Lolz any killer that is below mid, and "just for fun" tier shouldn't cost money .. skins yes .. but the killer? lol nah.. ill pass ... I love my Spirit, she was well worth the money.

Another perk idea within theme.
You solved the box, we came ---
When a survivor cleanses a totem all survivors within a 20 meters of that totem will be revealed for 5/7/10 seconds. When all totems have been cleansed all survivor auras are revealed for 5 seconds and he killer gains 5% percent to their movement speed for 10 second. -
So Freddy got an indirect buff just by Legion existing

I agree, Billy's Chainsaw is also kind of like this, a really good Survivor can juke the saw but you only need to be decent and looking behind you to dodge this, especially if the killer has an animation for charging his hook throw.''I Am PAIN!'' is super creative and deadly, you would only use it for slugging and when you slug you usually leave that person alone so it's not overpowered. It's kind of like MYC but it's different and it can also be paired with Thanatophobia which is badass.
Yeah kinda what I was going for, more strategic time wasters to help killers in the long run.
''I Have Such Sights To Show You'' I don't understand why the Survivor going into the Basement can't see Auras for a few seconds, perhaps you could explain the usefulness since the person in the Basement has no Aura anyway from the other abilities of this perk. But I love that the person who gets off the hook is Mangled.
It would block any perks that allow the survivor to see the killer while in the basement, just to disorient a little. It could wreck Kindred. Survivors are typically shown on the hook in the basement on console, again this is a disorienting perk to make survivors wonder where their buddy is and without good map awareness they have to spend some time to find the basement. Mangle is mangle. Makes the basement hooks deadlier.
''Welcome To Oblivion'' I love the movement speed, who doesn't, but the Exposed part, ''by this time'' what time? You get the speed right after the unhook and keep it for 15/20/30 seconds, does everyone get Exposed after the speed boost is gone? And why is everyone Exposed for such a short period? I mean I get that you could be in a chase and maybe when those 30 seconds are up they are exposed and you can down them instantly. Is that what it is for? It's an interesting perk because it punishes Survivors for NOT being Altruistic which is very different and I love it but It's weird.
My idea was to "encourage" some altruism for the survivors as a sort of "crowd control" for the killer. The survivors would get the exposed status AFTER the speed boost. The time for exposure could be upped but the idea would be for the Killer to home in with the speed boost, wait for the expose effect and get some insta downs since the chain is a mid range grab attack. Tunneling would cancel the perk for 60 seconds, and the survivors have the chance to cancel the perk for 60 seconds by healing the survivor.
Anyway I love this idea, I think this would be perfect if they wanted to bring in Pinhead or make their own version. Hell, if they brough in Pinhead he could run around with his hook knife and when he charges his long hook he could be holding the box. His Mori would be chains ripping Survivors to pieces. And I love that you did a Basement perk, I love those with a passion

Thnx man ^^ nice to meet a fellow Hellraiser fan!

Would be absolutely 100% overpowered. Being able to just deny the entire chase, and make a survivor come back to you for a free hit.I only slightly disagree:
it would suffer from straight line trajectory maybe even worse than hatchets, so it could be juked. It wouldn't have anywhere near the hatchet range (which can hit survivors across the map), and since it doesn't do damage by itself it cant be grimed like Huntresses 1 shot hatchet. Perks like Dead Hard could in theory work to semi-counter as well. Add on the fact it has to be charged up like a chainsaw, so its not instant, and has a small cool down to make sure it can't be spammed when missed. I don't really think its overpowered other than presenting a mechanic that hasn't been seen before. -
How the hell would you balance a gun in a game about slasher flicks?
-
yes.. lets give survivors the ability to duck skilled Killers, and stomp on "EZ" killers even worse. No this wont get abused, truuuuusssttttt theeeeeemm.
-
I have used Rank 3 Make Your Choice on Hag (50 level)... Your mileage may vary .. Its fun, but not on my "must have" list.
-
No .. you think its toxic now? Now imagine a bunch of people who didnt give a crud to pay for it. Not to mention the inevitable micro-transaction hell to keep up with costs. No I dont want it to be f2p.

