I wish i were perfect as I used to not be when I wasnt perfect. :)
-
Yeah, some cooldowns should be removed, as in Surge perk. No explanation from devs why they have.
-
I disagree. He looks well balanced as he is, but could be better. He lacks of map pressure, though. Hes good at ending chases faster, indeed.
-
Oh, thats a surprise for me. Tks.

Doesnt Stridor enhances grunts and breathing in a %? So, if you have IW 3 you have 0 grunt. And any % of zero is zero.
Doesnt it work that way?
If so, IW or Off the Record are counters to Stridor, except for the breathing sound.

I think Distortion needs more stacks and maybe the killer won’t find you in the first place. Killers have so many aura reading abilities that I don’t think 3 is enough.
The 3 stacks give you data from when he can see your aura. After they are gonne, you can act properly. This is the main thing about Distortion: data about conditions of aura reading by a perk or addon.

tbh if you use stridor on spirit are you really learning how to play?
its like riding a bike with training wheels and someone is holding onto you so you don’t fall
it makes her trivial to play
The deep synergy with her powers that you describe is so a reason to use it. Isnt it?

So... which is the way most don't realize? You're just describing the perk. Of course it's used to confuse killers and lose chases. What's the news you're trying to spread?
As a forum, he is bringing to ppl that didnt think about it a very helpful tip. Myself took a long time to discover the power of IW. Its not just its description, but its consequences hes talking about to the ones that dont know.

Yeah, DBD Platinum was my Platinum Trophy number 13 (yeah, 13!!!) and a great accomplishment.
Congrats.

How does a colorblind mode works? Just curious. Can link another game with colorblind mode on a video on youtube? Tks if you can. Hope you get it.

Well, new players shall grind new survivors as mains more easily, since it may be their first. Old players tend to stand with old ones.
For me, Quentim is my main "alpha" (p3-50 with all perks), and Meg is becoming that also (p3-50, with almost all perks, slowly grinding) cause she was my first P3 before I buy others survivors. Well, when i started playing for grinding hard and after buying all chars, Quentim was already there, so I chose him. If i started the grind when he was not there, i should stay with whatever main alpha id chose, but him.
And now im going for p3-50 with Ace, given his lower grunts of pain, and the Flying Ace custom.
But Meg and Ace i grind only after getting all new perks with my alpha main Quentim.
So my point is:
1 - the standard survivors have more chance to become mains cause they come with the game, and that includes new players
2 - new players have more chance to have mains in most recent DLCs cause they didnt grind another one, if they buy the DLC
-
Lag does not affect sckillchecks. Its done in your side of connection and the result is sent to the server. Maybe, you getting a framedrop, very commom on consoles.
-
Yeah, OP, I noticed that too. Almost no Zarina on matches, what is not usual when a new survivor is launched, in the first weeks.
If the curves are the problem, as estated by one post, a Brazilian female survivor would make greater than Jane in all physical aspects. I am Brazilian, i go to the beaches, i know what im talking about. :D

Gens are not the killers objective, they’re simply highlighted to help killers find survivors and get chases started.
By your logic if the base game should just show the auras of all gens to all survivors at all times, then survivor auras should be revealed to the killer at all times (seeing as chasing and downing survivors is the killers objective)
This, and...
Hooks auras are shown to killers cause, otherwise, you should hook one only if the hook is in your face. The survivor is wiggling, its not like you have a free time to look for a hook, specially in maps like the hospital or the game.

Now would be a perfect time with many people being at home a lot, due to the virus this could help calm nerves and also increase game time maybe?
I second this.

Why use noed on nurse lol
I dont use Noed on Nurse anymore but... maaaaan, the feeling of downing an exit gate tbagger is amazing with a precise blink. And one more meat for the entity.
Also, when learning her, I used to like Bitter Murmur + NOED with Nurse. When they finished the last gen, all survivors auras shown... things get nasty.
P.S.: I play on PS4
-
Yeah, everytime you may have a dif movement decision to better fit the chances of a hit.
But, when you go backwards and strafe to the right, for example, when the survivor is blocking with an obstacle at the left, you pull him more effectively out of the obstacle, as long as there are two forces over him: to the right and towards you, that reinforces the force to the right. Therefore, its easier to get him out of the obstacle.

