I haven't posted on the forums since November 2020, I no longer play at red ranks as I only play DBD sporadically but I really hope the devs scrap SBMM. So far all I've seen it do is make queue times longer, random matches, and generally most matches aren't enjoyable. Good/experienced players going against inexperienced/less adapt players isn't enjoyable, and vice versa. The old rank match ma5 comments 151 views last activity

As you can tell by my profile picture, I main Jake when I play survivor. Jake is one of the original four survivors. He's one of the most played characters in the game, he's one of the few survivors that has a Legacy skin, and a lot of DBD content creators have Jake as their main. So why hasn't Jake featured in the Rift yet? Blight has featured in two separate Tomes. Even Adam has now featur10 comments 231 views last activity

Decent/experienced killers know when and when not to commit to a chase. Plus once you play enough killer you can identify a strong survivor and potato. Once you identify the strongest survivor, you'll leave them be for the majority of the match and target the survivors that play like baby Meg's. It's extremely rare that you'll go against four good loopers in a single match, even at red ranks. W3 comments 31 views last activity

Since the implementation of cross play I've seen countless comments from content creators, reddit users, forum users etc. that console players aren't at the same level as PC players. This might be true for the killer side of the game, as console killers suffer from FPS issues which is to no fault of their own. However, there really isn't much difference between a PC survivor and a console survi12 comments 211 views last activity

After yesterday's patch fix, the bugs that were fixed were the audio of the killer's radius for survivors, Huntress' hatchet hit boxes, and when you hook a survivor is hooked in the basement, they'll appear to float in the air. All these bugs have something in common, they affect survivors. To be honest, I barely noticed them when I was playing survivor, and didn't impact my gaming experience t38 comments 1,021 views last activity

Since the update killer has been dreadful to play, due to the amount of bugs. There's a lot fps drops, sometimes you can't hook survivors, vault windows, break pallets, and damage generators. There needs to be a patch fix immediately, as killer is the most stressful at higher tier game-play. When you're playing killer against good survivors often you're always one mistake away from losing the3 comments 71 views last activity

For those that have played solo survivor will know you will get randoms with the seemingly combined IQ of 3, regardless whether you're at rank 1 or at rank 20. You'll either get a baby Meg/Meghead wasting all the pallets in the first 20 seconds, or a Nea urban evading at the edge of the map. When playing solo survivor how often do contemplate whether those kind of team mates are worth your altr18 comments 181 views last activity

I see a lot of people of saying that solo survivor needs a buff if killer gets a buff, this is something I disagree with. When I was a survivor main, I mainly played solo survivor. So I know what it's like to play solo survivor, and how stressful it can be. However, the frustrations in solo queue isn't due to the game mechanics, rather due to the incompetent of other survivors. So I see a lot of survivors asking for nerfs for certain killers, such as spirit. However, I believe a lot of those survivors have not played enough as that killer. If they did then they would know the strengths and weaknesses of the killer, probably wouldn't be asking for nerfs. When you play a certain killer you learn their strengths and weaknesses over time. With this knowledge you'll know h0 comments 51 views last activity

Excluding when the killer is using OP addons and an ebony Mori. Survivors, when is a killer try harding in your opinion? When I play killer and I have survivors calling me a "try hard", often the match was actually quite easy as the survivors were far below my skill level. Not much I can do in that situation as those survivors are meant to be red ranks, and I can only play against what I'm put a8 comments 131 views last activity

So I've played the game since July 2018, and have over 2k hours in the game. Whilst I've always played both sides, for the majority of those two years I've been a survivor main. Until I slowly begun transitioning into a killer main in the last six months. The reason I've reduced the amount of the time I play survivor, is due to feeling that in the past year playing survivor has been dumb down.0 comments 31 views last activity

I've been playing this game for two years, I have played both sides, often shifted from being a survivor main to a killer main. From my experience the quality of games at red ranks decreased once the devs change the rank reset system, where you were just moved down to the previous crest colour. For example anyone in red ranks were moved back to rank 5. This meant that it was incredibly easy to0 comments 51 views last activity

So I've lost count the amount of times I've had a survivor message me "GG Ez" after they escaped through the hatch. I rarely slug for the 4k, as I see a 3k as a win and once I downed the second to the last survivor I'm ready to move onto the next game. I use to be a survivor main and I still don't get why some survivors feel the need gloat about getting a hatch escape. Whether through post gam83 comments 1,821 views last activity

I'm going to state that in my opinion NOED is a bad perk. If you're using NOED, you're basically using three perks for the entire game. A perk slot which could be used for a perk to help you to try and prevent the gens from being done. If you do down someone with NOED the survivors are less likely to try to go for the rescue and just leave if they're already near the exit gates, meaning you los66 comments 2,501 views last activity

Whenever a survivor send hate towards the killer at the end of the game, complaining about the way killer played it's often the weakest link. When I play killer it's rare I'll get toxic messages from competent/decent/good survivors. When I do get messages from survivors, complaining about how I played, calling me a try hard, etc, it's often from a survivor whose isn't good at the game. The surv7 comments 81 views last activity

