No, that is cowardice. Taking the full brunt of the tbags and clicking flashlights is the tough guy route. Leaving the match is just cowardly.
Then why do chess players tip their own king over instead of letting their opponent do it?

I honestly don't see why Killers can't just open the exit gates at any point during the match and are only allowed to once gens get done.
Because killers could abuse that to force survivors to depip and it would be out of the survivors' control.
This is another thing. If you concede, your opponent(s) should be guaranteed to safety pip (black pip). They can have more pip progress if earned in time, but not less than a safety.
If you concede, you get whatever pip progress you get.
-
I don't think a Bloodpoint bonus should be awarded if the other side concedes because this would promote purposefully bullying the other team into submission more often than it already happens.
-
Their lobby prob had all rank 18's in it to start, but one of the survivors dipped.
The others are not removed from the lobby and forced to re-queue; they remain in the lobby and the lobby becomes less strict about who can join it just so that they aren't sitting around forever waiting for a perfect match.
If it's a slow time of day and there's a small pool of survivors queueing to choose from, a heavily mismatched player like yourself will get thrown in.
-
I have noticed improved frame rate... but only with certain killers on certain maps as the last survivor is being sacrificed (fewest number of player models to render possible).
I have also noticed my frame rate dropping to 0.25 (bascially freezing/hiccup) anytime I get within 2m of a survivor and when the survivors use Dead Hard.

Why play Demogorgon when I can play Freddy instead?
- The survivors have to spend 80s closing my portals instead of 10s.
- Survivors close my portals slower when working on it together instead of faster.
- (Here's the biggest slap in the face) I don't have to spend any time setting down portal entrances at the start of the match!
----
Why play Trapper, Hag, or Clown when I can play Freddy instead?
- I can place traps that either slow down survivors or lure them to dead zones where fake pallets are waiting.
- My traps cannot be disarmed (by awake survivors) or be removed with flashlights.
- I do not have to go back to an old trap and collect it if I want to relocate it.
- (Here's the biggest slap in the face) I don't have to stop or slown down to place any traps!
----
Why play any M1 killer, when I can play Freddy instead?
- My hits make survivors vulnerable to my traps and they cannot wake themselves up mid-chase (without Self Care and lucky skillcheck RNG).
- (Here's the kicker) I get free hits because the survivors often misjudge my lunge range due to my short height!
----
Why play The Pig when I can play Freddy instead?
- I get free game slow down if the survivors do not want to be vulnerable to my traps.
- The survivors are vulnerable to my traps unless they go across the map to interact with an alarm.
- The alarm always spawn furthest away from them, instead of being a random macabre device.
----
Why play Wraith when I can play Freddy instead?
- Survivors who are awake cannot see me at long range.
- Survivors who are awake see me intermittently at medium range.
- I do not have to slow down to "uncloak."
----
Why bring Insidious when I can play Freddy instead?
- If the survivor is asleep, then I do not have to play around Borrowed Time when they rescue another from a hook.
- If the survivor waits too long to unhook then they will be asleep and I do not have to play around Borrowed Time.
- If I hit the survivor before they unhook then I do not have to play around Borrowed Time.

I love running lightborn and agitation when I see 2+ flashlights in a lobby. Bait the flashlight save and chase them with agitation - lightborn will give you their aura for like 10 seconds or something, so it's easy to keep track of them, even if you get a quick hook first
Same.
I like to look away from the fashlights to pretend that I don't have Lightborn to better bait them in.
Works better if you play as Demogorgon or Pyramid Head because, if you try to pretend that you don't have Lightborn, you can still break the pallet and the survivor will just chalk up their failed blind to "well, I don't excatly know where his head/eyes are at" and still bait them in later.

It would make it worse because instead of running inferior perk like dead hard it would just insetivise those players to run sprint burst and remove every single dead zone from the map.
Sometimes maps can spawn really dumb setups and they should be addressed but this would completely ignore that....the actual issue...
and make the experience for those players worse....
this suggestion has to be a bait....
Oh, right... That "inferior perk" that I see 75% of survivors using.