- NOED: Just remove it from the game.
Cleanse the totems ... It removes it from game
- Camping/face camping: Increase the negative chaser points based off proximity (Face camping from first hook until dead should result in no chaser emblem).
Okay, as long a gen rushing has a simular effect on survivors, if they complete gens "too fast" they should get less points.
- Decisive strike: It should require the 50% wiggle regardless of obsession.
As long as its a One-and-done kind of perk, i dont get a crud how you change it.
-
We are seriously complaining about character selection? Out of all the things that are a problem ... the freedom to choose your load out and change you mind, is the new "OP?" Is this bait? This sure feels like bait.

Hex perks are a gamble. Treat them as such. The best way to protect your totems is to play around and patrol your totems instead of gens (if gens and totems spawn near each other, great!) Keep in mind how far you are from you totems and how fast you can travel to them. Slow killers are kinda stuck playing defensive. Faster killers can sprint back and forth and be a bit more aggressive.
However keep in mind patrolling your totems is only great as long as survivors are looking for your totems, and not just gen rushing you. If survivors are going after your totems you can pretty much count them as coming to you. Still get it in you head that totems are only there to slow the game down and buy you time to catch survivors. Otherwise you are just outta luck. Sometimes your totems pop right next to a Survivor, there is nothing to be done about it. Hex totems are always a gamble and a gimmick. Always assume you are going to lose your totems by endgame.
The best way to have total freedom is to not play with totems. If you just throw them into a build with no plans on protecting them, you just wasted a perk slot (unless you are against a noob survivor team.) As much as survivors will complain about this hex per or that hex perk, it is only as good as the killer is willing to defend them.
-
I don't run NOED but I run Devour Hope wich is also a totem perk and I have been called trash for using it. Its not my fault people ignore totems. HONESTLY this shouldn't be a issue, Hexes are TEMPORARY perks, HOW temporary is up to the survivors. Once it is gone the killer CAN NOT get it back! Every Hex perk on a killer is a potentially wasted slot! Why is this such a issue?!? Hexes SUCK and a hex that LITERALLY GOES OF ENDGAME should be the EASIEST to cleanse (I'm talking NOED, not Devour Hope). YOU HAVE ALL GAME to get rid of it. Its comments like the ones in this threat that lead me to believe that some people just want to push a button to win and have done with. Maybe the game will go mobile one day and you can have fun on your phones, you guys have phones right?

I like horror games.
I like Horror co-op games.
I like Horror games where I can BE the monster.
I WISH there was a horror MMO that wasn't absolute garbage.DBD scratches several of those itches, and helps me release a lot of stress.
My favorite survivor is Meg, although Nea is starting to grow on me (with the right cosmetics.)
Spirit is my favorite killer, although i play them all. Im a fan of Japanese "dead-wet-girl" ghost stories and lore. -
I wrote wall of text.
Deleted it.
Wrote another wall of text.
Deleted that too.Meyers and Spirit have this thing called "outplay potential" ... If you do not want to put in the time or effort to learn counters to certain killers then i dont know what to tell you. Mikey is fine as is. Billy, Mike and Spirit are all fairly balanced Imho.
-
If players were protected by hooks either unhooking or being unhooked, this woudl take away the threat of getting hooked in the first place. Playing to not get hooked, and not get caught imho should be the goal. Survivors need more incentive to play stealthy instead. Besides you have body-blocking and flashlights to torment campers with anyway. There are already a plethora of saves and forgiveness perks afforded to survivors already. HOWEVER that is assuming you aren't running with a SWF. If you are a solo then I understand the frustration of it being instant hard mode for you. Regardless to make it so that killers cant kill without a 2nd, 3rd or 4th hoop to jump through is pretty much turning them all into the current Legion. Then dump SWF on them, and welp, enjoy your longer queues because killer would be a freaking horror to play.

You mean perks and addons that affect the number of pallets? That would be cool if it was only on the killer side, like call upon the entity to keep one pallet from spawning or a perk that has whenever you hook someone a pallet breaks.I was thinking a "keep 1 pallet from spawning" item to burn. But not a perk, spirit fury already works fine in my opinion.

