But to those toxic survivors it's not just a game and I want to win for the same reason they do
Everyone wants to win but your mood shouldn't change because you lost. Accept that you probably could've played better and move on. I play very casually with brown/yellow addons and no ruin/undying/noed and I still 4k most of my games. There are definitely some survivors that I want to rematch with a little more help with stronger addons/perks and I definitely will run them when I come across them again.
-
Realize it's just a game and you win some and you lose some. For the most part, you'll win because most survivors are just casuals and not sweaty tryhards.
-
Legion: Ruin, Undying, Dying Light, Thana
Huntress: Corrupt, BBQ, Pop, Whispers/Iron Maiden
Spirit: Stridor, Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer
Twins: Monstrous Shrine, Insidious, Beast of Prey, Overwhelming Presence

You have it backwards. The average SWF survivor is bad because they're carried to a rank they wouldn't typically achieve.
This. Most SWF's I play against aren't sweaty tryhards but are carried by coms and are terrible in chase. These games are much more casual than 4 solo's who are actually really good at the game.
-
All killers have powers... and perks... all of which were not used... That's also one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game.
-
Corn is the only map that makes me look down at scratch marks to track survivors. If I'm close enough, I can track by sound.
-
I've been recording my games as well... and most players just say gg or nothing at all lol.... Very rarely do I get the salty or toxic messages.
-
Loop him normally and don't be greedy with pallet loops that are straight.

No lag on my end. PC west coast USA here.

That's not toxic. That's just bad manners. If they start calling you ethnic and homophobic slurs or to #########, then I'd agree that they're toxic. They did in fact bully you though but that's more because of matchmaking than anything.

Hope she's bad.

Sure is. She had Iron Will and was crouching there. She shifted and I swung blindly because I heard grass move.
Whenever I see PC DBD videos, the brightness is always cranked up.
This Claudette was literally invisible.
If you play on low settings, they're much easier to spot. Hopefully, you guys get graphics settings soon. I play on Ultra just to enjoy seeing the game in HQ with Nvidia filters and Claudette's look like black figures. I wouldn't mind if they slightly brighten this map up.

Make it so that survivors can not take off the hat on the first try but they will never be forced to take off their hat on the last try. This makes things more fair for both sides.
-
He plays exactly the same and is still strong. If you know how to put snares down at the right spots, he's still oppressive in chases. His addon pass was just uninspired and deserves a second look. Also, the 30 second immunity doesn't really make any sense anymore with the BT buff. Personally, he's still boring to play as and against.

Jokes on me, I'm still rank 1. :')

I have no problem that Huntress kept her exhaustion addon (duration changed, but that was extremely necessary, the old version was very outdated.) I'm mostly confused at why Clown lost his. I would argue that a 5-second exhaustion versus Clown is generally less impactful than 5 seconds of exhaustion versus Huntress. DH can always waste a hatchet, even though Huntress doesn't care that much about distance when it comes to Lithe or BL (Lithe is dangerous to use against her anyway.) Clown is nasty in a 1v1; his entire power revolves around slowing you down and destroying any distance advantage, and DHing to anything but an undropped pallet isn't nearly as effective when you're locked into a medium vault, so any exhaustion perk you had generally wasn't going to get you anywhere unless he used his last bottle inflicting you with it.
...Which was the reason I liked that addon on Clown - it was great to extend his pressure when you ran out of bottles in a chase and didn't have time to reload. But because Huntress gives such clear cues when she's about to throw, it's very easy to use the most common exhaustion perk against her, and DHing through a hatchet is much more effective than DHing a regular attack because the Huntress has to wait for the survivor to be in position again, unlike any basic attack where the killer can just immediately M1 again because the survivor is still right in their face. And when they're both out of their power and can't reload, Clown's a 115 to her 110.
I'm not complaining about any of this, I just don't quite follow the internal consistency. Besides Wooden Fox (undetectable is worthless when her lullaby is still distance-based), I'm pretty happy with the state of Huntress's addons now, and vastly prefer her addon pass to the mangled wreck Billy's turned into.
It would've been cool if Wooden Fox removed Huntress' grunt when raising a hatchet instead of its current effect.
-
I played 7 huntress games today. 6 were indoor maps... ######### hell. Also, for a whole week, my first game was either Fractured Cowshed or Haddonfield. I also had a day where I got Haddonfield 3x in a row.
-
Cracked console huntress. You love to see it.