Blocked gens dont regress. Ruin has no synergy with Dead Man's Switch.
Nice data. Can tell where you get it, please?
-
I play both roles, but rather killer.
Cause every killer is a different game. And cause i like to stab, bam bam bam, cut, chainsaw, and things like that. I laugh a lot as killer, even when Im stomped. Have the time of my life. Never get salty, but sometimes disappointed when 5 gens pops and im in the middle of the second chase.
And the first person point of view is cool.
But lately, due to challenges, i am beggining to be "that" survivor and enjoying more this role.
-
Sadly, all matches i got against Deathslinger, no one hit me a shot. I am curious about the old west feeling camera.
-
Not a count, but an icon that shows when all 5 totems were cleansed. That would bo good for both survivor (specially solo) and killer ("no NOED? Let me struggle more begore last gen").
A basekit like that would be really good.
-
Yeah, that would be nice. Theres no reason to not add that, specially after the big cooldown nerf.

I thought it was, but I was streaming last night and was commenting on it and several people in chat said they had noticed the same after the update
Well, so lets hope for a dev answer then. :)
-
No, they didnt say it in the update log.
Its probably just a latency issue.

Voice proximity chat is not something I would ever want in DBD. I'm just going to leave this here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Becb2P2Fl90
Now, I've never heard of Mumble, but if it's like Discord and you join friends in a voice chat which is linked to your distance in game, I guess that would be fine for you and your friends / swf squad to do on your own? I wouldn't stand against it I guess as long as it's not something that is integrated into the game itself. Not too familiar with the topic, but just wanted to establish that voice chat in DBD is a really bad idea, third party communications like Discord and Skype are fine though (there's nothing people could do to stop it from being used anyway)
How did they do that? Its video editing, right? Or a pirate version of the game with changes?
I used to like the idea of a ingame prox voice, but now im against that given a lot of reasons.

I think
I think he reffers to getting in the middle of the chain to speed up it breaking. I think its not an exploit, but the survivor should get injuried by doing that, not the other way around, where the chain is the "weakest". LOL
-
I like this kind of topic, when someone brings some ideas of a underused perk. Its aways good to get ideas. Tks.

You don't lose any "warning tier", just respect the rules and there will be no issues and if you are not sure if something is against the rules or not, either ask to a mod (posting on our walls for example) or avoid posting it.
Thanks.

No skillcheck for DS? Yes! And no totem anymore for NOED! Yes!
-
I like it. When not aiming, its a swing hit game, so i rather high sens. When aiming, its a FPS, and a reduction on sens helps to aim.
Once the change of sens comes when you press L2 (PS4), it become natural, not a surprise.
I actually didnt notice the sens change before i read about it on the forum, so natural it was to me.
-
Oh, i totally forgot that perk's effect. I think the aura reading will be kept, given the Buckle Up,'s description: healing from dying to injuried, no matter how you did that, with or without For the People. :D
-
Yeah, i think nothing can change the effect of Buckle Up, except a killer's Knockout.
-
This new map's bushes do not please me as killer.
-
Once you get an instant heal with For The People, Buckle Up is irrelevant.
So, they dont synergise, having both is actually a loss of perk slot.
-
By reading her story in Tome II, It looked like to me she is Mexican.

Is it because of dedicated servers that it no longer lets you see all 5 people you are playing with (who are appearing as "online"?
This bug (maybe a bug?) is going on since the beggining of 2019. Not related to dedicated servers, at least on PS4.

Personally the map is great on Deathslinger, and I can imagine anyone who mains Nurse loving this map.
Loops are mostly balanced, with the streets having a survivor sided one. The main building can be looped by survivors if they play it right and balanced landing is a great perk on this map.
The deathslinger is amazing on this map, especially that you can shoot through the railings in the Dead Dawg Salloon. Many loops also work great with his power.
The only problem I have is that the hatch will nearly always spawn on the streets (similar to Badham preschool) making it so that if you're not prepared the other side is.
Can shoot thru the railings??? I tried that sometimes, and didnt get it. Good to know.

