  • So from what I get from the community is that slugging is viewed on the same level as camping and tunneling. Whilst I'm a red rank killer I am a survivor main, I don't see the problem with slugging. Slugging is the result of the survivors team incompetence. The only reason slugging can happen if the survivor team allows the killer an opportunity to slug. If I down a survivor and I see another s

  • Whilst I'm a red rank killer I've never played Spirit properly other then doing a daily or if I just wanted to Mori the obsession with Rancor. So I'm asking Spirit mains for suggestions of perk builds (I don't have Stridor, but I do have nurses calling Thanaphobia), and the best way to play as Spirit. Also I don't like to use addons as a killer, I'll only use add ons if I see a survivor in my l

  • So which killer do you believe was the most evil before they were taken by the entity? I'm not including licensed characters in this discussion as Freddy and Myers would probably be the most obvious winner. For me I think the Doctor and the Clown were the most evil and sadistic before they were taken by the entity. The Oni, Frank (The Legion), and Ghostface were evil as well but in my opinion

  • So this is based from playing as the Doctor as I haven't played much as survivor since the update, so I haven't had a chance to go against a good Doctor. I've been having a lot of fun playing as Doctor, and I use to hate playing as Doctor before his rework. In my opinion after he's rework he's now a really strong killer. He's still the best tracking killer in the game and he can shut down loops

  • I raise this question as I see a lot of posts saying how much time it wastes of the killers time going after a good looper. Every time I read one of these posts, I just think why are they chasing that survivor? Is there not a weaker survivor they could be chasing instead? The only time you should commit to chasing a good survivor at the start of the game is if all four survivors are strong, wit

  • First, I am a survivor main. Before the end game collapse update survivors use to have to complete two generators before the hatch would even spawn. So my idea is that if the survivors were unable to complete two generators the hatch would show it's aura to the killer. This mechanic is already in the game as Bill's perk Left Behind, so would be simple to implement. If the game is going badly

  • When I mean toxic, I don't mean if they looped, T bagged, spam their flashlight at me. I mean when survivors are toxic post game in end game chat or in personal messenger. As the the title suggests how often do you get matched with the same survivors that were toxic post game in your previous game, only to get them again in your next match? For me I've lost count the amount of times I've had

  • I know new Lery's is nice to look at but what are people's thoughts on new Lery's in a game-play perspective. I haven't played survivor yet on new Lery's but I have played a handful of games as killer, the games I've had have not been an enjoyable experience. When I'm on Lery's feel like I can't provide map pressure due to not being able to travel across the map quick enough due to all the corri

  • The recent updates such as the Doctor rework and the ruin update seem to be about making the game more enjoyable for new players. However, Dead by Daylight does not take long to learn compared to other PVP games, due to the low mechanical skill requirement. If a new player puts the effort in to learn the game and to improve themselves, they can become a good player in a short period of time. E

  • When I play killer I always struggle on Disturbed Ward even against mediocre survivors. I've even lost to four survivors using self care whilst on the Disturbed Ward. Disturbed Ward is a large a map which makes it harder to provide map pressure. As well as having a massive god loop in the main building. Haddonfield gets a lot of attention for being a bad map for the killer, which it is. For me p

  • Whilst I'm a survivor main, when I play killer I'm a Hillbilly main, but I play a lot of Leatherface as well. When I was playing Leatherface last night I received a lot of messages from survivors saying that "Leatherface is OP". I expect to hear that from a rank 10 or rank 15 survivor, but I was getting these messages were from red rank and rank 5 survivors. I even had one survivor who thought

  • So I was one of the original doubters about the incoming nerf for Hex: Ruin. As I didn't think Ruin needed to be nerfed, as it wasn't even that strong against good survivors. I even made a post about Ruin not needing to be nerfed. However, since I saw new ruin on the PTB I started to like it and started to plan how I could implement it into my current killer builds. This might be because ruin b

  • What are everyone's opinion on the impact that the new rank reset has had on the game? I personally made had my doubts before it was implemented, as the boosted survivors and killers you use to see at red ranks at the end of the season during the old rank reset system would remain at high ranks at the end of the season. I have noticed an increase of bad players playing at high ranks throughout

