I dont see where it is killer sided. nearly every pallet is safe, two layers. Gen playcements that favor the survivors. Overall a stupid map
I think you mean Gideon's Meat Plant, the SAW map.
Hawkins has practically no safe pallets, and while it has a second layer, it has one pallet which is the weakest in the game.
Gideon more closely resembles what your thinking of.

Ah, yes. The perk that lasts less than 10 seconds at the beginning of the game then does NOTHING for the remainder of it. Good target for a nerf.
-
There's a severe lack of Demo in this post.

Oh. Well is this a good thing or bad thing? And what about other perks like Off The Record, Self Preservation and Bite The Bullet ect?
Whether or not it's good or bad is entirely subjective. I'm not too sure-- But I'd assume they all work the same.
-
If they were to add maps for characters, I'd prefer they add maps to the Killer's that didn't get any maps at all.

Wait so they changed stridor? Idk what were talking about
Grunt of Pain values are now multiplicative rather than additive. Iron Will now trumps Stridor completely.

"dEaR kIlLeR's, If YoU eXpEcT tO wAh WaH"
You are part of the problem.
You are the type of person that enforces the "Us vs Them" problem this game has.
Everyone that doesn't agree with you is a "Toxic killer-main"
I don't even think this game is survivor-sided and I still see the extreme amounts of bias coming from you. People don't have to agree with you. Everyone that disagrees with you isn't a "kIlLeR mAin"
Grow the ######### up.
-
Everyone is playing Killer right now. They get more blood points, as well as more cake.
People might also be playing Killer to avoid being tunneled.
-
Yeah, I'll just make sure to beat Spirit with the power of family next time I play again her.

yea im going to complain every goddamn match i get its always freddy or spirit and he really doesnt have an identity of his own, his power takes no skill whatsover so im of course going to complain, like say a good blight, you see a good blight and he crushes you, you probably go damn he's a good blight. you get crushed by a freddy you think that was undeserved which i think shouldnt happen.
I just don't think Freddy is worth complaining over. Ever since his nerf, I've seen like three. Even if I were to see him, I don't really care. Freddy normally equals boring matches, sure, but they're boring matches I usually survive. I think Freddy is far from broken. Easy to use, sure, but not really broken anymore. I swear his snares don't do anything half the time.
I would love for him to get a rework, but it'll never happen. Not for a long time.
-
Still complaining about Freddy, huh?
-
oh my god you said the sex word
-
I mean, I agree with all of this except very Expensive DLC. The chapters are like four bucks when on sale.
Unless your talking about cosmetics, in which case, eh. It's expensive but not actually required for gameplay, so I don't care.

Lol.
I was going to say the exact same thing, structured the exact same way.
I despise her.
Notable mention to some spirits depending on how they play.
In complete honestly, I would rather go against the sweatiest kinds of Spirits. Ones with really good headsets.
I can't stand Hag.

Haven't had the pleasure (or perhaps the displeasure) of playing on this map yet. But it doesn't look fun.

Oh no, you're right!
Hag.
Thanks for reminding me.

hag,
hag.
hag.
hag.
oh and hag.

Right now, the only way Killer's are penalized is by losing points. The actual developers of Dead By Daylight have stated multiple times they won't make camping ban-able, nor do they consider it too much of a problem. They consider it a necessary evil.
Camping can suck, but it's here to stay.
-
I can't stand this "Killer Community" bullshit. All you are doing is enforcing the Us vs Them stigma that will be thing that ends up killing the game. By acting like the dreadful "KiLlEr MaInS" are all evil and out to get you, you are no better than the people your complaining about. You are part of the biggest problem this game has, trying to split the community.
As for your complaints, sorry, but no. I hate camping and tunnelling as much as the next guy, but according to charts, the game has more players than it ever has. If the game wasn't literally broken for some people, there'd be even more. The game isn't dying.

This is an actual Tony post I agree with.
Why the ######### doesn't he wink at me anymore BHVR?
Why?

how can you update the game graphically while keeping it optimized for 8+ year old consoles?
Do anything at all. This game does not look good enough to be running as badly as it does. Call of Duty games manage to look better and, while they don't run nearly as good as they would on PC, they still RUN.
That is all console players want. To have a game that runs. There is no excuse for the way it currently runs.
-
I've been seeing my fellow Steve's less and less too. It's a tragedy, really.

No you're right. He was tasked of eliminating S.T.A.R.S. members which is just... think of the Police, but as military. His mistake was running into Jill first haha.
But yeah, I guess it would just be a infinite battle
Clearly, the only way to end the battle is with a third, stronger contender.
-
I agree, but don't expect many others too. DS, getting a buff? Heresy!
I was always of the opinion that when DS got nerfed, (which it should have) that it should get buffed in it's anti-tunnel capabilities. I always preferred the "Timer stops while slugged or in chase" buff.

Thing is there are *other strong builds that work on him too. No need to be a copy paste blight
I don't know man. People are gonna run whatever they want. If it has synergy, then there's really no reason to run it.
Do I wish there could be more unique builds? Of course, but people feel like they're guaranteed to lose unless they have the great, all powerful, META.

