  • I feel like it is active. Been finding fair opponents whilst all rank colors.

Are we getting a new trailer for this chapter?

    I hope so. :)

  • I use Corrupted Intervention to minimize this phase of the match wich he cant TP. So, you are reporting a bug, just to be clear.

  • If a Freddy is TP before the first long power bar loading, aka, at the beggining of the match, its a bug or a hack.

  • @Zeus said:

It seems EGC is meant to prevent players from holding the game hostage and is not meant to be an advantage for killers.

    This.

  • Its not a team game, mate. Its a game where the survivors need each other to escape.

As a terror game, imagine the real life. Would go for a save for a unkown person? A player can play that immersive or roleplaying. I used to save after gates were on only ppl i knew that was in a SWF. Otherwise, didnt make sense sacrifice myself if risky.

But nowadays? Now I find fun at that end game and most times I go for the risky saving. The game is no more about escaping, as much as it became more action and less terror in my mind.

And if no one comes to save me? It may happen. I will keep myself there to at least help with my sacrifice not confirmed.

But... idk your rank, cause in my ranks solo players like me act as coordinated as hell, so its hard to die in first hook even without SWF.

Try a more immersive gameplay in the early game. I think mastering stealth must come before mastering chases, until cause its easier not to be seen than to escape.

No?? He's The Alchemist. Michael Myers says The Shape, Pyramid Head says The Executioner.

Hence, anyway if I say The Alchimist ppl will get The Blight and vice-versa. There is no point on pointing out that he is no more The Alchimist, cause he is.

The fact is that The Blight, despite being a DBD original, has a backhistory of itself as The Alchimist, as much as the licenced ones do. So, his "true" (nick)name is The Alchimist, but his killer nickname is The Blight. No problem to use both for the same person, cause they are the same living being, but now a monster.

Its like an "inside licenced" char.

  • Tks u all ppl.

I hadnt thought about that until he says it. When he becomes a monster/killer injecting those things of the Halloween Event in himself, he leaves his old personality behind. Makes sense.

I will hate you forever cause you made me imagine Dwight like that! LoL

Mori after 2nd hook is pointless. There are 2 reasons: it will not stop Killer from tunneling u to Mori; Mori may take more time than get to a hook.

    My idea is:

    • Red Mori: Killer able to kill One dying Survivor (no hook required) when 1 Gen left
    • Green Mori: kill One dying survivor when Exit gates powered.
    • Yellow Mori: kill One dying survivor when in EGC

    Too restricted.

I think they will add a new mechanic to the game to deal with gen speeds, mori and keys.

I mean.. not much you can do vaulting a window directly into a trap.. there's no way to see it from the outside.

    Yeah, i got your point.

  • Ive been told they are working on the rework of Mori. Lets see how that shall be. In the meanwhile, dont get caught first :p

I'm just curious on hearing what the community thinks. I personally think spirit is a low skill and a high reward killer. On the other hand, I think nurse is high skill and high reward. I mainly think this because spirit is basically an m1 killer with an upgraded wraith cloak + hillbilly sprint combine. I also think she doesnt have much counterplay / feedback to the survivor to counter her. Whereas nurse has a completely different playstyle to learn which can take quite a lot of time to master and is not always reliable. She also has counterplay by losing line of sight and other things.

I was looking at old statistics again, and I noticed that back in November spirit, billy, and freddy had the highest kill rates and spirit was the most picked. These stats were shortly after the nurse nerf, so she was quite low on the charts: 65%. I noticed that before the nerf she was at 72% kill rate meanwhile spirit, billy, and freddy were around 75+% kill rate. Before she was nerfed she also had omega blink, extra blinks, and less limited blinks, yet she was still apparently not performing as well as the killers i listed above. Recently they slightly nerfed billy and i feel as though he is a high skill and high reward killer as well. So i'm just curious why a killer like spirit is not getting a nerf or "rework" when apparently she is overperforming. Also, if they are not using statistics to adjust and balance then what are they using.

I'm just curious what you guys think.

    Stats:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/

No killer is as hard to master as Nurse. And that before Cooldown Nurse, wich is a huge load of cold water into the face of the old Nurse players.

