Im still trying to get adept blight, everytime I swap my build to just his own perks survivors seem to dc and kill themselves on hook more often, so well done on getting it on twins.
-
Why is the monstrosity that is Midwich lumped in with the other 2?
-
Just Oni, I really dislike him gameplay wise from both sides.
-
The Hit Validation I havent noticed any change with either way tbh, returning to p2p would probably be the best but I doubt its likely. How would they make VPN not work anyway?
also welcome back.

The devs screwed up so badly that they made regular killers slower?
Jesus, how did this patch even make it out of internal testing
I didnt notice it myself but I was mainly playing Myers,Slinger and Wraith with windstorm, so I also didnt have much time where I was at 115%
-
Considering the thread was closed and he was told to put it in bug reports I assume so
-
I didnt notice it with wraith but I can very well believe it could be happening

I am playing them non-stop. My guess would be that others don't play them due to the insane amout of bugs and that very few people realise how strong twins actually are (mainly chase wise) so everyone just assumes they suck so they don't bother getting better with them.
I think youre spot on with the bugs being the issue, they were insanely fun on the ptb, but in that state I cant justify spending money on it, I honestly think PTB blight was in a better position than this.

Community reaction to the patch, first 8 seconds.
I could have cut the video but then this post would have a higher quality than the patch so I decided to make it low-effort.
Jesus its feels like its been ages since I saw that clip.

so it compliments his power

I've been using michael because my daily is for him, but even if it didn't I'm not spending money just for 1 perk on each side that interests me. maybe when the bugs are fixed I may reassess but for now Im happy with what Ive got.

As someone who has been using Surge for some time on my meme build, I think both the cooldown and the basic attack requirements need to go.
what is the cooldown on it again, Ive never really used it
-
@Jay_Whyask said:
That fact that people get upset by this honestly baffles me, these survivors aren't trying to disrespect your blood line by unhooking themselves. This an innocent attempt at a kobe, if you rush for an unhook when the survivor still have forty-ish seconds on their timer the least you can do is let them try to do the singular thing they can while on the hook. You don't lose anything by being polite, your anger is misplaced.
Also, waiting for a survivor to hit the second stage of the sacrificial process before you unhook them is against the rules. If the hooked survivor records you sitting there letting them die there's a very good chance you're gonna get thrown out the door.
How is letting someone go into second stage against the rules? it could be more beneficial to the team to try to push for an important gen or totem than it is to preserve 1 additional hook state. I know I would rather my teammates knock out an active devour hope, or get a central gen done, rather than saving me quicker.

I usually come across Immersed Claudettes and Toxic Neas but you've had toxic Claudettes? That's the first I've heard of it as for Toxic Felix I never ran across one of those before so that's definitely interesting
Really you've never seen the toxic claudettes who teabag and point at you when hooked? Ive seen them a few times both as killer and survivor, if I see it as killer Ill usually end up letting the rest go free and just kill them

Checking their profiles. (Which should not be possible, names and Profiles should be hidden)
And yes, some players do that, checking everyone for their hours and their Friends Lists as well...
still couldn't confirm it, I play on Steam and my friend on Xbox and we play together like once a month, how would the killer and our fellow survivors find out we arent all solo?

Yeah, but then you dont sweat in general. But its not like you use BBQ, NOED, Ruin, Undying in your regular build and switch to a complete Meme Build once seeing that there are 4 Solos in your game. Nobody would do that.
how do you see if its 4 solos even?
-
So basically a better version of breakable walls?
-
Well personally I'm just coming back from a break I took from the game because the matchmaking was horrible in the other way, I was red rank both sides and constantly getting almost exclusively green rank teamates and opponents, it just wasn't fun for me. So I really do hope the matchmaking gets improved soon.

The thing is that till a few months back the topic of the month was only solo vs swf or killer against swf and if the game should make separate queues for solo and swf, which would result in even longer queue times for swf or no games at all.
It was also states/asked for changes to buff solo to a par level with swf and equally buff killer to the new survivor standard level.
Suggestions were easy implementations like giving solo survivors a bunch of information perks as baseline as long as they deactivate when survivor queue up together. Because the biggest difference between solo and swf is the amount of information every survivor has and how much coms give with no possible way to limit/compensate them.
So for example solos get kindred, bond, buckle up, a totem counter and so on, someone counted all perks that coms make obsolete and it were something around 11-12.
It seems the most reasonable way forward, What perks do you think would be those given, buckle up and kindred seem the most important.
-
I've noticed it with Claudettes and Jakes more tbh, most Felix's I see seem pretty chill.

