When I get teammates like these people.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYhfUT2o358
I can't even enjoy the game with my friends anymore because our random is always throwing the match or brand new to the game. Every Killer we get plays extremely hard with maximum slowdown. We literally can't win a 3v1.
It's such ######### and I'm so tired of having 10 bad games and one decent game.
I feel your pain in every shape and form whenever I do play DBD. I typically duo with a friend who still plays the game and on occasion, I would 3 man swf with another buddy of ours. Every game is either a stomp or a competitive game where our teammate/s have barely any hours and throw the game. Then it's back to 10-15 mins in the lobby. MMR has literally killed the game for me.
I've since moved on from DBD for the most part (I've skipped the last 2 archives and have my bp capped at 1.7 mil) along with the majority of the friends I've made there. Hopefully, the game will be in a palatable state one day so that we can still enjoy it occasionally for nostalgia's sake.
-
There is absolutely no mmr decay. I haven't played the game in 6 months and I got the sweatiest survivors/killers I have ever gone against. Needless to say, the game is still in a sorry state and I would only play again if my friends want me to play with them (They're sick of the current state of the game as well).
-
Corrupt + lethal pursuer. Survivors get kindred basekit as well but w/o the killer aura.
-
And it will never reach it.
-
Because people actually want to have fun while playing video games.
-
Hell, I'd be fine with 30 seconds for each survivor hooked.
-
Though the emblem system is not perfect, it actually rewarded players for doing things and those players will be more likely to pip and que with each other. Unironically, it's better than this dumb mmr system that we have now. Never have I qued up with 50 hour survivors until after mmr and it still continues to happen.
My friends and I are pretty done stomping baby killers as well. I used to get really good survivors in maybe 15-20% of my games. Now it's a miracle if I get 1 a week or even a month.
-
I'd rather have other aspects of her kit buffed than having people have to repeatedly deal with her broken mechanic.
-
Easy fix to this problem. Make it so that the key is never in the first and last box. Therefore, if there are 4 boxes, the key would appear in the second/third box that is searched.
-
Probably not in a chase, can happen if you're a 110 killer on certain loops as well.
-
This is where I am with this game as well. I did just enough challenges to get the rift done and I didn't enjoy playing the game for the most part.
-
No you're right. MMR has been an absolute shitshow. It is the worst thing to ever happen to matchmaking for solo que survivors. The quality of games have been at its absolute worst. I'm constantly getting paired with survivors with barely any hours who d/c and force our team to 3v1 a killer. Killers are either absolute babies or sweats. There's no in between. The emblem system is unironically better than w/e system they decided to implement.
-
Themselves
-
Because it is survivor sided as is every new map that has come out in the past year and a half.

I don't know how Trappers or Pigs are supposed to cope.
If they're going to make these large thematic maps, they need to give killers more mobility. For example, Let the artist teleport to disturbed crows and doctor teleport to his clones. Trapper can teleport to his traps and pig can teleport to her boxes. Maybe Ghostface can move between lockers? Give the teleport like a 45-90 sec cd. It might not make sense lorewise but it does make sense mechanically.

even though the video is a joke(which was actually pretty good) I disagree with some of these changes. First off Topknot was nerfed already I don’t think he knew that. Making Slinger 115 would not fix his issues he needs more than just more speed, people said the same about Hag and yet she became the best. He mistaked Flip Flop for Buckle up, Flip flop makes recovery progress wiggle progress not range he made a mistake there(I don’t know if that was part of the joke)? Some things I don’t agree with
I'd rather ship this patch than not have anything remotely close to it.
-
I mean... if you take a look at Haddonfield...
-
If you're just starting out with Huntress, I'd recommend Corrupt, Bitter Murmer, BBQ, Iron Maiden/Ruin. It's what I used when I first played with her and I did quite well.
-
You play him for style points. I personally think he's the worst killer in the game.
-
Is this a console thing? I haven't heard of anyone getting ddosed on pc in DBD. I've also had my fair share of salty survivors.
-
It's annoying but not toxic. Play how you want. That build might be a bit too oppressive against solo quers but it is what it is.
-
It's Sluzzy's evil twin.

