZVOVUY8YT3.png
I never said I didn't admit that. But that's in very few cases. And the nerfs suggested are completely unreasonable as it still works and functions as intended even if it sometimes hits non tunnellers. It might be abusable now, but can you imagine how killers would abuse it if it works are a guy is hooked? Here's a likely scenario that would be abused.
What if you downed the 'unhooker' right after they unhooked with an instadown killer like Billy and instantly downed the 'unhooked' from some instacooldown.
Then you hook the 'unhooker' and then the 'unhooked's' DS is gone because of your nerf idea? You tunnelled him and exploited a way to remove his second chance.
DS is fine, it needs no nerfs. I can't believe people are so quick to want it butchered even though it was nerfed- from a ridiculous state- a while ago.
How is it tunneling to go after a different guy first? Explain that to me.

@PeepingPeacock Slug, slug and slug. Or just get a stopwatch and count 60 seconds. I
So you admit that the perk doesn't actually only work on "tunnelers", and that you need to take special precautions when encountering this perk even if you're not doing the thing that the perk is supposed to counter.

The thing with Billies is that they always run the same perks. Very boring and predictable. At least the Spirit can make the games more interesting with her mind games.