Trying to get another challenge done. Used by Balance four times while being chased in one game but it didn't count.
as far as I can tell, hills dont count, dropping into basement does count, dropping from top floor building on haddonield counts, dropping in badham schoolcounts, dropping off the harvesters on Coldwind maps doesnt

I'm not sure but I think enduring used to affect the stun you get after dropping a survivor but they changed that because it was a counter to DS.
iirc it used to affect all stuns, then they made it just pallet stuns
edit: idk tho never really used it

Windows of opportunity is the best solo perk.
Huntress Hitboxes are fine.
Balanced Landing is the second best exhaustion perk. (Behind Dead Hard)
The only overpowered killer is Freddy.
The game is more balanced than most make it out.
Yes I agree with all o these , though I would say theres quite a lot that can break the balance

Well, if you think you'll DC if you see a iri head, it's a stretegy too?
Sure but its a pretty ######### strategy which guarantees you lose.

It's healthier to buff survs perks like:
boil over: add blind effect for the killer for 15 sec. Used to prevent B&C aura reading
Technician: remove gens sounds and increase 50% of great areas. Used to gain BPs
Distorsion: 5 tokens and infinite aura reading removed from people in the dying state. Used to avoid Hex Undying
Poised: the killer see another gen as finished during 5 secs, not the one finished.
Leader: Add the increasing speed in cleansing and unhooking to the surv that carry the perk
...
As you see is easy as killer, sorry, easy as hell
I dont use any of those perks except distortion so cant really say if it'd be even beneitial, but with Distortion I'd much rather i they kept the tokens at 3 or even reduced them, butt added a way to regain tokens. like maybe you get another token for cleansing a hex, or for a safe unhook. or similar to stakeout building up over time in the killers terror radius

This is not encouraging diversity this is forcing diversity.
You would encourage diversity if other Perks will be as strong as the Meta-Perks but at least on the Survivor-side, there was no strong Perk since Dead Hard, you are basically fine with the Base Game and the Halloween-DLC. If more good Survivor Perks would be released, you would see more diversity.
Same for Killer, Undying changed the Meta, the Perks of The Twins will most likely not have any impact at all (if they stay the same as on the PTB).
But forcing people to change the Perks they paid and grinded for is simply wrong. Let alone that this would only really affect Survivors, because as Killer, you can switch the Killer after a few games and play your favorite Perks on that Killer without any problem, if they are all different than the ones before. E.g. I could play 5 games as Pig and if my Perks get locked at this point, I could play Spirit without any problem, since they dont share any Perks for my Builds.
But also - players should not be forced to play different Killers, if they dont like.
Restrictions like that will make the game quite unfun in my opinion, everyone should be able to run what they like at all time.
I would disagree that The Twins DLC, won't affect the meta, I dont think it'll have a long lasting impact but I think Power Struggle for Survivor and Coup de Grace for killer will both impact the respective metato a similar extent as soul guard did.

objectively, if taken out of the game and set on the highest graphic settings, the newer maps win outright. But in terms of feel, gameplay, tension, and lack of breakable walls, Disturbed Ward comes out as the champion. I wouldn't even be hating so much on the newer maps if they felt better to play on as a killer who loves to try crazy things in chase. I don't even like the newer maps as survivor because I have no good memories of escaping or of having any kind of atmospheric tension.
But mainly, when I see Disturbed Ward, the following images immediately come into my mind:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XS5U8SCC5ZC9/dbd-2016-asylum-generator.jpg
and while these are not taken by me, they imbue nostalgia into me whenever I play the map. Don't these look nice? and the light rays....ahh...
And they look nice even without the obnoxious grass (but the new grass looks really good on PTB Ormond tho 👌) found on the newer maps.
I guess we just have to agree to disagree, Father Campbells chapel has much more enjoyable gameplay, feel and tension to me. as its not a case of, oh Im in the main building Im gonna survive, and oh Im far from the main building well better luck next time.