  • As someone who has recently stopped using ruin in their killer builds, the nerf to Hex:Ruin won't impact me as much as other players. Although in my opinion it was a perk that did not need to be nerfed, survivors that were struggling with ruin just needed to learn how to hit great skill checks (I am a survivor main). The thing that has alarmed me the most is that they are removing the player ra

  • I've looked at the upcoming updates, I just don't understand the reason for them. It appears that they are balancing the game around new players, but DBD doesn't take long to learn compared to other games. There are many tutorials on youtube, which are easy for new players to learn. I started playing in July 2018, I got to rank 1 both as a survivor and as a killer in September 2018. at that point

  • I'm a survivor main but in my opinion keys in it's current state are broken (along with mori's), need to be reworked. When I play killer I've lost count the amount of times I've made a come back with two or one gen remaining, which wouldn't be possible if a survivor brought a key into the game. On the other side the survivors could 3 or 4 gen themselves, use up all the pallets that surrounded t

  • I'm a survivor main who mainly plays solo queue, I honestly do not think solo survivor needs to be buffed. A survivor does not need information or comms to know that if they are not being chased, then they should be working on a generator. If a survivor does need communication and information to know when they should be working on generators, then they should focus on improving as a survivor. E

  • Anyone that has played killer has experienced a survivor disconnected in the first minute of the game because they got downed first or because they don't like the killer they are playing against. In my opinion the killer should then have the option to end the game. Personally I don't want to play against a 3v1 as it would be unfair on the survivors, on the other hand I don't want to boost poten

  • So since the new chapter they've made maps darker than they were before. Yamaoka was already a dark map anyway, did it really needed to be made any darker. In my opinion Yamaoka is currently too dark, to the point that it has made playing on Yamaoka challenging to play as both the killer and the survivor. The darkness of Yamaoka makes tracking survivors a nightmare, especially against Claudette

  • Everyone has their favourite killer and least favourite killer to go against, maybe they're considered fun or unfun to play against or often that killer is associated with an unpopular play style (camping and tunneling). These are my favourite killers to play against: Hill Billy: I main Hill Billy when I play as killer, I know his strengths and his limitations. Going against a good Hill Billy

  • I personally always seem to play better when I am playing solo compared to when in SWF. I believe it's because when I'm playing solo I'm more focused on the game, whereas in SWF I'm often talking about stuff unrelated to the game and not really paying attention. SWF is often related to gen rush, but good survivors don't need to know when to work on generators. If I'm not being chased I'll work o

  • So this post is just for a bit of fun, for those who play solo survivor. Everyone associates a specific survivor that you look at them and you have a feeling that is random is going to be bad even before the start of the game. For me these are the survivors I associate with bad randoms: David: The majority of David's that are in my matches play really dumb, I just run around the map aimlessly,

  • What are everyone's opinion on the new rank reset system. Personally I quite enjoyed the little break from rank 1 playing at rank 10 for a bit. The main issue I have with the new rank reset system is that at the end of the season you get a lot of boosted survivors and killers getting to red ranks. With the new rank system a lot of these players who are out of their depth at high ranks, will be s

  • Even if it was a bug it was really helpful for solo survivors to see the randoms rank and character level. If someone brought in one or two rank 15 survivors into a red rank game, you can help those survivors better as you know that they aren't as experienced as you. I don't know what's wrong with other survivors being able to see all the survivors ranks in the lobby, as SWF already know the s

  • At rank 1 as a survivor I expect to deal with long queue times, OP addons, going against Spirit every few games, what I don't expect to deal with are campers and tunnelers . I expect campers and tunnelers at rank 15, as they don't know any better. While my motto that it's not killers job to make the game fun for survivors (and vice versa), if a killer wants to play basement camping Leatherface,

  • Personally Dead by Daylight has always been a game of your good days, your meh days, and you're bad days. Your bad days are as if your brain has forgotten how to play Dead By Daylight. It doesn't matter how good or bad the killer or survivor is, you'll make a stupid mistake that'll cost you the game. Last night was one of one of my bad days. My overall control of my character (Survivor) was ter

