"If a generator is regressing, survivors must complete a NORMAL skill check to continue repairing. [...] Repairing progress and regression is paused while the skill check is given."
----
Will this skill check behave like Overcharge's skill check (where a survivor can tap the gen, walk away, and complete the skill check while walking-- y'know... telepathically)? 👻

"Tier 3 rewards killer for playing terribly and punishes survivors for playing well which is why it should be removed."
----
If the survivor was playing well they would have forced a pallet break and reset the killer's Bloodlust.
If there is no pallet then the survivor has been outpositioned/outplayed.
If the killer refuses to break the pallet then infinites become a possibility.

No. This would punish good survivors, punishing skill is the last thing you want to do. If you feel the need to, help the inexperienced players, but don't restrict good players.
Then the devs should remove "skill ceilings" from killers. Why are killers punished for being too good?
-
Sure, but after the Quitters bonus they got no more points from me; they didn't deserve it
-
If this happened more often I wouldn't suspect cheating. It only happened this match, and only while being chased by this killer, and only when I try to interact with an object to extend the chase.
-
I did wiggle free, but I went down shortly after when my game locked up. I had time to recover from Exhaustion on the ground, but my Dead Hard was negated anyway when I tried to escape because, again, the game conveniently locked up in the killer's favor.
I didn't immediately quit after the clip ended
-
The other survivors were pretty much throwing anyway by repeatedly breaking the hook so she couldn't hook me and everyone was eventually slugged after suiciding into her with bodyblocks.
My "PC's" from 2012. Can't upgrade because they're sold out (unless I buy them from scalpers at an absurd price). They ought to remove digital purchases for consoles; a bot cannot walk into a store and buy 20 consoles at once. -_-

Terminator
I want a robotic killer for my turn-off-my-mind-and-M1-chase survivors build. I'm currently using The Executioner for this role because of how he lazily drags his weapon behind him.

It would be nice if the devs considered a way to let us discard Daily Rituals we don't like and have them replaced with a new one. This could be abused, so maybe limit it to only once per day or something. /s

From the thread title I thought you were going to call out the person(s) responsible for Jane's chest physics when walking up stairs with her.
-
It's normal to think that a game with two opposing teams have a winner and a loser, and it's easier to say who won and lost when it's 4 escapes or 4 kills, but less so when it's in between.
If half of all games are lost and half of all games are won with this 4 kill/escape disparity, then it still comes out to the 2 kill/escape ratio, so it wouldn't really contradict the thinking of 4 being normal

@azjerrylee Oh, hey, lol. Glad you saw this. I figured that Blight thought I was hacking or something. Did you quit or were you booted too?

I swore I paused the game to see the Tile Info before pressing the Record Clip button. I think the tile was something along the lines of th33...?

Most killers are already equipped and ready to deal with SWF, even before knowing or checking profiles.
Why do you think solo-q is so miserable?

@Mister_xD said:
thats not an exploit, but why in the world would anyone waste their precious time doing that?
they literally give you a free second chance, that stuff is going to lose them the game pretty damn fast if they keep doing it...
Sure, if that survivor has SWF team members ready to bodyblock and the exits are 99%'d.
Look at how fast the OP went down afterwards.

Ok, so PH forcing tormented by wiggling out is an exploit, but flashlight blinding during animation isn't? When in both scenarios, the affected player had no power over the situation and does not want the action against them to be performed (your VERY DEFINITION of an exploit, btw)? Care to elaborate that discrepancy?
Blinding is part of normal gameplay and game design. Tormenting a survivor by forcing them to wiggle free is an abuse of an unintended oversight

But your plague example is different. The right example would be a plague which lets a survivor escape after she downs him and bc of that the survivor would get fully infected. No plague would do that.
If i am tormented i have the problem that i have no tunnel protection. But for this the killer needs to down me twice. He could just tunnel me and take the ds and it would be the same.
but other survivors are denied stacks of We're Gonna Live Forever. Their We'll Make It won't activate. The survivors are being punished, as they should be for being tormented, but it was not through the intended normal gameplay
-
Camaraderie, hands down. Everytime.
I want this perk because I often end up on the hook and want to help my team out while I'm stuck there; especially against a camper. I like to run it with Kindred and Open Handed, but not once has this perk effectively bought my team time.
- Unsafely unhooked while it still has a lot of time left (80% of the time)
- Left to die on hook because no one came close to my hook (20% of the time)
Both stem from the other survivors having no way of knowing I have it equipped (unless they're staring at my hook timer on the HUD, while they move in to rescue, while dodging the killer, and happen to see a barely noticeable flashing red aura suddenly appear around the timer and not mistake it for me failing a Struggle skillcheck).
It also has to do with Kindred. They either assume that I'm desparate to be unhooked or why else would I use Kindred, or they see the killer near the hook and stay away altogether.