I think a better option might be a 4th unteachable perk for survivor & killer. Have it unlock on Prestige 3 level 50 so the grind has a goal. Doesn't have to be better than everything else just something unique to the individual. Some swf already run quadruplets anyway.it would still start tier lists for survivors ... Im a killer main, so i don't really care.. but are you ready for nerf this, buff that ... tier lists for survivors? or would you rather just pick whatever survivor you want because they are all technically the same.
(My god, i just realized there is an actual philosophical debate hidden within the mechanics of dbd... ill have to bring it up later in off topic or something.)

I AM a Killer main. And while it's been a while since I played Billy, I'm very confident I could learn fairly quickly how to play him at an optimal level. If I can do it with weaker, harder Killers like Fredd, Doctor and Pig then I can sure do it with him.
Okay(?)

Dude just removing collision with anything in the awake world would work wonders, however I am not sure how palettes would work. I don't have Freddy, but does he have the ability to create fake pallets like the doctor? If not, he should, without an addon, in the dream world. It may be OP but fake generators in the dream world or other such mind games would be interesting as well. Just make being in the dream world more dangerous than just getting hit, and stop having every little thing in the waking world get in his way (aside from waking up actions.)

I honestly knew a jock in highschool who was loud, abrasive and kind of a bully. He would pick on me all the time. However as soon as anyone else would try to pick on me he would be in their face defending me. We formed a really weird relationship. Some people are born barbarians, with a good heart. I see David as being that archetype. He plays the tough because he thinks some people look up to "that guy." Likewise not everyone has the same reaction to fear, that why its called "fight or flight." David represents Fight (Nea does too but that's not the subject of this thread.) The entity in my opinion needs to feed on different types of fear (imagine eating only one type of anything for all eternity.) And to watch a jock go down despite all of his bluster is fun for the Big-E, so is the terror on the peoples faces who thought he might actually succeed.

wouldn't that obliterate most "killer main" responses that survivors should just "git gud" while simultaneously saying the game is survivor sided or that survivors are OP.(I swear I'm not stalking you, we're both just replying to very similar threads.)
crouches into tall grass
I cant speak for every killer or survivor, i can only speak for myself .. but yes, that would ultimately be my point, for both sides.
I dont mind if people stalk me, just don't mori-me, I like to get hooked and hang around instead.

I've been gen rushed with no hits on survivors with Billy, it all depends on the group of survivors.
He can still hit people even if they don't run straight due to add-ons and the fact that the reach on his chainsaw is VERY forgiving.
He used to be kept check by the game being survivor sided. Now with pallets changed, loops changed, vacuums gone, vaults changed etc , and add on top of that more anti-loop perks like spirit fury and bamboozle, his weakness is being covered well leaving only his strength.
Fair enough.
That means i just suck with billy ... But if i have to "get gud" with a killer, it doesnt tell me that the killer it OP; that tells me its the players skill is better. Just saying.

and anytime a killer main wants something to be nerfed survivor side should post a video of them running laps around the killer until all 5 gens are done and all totems broken with no injuries and 4 escapes, including one who decides to go for the hatch.
huh, well... that doesn't seem like it would be a very fair requirement, does it?
(I will agree that I'm not great with billy either, my best seems to be amanda and hag, maybe spirit)
Im down with this honestly ... If something is truly broken it needs to be proven to be truly broken. This is why I don't complain about perks, I complain about jerks (instead.)