Because tits

I agree. If you're not going to give resources such as pallets to work with, at least put a T L wall there or god forbid... a Z wall for survivors to work with.

When you completely ignore EVERY other game mechanic such as healing, hook saving, AND totems to get gens done. Another form of gen rushing is bringing a Brand New Part with prove thyself because it does significantly reduce the time a gen gets done.

I never said breakdown wasn't an issue.
I'm just saying that you shouldn't be toxic to Survivors, much like Survivors shouldn't be toxic to Killers.
But like I guess telling someone that they shouldn't be toxic is embarrassing?
That's not being toxic. The man could've said worse things. That's just venting frustration and rightfully so.

Killer isn't fun. It gets worse and worse the higher you rank up. Playing a weak Killer against top tier Survivors is literally a machoistic bully simulator.
So why do most people play it? Bloodpoints. When you're good at Killer you can realistically get 28-32k points every game plus all four BBQ Stacks without doing literally anything or having to play around the perk at all for +100%.
56k to 64k. Not counting offerings is pretty standard for a good Killer.
Survivors that are decent can maybe get an average of 20k bloodpoints per match, with a lot more variance because its heavily based on their team and the killer so its less in their control. WGLF is an average to mediocre perk that's more niche and less game changing than Unbreakable. Also, unless you're soft throwing for stacks, its relatively unlikely you'll get all four WGLF stacks every match through normal gameplay. Two or Three is way more likely for +50-75%.
33k (ish). Not counting offerings is pretty standard for a good Survivor.
People still play Survivor despite this bloodpoint difference, but would people still play Killer if they got drastically less bloodpoints? I highly doubt it.
How often do you go against top tier survivors? Most of the survivors I get when playing killer are casuals. Therefore, my killer experience has been quite enjoyable. Just yesterday, I've played about 17 killer games and I 4ked every match except for the one I got keyed out. Also, the faster que times allow you to actually play the game.

Billy isn't weak enough to be c-tier, just feels janky and unpleasant to play whereas oni, bubba and blight don't, so there's not much reason to play him unless you have a daily or an archive challenge
Blight is plenty jank with the collision hitboxes. It's just that his fun factor is more than his jank factor which him makes him bearable.

Why are you moving the goalpost?
You were stating that survivor "demand" counterplay, and I stated that killers do the same, nothing was said about if the game was killer or survivor sided, at least follow the conversation if you're going to reply, thanks.
This sums up almost every reply I get on this forum.

This should have been basekit. Then they can give her an actually decent iri addon.

Demoboi. Pallet shredding and zoning capabilities as well as mapwide teleport. Yes.

I swung through a pallet today as wraith. The pallet was dropped and I got the down but there was no stun to be seen.

Please try to not be a complete moron. The reason I don't mention it is because the devs have 0 control over people's ability to use voice comm's. They do however have control over how many perks a killer is balanced around and adding a 5th perk which is situationally unlocked is A) impossible to balance properly for and B) Stupid.
We can try to have a civil conversation without reverting to name calling. My suggestions stem from my experiences. Against nurses, spirits, and Freddy's, I've had zero issues 4-man escaping these killers, not to mention any other killer. I too enjoy playing with friends but 3-4 man stacking makes games incredibly easy when playing survivor.
An asymmetrical game with a ton of killers is already impossible to balance properly. Instead of calling someone a moron for their ideas, how about you contribute with your suggestions on how we should level the playing field for killers?

One extra perk would absolutely be broken on certain killers. They are fundamentally balanced around 4 perks and giving killers like Freddy, Nurse, Spirit etc. access to another perk on top of their powers would be broken. Not to mention the random has no access to the same level of information or coordination that the SWF does. The fact this even needs explaining is embarrassing.
Just because the rando doesn't have the same level of information, it doesn't mean that their team isn't at an advantage. The game is fundamentally balanced around no coms. The fact that you forgot to mention this is embarrassing.
-
@ClarityOfWill said:
So basically punish people for playing with their friends and then punish the random for being queued with those people....
I cannot see any way in which this wont have an negative impact on the games health and/or longevity. /s
How are people being punished? They can still play the game normally and use all of their perks/cosmetics/advantage of coms. The killer only gets one extra perk, not something completely ridiculous.
@landromat said:
do not buff the killer. That will hurt solos. Nerf swf member stats
The killer is only getting a slight buff against certain SWF's. Solo will be largely untouched.