If you have any experience with an fps then deathslinger is a piece of cake. All you have to do is just wait. And if you juke to the left and right then he'll jsut come straight up and m1 you. At the end of the day he's still far faster than you are so you can't afford to loose disance if he does't loose any in return for aiming.
he does lose distance while aiming though and you dont need to be constantly juking to the left and right just put objects between him and you while dodging when hes likely to shoot i.e. when youre about to turn a corner out of Line of Sight.
-
Id suggest learning to play against him, knowing when he can and cant get a shot is important.
Those 'free' damage states are requiring him to either reel you in and hit you which takes time, or let it break and go through a stun.
His terror radius is 24m 16m with Montior and his shot is 18m, also in regards to near no warning theres a rather loud ringing sound when he aims at you.
Yeah I agree with you on deep wounds graphics being annoying I wish they went to the black and white it used to be.

🤢Those are the maps (along with Ormond) that are at the top of my "Most hated maps because of poor aesthetics" list. I...don't know how you can say what you just said.
By contrast, my favorite map for all roles is Crotus Prenn: Disturbed Ward (Pale Rose got displaced ever since its size reduction).
I can say that because I like the gameplay and theming of the maps, Idk how you can say Disturbed ward looks better than those

Ace Visconti...

What happened to the old Ace Visconti? He's still here, just there is also Ace Visconti 2. What's the difference? He has a two by the end of his name.
I'm sure the universe will stop turning and focus its gaze on an Ace Visconti 2. A paragraph that costs a chapter and a half, that gets more sales than any chapter previously released (even more so than the Halloween or Stranger Things chapters).
there is no /s, this is serious. I'd pay $10 for Ace Visconti 2.
make the dlc in the same format as stranger things, 2 survs and a killer, all Ace Viscontis

I didnt mean every male character, I'm just saying in general, guys seem ok. Girls, not so much.
And I really don't care if guys look like crap. As I don't look at their face becuz I don't care about the guys. I only like girls.
fair enough I just have Ash's bulging eyes burned into my memory

Guys seem ok. But the girls face looks hideous up close. So I don't turn my camera like that.
Need a cosmetic of brown bag that covers the girls face. Only Kate is hot. The other girls can.... Go die I guess, idk.

STBFL for killer
Tenacity for Survivor

I mean it can get MoM treatment and be made useless and Ill still use it as it fits better into my being slugged build of tenacity,Unbreakable Flip Flop than Head on does

You can and I will answer!
Midwich has my favorite design out of any of the maps on dbd, gameplay wise I can agree is atrocious and I would love to see that map looked into, but how the map looks is beautiful.
When I play dbd I don't aim to win, I try my hardest to have fun
I can kinda understand that, it does feel right out of Silent Hill.
-
Its one of my favourite maps alongside Campbell's chapel and The Yamaoka maps
-
@Hoodied said:
I use midwich offerings because I like the map, I never use OoO but I wouldn't be upset over a map offering
Can I ask why? most people I know dislike the map as both killer and survivor, Id like to hear what appeals to someone who likes it?

Honest question... Why do people hate deathslinger and not huntress?
They're both ranged, slinger has infinite ammo but tbh it's not hard to reload as huntress. And a skilled huntress can down you from much further away while slinger has to reel you giving that (admittedly very small) extra chance to escape.
I see a lot of slinger hate but not huntress, if someone could clarify why for me I'd appreciate it.
no clue, I prefer slinger both to play as and to verse but theyre both enjoyable to me

1. Plague is A tier at worst
2. Demogorgon is one of the most balanced killers in the game along with Legion
3. Wraith isn't that bad. He just suffers from a few things like his base stats being bad and his ability to be seen from far away. Besides being add on dependant he's not a bad killer.
'most balanced killers in the game along with Legion'

-
I would rather a new map be a carnival/circus as Im rather attached to the current Campbells chapel
-
I think its just matchmaking being matchmaking, yesterday it seemed especially bad on both ends, as a rank 2 killer I was mainly getting green ranks with one red or purple thrown in, and as a rank 4 survivor I was getting yellow and green rank teammates and killers.
