I refuse to use Small Game out of spite so Counterforce it is for me.

That was because at the time Sony had the lead on the market. They didn't need to do cross play/progression. Let's assume it's true about PSN. I find it a bit odd that they wouldn't try for the Nintendo and Microsoft yet to force Sony's hand.
Also my bad just sounded more like you wanted to defend them. Like a lot of people like too. Especially with how bad DBD is getting.
No, DbD is very ######### right now. I don't know if it's the Devs or whoever's above them, but something needs to change. I genuinely think the game will die if this keeps going on.
Sony just doesn't play nice with others. They never have. They've been getting a little bit better these past few years, but I definitely wouldn't hold it last them to just say "No." To cross-progression. And I don't know enough about Microsoft to have any opinion. I may be wrong, though

Smaller companies are able to do this quite easily. I feel its less of a money issue and more of a "can't be bothered issue or didn't want to pay" the only thing they did cross progression for was basically a near dead platform people even forgot existed.
Please stop making an excuse for a company who barely cares about its consumers. Your looking at a company who couldn't care less about the numerous bugs, crippling performance issues, clown not having a power that works, consoles bricking due to DBD, lies constantly and hasn't kept almost any word they have said. Just recently instead of fixing anything they instead fix cosmetic sets pretend its a license thing. Then people who contacted said companies found out it was nothing to do with them and all BHVR.
I'm not making excuses for a company. BHVR has ######### up a lot recently, but I am stating what I have heard. You don't get to act like you know what I'm doing. I used to play on Console, I know how ######### it is,
I also just know Sony. Sony doesn't play nice with any company, unless they are huge. When Fornite was first getting cross-play, PlayStation wasn't even going to be a part of it until the Internet freaked the ######### out on them. I don't know what the issue is with Microsoft, but I know for a fact Sony very well may be holding them back from PlayStation cross-progression.

Not exactly true. Both of those companies allow much better games to do cross progression.
True in this case. BHVR has stated they want cross-progression, but it is an issue with Microsoft and Sony. It could be a price issue, or something else in Sony's case.
They aren't exactly known to be easiest company to work with.
-
It does, yes. The prime ones I can think of being Dead Hard and Resilience. And I guess Iron Will?

Trapper is NOT a weak killer. I always get 2k or 3k as my boi krampus trapper at red ranks.
I love Trapper. Trapper is my relaxing killer.
Compared to basically every other killer in the game, he has very little going for him. He is no way of form "unfair".
-

SWF is fine and balanced. You cant handle SWF because you are just a bad killer. this is very simple.
Some killers are more unfair than SWF such as blight, nurse, oni, trickster, deathslinger, hag, spirit, clown and trapper
Trapper?
The weakest killer in the game?
Trapper?
-
This is a genuine question. What would he the big loss if NOED was changed? NOED is a anti-fun perk that is useless most of the game. It rewards killers for not defending gens, which is part of their objective (and nobody can change my mind on that).
A killer can play terribly but still get a 4K because the survivors didn't find a single totem. That is the most second chance thing in the game to me. "Oh, you played bad? Here's a free kill." It's the most no effort perk in the game. And no, I'm not a "sUrViVoR mAiN". I play more Killer.
-
I just think healing survivors should count towards it's token growth.
That's literally what the perk does, I don't understand why it doesn't give tokens.
-
I think you're forgetting the game is near unplayable for a lot of people right now. That's gonna affect queue times.
-

But Freddy actually was nerfed because he was unfun for many survivors.
Freddy was nerfed because his kill rates were high.
Other "unfun" killers have not been touched. Like Deathslinger or Clown. Fun clearly isn't a major thing they look at.
-
This does nothing but really add salt to the wound to a killer who lost.
It also makes no sense lore-wise. The Entity punishes the Killer for losing, not the Survivor.