  • @Shymare_11 said:

I know that this isn’t a new thing nor is it going to be changed, but I have to say: Why do you make these cool, well-made (mostly) characters if the only special thing about them could easily be used by another survivor who the complete opposite of them. After level 40 or buying their teachables in the shrine (like loser, sorry not sorry), the survivor becomes a optional skin for when you feel like changing up your appearance. I’m not saying that their teachable perks be no longer teachable but give them something else to stand out that won’t only harm them (aka Jane’s and Steve’s nation-wide on your side injury moans). Like maybe Meg who is a RUNNER be slightly +0.2-0.4 m/s. Or maybe Allowing the survivors to have an exclusive higher tier version of their teachable perks. These types of thing could make survivor mains think more about who they will play with perks and add-on that suit the more niche play styles the changes would bring. Am I the only one who feels this way?

About your proposition of specificities for survivors, it may impact a lot the already extremely hard balancing of the game.

  • Female survs are lower and can hide after all windows in the game. Male survs cant.

Some survs have lowder grunts of pain or simple breathing. The volume of the sound wave may be the same, but the pitch is the point here.

Ace is the most quiet survivor of all.

Dont remember the most quiet female.

Jane, Jeff and Bill are loud as hell, even when not hurt.

    Jane is hot, but loud.

I don't see any vommy mommy mains.

In order to become a Plague main:

1 - buy or unlock The Plague

2 - announce here she is your main killer (no need to actually play her).

    Your done. :D

  • Well, PC and Console players have dif styles and advantages as survs. I rather a console player with a nice 360 (consoles advantage) than a PC player with a perfect loop distance from objects (OMG this turns loops way more hard to close).

But thats not the problem. That we adapt. FPS is the problem.

  • @AvisDeene said:

Please make sure you don’t hold your breath for the Devs to optimize the game for console. Side effects are turning blue and blacking out.

    Unhappily. LOL

Lets hope the crossplay to be a extra factor for the devs to bring us at least 60 fps so the community can get together even more, getting them beneficts (and profits) of it.

  • After falling for this for the second time, i asked myself if am I not the stupid one! Kkkkk

But OMG they will fix it soon I hope.

  • @AbsolutelyImpossible said:

pc players can’t communicate with console players so survivor is getting really bad. It’s a team game . So it requires TEAMWORK/comms. don’t put something in the game that’s missing it’s core ingredient that allows it to function properly

Actually, voicecomm is a problem to be delt by the devs, not expected in the original game design. A lot of balancing with killers and solo queue must be done to adress this unavoidable topic.

    Just saying...

  • BBQ for power synergy with teleport by aura reading .

Then Pop Goes the Weasel in the gen you just TPed. So go after the survivors with scratch marks or with the direction you saw their aura take.

With Nurses Calling you get ppl healing by surprise specially after TP.

So Corrupted Intervention to get thosr 3 minutes at start to find survivors, delay gen repair and get your TP power bar fulfilled by the first time (wich is the longest one to fulfill the bar).

Use snares, they can be more offensive. I like the addons that add status effects to survivors that interacts with dream snares/pallets.

No, BHVR is a privately owned company. There are some companies that have a minority ownership in BHVR. See here - https://pitchbook.com/profiles/company/99648-64#team

    Tks very much! :D

  • This trophy? Wait an event, go with Huntress and find a group that wanna farm for 500% extra BP. Down then aways from further than 20 - wich is a long distance, actually, so go very far away.

    Or...

Do as I do. Dont care and one day the trophy will pop. Its not required for Platinum anyway.

And Sony: go suck balls with your ######### trophy changing restricted policy.

  • NOED is a problem if you think you are entitled to survive or to be rescued! Yes, cause ppl who complain, complain about everything. Instead of sacrificing himself at hook to release team for a NOED saving try wich will turn the game into a 4K... and than they go to chat and give salty messages to survivors whom... runned away. LOL

  • Huntress is the most annoying, followed by Frank.

  • Just got as it used to work last year. But I didnt think it was a bug, i thought they buffed it. If lost some usage, its like 10% of it. Still a very strong and effective perk. Most gen are back to repaired before reaching 0.