Serious question, who is Nemesis better than. The only ones that come to mind for me are Trapper, Legion, Pig, and Trickster.
The zombies are just wayyy too inconsistent for anti looping purposes. What zombies really do is provide some info. It's like pig traps, they sometimes kill but they are more for game delay. Zombies sometimes shut down loops (2 times in 53 games for me so far) but more often they are free info and thats it. If Nemesis isn't around they are a mild annoyance at best.
So that really just leaves you with his tentacle strike which you need to power up, has limited range until you hit tier 3 (only an extra meter :) ) and you need to a healthy survivor 3 times through 2 speed boosts to down them. They can also get rid of the T-virus just incase you thought you could spend your early game infecting everyone and then having a stronger attack than a m1 as your reward. I don't think it's a stronger m1 because majority of the time my chase is way faster if i m1 someone 2 times than if i tentacle strike them 3 times.
That being said the upsides are he can hit over pallet, can break them easily as well as walls (once he gets to tier two which is like 3 hits without add ons).
The problem is survivors literally need to hold w. If you run in a straight line, don't loop, just straight. You buy an unbelievable amount of time vs him while using zero resources. He only starts to shut down loops once he has already infected you. He can't break the pallet until tier 2, and if you aren't infected he has nothing he can do to you besides be a m1 killer at 115. He also kinda plays like huntress at loops where it becomes a mind game of readying your power if you think they will drop or just keep going if you think they won't.
I don't think he is better than Clown or Myres and i'll explain.
Clown can't hit over pallets like Nemesis can sure, but he is way better at shutting down loops. He doesn't give double speed boosts to survivors when he hits them. And has some potential to have map pressure with yellow bottles. If clown catches you in the open he is going to down you way faster than Nemesis. Clown doesn't need set up to make his anti loop really strong, and it is wayyy easier to hit a bottle than a tentacle. Nemesis has the zombie info over him and the potential for a stronger anti loop if he lucks into a zombie being in the right place at the right time. But that's it.
Meyer's on the other hand has a wayyy bigger payoff for tiering up. Exposed on everyone for a minutes, faster vaults, and a longer lunge is wayyy more of a benefit to hitting tier 3 than 1 extra meter. Now yes, tier 3 runs out which Nemesis doesn't and there are only a set amount of tier 3's you can proc in a match. i don't think those cons outweigh the pros. Myers can instantly snowball and win a game. Nemesis can't do that. Nemesis needs to hit people and let them speed boost away to rank up. Myres just needs to stalk, you don't speed boost the survivors away while looking at them and if you get creative you get a lot of stalk before people even notice you because you are undetectable at tier 1. Nemesis has his loud distinct terror radius, and even if you don't hear that the zombies are a dead give away. Sure Nemesis can play around loops better, but Myere's isn't a slouch with longer lunges and faster vaults.
I originally thought Nemesis was going to be mid b, right around where Doc and LF are. After playing him a little bit i felt C, around Ghost Face, was more appropriate. Now after putting in a lot of games i think he is a bottom 5 killer in the game.
If i am missing something about his power or some trick i don't know please tell me or if you think he is way stronger than he is let me know because i don't see how anyone can rate him as even mediocre let alone low A tier. I think he beats out Pig, Legion, Trapper, and Trickster making him 5th worse. Maybe there is some incredible tech that will be discovered that will make him a lot stronger, but as of now i'm not seeing it.
Otz posted a good example on his community tab on youtube about the lenght of time it takes to down someone when you go for a double m1 as opposed to a triple m2.
I mean... Otz also has a 25 win streak on Nemesis on the second day of playing him, something he struggled to do with many other killers. What does he have for him? A power that forces you into binary decisions (damned if you do, damned if don't), if play properly. On certain loops, survivors just go down to his power. If a survivor drops a pallet, the tentacle will prioritize the survivor which is great unlike Blight's power.
He has a lingering hitbox on his power that many do not know of nor do they take advantage of. His zombies occasionally pushes survivors off of objectives, facecamps survivors, or wombo combo's survivors on loops. They also sometimes give info on where survivors are.
I've played my fair share of Nemesis as well and I certainly think he's better than Trickster, Legion, Myers, Clown, and Pig. I'd put him in lower B tier with Demo. I feel like he's underrated like Demo and requires to some time to be decent at before you can appreciate him. Any killer that can shut down loops and break pallets with his power is already out of C tier.
Like many others, I feel like his first infection should not give survivors a speed boost. This would greatly help his early game.

That's weird, I also play on Ultra and she does look like in the screenshot provided earlier.
Better gaming chair? Here's another but closer up.

Is this the 3rd zombie?
It's not too bad. This is on ultra. I believe that screenshot was taken in low.
-
This looks like some amateur sfm work. I know people who could have done a better job.
-
I was getting quite a lot frame drops when I was still running a 1070ti with a 5900x on high/ultra settings. On low/medium settings, I had a consistent 120 fps. After switching to a 3090, I've had 0 frame drops but a 3090 is overkill for a game like DBD and shouldn't be required to get no frame drops. I'm interested in hearing if anyone on the new gen consoles experience any frame drops.
-
They need to fix her nose and she'll look great. Her nose looks super unrealistic.

Wait in that case can I abuse the system to get piss easy killer adepts?

Which is how I got my adept Trickster.... ngl
-
Depends on what killer you play. The middle kind of acts as a chokepoint that other survivors have to go through to get the save if you hook the survivor on one side. It's honestly one of my favorite killer maps.
-
I... don't know about this one. I feel like they could have done a much better job. Please don't just "settle" for this one BHVR.