In resident evil 3 the remake, the Nemesis that DBD uses had to have a specific part of his body vaporized on a cellular level in order to completely kill it. Any other time it would just mutate to match the damaged that it has taken. The worse the damage it took but didn't die, the more resilient it would be
Then I don't really know. Pyramid Head is just a physical manifestation, unkillable until it's done it's job and punished the guilty.
And I don't think Nemesis would even have guilt. It seems to me like he's a mindless drone, with the sole goal of murdering Jill. I might be wrong about that though, just let me know if I am.
If that is the case, Pyramid Head wouldn't even be attracted to Nemesis. If they did fight, I'd figure it'd be an eternity of them just hitting eachother.
-
I mean, what do you want? For people to use weak builds? I hate it too but there isn't really a point in shaming people for running strong builds. People are still gonna do it.
-
Well, I'm not sure. I don't know too much about Nemesis, but I know he does die in RE3. At least I think? Again, I don't know much about RE.
Pyramid Head is more of a Psychological manifestation of Guilt and the need to punish. As others have pointed out, the only one to ever kill him was himself. Itself? I don't know.
I don't think they're really comparable. It'd be like asking who would win against Godzilla vs Cthulhu. One's a giant nuclear lizard that literally gets better after taking a nuke to the face, and the other is a undefinable inter-dimensional being. They aren't at all the same, so it's hard to say.
-
I thought the 'Exposed' effect meant the killer could see me at all times.
I thought Haste sped up my action speed.
There was a short bit when I started where I didn't know how to fast fault.
For the longest time, I had no idea what Hemorrage did.
-
That's just how we do things here at BHVR.
Happy anniversary.

whats shadow dance.
Shadow Dance is a set of add-ons that allow the Wraith to break pallets/gens/walls and vault faster, but only while cloaked. The bonus is pretty ridiculous if I remember correctly.

I've seen quite a few people complaining about Spirit.
In 2018 or so, the game reached one million owners on PC. "Quite a few people" doesn't even begin to approach a statistically significant sample size.
The stats said OoO was fine. Hell, the stats said it was weak. But I think most people recognized the perk as incredibly anti-fun. And it was changed, due to backlash.
As it should. My point was specifically and exclusively about something being weak or strong and what the devs are expected to do when faced with incontrovertible proof that the complainers are wrong.
That's fair, then. In that case, then yes, I suppose I would follow the stats. I just don't believe Spirit falls in that category.
-
I don't think it's some new meta, I think you just got unlucky.

@Orion said:

Are you suggesting her killrate is less than or equal to 50? Because I highly doubt that.
No, I'm saying that when complaints (which come from a minority of players) don't match the data, any rational human being would side with the data. Disparaging the devs for doing so is illogical, to say the least.
I've seen quite a few people complaining about Spirit. And maybe, but stats don't always show issues.

That's not what I asked, though. I asked if you would listen to players or stats if players said that X was unbeatable while the stats showed it had a <=50% winrate.
I think Stats are an incredibly unreliable way to balance things. If she had a less than 50% killrate, I would listen to the stats, but if a large percentage of the player-base also found her incredibly unfun, I'd change her. Both balance and player enjoyment are important.

If players said that X is too strong and unbeatable, but X actually had a <=50% winrate, who would you listen to?
I don't think Spirit is unbeatable. I've beaten her plenty of times. I do think her lack of interaction is a problem.
-
At this point, I think it's just his add-ons that need looked at. I think his base kit is fine, but I can't really look at this from a non biases POV. I know some people really hate him now. I still think he's easy to win against, but that could be because I know how to run a Wraith from playing him so much.
If they do decide to tone anything down about his basekit, it'd likely be his super lunge.
-
I'm starting to wonder if their beloved STATS say she's fine.
-
Yes, Doctor was changed. About a year ago, I think? Maybe a little bit more? Time is starting to melt in my mind. He no longer has to switch stances to use his power, and got a few add-on changes. In all honesty, I consider it a buff. He now has control over when he finds survivors.
-
I mean Oni just ######### punches the wall down, so obviously that one.
I assume Nemesis does something similar, but I actually don't think I've seen his wall breaking animation. If it's him straight up walking through the wall, it'd be Nemesis.
-
What, you don't like holding W and pressing space every 15 seconds with no opportunities for mindgames?
As survivor, you don't like mindlessly throwing down strong pallets because there are no windows?
-
Well I'm a Demo and Wraith main.
So, an absolute to be avoided Chad, I guess.
-
Legion- Fatigue is 3 seconds (add-ons are adjusted, obviously.)
He doesn't lose his power for missing a hit, rather a chunk of his bar and a fatigue, like when a killer misses regularly. Maybe just a little bit shorter.
Hitting an M1 doesn't deplete your power. I seriously don't know why he loses his power at all.
Trickster- I have no idea. Like legit, no idea. Maybe his ricochet knives basekit? Having to do something to get rid of laceration? But not holding M1. That ######### is boring, I can't stand even more M1 holding.

Those buffs are laughable. He was considered one of the if not the worst killer and still was after the adjustments.
Everyone knew that he needed major improvements even in his ptb state and he still got little to nothing.
Never said the buffs were good. Just that BHVR tends to touch a killer once after they come out, then never again for as long as they can.
Again, unless you're Blight.
-
I mean, it's also no fun to have a map full of unsafe pallets. Both safe and unsafe pallets are required for the games balance.
The only map I think it's a genuine problem is The Game.
-
They already gave him a few buffs since his release, so likely not for awhile. BHVR tends to only touch killers after they release, then not touch them for months-even years. And then, after Updates, they don't get touched again for years.
Examples: Before his recent buffs, the last time Wraith got any sort of balance changes was when Spirit came out. Two years ago.
And, of course, poor Billy.
Unless you happen to be Blight, in which case you actually get a lot of updates.