I'm going state that I think players who disconnect because they're losing is pathetic. However, if a survivor wants to leave a match they can simply give up on hook which has the same impact on the game as a player disconnecting. However, if I'm playing killer and I down a survivor and they immediately disconnect, with the DC penalty I'm put into a terrible position. So this is a common complaint I see from survivor players, I even seen Tru3ta1ant (a killer main) criticizing killers who slug at five generators. However, every time I hear or see this complaint I ask, why should the killer not slug at five generators? Unless the killer is using a slugging build. Often the reason the killer is able to slug is due to survivor teams mistake. For example if I do32 comments 951 views last activity

So I'm a Doctor main so I often get survivors disconnecting at the start of the game because they "don't like playing against Doctor". To those who disconnect because it's a certain killer they don't like, my response is that I don't like playing against SWF's but I don't disconnect whenever I go against a SWF, I just deal with it. And yes there are killers I dislike playing against, namel3 comments 71 views last activity

So I see a lot comments saying that killer is a lot easier then it use to be. When playing as the killer do you have a least favourite survivor, who you are more determined to sacrifice then any other survivor. If so, who and why? For me it's Nea. It's not because of her aesthetic design, as Nea use to be one of the main survivors I played back in 2018. The reason Nea is my least favourite survivor when I'm playing as the killer, is due to the players playing as her.23 comments 241 views last activity

A lot of people share the opinion that Discordance level 1 is a better perk then Discordance 3, as you get more notifications with Discordance level 1. However, it gets quite annoying when the blood web forces you to get Discordance level 2 and level 3. So as Discordance level 1 is a better perk then Discordance level 3, therefore I think their values should be swapped over.0 comments 22 views last activity

So over the past few days I've seen a lot of posts about how killers are being toxic. Personally when I play killer I try my best to play as fair as possible, even when there isn't an obsession. However, sometimes I'm forced to use scummy tactics to turn the game back in my favour. These include tunneling the weakest link or proxy camping to get a survivor out of the game. I've seen a lot of people mention that the old event skins do not look as good as the skins that are being released now, so why do people care that they are now given out for free? It's not about their aesthetics but rather what they represent. Whilst the map has only just been released, in my opinion this new map is even more killer sided than Hawkins. At least Hawkins has good loop potential. The look of the Silent Hill map is great, however the map layout isn't great. So far it doesn't seem to have much looping potential, which consists with it being easy to patrol as killer. Normally I'm a very strong looper, I always have a chase route in mind in case the killer decides to chase me. I even coach players to help them improve their looping. However with this map I'm having a real hard time navigating it, as both survivor and as killer. I can't really plan a chase route as the map is still very alien to me. I play survivor (mainly solo) and killer at rank 1. Most Nea's I come across are always the most boosted. Are often the prime example of how easy it is to rank up as survivor. There are two common types of Nea's you'll come across. The first is the basic Nea with Urban Evasion. So there are quite a lot of terrible totem spawns, such as the one in Lery's, right next to generators, and other obvious places. I've lost count the amount of times I've had my totems spawn right next to generators. The only reason I can think of that totems have these terrible spawns is due to NOED. Personally I would gladly take nerf for NOED in exchange for better totem spawns. Personall0 comments 31 views last activity

Does anyone just feel that DBD just hates them, due to how unlucky they are with RNG. Whenever I play survivor I rarely get the strongest tile RNG spawn, I rarely get the party bus. Often I load into the game and the map hasn't spawned any jungle gyms, only T and L walls and pallet gyms. I get randoms using self care and urban evasion. When the Clown first came out people thought he was strong, even Adretha (a killer main) thought Clown was strong. When Spirit was first released people thought Spirit was a fun but a weak killer. When the Doctor got his rework, people thought it was a nerf to cater around "baby survivors". When Deathslinger was released people just saw him as a bad version of Huntress. So I play both sides at red ranks for quite some time so I believe my opinion on balance is unbiased. I have my survivor sided views and my killer sided views. In my opinion the biggest issue with balance is generators, whether it's the time it takes to complete them or how easy is it for the killer to patrol them. So I had an idea that if survivors choose to play SWF then they forfeit the ability to use certain perks. As certain perks are okay when used by solo survivors but become unbalanced when used by SWF teams. Object of Obsession: When OoO is paired with comms, it becomes extremely unbalanced and unfair to the killer to go against. I personally only came back from a three month break from the game, so I'm still not familiar with the new map layouts. There should be a system in place that allows players to leave the game without any penalties when certain criteria are met Against a DC: So when a killer has a survivor disconnecting at the start of the match, the killer should then be given the option to end the match without any penalties. I think the current rank reset along with dedicated servers are the reason for the matchmaking issues. As it increases the amount of the player base that are in red ranks. For me it was the most fun I had in Dead by Daylight since before the Legion DLC update. For starters match making actually worked as intended, red ranks would play against red ranks. I just got back into Dead By daylight after not playing since mid March. I know about the new map changes, whilst it will take time getting used to it was needed for the killer's perspective. I'm a survivor main but I play killer at red ranks as well. I've played at red ranks as both as a survivor and killer for nearly two years now. Current DS is not as bad as old DS, whilst some killers would disagree but when old DS was about survivors weren't as optimal and objective focused as they are now. A single mistake as killer wouldn't cost you the game back then, unlike it does now. H9 comments 101 views last activity

I haven't played DBD in over a month, and I played my first game on the new map as killer last night. Does anyone else want to see the Alchemist as a killer? I don't know what his powers would be but it would be interesting from a lore perspective on how a survivor can turn into a killer if they lose their hope. Maybe Vigo could be the new survivor.
