Are there any groups that host small scale tournaments for fun?
I'd even be interested in ones where you kick in $5 and the winners get auric cells as prizes.
I'd probably never win, lol, but it still sounds fun.
Though I could see how it might also be against ToS in some way... 🤔
What platform are you on?
Although have you played against Tournament survivors, as it's anything but fun even when you win (you just get constant clicky's throughout the whole game)?

You dont get it. When you survive, you don't get bonus points for every survivor who makes it out. Granted you do lose points in game for a survivor getting hooked but only the first 2 times they are hooked and as soon as they are unhooked, every survivor gets their points back. Point is, every survivor, no matter if they are playing with friends or alone, is a solo player. Look at how the games are scored and you will learn how wrong you are. You do not get points as a team. You are scored solo.

I never said you said the hatch should disappear, did I? And how do you know they did nothing? Did they stand there all game? Did the crows fly around their heads or lockers? No? Oh. I guess they did something now didnt they? They either tried to save their teammates or attempted gens. Either way they did something so your argument is invalid. If you try and fail 1 way, there is always a backup and unfortunately the backup here, you guys complain about.
Guys I've heard every point there possibly is on this subject. And there is a very good reason why the hatch is still here and working as is. Because it's not the hatch. Keys maybe. I mean its ridiculous how 2 different keys can open it and both are fairly common. But still. All that needs done is to raise the rarity of the keys. And in turn allow only 1 kind of mori and make that extra rare. Just stop blaming the hatch for your incompetence as a killer. Take this from someone who loves killer way more then survivor. I side with the hatch because I'm smart enough to find it first. So I'm sure you guys can too cause believe me when I say I'm not as bright as I seem.
I've played game for two years with around 2k hours in the game (on both sides), I know how blood points are rewarded. I've got to the point where I don't care about blood points or emblems. For example if I get a 3k or more as killer I class that as a win, regardless of my emblem score.
As I mentioned in my main post, if I get a team of potatoes and I had to carry the game, I'll feel like I earned the hatch. However, whilst I escaped I didn't escape because I beat the killer, I escaped due to RNG and the killer not bothering to slug for the 4k.
If the killer really cared about securing that 4k the killer would slug for the 4k.
Anyway this post is about people being toxic due to escaping through hatch, which in my opinion there's nothing to gloat about getting the hatch. Gloating about getting the hatch, will mostly likely encourage that killer to slug for the 4k to prevent the last survivor from being able to gloat about their "hatch escape win".
EDIT: I'm a competitive person, my goal whether playing survivor or killer is to prevent the other side from winning. If I escape through the hatch I don't class that as winning as the killer got a 3k, therefore winning the match overall.

The survivor "team" technically doesnt win. But the individual does. You have to realize that we are all solo players who are forced to work as a team unless you are with friends. But! The objective is to survive for you. If you live you win. Simple as that. There is no team points. There is no team boost. Just point for you and you alone based on what you do in the match. 1 person escapes mean killer lost against that player. You won against 3, just not all.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1522185#Comment_1522185
And no I wont take a chill pill. I'm sick of you killers saying how horrible the hatch is. Stop complaining. You are not entitled to the kills anymore then they are the escape. But the hatch HELPS a lot against campy killers. If you didnt get there first to close the hatch, boohoo. They beat you to it. Suck it up and move on. If they gloat, let them. Just play the damn game and stop complaining about how people survive
Even if you're playing solo you're playing in a team.
If the last survivor gets the hatch it doesn't mean the killer lost to that survivor, as the killer won that match by getting a 3k. The survivor getting the hatch just means that the killer couldn't be bothered to slug for the 4k.
Getting the hatch is the equivalent to a killer getting a 1k.
When I play survivor I'd rather get sacrificed after I ran the killer for a long time, giving my team mates plenty of time to repair the generators so that they can escape. In my view that's a win, as the killer was only able to get a 1k. However, if I got the hatch, I wouldn't class it as a win as the killer won the match.

So survivor survives like their objective specifies..... yet they haven't won? *key in sarcasm* That totally makes sense.
That one survivor technically completed their objective, but as a whole (the survivor team) did not.
4k: Killer Wins
3k: Killer Wins
2k: Draw:
1k: Survivor Team wins
All four escape: Survivor Team wins

Probably for the same reason killers drop survivors in front of the hatch then shut it in their faces?
People sometimes feel the need to gloat for winning, its nothing new in gaming and its definitely not one sided.
Getting the hatch isn't really winning, the killer still won the match.

can't you just pick up someone with ds and then they're no longer invincible because they lose it? Is it one time use? You'd eat a stun but not allow the 60 seconds grace period?
That at higher levels could actually cost the killer the game.