You ever try Rancor Roulette?
Rancor, Furtive Chase, Nemesis.
Works especially well on someone like Ghostie, who can insta-down.
I haven't. I'll give it a go sometimes.

Nemesis + Furtive Chase + Dead Man's Switch is pretty fun.

There's a Claudette here.
how am i supposed to see her
Squint harder 😂
-
Here's a recent one. I don't see how anyone can brag about black pipping lol.
-
Badham Preschool, Groaning Storehouse, Ironworks of Misery, Dead Dawg Saloon, and Red Forest maps to name a few more.
-
I think the title of most hated killer is reserved for Spirit, Hag, and The Twins. It will always be those 3.
-
That survivor is on some good stuff.
-
Balanced Landing
-
Unless you know where the last survivor is, slugging for the 4k isn't worth the time and effort.
-
I can definitely see it as an iri addon but I wouldn't nerf it. If you take a look at other killers like Plague and Oni, both of their survivor aura reading addons are iridescent as well.
-
The only thing you lost was your time and your cool, not the game.
-
The Game. There are several drop off points you can use to surprise survivors and it's easier to get a 3 gen as well.

I am a Rank 6 - 8 killer here in Japan but mainly in the evenings I get destroyed by local Japanese players they all seem to be rank 1 or 2 and I find matches instantly - lack of killers ???
Anyway I used a good VPN with a good ping and tried the US servers and I destroyed survivors so badly I felt sorry for them, there was a mix of Red and medium ranks.
Anybody else compared the Asian servers? It’s pretty big in Japan.
Another thing, the Japanese players NEVER give up or DC. If I catch the last survivor trying to open the gate and down them, even without DS they will struggle to the end, even though the game is over. On the US servers people simply stop struggling (which makes sense lol).
There are T-bagging Japanese survivors of course but they often apologize in the end game chat. Salty end game chat usually comes from the Americans who are stationed here in Japan or South Korea lol.
VPNing to another country will always give you a significant advantage. It's not necessarily you being better than US survivors but you getting hits that you aren't supposed to get due to desync. I respectfully ask you to stop doing this along with any other VPNers.

I'm okay with survivors doing totems and wasting time on my imaginary NOED.

The map is actually very well designed, even Survivor friendly but there is a big caveat; you have to know how to use it. Hawkins is the opposite of Gideon. Both are indoor maps, but one is Pallet heavy while the other is vault heavy. Hawkins is chock full of very effective vaults and most of them connect to some rather potent loops. It is possible to go form one end to the other of Hawkins preventing the Killer from ever closing the distance. Moreover, it is possible to more or less stalemate the Killer on the little catwalks with the vaults if you have good timing.
I'm going to act against my best interests and point you in the right direction. The key to Hawkins is to think in three dimensions. Most Survivors hate the map but that is because they tend to stay on the ground floor. Those up and down catwalks in the various rooms are seen as a last resort or ignored entirely. Let me tell you, when I face a Red Rank Squad that understand those catwalks, I'm cursing in my clodhoppers as I try to figure out how to get them down without having to spend 1-2 minutes in a chase.
If you look, I'm sure there are probably youtube videos about Hawkins and how to run it. It is a small map, and that often favors the Killer, but there are lots of ways to turn that place to the Survivor's advantage. You just have to adapt to running it in a certain way.
This. Hawkins isn't as bad many survivors make it out to be. It's in fact terrible for a lot killers. I never knew Huntress can be ran so hard on that map until I ran across some really good survivors that knew how to abuse the living crap out of some tile layouts. The only thing that can make it killer sided is that it's difficult to know whether you're 3 genning or not, but this can be attributed to all indoor maps.

They should be included in the game, otherwise it isn't fair to people without nvidia.
Unfortunately, this is the pc/console disparity. Nvidia filters and reshade will always be exclusive to pc. If they want to make it fair, they can disable it like in CSGO. Seeing as how DBD isn't a comp game, I don't think they will. Graphics settings like low, med, high, and ultra should be included on all platforms though.
-
I'm pretty sure the 45 minutes you're experiencing is the time it takes to unpack data and all that. This time can be shortened by having a faster processor. I believe that a faster storage drive will just load your games faster. Correct me if I'm wrong tech-savvy people.
-
This literally just happened to me yesterday. Had a console twitch streamer report me for exploits after I 4ked his team as huntress. Funny thing was that I was going to go on his stream and give him a gg. Needless to say, I did not do that lol.

Wait really? That actually means a lot coming from you. Thank you so much:)
Your game sense is better than mine as well. Great nurse gameplay overall. I agree with most of your points. I have a multitude of friends who are all red rank killers. However, there is still a large skill gap between us and it shows in KYF.
-
I feel slight disgust. Then move on to the next game. This typically happens with solo survivor more often than killer.