I disagree. Killer base speed is faster than survivor. Which means, if you put them side by side on an open road, the Killer is going to win the race. It may be sooner, or later, but the Killer is going to win. Add in obstacles along the road, and it will take the Killer longer to pass up the survivor because they lose time going over or around, but in the end, they will still win the race. Add in an Exhaustion Perk, and yes the survivor gets a 3-second boost speed somewhere along the way (whether it's right the beginning, or further down the road), but unless they stop running altogether, the Killer is still going to eventually win the race because of the difference in base speeds. But the Killer also has Bloodlust - and that's the kicker. Because the longer the Killer chases a survivor, the faster they get. So again, the Killer wins the race.
Bring that into the game environment, and the same holds true unless the survivor can out-think/out-maneuver the Killer enough to stay out of reach.
So if a Killer isn't catching a survivor, it's not because the survivor is simply holding down the run key, and it's most definitely not because they are "playing it safe."
Bloodlust is lost every time the killer has to "pass an obstacle" (break a pallet). Plus the mechanic will be removed eventually anyway

He said that once the gauge depletes, the player is exhausted and has to wait for it to fill again to return to a normal state. He then goes on to state that the reason for this idea would be to put restrictions on the survivor's ability to flee, which he sees as too strong. I don't agree.
If the killer can run infinitely with no restriction, faster than the survivor and with the ability to see the survivor's tracks no less, than the survivor should be able to run infinitely without restriction as well.
So if the killer (the power role) has the power to run forever, then why should the survivor also have the power to do so?
The stamina bar doesn't even stop a survivor from running forever (read the title).
If you ran the killer for 5 minutes without using your exhaustion perk then you obviously don't need it. You bought your team 5 minutes. Congrats. Enough is enough. You shouldn't be allowed to use an exhaustion perk to buy yourself another 5 minutes.

I suggested letting survivors hold shift to crawl faster, but bleed out faster in the process. (Tenacity would let you crawl fast without the bleedout penalty, but if you hold shift while not crawling, you can still choose to bleed out faster.)
Many players responded with "my killer pressure, tho" and "just go AFK for 4 mins."
I went on a slugging spree after that. Any player who messaged me to complain, I directed them to my post where I had suggested it.

SWF can leave me to die. That's fine; and for any reason they please, too.
Just don't have your friends spectate me and tell you which locker I'm hiding in while waiting for hatch because the trial is clearly a wash, only for them to beckon the killer and point at my locker.

I'll only save in that situation if the other survivor is great at stealth and if I have Aftercare equipped.
We can then heal up and repair gens on opposite sides of the map. Aftercare lets us see the other person move off their gen and know it's safe to repair.

id reccomend lobby dodging if you want to have a easier time, tho i rarely do it, i only do it for legacy skins really
Lobby dodging as killer just screws over other killers.
A killer dodges a lobby full of survivors near their own skill (allegedly). The lobby is not closed; the survivors are not forced to re-queue. Instead, the next best available killer is thrown in. If there are not enough killers queueing to offer a good matchup, a heavily-out-matched killer is chosen.
That killer gets stomped, decides to no longer play killer, and the cycle continues.

I get the video is for proving a point, but why does no one point out that the killer is running this loop the wrong way? He always allows the fast vault to happen, instead of running the other way around, where the surv at least has some potential to fail the fast vault. Sure that might not change much, but allowing a fast vault again and again is surely the wrong way.
Right, because that half-second difference in vault speed means that the killer eventually catches up in 40 minutes instead of never. That is infinitely better

The argument boils down to "there should be a stamina gauge that changes the current state of the game for survivors, because it's annoying being looped by them for five minutes, followed by perks that add ANOTHER five minutes.
If you guys are so bothered by the trickiness of chasing survivors for minutes on end, then Instead of adding more clutter to the screen with a new meter and altering gameplay elements for the side you don't like, I offer an alternate suggestion: Stop chasing survivors for minutes on end.
Then whom do we chase when all four survivors have access to "How to loop the killer for 5 gens" tutorials just a YouTube search away?
Oh. We go play Civ.
Enjoy queue times.

What if the power was similar to The Twins?
You disguise yourself as a fake gen and then become a survivor yourself with all of the same actions as them. You repair the fake gen and lure others into helping you. That's when you strike.
You would have to look like survivors from the lobby, but if Claudette sees herself she would automaticaly know, so each survivor sees a random survivor that isn't themself.
----
The counter is simple and effective: split up on gens. This killer would be gen-rushed.
And, again. This wouldn't work aginst SWF.
The SWF team can agree beforehand to perform a secret sequence of actions/emotes to prove they're real before working on gens together.
Wow, SWF really killed this game...
The devil won't let you hang out with your buds in hell. Why should the Entity?? 🤦♂️

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/240075/keep-infinite-running-but-add-stamina-bar
No, thank you. If a Killer is chasing me, I should have the ability to run away - it's not my fault if they continue to chase and refuse to do anything else. I literally just had a match like this - and no, most survivors don't want to spend the entire match in chase. It means we get lousy bloodpoints at the end because we were unable to do anything else.
Then it sounds like your fault. You have the power to stop running, take the down, and take the hook state. Guess what? You got two more hook states left. The killer has stopped chasing you. Now you can be rescued, healed, and back on gens while the killer chases someone else.
If the killer hard camps you it's probably because you wasted so much of their time. Just don't.
If the killer hard camps you regardless then they get punished regardless. You win.
If the killer tunnels you after that then its the devs fault for leaving the heavily-hated mechanic in the game since the start.