I don't think "small pp" build can apply to me when I'm a woman.
Also, I do none of those things you mentioned, so uh ?
I guess you're one of those that are too immersive to ever have to use DS.
I have an aggressive play-style, and I rarely use DS unless I'm doing a certain build. I prefer to have perks that help me in the chase, and help me prevent from getting downed.

Still doesn't receive the same flack as NOED. NOED is viewed as "only bad killers use NOED", which is somewhat true because a lot of bad killers often will have NOED.
However, people don't say "only bad survivors use the DS and unbreakable combo".

Regardless of how the MMR system is supposed to work, this can't happen. I just had survivors complaining that they're facing a rank 1 killer and they're still trying to figure out how to run. It's disingenuous to pretend rank/experience doesn't matter at a certain point. I can take out a lobby of 200 hour survivors without blinking as Nurse. If you've been pre-calibrating, it didn't work. And if it is working, this certainly ain't it.
I'm normally a rank 1 killer with around 2k hours too. However, I haven't played DBD for the past two months and since since the MMR implementation I've been getting the survivors I usually play against at rank 1 (the ones that have thousands of hours in the game).

What you have to have in mind is that it's incredibly easy to rank up as survivor, I've seen survivors with a player level less than 30 at red ranks.
On the flip side I've been a rank 1 killer since 2018, however I recently took a break from DBD and I'm currently at green ranks. Due to the upcoming rift (before MMR) I was planning on staying at these ranks as I can't play as Wraith (i've never played him).

Killer main, specifically nurse with 1k hours. I played a few matches as wraith and billy and got a bunch of rank 15-20s each time, all with <20 hours played. I thought, ok surely its because i don't play those killers often, so i hopped on my nurse main, i play a few games of nurse every day. I purple ranks this time, but everyone had less than 50 hours and got completely stomped. my games are far far far more chill than before, but in a negative way. If i tryhard they usually get maybe 1 gen done.
######### is going on?
Wait... you're a killer main with 1k hours and you still have sympathy for survivors?
I've lost mine after countless toxic SWF's and receiving toxic messages, despite going out my play to play as fair as possible.
Often it's the potatoes who are more likely to send toxic messages post game anyway.
EDIT: I remember when I first played against my first good killer (I also remember the first good survivor I went against too). It was Hillbilly on Coldwind farm back in 2018, I got wrecked but I had fun. Going against that killer made me realize I still had a lot of areas to improve on. The potato survivors you play against, may have a similar revelation as I did.

My objective is to survive, and not break my back carrying worthless teammates. Im not going to farm you and Im not going to sandbag you intentionally. But Im not going to just give you points.
If I find a totem first, Im cleansing it. If I beat you to a chest, Ill search it and take the item. If I get to your item forcibly dropped by Franklins before you, I will take it with a smile. I will happily steal a safe unhook from you. I will open the gates, start the EGC, and promptly leave like Im supposed to. If there is a situation where I can pass off a killers aggro to you, I will.
Im sorry, but this new MM has made solo so unbearable, that I only care about my own survival now. All my teammates are just temporary 30 second distractions for the killer so I can get breathing room to finish gens.
So I dont care about the salt in the EGC. I survived. You didnt. Get over it.
As someone who mainly plays solo and killer, I've got to the point where I'm no longer sympathetic for my fellow survivor players. I sometimes wonder if some randoms are worth helping or they're more helpful to the team when they're being carried to the hook by the killer.
Although I'll still an altruistic player, because whilst there's an individual pipping system for each player, when you're playing survivor you're playing in a team (even if you're solo).
The Criteria whether the killer wins or the survivor team wins is:
4k: Killer wins
3K: Killer wins
2k: draw
1k: survivor team wins
All four escape: survivor team wins
If the killer chases me for the majority of the game, but I get facecamped at the end and the three other survivors escape, then I class that as a win for me. If I escape through the hatch whilst my team mates got sacrifice, the killer still won.

