  • Taller killers take bigger strides, but they have to move the same speed as the small Freddy killer who is shorter and takes many strides. Just perception... and hiccups / hangups / dropped frames

  • Let's say this was a thing.

I would make every killer play Nurse. I either have an easy game 90% of the time or give up on 1st hook the other 10%.

  • Survivors who free themselves should be affected by the Incapacitated status effect for a brief period, base kit

That's the worst take ever. Killers being toxic doesn't mean you should dc. Report them and move on. If everyone just dc-ed whenever they wanted, there would be no matches left to even play.

Another bad take. If survivors reported the killer everytime it was a killer they didn't like then there would be no more killers (and no more matches) left to play

  • Taking bets...

Which will the devs delete first: keys, or Charolette's ability to bodyblock on top of items?

  • @boogerboy123 said:

yeah its annoying (im killer main) but i have a galaxy brain idea. push them out of gate = no survivor at gate = happy killer

Give up on hook = killer cannot tunnel you anymore = happy survivor

Survivors get a concede option; killers don't

  • Crashes don't exist, you're just lying to get the dc penalty removed. Buy a better PC

If it peeves you off so much, buy me the Xbox Series X|S and pay the devs more money to improve the game health. Thanks

  • Game crahsed again. May as well post here while I wait out the 15 minutes. Guess it's what I get for "ruining other's fun." The other 3 had to finish an unfairly balanced match without me because I chose to play DbD while the possible risk of crashes was present. Punish me!

Blast mine dont need any nerf the perk is fine the it is. The biggest issue is the surprise blind that flash hurt the eye so bad if i get flash 2 or 3 time in the same trial i quit and stop playing because my head start to hurt and the only thing i see is some red spot in my vision

Or you could anticipate a blind and squint your eyes before kicking a gen. Currently, you'll only have to do this when Jill's in the lobby, but soon any survivor could have it.

  • Any luck yet?

I still don't see it yet

Which Xbox? One, One X or Series S/X?

It's still not showing for me so I can't buy it, BHVR won't let me lol.

Okay, at least I'm not the only one. (Xbox One)

Been checking the Store page for DbD every 15 mins for the past 2 hours and still only 26 addons (RE being #27), and yes, I've been returning to the Home page and selecting Quit on the Store App between checks. (No updates available for the Store App either)

  • Tunneling plagues newer survivors at lesser ranks more than other survivors/ranks.

They need Decisive Strike the most, yet are most affected by the skill check requirement as they are more likely to fail it than veterans.

The skill check ought to be removed or made massive.

  • Defense:

    • Spine Chill
    • Urban Evasion
    • Calm Spirit
    • Iron WIll (used to be Small Game back when it could detect killer traps)

It's a nice go-to because no matter which killer I face these perks help counter their powers (except Legion, which is why I hate playing against Legion).

    ----

    Offense:

    • Open Handed
    • Visionary
    • Bond
    • Kindred

See your objectives, see your team, and see the killer when it matters (during a hook rescue).

  • That explains why I heard his "terror radius," but wasn't gaining progress on Diversion

  • Anytime the killer has a choice between another survivor and myself, they choose me. Tunneling? Targeting? Harassment? IDGAF what it's called; that's what's happening

  • Iron Will should remove grunts of pain in the dying state

  • If they're facing impossibly tough killers then they're as good as dead, and it still ruins the game for the other 3, so I don't see an issue with it. They just need to fix matchmaking

  • and survivors undoing a 2-minute chase by holding a button near you for 2 seconds is a pussy mechanic

  • Swap your hex perk for Lightborn, because with Counterforce also comes closet-crafting flashbangs and gen-kicking blast mines

  • I think the changes should be universal and not based on rank. That said, I had friends play on occasion and they struggle with skill checks as a new player. For this reason I don't think the difficulty of skill checks should be increased by reducing good/great zone sizes.

Now, imagine a surgeon watching TV off to the side while operating and they're able to clamly deal with a surprise complication all without looking back at the patient. I think the camera needs to focus on the generator when a skill check warning pops up, much like the Hag's phantasms pulling the survivor's camera. Hex: Huntress Lullaby messing with and removing the audio warning should also affect this pull (no pull at 5 stacks), as it would mean one less cue to the survivor about the coming skill check and buff the perk.