  • So I a few days ago I got back to playing Dead by Daylight after not playing for three weeks so I missed out on rank reset, so I was still rank 10. In my first few games back I felt sorry for the killer, particularly against this rank 12 Ghostface. I looped him for three gens whilst only using one pallet until they abandoned the chase and ignored me like the plague, whilst I escaped unbroken. Th

  • So I'm a survivor main but I play both survivor and killer, and have reached rank 1 in both (mind you I haven't reached rank 1 killer since October 2018, and I'm not that good with killer anymore). With Dead By Daylight I notice an expectation that their opponent's job is to provide them with a "fun game". To be honest this is mostly from survivors, who some believe it's the killers job to provi

  • For the rift challenge "None Shall Survive" that you need to kill all survivors in the trial is that by moriing them, because I've been playing the game since July 2018 and I haven't been able to do the achievement (I am a survivor main). I'm hoping you just need to sacrifice them, as most games you get survivors disconnecting just before you can mori them.

  • So I'm a survivor main. What I don't get is why experienced survivors enjoy going against inexperienced killers who barely know how to play. For me going against inexperienced killers are the most boring matches. Inexperienced killers often camp, tunnel, don't know how to mind game, are really easy to loop to the point where it's not fun. If you're not being chased your just doing generators a

  • So Badham Preschool was reworked but if any map that needed a rework it is Shelter Woods. Shelter Woods is basically an empty space with trees, with a few jungle gyms littered around the map and a big tree in the middle. • So I've decided make a poll to ask the community in their opinion what's more important doing generators or helping a fellow survivor (i.e unhooking, healing)? For me in my opinion it's always team mates are more important then gens, as you can always come back to a generator but with less team mates getting gens done become a lot harder to complete. Unless that team mate on the hook was more ha

  • Why is tea bagging such a big deal in this community? Tea bagging is something that is part and parcel of most competitive video games, yet I've seen posts suggesting that people should be banned and moris implemented to tackle this behaviour. When I started playing this game over a year ago, I didn't see what was the big deal with Tea bagging as before I was playing DBD I was playing Overwatch

  • I've noticed that when you disconnect from a match you only lose one pip instead of two. I got disconnected as a survivor due to an internet error, I came back to see that I only lost one pip. Then when I was playing killer, a survivor disconnected because I chainsawed them as Hillbilly. As I didn't want to waste my time playing a 3v1, I disconnected from the game. Again, I only lost one pip. I

  • I'm a rank 1 survivor on the PS4. I like the changes they made with SWF where they base the matchmaking on the highest ranked survivor. As whilst I do not enjoy playing against Spirits with Beads, Insta Hatchets, Moris, etc. I do enjoy going against a decent killer. As being able to loop a red rank killer or even make them disconnect because they can't catch you is more rewarding than looping an

  • I see many comments where other members mention that playing Leatherface is a sure way to even make red rank survivors to make really dumb decisions. When I play against a Leatherface my whole composure during the game just goes through the roof, and I play like a complete dork. A gold fish would have better decision making than I would against a Leatherface. For me it's because I have a bad fe

  • So I hear a lot of people play at red ranks, myself included say that they hate being at red ranks. Due to the long queue times, OP addons and items, playing against the same laggy players etc. I personally have the most most fun at purple ranks (I even have a smurf which I keep at mid purple). However, despite this we always find our way to rank 1 each season. So what is your reason for getting

  • So most people who play solo survivor or even just duo SWF will know that the randoms are sometimes the hardest challenge as a survivor. Whilst you might be lucky and have a really good team, most of the time you'll have team mates who are not doing anything to contribute to the escape, other than crouching around the map and wasting most of the pallets. I would understand it if I was playing a

I know dedicated servers, but this is an issue that needs to be fixed before then. Especially that killers get a blood point bonus for when survivors DC.

  • One of the biggest issues with this game is the hit boxes, the amount times the killer has swung in thin air and the hit managed to connect with me is beyond belief, the killer even has his back and the hit still connects. Even a lot of content creators have also raised issues with the hit boxes, so it's something that needs to be looked at.

For me my favourite maps are Springwood, Autohaven Wreckers, Macmillan Estate (Except Shelter Woods), and Crotus Prenn Asylum. As I find these are the easiest to the loop the killer.