This causes a confusion, though. Sometimes you can think someone is repairing the gen and you lost the yellow aura. So you get there and find nothing... LOL

Sometimes you will find a gen in progression, sometimes just a standing at zero gen.

Not a big problem. Fair for some counter by the survivors to this perk, that otherwise is a counter-proof localization perk.

I agree, they should at least give you time to use Deliverance or attempt an escape if you're still in the first phase during EGC.

    Yeah... :(

  • Good topic. As PS4 player, i got curious.

But, looking in another way (from PS4 killer looking PC survivors)...

Besides controller is better for survivor, PC survivors have some sudden side movements (go for one side and than to another quick as hell as the controller stick doesnt allow) only a mouse can allow, wich is a new thing to learn to counter, wich is cool.

And the FPS thing... wich isnt cool.

  • The smoothness of PCs are relevant only when the survivor is already good, indeed, but than, it makes things harder against a hard opponent anyways.

But now we hope consoles perfomance to get more love from developers.

I don't played as Killer yet but as Survivor I love it too!

Yeah, as survivor, no queue time is amazing by itself.

I encountered either a serious bug or a cheat one game as Killer. Within 30 seconds of the game starting, a gen was finished but it didn't register as being done on the counter until another one was done a few minutes later. I have to agree that dealing with PC people is obnoxious because of how console performs compared to PC. But it's not like you really know who is or is not on PC by their names. There are console people with PC like names.

Oh, i thought only Steam allowed such long and free-written nicknames. Tks for that. I got a lot of fun nicknames in PS4 Network also, but the ideas are restricted by the nicks rules limits.

Good points! From a PC survivor and killer I can agree with most of them, I feel like there will be a small adjustment period for everyone and the lack of any communication between platforms is a bit disappointing (though understandable), but most of my crossplay matches have been great. :D I love the fact that the whole community is finally able to play together.

    This feeling is veeery cool.

  • If you wanna a strong, fun and easy to play, go for Freddy.

We killer mains deserve sometimes an easy mode, as the survivors have theirs (being survivor). Freddy is like a owning machine with low effort in a good build.

Just had a SWF that stacked the purple lips and one of the green ones so heading in I’m assuming slippery meat build... I down the first pretty quick and stand in front of her she proceeds to immediately try and does escape on the third try I smack her down and she DCs.

Rest of the game went pretty korma but she stuck around to call me trash in endgame. I was right they had Slippery and DS/unbreakable.

Sorry, I don’t face camp but this is clearly the time. I’m not obligated to give you a free unhook, and no I don’t have to respect the 4% it’s no longer 4%

A rare situation where camping can be a smart tatic.

It's on the list, and it will be updated "soon". I can't comment on exactly when, as usual. But the new design is in place and it will go out as soon as it can get through the production pipeline.

I will try they will change the design (sounds, etc), but not the conditions of the perk neither its effects. :p

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I hate Discordance tier 1, it makes too much noise notifications. When in a chase I always think the sound is someone vaulting a window.

Another good point. The 8 seconds notifications are anoising.

  • I do think its better how it is now. The more the yellow notification lasts, the bigger the chance to see it when my attention gets free. Maybe there arent 2 or more survs up there anymore, but at least one stays in the gen, aways, wich keeps the perk useful anyway.

  • @Slashstreetboy said:

    Hi there

Since the MMR update I´ve seen an increasing number of survivor players using OoO. This Perk is the single thing I hate the most in DBD, without a doubt. It gives constant info to the survivor(s) about who/where the killer is and what the killer is doing.

Let´s be honest here, the perk propably is not run by solo survivors very often. So all the information gained by the object user is usually relayed to the rest of the team on top of that (ofc there are exceptions, like swf teams smaller than 4).

This ability is VERY strong by itself, and borderline insane on a full team. Object users force killers like trapper to play M1 Killer without a power...and by now I assume most people know how that turns out unless the Killer TREMENDOUSLY outskills all the survivors in the trial.

Despite being incredibly strong the "downside" is very miniscule. If the survivor is spying on the killer from an unsafe zone the survivor will have ample time to get to a better spot before the killer can reach then. If the survivor is spying on the killer from a safe zone, there´s nothing to fear anyways.