This change would also help stealthy killers; especially Ghostface who requires being continuously stalked back to interrupt his stalking.

    • Open Handed
    • Visionary
    • Bond
    • Kindred

    ----

See your objectives, your team, and the occasional killer; see them from afar; and see them all at once on maps like The Game

  • Instead of extra perks slots as the power, plus addons, I meant that the two addon slots would become the additional perk slots.

  • My top 3 were Clown, Legion, and then Cannibal.

How does the quiz know that I am weak?

  • I might change mine to the Resurgence perk icon to swap out my "Cry Baby" profile pic for an "Entitled Karen" pic

Yeah, I’ll just jump off the gen I’m currently on, at 5 gens, with Ruin still up, and Hag is at 3 or 4 hooks already, and I’m still not quite sure where traps have been set yet...

and it's not like the Hag has to com all the way back over to collect her disarmed trap to re-arm it or move it either. It goes back into her pool of placeable traps

  • I don't play on console. I get played.

    Dropped frames OP. Plz nerf.

Because Freddy and demo teleport on their own will into a location. Hag traps trigger based on the survivor's mistake

    What mistake?

It's not like the lobby says "Oh, by the way, Hag" on the screen. I don't get into a match with Hag and think to myself "darn, I forgot to bring a flashlight or Urban Evasion... Guess this mistake will cost me the game."

"Oh, I guess I shouldn't have unhooked the survivor. Whether the Hag trapped this hook or not, I have to slowly crouch-walk in, unhook, pray the other survivor also crouches, and slowly crouch-walk 8m away just to stand back up, and-- oops, too late, the Hag's already ran back here. I made a mistake for trying to unhook a teammate while the Hag exists..."

Then make her 115% chase. The camera grab and hook placement is all she can really do. Look at hook spawn. If you made a radius where she couldn't trap around hooks, you could effectively destroy her web in half a map, easily, due to hooks spawning in tiles she requires to control.

You hinder her method of control, then she needs to be able to chase.

Besides one flashlight disables her in anyway, just like toolboxes used to do to Trapper.

The traps would only be disabled near active hooks, not all hooks; and, to prevent Hags from using a loophole to place the traps under the hook before picking up the survivor to hook them, remove any traps within the same range of the hook when a survivor is unhooked.

I think I've seen a suggestion like this before and the way they balanced it is that their add-ons give them different abilities. In fact, what if this killer was a Bioshock splicer and their add-ons, the various ADAM injections give them their powers like wall-climbing, hypnosis, ice blasts, wasps, etc. Seems pretty cool

    That's it!

The devs can choose 20 perks for this killer to equip in the form of Addons.

They can choose two very strong perks to be the Iridescent Addons, 4 weak perks for the Common Addons, etc.

  • Or with the coming UX overhaul, they could add the survivors 4 p3rks to the HUD next to each survivor

  • No because it's a paid DLC.

If I had to grind out 27,000 Iri Shards for 3 new original characters I would be dreading the coming grind, seeing as I just spent a bunch on cosmetics and have very few Shards left

  • That, and what happens if I begin to unhook, use For the People, and then stop unhooking?

For these reasons, the survivor should be able to activate For the People while healing or unhooking, but they have to be fully unhooked for the effects to take place.

If the unhooked survivor has Second Wind it activates first and they are broken and cannot be healed by For the People. For the People does not work and does not injure the survivor trying to use it.

  • Well, it would be weird to have a Legendary Jonathan Byers skin that sounds like Steve Harrington.

Maybe this means that Legendary skins will (eventually) be getting new voices, starting with Jonathan Byers.

  • @Mooks said:

Would be pretty hard to balance I guess.

at the very least there would be some need of work put into how totems work as with more than 4 perks it is possible to have more than 5 hex totems.

Well, addons for toolkits, etc., are disabled as soon as the survivor equips a medkit. They can use the same tech to disable hex perks after 4.

  • I have the charm on my Legion hook, I didn't even use the Legion's power the whole match, yet I still had a Meg (also wearing the charm) running at me with their Endurance from BT when I tried to go for the unhooker, and hiding in a locker to hit me with DS when I tried calling their bluff.