I'm just a filthy killer main who only complains about gen speeds and chase times.

Well the fact that you are committing on a survivour for more than a minute can very often lose you the game at that point you really wanna chase someone else
and if that 'someone else' does the same?
and if all 4 are uncatchable?
-
If killers with short chases / high lethality should be looked at for balance (Spirit, Nurse, etc) then why can't the same be said for the opposite reason?
If the chases are too long? "Just drop the chase and chase someone else."
If the 'someone else' is just as good? "Just stand at the exit gates and wait until survivors get bored enough to finish the last gen."
1v1 in a 4v1 game. Pathetic.
Power role. Yeah, for the survivor who has the power to run the killer for 5 minutes. Dead Hard and then run them for 3 more minutes. ON TOP OF needing to be hooked THREE times, but watch out for Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Sabotaging, Bodyblocking, more Dead Hard, insta-heals.
Being unkillable sounds like power to me.
If a survivor can 1v1 a killer then why are they allowed to have teammates. Put them into 1v1's

Bad idea.

Dead Hard is not as powerful as DS.
Decisive Strike stuns the killer long enough for the survivor to get to a pallet, window, or loop. They can then chain into more pallets, windows, and loops from there.
Dead Hard buys the survivor enough distance (and therefore time) to get to a pallet, window, or loop. They can then chain into more pallets, windows, and loops from there.
-
@gendoss said:
I mean if you're a decent survivor and can run the killer for some time before needing to use Dead Hard it will never be used because you'd be exhausted all the time.
and if you're a decent survivor and can run the killer for some time after being unhooked before needing to use Decisive Strike it will never be used because the timer ran out.
This is like giving exhaustion perks a timer. Doesn't have to be 60 seconds.

This IS the reason I run Kindred and when I see a camper I waive others to the gens and we blow through them (with Prove thyself, tool boxes etc) as fast as we can to punish the killer. Maybe then and only then will they stop and play the game. Sorry camping isnt a "tactic" its lazy game play to try and get people to save then down them and you know it so stop making it seem like it is anything other than that. Tunneling and camping will ONLY stop when killers lose enough games that they move on to actual tactics. DBD isnt going to do anything about it ever.
This is the reason that when I see 3 gens done by the time I have my first down, and the last 2 pop when I get my second down, I immeditaley open the gate and face a wall. Gen-rushing will ONLY stop when survivors lose enough pips. DBD isn't going to do anything about it ever because Holding M1 on a gen is boring, so they cannot ever increase game time.

Because he can't just throw a damn knife over a pallet and 1-shot you. If he did that, he should have a damn decay. Read the convo. He doesn't have a range attack.
So survivors should go from injured to healthy if the survivor was injured by a hatchet and the Huntress fails to land a follow-up hit?
-
Since The Ghostface is stronger than The Trickster, can stalk please decay from survivors over time?
Why should Ghostface be allowed to insta-expose me on demand at the end of the match after he 99'd me at the start of the match and I hadn't seen him since??
-
Survivor mains aren't complaining about Trickster because a survivor main thought that removing Huntress humming but making it take 8 hatchets per health state instead of 1 was a fair trade. 🤝
-
I have this problem. Not sure what causes it, but it's usually when I have someone hooked or slugged and I'm chasing away a potential rescuer. Suddenly, they go and res or unhook as if I'm not there, and then no matter how many times I hit them or down them they get right back up. 10s later and I have a disconnect penalty.

@ukenicky said:
Being able to bring a powerful Hex for free would not be healthy.
Hex perks are high risk high reward. An extra, "free" perk slot like this exclusively for a Hex perk removes much of the risk involved in bringing a Hex perk as, part of the risk is in the fact that if it gets cleansed you're out of a perk for the rest of the match which is a pretty big deal with only 4 base slots.
This balancing around SWF idea isn't healthy as it would completely crush poor solo queue players who, contrary to popular belief, matter.
If a 5the perk slot was added on either side it would need to be on both and even then I can't see that ever happening as it could cause too many issues.
Oh, but having the SWF feature is healthy?
The game being unbalanceable because the killer is constantly in limbo between being too strong for solo-q and too weak for SWF is healthy?

"far away from the hook" is different for each killer