Hovered between rank 6 to 4. Only played for challenges coz killer is boring
Yeah, it explains a lot...
Gens are the survivors objective, but if you played enough killer you would know sometimes it doesn't matter how good you are as killer, in some games you'll be powerless and there's nothing you can do about (Often happens on certain maps).
It's why you often see the best killers such as Otz, Ardretha, Tru3, Scott Jund, etc lose to mediocre survivors.
I play both sides, I flip between being a survivor main and a killer main. For the majority of my 2k hours in the game I've been a survivor main, but I'm currently a killer main.

Tell me how a survivor disconnecting punishes the killer (apart from a few lost blood points), all your doing is punishing yourself as you're losing all the blood points you've gained in that match.
If I'm playing killer and a survivor disconnects on their death hook, I'll still consider that disconnect a kill.

Which is your opinion, I'm not here to have a NOED debate. The OP asked for baby killer builds and I gave them one.
I'm a killer main and in my opinion new players should keep away from NOED as it creates bad habits. It's not I'm a survivor main saying that NOED is OP, I'm saying that newer killers should keep away from using NOED as it would have a negative impact on their development.
EDIT: Like how self care encourages survivors to go to edge of the map to heal themselves.

Well rounded build and killer for people just starting
Trapper - NOED, Sloppy Butcher, Whispers/Bitter Murmur, Brutal Str. (If you don't have whispers at least tier 3 just use Bitter Murmur)
(Ignore what people say about NOED, since you're just starting off)
NOED is a terrible perk for new killers as it creates bad habits.
I'd recommend new players to buy leatherface and the pig for BBQ and chilli and surveillance.
Hex Ruin and Surveillance is a great combo to help with knowing which gens the killer should pressure.
Whispers is a great perk for tracking.
Currently BBQ and Chilli is kinda useless due to new the auras, but it's great for grinding out blood points.
A build you can use with most killers are BBQ, Whispers, Surveillance and Hex Ruin.

With killers I have more a of leeway with their messages, as I know how stressful killer can be. I always send a good game after matches regardless of the result, however, I do have a stress ball close by when I play killer.

And that's the thing. I'm talking about the bully squads who all bring sabo, butt-dance as they drop hooks, run OoO on midwitch and just teabag and run the killer around the hallway forever, then talk mad ######### in post-game.
IMHO those are the people that are so unfun to play against I actually remember their username, remember how much of a shitter they were, and bring me an Ebony or some kind of toxic build like 3-gen doc (Now with Jigsaw Piece edition) or Tunnel Me Pyramid Head with REAL facecamping.
I play on the playstation 4 so the previous messages I received from that player remain there. Whenever I see a familiar name I'll click on their name and view the message history.
However, most survivors who are toxic post game are often terrible at the game. So when I see a survivor who has been toxic post game, I'll actually I'll go out my to play to the "survivor's rules for killers" book just to prove a point. That I can win against them even when I'm going extremely out of my way to playing to their rules.

This is a 4v1 Lobby and Match style Multiplayer game. When you queue up to play a match you are committing to seeing it through so that everyone can enjoy the game, and everyone else who queued up is depending on your commitment to the match in order to experience said enjoyment. The acceptable reasons for Intentionally Disconnecting from a match are as follows:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or unintentional game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Record if possible, and Report them after leaving the match)
- Influences and situations outside of the game that make your disconnection unavoidable in order to deal with said circumstances.
Disconnecting from a match intentionally for any other reason is a practice in bad sportsmanship that Ruins the experience for all other players, Disconnecting over petty reasons doesn't do anything other than piss off everyone else, and makes you a worse player for it since you don't learn how to play any better by quitting.
Disconnecting is currently being punished for a good reason: Too many DC's from too many players results in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love. If you are frustrated with how a match is going; Take it in stride as a learning experience, see it through to the end, take a break, and decide if you want to queue up for another match. We all bought this game in order to play it with others despite how each match goes, and the majority of the fun this game offers is in the variation of each individual match.Don't be a petty DC'er.