    ######### will still be #########

  • I don't know Morse Code. I don't have time to interpret crouch-spam

  • I like Fire Up, but it's weak AF.

I have to be losing the game just to shave a few frames off of animations

    ----

Buff Fire Up and nerf H:NOED.

If NOED is to really be an anti-gen rush perk, then have it only activate a dull totem once all gens are done within the first 6 mins (or whatever half of the average game length is), and stop screwing over the last survivor by having it activate on hatch close.

An anti-gen rush perk that can activate 12 minutes into the match and can activate with 0 gens completed??

  • Visionary, Windows of Opportunity, Detective's Hunch / Small Game, and Left Behind are 4 great perks for new map releases.

It's very rare that you're able to fully heal from Solidarity without coordination. It does however let the person you healed first heal you in just 8 seconds. If I'm not wrong, don't you get the Altruism BP after you finish healing?

I haven't tested it, but if the other person is only healing you for half the heal bar then surely they only get half as many points.

It's hard to work the point difference into the perk itself.

    • Does Solidarity give double points to anyone who heals you, period? Then what happens if you let someone else heal you the entire health bar just to give away double heal points instead of using Solidarity first?
    • Does Solidarity only award double heal points to the survivor that you have fully healed while using Solidarity? What happens if another survivor is helping you heal? What happens if two survivors heal you after?

  • I pronounce it Fung Mean, not Fang Men

Just wondering with all the characters Resident Evil has do you think it's possible for two killers?

    Possible? Yes.

Would they ever do it? No.

Just look at how much the killer queue slows down when everyone wants to try out just one new killer.

  • Seems they've even buffed Unnerving Presence. The killer doesn't even have to equip it for it to work.

  • If the new killer is S-Tier, and is part of a licensed chapter that will cost money, then the forums will be flooded with "pay-to-win" complaints.

If the devs do not nerf the killer then they will get bad ratings from survivors.

If they do nerf the killer then there will be floods of "bait-and-switch" complaints from killers who paid money for one thing and were given something else and they will give the game bad ratings.

    ----

S-Tier is a lose-lose-lose (for the survivors, killers, and devs)

  • @Saltjar34 said:

I'd love a notification for when others have Solidarity, lets me know if I should let them heal me first

    Yes, and no.

If you know another survivor healing you has Solidarity, you can either let them heal you so they get the benefit of the perk, or you can heal them first knowing you'll miss out on altruism emblem progress and Bloodpoints if you don't.

  • Okay, and Hex: Devour Hope used to notify survivors sooner that they were being affected by it, but it was later changed to keep it a surprise because survivors would swiftly hunt it down and cleanse it before the killer even got to 3 stacks, let alone 5.

Power Struggle (and No Mither) should get the same treatment.

No Mither lets you pick yourself up off the ground as many times as you can before bleeding out, but you start the trial injured, the killer knows you have it, and doesn't slug you. Power Struggle lets you stun the killer with a pallet while being carried and without needing a teammate, only if the killer doesn't know you have it and doesn't immediately pick you up, but stunning the killer tells them you have it and they will immediately pick you up.

    ----

If they do not remove Power Struggle's notification on the killer's end, then they may as well add "Can only be used once per trial" as a stipulation to the Power Struggle perk description.

  • It doesn't matter.

I'm a rank 8 survivor, I spend 10 minutes in queue, I get matched with a Rank 1 killer, I get killed in the first 3 minutes, I'm back in the queue.

  • Breakable walls are not a good addition to the game because they're exactly that: an addition.

They don't make exisitng loops shorter (except for the shack on 1 map). They add to them, making existing loops longer. Killers have to waste precious time breaking them just to return the loops back to normal lengths.

It would be really good paired up with Tinkerer on slow killers too. It sucks when Tinkerer tells you the gen is about to pop but by the time you get there it already was completed.

Tinkerer procs when a gen is 75% complete (when the final piston begins moving). This means the gen has 60 out of 80 charges. The survivors add 1 charge per second. You have 20 seconds if it's only 1 suvivor on the gen.

Run Tinkerer with Discordance and you'll know whether you'll have time to chase them off or not.

  • The Cannibal right behind me with his chainsaw is the scariest thing in the game for me; even moreso than The Hillbilly with his chainsaw.