And with a mobile browser, do i click over?
Cause there is also the Gold Creek Whisky addon that i just saw now...

Hoo boy. If you thought Huntress or Nurse was hard on console, just TRY playing Deathslinger.
Since DBD doesn't have separate x-axis or y-axis sensitivity settings, or controller deadzone settings, or even seperate sensitivity settings for ADS, playing this Killer is the hardest thing in the universe. It's possible, sure, but so, so difficult.
You'd genuinely have to only play Deathslinger for several weeks straight on console to be able to even play somewhat well.
Use strafe aiming for refined aim. Thats work for horizontal aiming. FPS in console sucks, but there are techs from FPS you can use to improve your odds in console.
I liked this killer soooo much, im sad im struggling. But somehow, he is easier than Huntress to get a hit with the power. Mainly cause its a "instant" shot and cause there is no sound when you aim so they can get cought easier.
For example, the survivor enters the Shack. So you aim at the window, and have time to do that. He wont know cause there is no sound cue. When he appears at the other side of the window, shoot and spike him. Bring him close and hit thru the window.

Honestly, this is even worse than the ruin nerf
Release a killer that's top 5 worst in the game, ignoring all community feedback even after having an additional week of ptb? Yup.
Make sabo more powerful? Yup.
Buffing toolbox repair speed? Yup.
Release another survivor-sided map, already adding to the 85%+ pool of maps that is survivor sided? Yup.
Fix the game-breaking sound issues that have persisted for months? Not a chance. I can literally stand directly over a character and they're silent, but that's fine.
Balance gen/game speeds? Nope.
Fix various killer bugs, like on Nurse? Nope, but we'll give insignificant buffs to B/C tier killers.
Honestly, it's such a disaster.
The killer is very nice. The toolbox werent buffed, imo.
The rest, I agree.

Yeah so DMS is worth it .I managed to stall the game for at least two minutes and managed to get 2kills because of it. When it's down to the last three gens, it becomes to useful. Can see it working very well with Nemisis.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1152981#Comment_1152981
Yeah I don't see his 3 perks working very well together but on their own they can be pretty powerful if the situation is correct
Yeah, the totem one can be very strong in a full totem build, for example.
-
@Warlock_2020 said:
The aura reading went overboard with the new totem perk. I have seen a worse gen rush since the killer came out. Nobody is doing totems for fear of having their aura revealed for a rediculous time frame.
This was my concern when we read the perk originally. What we need is a perk that protects totems instead of punishing survivors. Something like Corrupt Intervention for totems.
Survivors have little incentive to do anything but gens at this time. That makes gen times an even bigger issue.
If the surv cleanse a dull totem, he will get Oblivion. Only if its a hex totem than there will be aura reading.
-
I aways use the 3 original perks of a character until i get his adept. So, their perks have no sinergy with his powers. I think its more about his lore...
Well, two localization perks (gen aura indication) and one Hex with double function, wich aura reading use to be the most effective than the Oblivion status.
What can I say? When I get the adept, i wont touch those perks with him again. Unless for some meme purpose.

There have also been times where I’ve been harphoon through generators, trees, rocks, walls.
Is this a a part of his ability or is this a dedicated servers Latency issue.
I'd say, dedicated server issue.
-
Definitively, M&A is a perk with sinergy with his power, once it makes the TR smaller than 18 meters.
-
He is amazing to play. I love to hear the shooting, and when it hits its sooo goood.
But, cause I play in console, no mouse, my aim is not that good, but im using the strafe aiming to refined aiming.
One thing is that ppl are countering him bodyblocking the spiked, so sometimes you cant get the second hit cause the chain is loosen.
But the sensation of the shot is cool. Looks instant to me. I know it isnt, but just cause @FireHazard said on another topic. Very fun killer, but needs some buffs to his power.