This is a pvp match. If you lose, suck it up. Its your skill vs mine. Not bots. If you can't handle a loss, you shouldn't play. Its simple as that. When you ruin others' experience because you played bad or refuse to play efficiently, you shouldn't be allowed to play PVP games. All you do is hurt the game and the community. Street Fighter is a pvp game. They get massive time bans for dc'ing. Any game where you play against a real person for a show of skill is Player Vs Player. Its unsportsmanlike and dc'ing until you get a super easy match is lazy and shouldn't be allowed.
I don't think either of you even read my post.
Even in my first sentence I wrote "Disconnecting because you're they're losing is pathetic".
A disconnect penalty due to the game randomly kicking players, or a killer leaving the match because a SURVIVOR disconnects because they got downed early (the match is already been ruined by the survivor disconnecting early) do not relate to your responses whatsoever.

I can tell you don't play as the killer.
A 3K is a win. If a killer is in the position to get a 3k then they probably deserve the 4k more then the survivor escaping through the hatch, as the killer actually did their objective.
I personally just hook the second to last survivor because I don't really care if the final survivor gets the hatch or not, because I've already won at that point. Although I find it silly how often survivors gloat because they escaped through the hatch.

Rank doesn't really mean much, just because a survivor is at red ranks doesn't mean they're good. For example I recently came back from a break from DBD so I was a green rank killer (when I'm normally a rank 1 killer), does that automatically make me an inexperienced killer?
Also I don't know many good survivors that use self care in 2020.

BBQ is in the minds of every survivor, every game, whether the killer has it or not.
I don't mind the perk in theory but I would suggest a change.
Instead of secretly revealing survivors for a few seconds, have it make the survivors scream, like doctor. This gives the killer locations and disrupts any action the survivors were taking. It also lets the survivors know they have to deal with BBQ. The tiers could simply increase the range of effect and, can be countered by Calm Spirit, (A underused perk, everyone wishes they had during a Doctor match.)
Nothing quite ruins immersion like the killer knowing exactly where you are.
Lemme guess you're complaining that BBQ is op, yet your survivor build is rocking DS, unbreakable, object of obsession, and dead hard.

well change your location then, it shows survs that are 40+ meters away from you which is a quite a distance fore much of killers

i myself dont even use it at anyone but billy
Going by your response I assume you're relatively new to the game. At the higher levels being stealthy and immersed as a survivor isn't effective, often by playing stealthy you're harming your team more then the killer. The most optimal way to play survivor is to just do generators whilst having a chase route planned in case the killer interrupts your generator progress.

A good killer is about weighing the pressure. If you are wrecking a team of potatoes and still looking at five or four gens, hold back. Maybe, dont hook that same survivor a third time or leave the fourth survivor up instead of trying to slug him.
Of course some killers just want the 4k and, often if you end the game too quickly. You will walk away without many BPs. SOme killers don't care about BPs and, just find it fun to wreck a team they obviously out class.
This game can easily be toxic and one sided. I've had a hard time getting my friends to commit to learning this game because they find it to be not fun.
If a killer wins too quickly the survivors only got themselves to blame. In my opinion going easy against on bad survivors can make matters, worse as you'll give them a pip they didn't deserve, they'll remain playing at a rank out of their depth. It will be unfun for them and they'll also make the game unfun for their future team mates.
However, if you play normally and they depip, they're more likely going to be able to play against killers at their skill level.
Plus playing against potatos is unfun, if I'm playing against a team of potatos I just want to end the match quickly, so I can maybe get a more challenging match in my next game.

It all depends on how you're using it. You downed one person and there's another nearby, yeah slug and chase the other person. If you're just constantly slugging trying to win with a 4 man slug, yeah that's pretty lame.
The other part is slugging at 5 gens can feel like the killer is going to be super sweaty. And let's face it. Games are never fun when one or both sides play super sweaty.
Ironically when I get a called "sweaty try hard" the match was in fact incredibly easy. In matches where I actually have to try hard is when I'm playing against a strong team or a coordinated team, from a survivors point of view those games are "fun" for both sides.

So it's definitely your choice, but also you can expect some unhappy survivors. Sounds like you don't really care though, so you do you.
I've been a rank 1 killer for a long time, when you constantly have to deal with bad manners from survivor players you start to not really care about whether the survivors are having a fun game.
I try my best to play fair, I'll go out of my way to avoid tunneling and camping. I do it because I find it more fun to play that way, rather then doing it for the survivors benefit.