Undetectable does sometimes help in rare scenarios since while it won´t show the killer´s aura , the perk icon will still light up to confirm that the killer is in the direction the survivor is facing.

The only saving grace is that not every single match is against object teams, and multiple objects are even rarer (like 15-20% of my games have multiple OoO).

I wonder if there are any plans to balance this perk to a more reasonable level. As of right now it´s incredibly frustrating to deal with it since I play neither Nurse nor Spirit, the two Killers I feel can deal appropriately with Objects. And I also don´t wanna bring equalizers in the form of Ebony Moris every game ( I use them very rarely) when there´s nothing to indicate someone uses Object.

I´ve seen many suggestions on how it should be changed. Here are my suggestions. Either:

    a) Make it truly a double edged sword. Keep it as it is, but the survivors aura will now be shown to the Killer when looking in their general direction as well or

    b) After actively using OoO for (x) seconds, the user becomes exposed until downed. After using the perk for (y) seconds the user can now be Moried.

Can someone from the Dev team please give some insight on whether there are plans to balance OoO or whether we will just have to suck it up while playing killer?

Your topic made me think of a OoOs rework or nerf.

I just hate getting OoO cause if the unfair SWF info exchange. But the counter to it is somehow complex but doable: doesnt go for him if he is a good survivor, but if by accident you get near to him, go for him. You cannot approach directly, but get while getting around the map in a chase or whatever.

By the rest, apply commom tatic. If the OoO user is unhooked near you, go for the tunnel and hit after 15 seconds (BT). Let him on floor for DS or get him to chase again wich can be faster than 60 seconds. Doesnt lose time with the OoO, and when get the chance, play harsh (or toxic as ppl use to call) and wipe his ass out of the match. He has no pity about your fun in the match, probably, if in a SWF.

But the info exchange in SWF is uncounterable. The gen are never so fast as when they get a permanent killers aura reader...

This perk is broken. Maybe has aways been. I only use it when I have a challenge or daily wich I have to call the killers attention for chasing or whatever. Never in a toxic way (as tbagging from far away) to call the killer over me.

  • Very cool!

Remember the salty messages from one survivor to the other that didnt save him in a future chapter. :p

And a non-sense joke with a bug if compatible with the writing line. Kkk

  • @SirCracken said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1524741#Comment_1524741

Please be joking. I can't tell if you are due to how text doesn't convey emotion.

Well, if they didnt change Gear Head, just play with it a lot of matches with a base attack killer and you will see how it is way more useful than BBQ and Thrilling Tremors. I only use BBQ cause of BP. If not, i would use Gear Head.

Really your point to my point shows that you dont know the dynamic of Gear Head. That makes you topic a little less important, given the OP doesnt know well the given perks.

Remembering, Gear Head is skill check based perk wich skill check is done by survivor, but beneficts the killer. Hence, its different from all other skill check perks, wich affects the survivor directly if he hits or mistakes it.

But, really, Gear Head is atm one of the strongest localization perks. No counter by the survivors, but still balanced.

  • @SirCracken said:

Their design is outdated and unreliable. Here's a list of them so far:

    • This Is Not Happening
    • Technician
    • Autodidact
    • Stake Out
    • Gear Head
    • Hex: Huntress Lullaby
    • Unnerving Presence
    • Overcharge

All of these perks either partly, or entirely reliant on the generation and the success/failure of skillchecks. This makes them wildly inconsistent on how effective they are.

The killer perks here are often completely useless since survivors often know how to hit skillchecks easily.

And the survivor perks are either rely on good skill check generation or are negated by learning how to hit skillchecks consistently.

All of these perks need to be changed to become more reliable and not as weak so they actually have a chance at getting picked over every other available perk in the game.

Gear Head is amazing! Its 100% uncounterable by the survivors nor perceptible. If its a base attack reliant killer, you get a lot of locations.

  • @Deadman316 said:

The Ace challenges (I don't use Ace at all) and the flashlight challenge (don't use those either) are very difficult for me. Any killers want to help me with the flashlight one? Lol I'm kidding, but I don't know how I'm going to get past one of them.

I learned to use flahlights because of the challenges, and that was amazing! Just keep on trying and than you will get the thing and laugh a lot. :)