Sorry, what would happen are 4mans of the top survivor with no variety. 4 man trolling would be worse as well. Killers are a solo game, it makes sense for tier lists and all that to go with a killer. However survivor has always about freedom ... pigeon-holeing them would be the opposite of this.
-
I see it more like old school monster movies: Frankenstien versus the Wolfman, or the more modern Freddy versus Jason. The brainer ones would try to manipulate the brawnier ones, the survivors would try to get them to fight while they escape.
-
I think rank is arbitrary and meaningless.
-
If i suspect im playing a SWF i load in my toxic Spirit or toxic Hag. No Mercy. I seem to get plenty of rage quits too. Wait till i get better with nurse
(one day.. one day.. Shes just so hard on console.)Randos get the Clown or "Chill Spirit," or "Chill Hag."
I like randos, i can just sip beer, chill and be happy with a kill or two. I
I dont even feel the need to try-hard 4k.
Ill happily de-rank for randos if i feel they deserve it. -
Spirit Main here,
Besides the obvious top picks, these are the builds I use to have fun:The Grudge -
Whispers, Make your Choice, Rancor, Hex: Haunted GroundThe Ring -
Hex: Devour Hope, Rancor, Hex: Haunted Ground, ThanatophobiaGhost in the Machine -
Hex: Ruin, Overcharge, Pop Goes the Weasle, RancorI Tunnel Claudettes -
Franklin's Demise, Sloppy Butcher, A Nurses Calling, Whispers -
What survivors need is:
1 escape hatch,
1 exit door,
1 flare canon to call in a air rescue. On a serious note, door regression isn't a half bad idea ... or let me kick the door like i can kick gens.
-
What if the person playing has a vision impairment ... I'm serious ... why assume its someone trying to game the system. I personally keep my screen darker than normal it doesn't mean im trying to make it harder on myself. Lastly some people play games on potatoes .. they can't handle a lot of effects, turning them off will make things look bright and like legos. Regardless i see lighting as arbitrary and complaining about it petty.
And im a killer ... if thats how a survivor rolls, whatever, Im still gonna hook you. -
Killers are supposed to let survivors win.
Survivors are supposed to giggle and give each other candy.
The generator fairy is supposed to get all gens done and the survivors are supposed to "la-la-la" out the door.
Then killers are supposed to make another match to let survivors win.....
Seriously, no mercy ... just play the game.
-
::tries not to bash face into wall::
Why not put "force fields" around survivors to prevent killers from stopping unhooks?
But what about ttttuuuunnneling?
Make the survivor invincible for 30 seconds after an unhook Or better yet, make the survivor go invisible!! Yeah! Invisible! for 30 seconds!!! If the killer still manages to hit them then they get stunned for 30 seconds! That would fix tunneling AND camping! AYYYYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYAYyyyyyy!
[Disclaimer: this post is sarcasm and a joke. ]
-
I ignore most comments from survivors, i tend to assume its all salt. Ill give a "thumbs up" to a survivor i feel played well ... other than that i stay silent and go on my merry way.
-
Legion is Nea in disguise.
-
Solution: Make a grab-a-- mode where the survivors run in circles and tickle each other with no threats from anything.
-
The old way allowed survivors to loop and avoid her ad-nauseum to the point her power was pointless. Survivors didn't run, they were encouraged to engage. Now this way you don't want to stick around her (as it should be) and get away from her as soon as possible. However i will admit, I'm a Spirit main, so I'm biased about this and I admit it. I think she is in a balance state atm, shes no Billy or Nurse... but shes right there in the Hag/ Clown/ Huntress spot.
-
Typically (traditionally) survivors have been teenagers to senior citizens. Only one movie with a clown really comes to mind where junior highers or below fill that role, oh and that netflix show. Typically because, unless they are a total gary stu/ mary sue kids don't have the developed survival instinct, and they are squishy. What child do you know has the strength or technical know how to repair a generator, sabotage a hook, perform first aid, yadda-yadda? Some people would probably get their ha-ha-s from hooking a kid, but in the predator and prey standpoint i see it boring as all shizz.
NOW A CHILD KILLER, on the other hand... The only thing mechanically about would be this ... imagine how small killers like Freddy, Hag and,Legion can throw people off .... now go smaller... I would about the crud out of that, I'm just saying.. I would take that broken mess and wreck people with it. Hide behind windows, jukes get nullifed, oh yeah.. that would be awesome.. probably the reason why it wouldn't happen. Now get ssmmmaaaalllleeerrrrr .. lets go Chucky sized and the trolling possibilities are endless!
Now Lore wise, i would assume that Innocence is a perfect counter to Corruption, Light versus dark. The entity would probably LOVE to eat some little kids, but its a bit harder since its kinda out of the reach of the big bad. Im coming from lovecraftian logic here, so who knows. Maybe we will be able to coat our pebbles in the tears of innocent children to one shot the entity in the near future.

People also think a World War 1/2 girl turned animalistic woman who feels zero humanity and thinks killing is fun would make for a good partner.