Secondly, using "infinite mending" as a justification for any changes to his design is absolutely ridiculous, two addons couldve been changed or removed, in fact they didnt even disable them at first which allowed the problem to get worse due to the reason I stated above: Twitch streamers trying to get him removed and encouraging the backwards walking and infinite mending. To make matters worse they made a statement that anyone running the addons would be "auto-banned" no reporting needed,... insteead of removing the addons. Or, gasp, fixing them?
"Moonwalking Legion could have been fixed" It's like you don't play DBD.
Just have a look at the bugs that haven't been fixed yet. I'm pretty sure the silent slug bug has been in the game since 2019, but that hasn't been fixed. Often survivors are bugged where they the survivors don't make any sound (footsteps, the movement of grass etc, being able to stand in certain areas so the killer can't hit them, etc.).
Old Legion was just a bad killer gameplay wise, was the worst thing to be introduced to DBD. In my opinion whilst new Legion is one of the weakest killers in the game, but gameplay wise he's a lot of better gameplay wise then he was.

Everyone here knows legion arguebly falls in the bottom 3 tiers on any list you see, and it's dude to one thing. He lacks lethality, sure he can injure but at the end of the day to kill he's an m1 killer.
• Attacking while in Feral Frenzy will no longer be a basic attack. This means that perks that trigger with a basic attack will no longer trigger under this circumstance.
This was a change he got in 3.4.0, and I'm just wondering, why?
I know a lot of people might argue (hahahaha but now you're getting perk benefits so easy he didnt deserve THIS MUCH POWER!!) The usual calling anything viable OP.
Maybe reverting these changes is what the legion needs right now. Sloppy allows him to slow down the game a bit in his favor, Franklin's disables bully squads, Save the best for the last allows him to actually be lethal and play agressively.
He did not need a nerf but certainly a buff we still long await. And I'm sorry but anyone who says as of now legion needs a nerf or "is in a solid spot" clearly hasn't played him in ranks 1-4, or might have gotten lucky.
Quick question, were you playing DBD when old legion was around?
Old Legion was probably the worst thing introduced into DBD. A lot of survivors complain about killers being unfun due to not knowing how to counter a certain killer, but Legion was generally extremely unfun to play (I didn't play as Legion until his remork) and against. There were so many exploits a Legion player could use, such as infinite mending (not exaggerating, it literally took five minutes to mend) and moonwalking Legion.
An average match of Legion would result with Legion hitting you with Frenzy, he would moonwalk whilst following the blood. The old deep wound timer would go down when not in a chase, when Legion was moonwalking it didn't count as in chase. So the survivor had two options continue mending and become an easy down, or run eventually to get downed to the deep wound timer.

I know and I hate it so much. I had one guy d/c because I missed a flashlight save, another d/c after someone went down too early, multiple on maps they didn't like, and last match they brought a game offering and d/ced.
Although I somewhat understand the miss flashlight save as a reason to disconnect.
Whilst I don't disconnect when I'm playing survivor, I'm often tempted to DC when I see a random do something stupid like waste god pallet, waste pallets in general, make a dreadful flashlight save attempt (I once had a random Nea flashlight the ground when trying to make a flashlight save), etc.

but then that would encourage the survivors to continue being disrespectful in their next match, there's no winning unless the behaviour ceases
When I first got to red ranks as a survivor in 2018 I use to T bag all the time, but I quickly learnt the player pool at red ranks is relatively small and you're extremely likely to play against the same players (killers). I was getting mori'd and camped for stuff I did in previous games, I quickly learnt that if I don't bm the killer I'm much more likely to have a fun game.
If a survivor t bags and then gets downed, the killer starts facecamping them when they have been playing fair until then the survivor should understand why they are being camped. Hopefully it should install the thought "I don't want to be facecamped, so I won't t bag this killer."

would you put up with someone being blatantly disrespectful to your face when you know full well they haven't got the right to?
You could just camp them, that should make them regret t bagging.

Probably Huntress.
She's the next one in line for the dreaded "add on" rework.

...all other are free to DC without penalty? If so, why i dont keep my bloodpoints? God damn it, why game cant tell me that? Cant devs give me any freaking feedback about ######### is going on in this game? "YOU ARE FREE TO GO, BECUSE SOME ######### DC AFTER FIRST HIT!" This should be on screen. :/
Everyone loses their blood points they earned during game when they disconnect/leave the game. Currently the DC ban penalty is no longer active, but you still lose a pip and your blood points.
Tbh if you make the decision to DC for whatever reason, then you don't deserve to keep your blood points as you ruined the game for four other players.