@[Deleted User] said:
That would be absolutely ridiculous and is way outside the realistic realm of a solution; nor does it even properly address the actual issues like many other solutions in the past have targeted.
Would you like to elaborate? This is incredibly easy to implement and yes it's more of a bandage solution. However, it is an idea until they can implement until something better comes along which requires more time and resources.
-
I'm looking forward to it but it probably won't come until next year. I would also prefer if they rework character face models first.
-
Iri Satchel - 2 hatchets will be replenished into your inventory if you down a survivor with a hatchet. This does not increase the maximum amount of hatchets you carry.
-
When you lose as killer, you lose by yourself. When you lose as survivor, you have 3 others to share the pain? LOL!!
-
Correction. "I'm tired of BHVR screwing things up."
-
How I ranked up and got better as killer is I just sucked it up and took the L until I learned what worked and what didn't work. If I lose, I lose. It doesn't really tilt me because I'm still in the learning process and it's just meant to be that way.

If you had time to fully heal yourself you aren't being tunneled. It's purpose is to prevent tunneling.
Yes and it should deactivate upon fully healing not partially healing is what I think should happen either through healing yourself or others healing you.
-
@Blueberry said:
It is "your own" action to allow a teammate to fully heal you. It's also still progressing the game as it is resetting pressure and as they have solidified it as an anti-tunnel perk you are in fact not being tunneled if you have time to fully heal.
Don't get me wrong, I like the change and it's current status. I just still think that situation should be added.
I fully agree with this but I feel like a survivor's DS shouldn't fully deactivate if they're healing themselves. I know many may feel differently and respect everyone's opinion on this. If DS stays perfectly the way it is, I'd honestly be fine with that too since I don't think I've been hit with DS once since the change.

This isn't a middle ground. You're asking to be able to do something useful to your team while being invincible with DS.
Your team? I'm not a survivor main lmfao. Stop speaking and assuming that I am. It's making you look silly :). Just because you want a healthier game for both sides, it doesn't mean you can't play devil's advocate and sympathize for the other side.

The point is - other people healing you isn't your own action. It's theirs. It's an out for you. I know you're trying to be witty, but it's really not working out. The entire perk is designed around PERSONAL contribution. The description is a dead giveaway.
Your logic is flawed. Please stop. You're making yourself look silly. Like when a dog chases their tail.
It's not about being witty. Everything I said has been to the point. It's obvious that I know it's designed through personal contribution through my posts. The conversation is if it's better to make it strictly anti-tunnel which would be a healthier design.
If you were down a survivor who got fully healed and still had DS, you would still be hit by the perk and it wouldn't be "fair", just as how survivors might feel it's unfair to have DS deactivated while healing themselves. I'm trying to find a better middle ground for both sides. Unfortunately, you can't see this and just write people off as being silly.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:

Others healing you is not an action being performed by yourself. It's someone elses action. If they had DS up and tried healing you (aka contributing to their team), they would lose it. Try harder.
If other people have the time to fully heal you, you aren't being tunneled. Therefore, DS should be deactivated if it's a strictly anti-tunnel perk. You're juggling between the perk deactivating through personal contribution or being an antitunneling perk. I don't have to try harder than I want to lol. I don't know how people get off by telling people this rather than just having a civil conversation.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
Yes. If you have time to heal yourself, you weren't being tunneled. Especially with self care.
I believe you keep DS if you run inner strength. Consider running that.
Well, if you have time to get others to heal you, then you weren't being tunneled but that doesn't deactivate DS. You can technically still get tunneled while partially healing yourself. Because of this, wouldn't it be better to have DS deactivate when a survivor is fully healed?
-
Yes, it will seem good in the beginning because killers will get less experienced survivors but in the endgame, they will be met with the sweatiest and most unfun teams. This will also increase que times to a ridiculous degree as in the case with Dowsey.
-
Gotta spank them while they're young
-
I'd agree with killers getting a fifth perk slot but not survivors.