I think survivors getting tunneled and camped as much as they do now-days, need the ability to turn the tables.
This isn't a valid reason. ######### things exist in every multiplayer game.
-
Infinite T3? I can agree is probably a little too powerful.
Judith's Tombstone is complete garbage.
-
Oh good, I didn't see one of these posts today.
-
I used to think Tinkerer was fine. I now realize it's stupid.
I think it's just one for those perks that has to be reworked. Before it's buff, it was basically a "come see this gen get done in your face!" Alarm, but now it can feel incredibly oppressive.
-
You realize it's not up to them whether or not they add cross progression, right? They've been very clear it's up to Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo and Google are probably just easier to work with when it comes to these decisions.
As for MNK Support, I don't know. They've said it's very hard to integrate.
-
When other killers that require multiple hits, (mainly trickster and Plague) don't give the survivor a speed boost, I don't really think it's necessary.
Trickster doesn't grant a speed boost until the Survivor is actually injured, and Plague straight up doesn't give a speed boost.
I don't think Nemesis' tentacle is as hard to hit as people say (even if the hitbox feels a little thin at time) but I don't think this would make him overpowered. He still has a fatigue afterwards.
But, if BHVR takes anything from this, it'd probably be "Nerf Plague"
-
Should've had a better gaming chair.
-
This is a very good post, but the one thing I want to point out is that it's very, very likely only parts of this is the actual Dev's fault. People seem to forget there is probably a whole different team (or just a few people) we never see that make the decisions for the Developers. The Dev team are just a batch of employees, like anyone else.
I'm not saying nothing is their fault, the weird balance choices are no doubt their fault, but when it comes to shoving things no one wanted, like graphical reworks and maybe even breakable walls, it's investors/higher ups. The Dev team is not fully to blame here, and people constantly forget that.
-
That makes literally no sense. Your either projecting your inability to play onto other people, or you are just genuinely a troll. Either way, I'm not gonna waste my time talking to you anymore. Have a good one, generic Survivor main #643.

No you are wrong. Try looping it once and you will see how unsafe it is.
I do loop it. Just fine.
If you are having trouble with Killer Shack, it is entirely your fault.

No I’m good but killers shack is weak.
You are objectively wrong. Most decent Survivors know Killer Shack is a powerful. Only against certain killers is it weakened.
-
@aroell said:
Killers shack is too weak for survivors, needs another window and pallet on both doors.
Oh, I see.
You just don't know how to loop or save pallets.
Shack is an incredibly strong building for Survivors that know how to use it. Which clearly, you don't.

Old Dying light was gives you 25% slown-down for 3 hooks. With new version, catch this bonus = 8 hooks.
If you have 8 hooks you are already winning game or game is near to end. So perk is not good.
Or 1 hook + Mori which is what most people did.
Never said New Dying Light was good, just that it's healthier. Which it is. Healthier perks are overall better for the game.

Luck? More like unluck. These are the only maps survivors have a slight chance of actually surviving.
I have no problem surviving in most maps.
-
I prefer Dead Hard since I can't stand walking around holding a Sprint Burst.
Also, DH for distance is still ridiculously powerful.

Tunnelling is not bad and still in game. So i can not see any different. You just need to kill obsession for make other survivors slow.
But now you need so many hooks for make it effective.
Tunnelling is still in the game, sure, but that doesn't mean it's fun or balanced. Dying Light was one of the most unfun perks in the game, and one of the most no-effort on the side of the killer. Want early game pressure?
Current Dying Light rewards the killer for playing well, rewards for hooks. It may not be good, but it's healthier, which is more important. The only thing I dislike is the Altruism Bonus the Obsession gets.
-
No.
Dying Light wasn't a perfect perk, it enforced tunneling. It isn't good now either, but I massively prefer it now.

And how much do you play on haddonfield and badham a day? I haven’t played on these maps in weeks.
That's literally just RNG. I've had days where I get Badham three or four times in a row. Days where I get Haddonfield twice in a row. And I've had days where I get nothing but MacMillan maps.
That's how RNG works. If you haven't played on those maps, it's literally just luck.

No they aren’t, with the recent map reworks stealth has been heavily nerfed, my p3 Claudette is visible from across the map on autohaven. They removed most pallets too and breakable walls give god windows no point in existing.
I have no issues on most maps, as Survivor. The only one I loathe getting is Hawkins.
And as to your statement that nothing is Survivor sided, that is a bold faced lie. This game is nowhere near as Survivor sided as people say, but Haddonfield and Badham are insanely Survivor sided.
-
Hex perks are just... Dumb. Some would he entirely overpowered if they were a normal perk, like Devour Hope and Ruin, and some would still suck. Blood Favour is the big one. Thrill of the Hunt as well.
I also just doubt BHVR would ever do this. It's rare they rework a staple game mechanic, and considering the announcement of Boon Totems, I doubt Hex Totems will be reworked any time soon.
This game is horror themed Mario Party with how heavily it relies on RNG.
-
I disagree with the notion, as scratch marks supply interesting mind games on the Survivor side, but it doesn't really matter because BHVR will never remove scratch marks. It's just something so basic to the game, and they don't like taking out fundamentals.
-
Nah they're fine. I've been playing a lot of Demo recently, a lot with these add-ons (because I'm addicted to Barb's Glasses.)
They were way better than like a huge amount of his add-ons, and five percent isn't too bad at all.
-
Easy. Whenever I don't see a Survivor camping a pallet and they stun me as Wraith.
Wraith's A̷̧͚̘̖͖̖͒A̶̬͕̻̖͉͒͝Ą̶̝͇̭̑A̸̡͎̙̥̯͍̐̇̊͜A̷̪̱̥͖͗̌̾͝Ã̵͔͔̓͑͝͝͝Ē̸̡̫̲̆Ḡ̶̢̨͕̩͖̌́̃͝H̷̝̬̝̥̟͐̈́H̶̺̹͇̼̃̾ scares the hell out of me when I'm not expecting it.
-
If there was a way to regain tokens, I'd say yes.
Honestly, I think this perk would he pretty decent if you could gain tokens back. Maybe either by being in the killers TR, unhooking. Just something.
-
I use it still. I've actually been able to use it quite a bit too.
Admittedly, I only run it because I don't have Iron Will yet and need something to fill in that perk slot that isn't ######### baby-sitter.
-
As do I.