Hello fellow fog runners. I've come to a conclusion that makes me sad.. people just don't get it. Or maybe its ME that doesn't get it.. I'll explain..
I play survivor and killer mostly equally, but prefer killer. I am a huge fan of the original Texas chainsaw massacre for over 20 years so obviously main Leatherface.
After 3 years of playing, I've come to a point where literally 90 percent of my matches I find myself finding a corner to stand in so survivors can get some points so the match feels worthwhile to them.
In response to the hate mssgs I received when the game was new to me, I've learned what not to do (tunnel, camp, plank ppl for no reason, etc.) Playing survivor helped me also as I never do as killer what I hate being done to me as survivor.
This is my point I guess, I can come out of a match with 60-100k on average without actually killing anyone (I run BBQ, discordance, gearhead, and beast of prey.) And I feel good that everyone got a lot of points and had fun. I like playing games w survivors to make it interesting and have got nothing but good feedback from matches in the last couple years..
So question.. am I the only one that gets it? Cuz I'm sick to my stomach with the way killers play/act. It's attrocious the things ppl do "because they can"
Wake up killers, your not only hurting your own score by playing with no concience, keep in mind that NOBODY likes getting 3k points a match. It doesn't make you good friend, and karma will get you.
See you in the fog.
EmptyBore76
I use to play like you. When I first started playing killer I was a survivor main, so my goal was to just two hook everyone and let everyone escape at the end. I tried to make the game as enjoyable for the killers.
Whilst it help me to be able to manage the game whilst still having four survivors still alive, I was unable to continue to play like this when I first got to rank 1 (I was using level 1 killers at the time).
However, I still try my best to play as fair as possible, to the point I'll even go out of my way to avoid tunneling and camping. Although, I no longer do this for the survivors benefit, the reason I still play fair is due to me finding it more fun to play this way.
I've been a rank 1 killer for nearly two years, so I've been having to deal with survivors terrible behaviour for quite some time. Getting toxic messages post game despite going out my way to play fair is incredibly draining. So whilst I play fair, I no longer care about whether the survivors got enough points or not.

It's one of my favourite maps (*in terrible mic voice*) as survivor.
Despite being a Doctor main, I really struggle on this map when I'm playing as Doctor. However, I do alright when I'm playing any other killer.

This is the kind of thinking that’s wrong with our community.
If you’re frustrated because your team sucks, cool - suicide on hook... but don’t be a dick and ######### in front of someone about to save you.
Two years of playing solo survivor and killer at rank 1 has corrupted me.
Again, I find it concerning that you have more of an issue of me preventing immersive survivors from getting altruism points, then survivors who just urban evade around the map, these survivors are the reason why solo survivor can be so frustrating. It would be understandable if these survivors were rank 20 but they're not, they're red ranks.
Plus, it wasn't like I planned to let go off struggle the moment my team mate tried to save me. I was on a run of terrible games, and in a moment I just decided "screw it" and let go, take a break from the game and try my luck later on.

So you wasted the time of the person who was trying to save you? If you didn't want to play anymore why not just suicide right away? Why 'hang around'(lol) just to sandbag your team?
I don't know how you can "waste someone's time" whose just urban evading around the map, it's not as if they're working on generators. Those who play like that are more deadly to their team then the killer.
When you're a strong looper, and you get downed after a chase that was longer then five minutes but your team haven't been working on the objective in that time, it's only natural to be annoyed (I expect to get decent team mates at red ranks).
Preventing that survivor from getting altruism points at the last second was my way at getting back at them for making my long chase pointless.
Although I find it concerning that you have more of an issue of me not allowing the immersive survivor altruism points, then the three survivors just urban evading around the map and searching chests, rather than doing the objective.

@DrDeepwound said:
Actually that is usually done when the team is terribad or making bad plays. Its done as a "screw you" to the team. Perhaps your team did something to cause it because everytime I see it happen its when someone sat on a gen and let their friend hit struggle or something that triggered them to die on hook. Thats the only time I see someone let go right before being unhooked.
This.
I had a game on Yamoaka (My least favourite map), where I had a six minute chase against a rank 2 Hillbilly, and only one generator was completed. I saw two survivors urban evading around the map, and another in the basement searching a chest.
By the time my team mates got round to unhooking me, I was in struggle state and just before one of the randoms could unhook me I let go as I didn't want to give that player altruism points. Plus playing on Yamoaka with useless team mates is a match I do not want to be in.