I actually run Lightborn 100% of the time. I often don't even pay attention to the lobbies.
If you ever get a killer who's running like two stupid perks and one of them is Lightborn, that's me. Hi!
I thought I was the only one who does this!
I like to watch vids on the side and don't pay attention to lobbies, so I had to leave Lightborn on all the time
-
Yeah, The Hag is way scummier than The Twins. She can place down several Victors right next to the hook and the survivors cannot "kick" these "Victors" even after crouching to get in close to them... -_-
-
If Struggle points are going to be added back in, then the hatch needs to open for the last survivor as soon as the 3rd survivor's hooked on death-hook, not after a 20 second animation of them being pulled up into the sky.
Tired of being trolled out of a hatch escape because survivors want their 900 points.
-
"Then should flashlight blinding the killer when they destory a pallet or pick someone up (against their will and without anything they can do in this situation) be an exploit as well, right?"
Just stop. You're making yourself look ridiculous here.
-
It allows him to unfairly cage a survivor, disabling hook-related perks. That sounds like more than just a daily ritual to me.
If you're that concerned over a daily ritual then recycle it or ask the devs to change it to "Hit a Survivor x time(s) with the Executioner's ranged Special Attack" (I forget the name of it)

The devil actually deceives you so you commit sins. Not even your methaphors work. Pls just stop, you making yourself totally ridiculous here.
The Executioner didn't trick the OP into running through his Rites of Judgement; he didn't hide it behind a corner or in the tall grass. The Executioner straight up dropped him onto it and forced it.
It would be like the Devil forcing the apple of knowledge into Eve's mouth, not tricking her into eating it.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248793/why-hasnt-the-spirit-been-nerfed-yet
Because theirs no way to nerf Spirit without defeating the purpose of her kit.
Everybody wants some kind of indication about when she's phasing, and that defeats the purpose of her kit.
The purpose of No Mither is to pick yourself up off the ground, yet the killer knows you have it from the very start of the match and will not slug you.
-
Spirit players are just cowards who lack the skill to play Nurse.
It's the equivalent of keys: bypassing part of the game to make it very difficult for the opponent.
Spirit/Nurse: "What are loops?"
Keys: "What are exit gates?"
-
If the Devil (Executioner) can send me to Hell (Cage) if I sin (become tormented) and I am the one who chooses whether I sin or not, then the Devil making me sin is an exploit! I would rather die pure than sin. This unintended oversight highlighted by the OP takes that away from me.
-
They should change it so that moving while standing will cause torment. Then the survivor will still have the option to stand still when wiggled free and crouch walk away.
-

I think you dont understand it. They get only tormented when you wiggle free, so the killer gets stunned (like ds) and they can run away. A myers could do that, too. They could let you wiggle free and then stalk you. Its just a really dumb strategy.
But Shape has to stalk for a while to gain a tier while Executioner only needs them to touch the ground while standing for a brief second to get the full effect. Imagine if Plague could fully infect a survivor by simply puking on them once while they're slugged or hooked.
-
Free Spirit: If you have been hooked twice in a row, Free Spirit activates. While active, your hook aura will not be visible to the killer. During the struggle phase, press the Activate Ability button to teleport to another random hook location at least 40m away.
Wanted to name this perk [Bad Word] Spirit because [Bad Word] the Spirit players who just use their power to warp back to unhooks to tunnel.