Part of the problem, but not an explanation. Others have problems too while not recording. At least on PC. On Console it is even more of an issue, but it is common knowledge that the game is not optimized on Console.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2267966#Comment_2267966
Agreed. Another game I played a lot in the past (World of Tanks) had really good support for Low-End PCs. You are able to play this game on a Potato-PC without much issues, while still looking amazing on decent PCs. Like, no comparison to DBD.
(I am also quite sure that the system requirements on Steam are not correct anymore)
A part of me thinks it's the investors, higher-ups, whatever you wanna call them that enforce this. I've seen in a lot of cases where investors just cared about how the game looked rather than how it played or performed.

I'm genuinely starting to wonder if they can.
I like to think that the Devs want to. Maybe it's the investors that just don't care, or they just can't figure it out. But I like to think that they want to.
Who knows, maybe I'm just being optimistic.
-
I thought I had already commented on this. Damn you ADD.
Yeah, back before I bought my PC (and back before my PS4 just died) I was genuinely considering just quitting the game because it was so unpleasant to play. I can't count how many times I lost a chase to a random game stutter.
Nowadays, I have a GTX 1650 Super. It's nothing amazing, but it can handle other, much more graphically intensive games just fine. Yet, I'll still get random frame drops (always in the middle of a match for some reason) and the occasional stutter.
Come on BHVR. You can be better than this.
-
You'd think with how much of the player-base is either on console or lower to medium-end hardware, BHVR would care more.
As a former console player, I understand your pain.
-
Runnin' around at the speed of sound.
-
Blight is a good killer and got some fixes recently. He's more fun to play now that he isn't a foot tall.
As for pig, wells uh... Yeah, no clue.
-
Silent Hill Chapter was not $60, the Silent Hill edition of DbD was. If I remember correctly, Silent Hill was the regular price- Around $7.99 USD.
But, Resident Evil will have three characters, like The Stranger Things chapter. So it will probably be $11.99 USD like the Stranger Things chapter.
-
Our Ghostface doesn't really have a reason to hate Sidney. He doesn't know her. He'd probably just stalk, and attempt to murder her-- As is his usual MO.
Knowing Sidney though, she'd probably escape. Just escaping could be enough, the Ghostface we have is extremely narcissistic and the knowledge that he failed in killing her would maybe be enough to make him hate her.

Knew it was you before I even clicked on it, Sluzzo.

No, it's just your ping. Prolly just your internet being wonky, or the servers being wonky.
-
I literally can't answer this subjectively, since I'm very biased towards Wraith. I've mained him for the past three years (with my co-mains switching between Ghostface, Oni, and now Demo). But I'll try.
I think he's fine, mostly. I think he has some add-on problems, All-Seeing Blood is ridiculous now, and Coxcombed takes away his only tell. I can see why people have a problem with the lunge, even though I've never had issues with it. But that's probably because I know how to play against Wraith because I play him so much. But like I said, I'm biased towards Wraith, and I will admit that. I also understand not liking the Hit and Run playstyle. I personally don't play like that much, unless I'm basically forced too. I prefer a more aggressive style of play.
The one complaint I don't get is that he destroys short loops, which while true... He could do that before, and so can a decent portion of the Killer-cast. Doctor and Clown shut down short loops completely, if it's short enough Trickster, Huntress, and Slinger can just shoot over them. That is the only complaint I don't get. Long loops still destroy Wraith if you play well enough.
If BHVR decided to tone him down, I wouldn't be angry really. All I want is for them to just make it so he's not add-on dependent again.
-
From a technical standpoint, they have no reason to. It's not broken (well it is, but not literally).
They only disable maps when the map is literally broken. Not When it's unbalanced. When there's a portion of the map a killer can't enter for whatever reason. Like Haddonfield isn't fun, but it works.