I am glad they are gone, got so sick and tired of playing the same toxic SWF 20 times a day.
Middle Eastern people are the most toxic and uncivil, and they are not shy to show it even in video games.
Most people were using VPN to run away from them so honestly this is way better. I don't feel the games are laggy at all, at very worst they are 130 ms.
Please BHVR save cost and keep them closed for good.
I think there's toxicity from every region. For example I'm from Europe so I had the opinion that European players were the most toxic, as I play against Europeans the most. So it's only natural that I'll come across more toxic players from Europe.
However, I often go against players from the Middle East and they're often the best survivor players that I go against. It has increased my confidence in my killer game play as I consistently win against extremely strong SWF's.
Although I personally don't really care what someone does in a match, if they t bag me then I'll just stop going out my way to play fair but that's about it. What I consider toxic is when someone sends toxic post game messages. Often it's only the bad survivors that send toxic messages, as they're the ones who have an unrealistic expectation of how the killer should play.

I personally don't get the appeal of playing in DBD tournaments as the killer.
I've been invited to play as killer at tournaments, as I often win or draw against competitive SWF teams in public games. However, I rather not voluntarily go against SWF's without an incentive reward. At least in public matches I'm rewarded with blood points when I play against Survive with Friends.

Im not someone with 4k or 8k hrs in the game but going against a billy good or bad is just boring as his hitbox is gigantic. I guess the only way to be experienced is if u enjoy going against billy not how many hrs u have in the game. Your comment makes 0 sense as liking going against a killer doesn't mean they need to be nerfed/buffed just cuz of how u feel. The devs own the game they have the stats we don't if they think their game needs changes they'll change it. Until then be experienced and enjoy versing billy
If you're relatively new to the game you're not in a position to have an accurate opinion on the game's balance.
The reason new survivor players don't like going against Hillbilly, compared to survivor players who have been playing the game for a long time is that experienced players know how to counter Hillbilly.
When playing against current Hillbilly you need to stick to structures, if you're in the open you're giving the Hillbilly a free down. However, a good Hillbilly can use their chainsaw at loops. If going against a good Hillbilly, it is all about your positioning. If the survivor plays the loop better they are able to stay alive for a long time, if the survivor makes a mistake then they get downed.
Player feed back is important, without our feed back Ghostface would still be terrible, infinite loops, moon walking Legions, and old DS would still be in the game.

Really scummy move to do such a huge nerf hotfix for a killer after we all spend the money on the DLC and bloodpoints for prestige.
not seeing the cages loses so much info and is huge hinderance to his power and makes DS/BT super powerful like they always were.
If only i could get a refund on this. Why should i even spend money on DLC for this game when it is just nerfed right after release, really scummy move. I was excited playing this game again but now maybe time to move on for good. I feel swindled out of my money and feel like Konami been disrespected.
It was most optimal to use the cage/final judgement mechanic on their death hook anyway. Because sending a survivor to the cage could potentially take two survivors out of the torment state.
I'm a rank 1 killer but watching countless Pyramid Head players rushing to the cage just to camp the cage was extremely lame. Pyramid Head is a solid killer you don't need to camp with him.

So now that Billy will require skill all the entitled killer mains are "quitting", is that really a bad thing tho? No not at all actually. Making a killer require skill does not make them bad, if all u do as billy is rev your chainsaw until u can oneshot u prob shouldn't be playing a game thats based around chases, u have an m1 attack for a reason, plus it doesn't even stop him from sprinting at all. Ppl need to stop overreacting over small changes and calling every killer F tier cuz of their power having a cooldown, smth as strong as Billy's power should not be used 24/7. Is Spirit F tier cuz her power has a cooldown and she is a 110 movement speed? Plus the bubba changes seem good and we haven't even gotten a chance to test it. It reminds me of when Legion got changed and everyone thought omg they killed legion what are they doing etc etc. Then we tested it and it felt good and fair. Can we all wait and see how it feels instead of shitting on the devs the moment they change anything?
I don't think you play killer at red ranks.
Being able to chainsaw good/strong survivors at loops took skill.
Then again I doubt you're even that experienced as survivor, as experienced survivors enjoy going against a good Hillbilly. It actually brought an adrenaline rush to survivor game play, when chased by a good Hillbilly.