Nice straw man.
Of course that would be an exploit / hack, since it's not part of the normal game. Dropping a survivor repeatedly to let them wiggle out is no exploit, but a game mechanic. If they then fall onto a trail, so what? It does not kill you right away, the killer still has to catch you again. Yes then he can cage you, but if he had just hook you he would have been faster. Yes he could kill you with his mini-mori, but again just last-hooking you would be faster. It's just a giant waste of time.
You could argue that letting someone wiggle free only for them to run into a trappers trap would be exploity. But that still would just be wasting time and serve no purpose that you woulnd't have get from the start,
To put it like you did:
What is wrong with your reasoning?
It is an exploit because normally a survivor can choose to become tormented or to avoid it by crouching. This exploit bypasses that. The survivors are being punished for something that is out of their control when the normally they wouldn't.

If survivors hide in lockers all game to deny The Shape any stalk, then he should be allowed to pull them out of the locker, drop them on the ground, and then stalk them??
The Shape's wasting a lot of time by doing this. He just needs to complete his daily for stalking survivors. This must be fair and not an exploit by your logic then.
-
The biggest use of Franklin's Demise is to knock flashlights out of hands.
SWF survivors are the ones who use flashlights the most often.
SWF are on comms and will have someone else rescue the flashlight.

Just use Lightborn instead

What do you mean? He could hook that survivor 5 times already while doing that, is caging it that scenario something OP and much worse than hook?
The clip is only 23 seconds long! How could he hook a survivor 5 times over in that span of time??
What is wrong with this community??
-
@CaulDrohn Oh, okay, so if I stand still as the killer for 5 minutes and then all the survivors fall to the ground when I swing my weapon at the air then that's not an exploit either because I wasted A LOT of time...
What is wrong with this community?
-
This has to be an exploit...
"If the killer drops you then you get more wiggle time..." Wiggle progress doesn't matter if the killer can then cage or kill you right after!
What is wrong with this community??
-
Too much risk to ignore them at endgame, which is why I'm considering Rancor.
Or if I run Forced Penance then at least they can't sandbag as often.
-
Another downside is Better Together being mistaken for Trail of Torment.
This can be countered if you also bring Bond and then gen-tap if you see a survivor scared to approach

so you're saying that killer shouldn't patrol 3 gens because survivors did this situation, also all of the survivors can do one gen and when killer is coming just escape from him (in this 3 gen situation)
A killer can 3-gen from the start of the match regardless.
The survivors can work on the 3 gens not being guarded and then suddenly it's their fault for the 3-gen. (Lmao)
Or they can try to contest the 3 gens and they're still in the same boat of the killer not commiting. Meanwhile the survivors have given the killer an Iridescent Gatekeeper emblem for free! (Lmao)

Well its not like the doctor can down you in ten seconds like spirit can, and lockers do counter him and the perk Calm Spirit hard counters the info part of his power, its just not meta.
and Whispers counters survivors trying to hide and take tha game hostage
-
Until then, which perk is better to counter the obsession bodyblocking: Rancor, Remember Me, or Forced Penance?
-
I try to play 50/50 for each role, but I've found that 95% of my rage quits were from playing survivor (I only play solo queue)
-
and what would be the punishment for the killer not commiting to chases, and instead chosing to do nothing beyond scare survivors off a 3-gen and running back to the gens to do more nothing?
-
So... you tunneled because you're too lazy to look for a new survivor and BBQ didn't hand you your next chase on a silver platter?
-
Use Soldier's Putty addon, throw your hatchets at the first survivor you see, and never reload the rest of the match.
The extra speed catches survivors off guard since they start to evade later than they would an M1 killer. They assume you're slow and that you'll slow down more to throw hatchets.
-
I think the survivors shouldn't start coughing until fully infected. Symptoms of sickness shouldn't be that apparent that soon.
Imagine if just one blast from The Doctor had survivors screaming each second until they finally reached Tier 3 Madness and Snapped Out of It...
-
Can you please keep swear words out of your title? Thanks.

They won't go anywhere.
If they feel any drastic change in their matchups then they will simply cry that the Skill-Based Matchmaking is broken and the devs will disable it again.

Rushing the hook save as soon as the hook is made against Bubba...
B-b-but... the survivors only have sixTEEN seconds to unhook, not sixTY...
Honestly, it comes down to first-come first-serve for unhook points. This is why points should be negatively affected for unsafe unhooks, or at least some punishment that is more palpable and isn't buried in the details of 1 of 4 emblems on 1 of 5 or 6 pages of end-game details.
