  • Hex third seal:

Survivors that are affected see hex totems as dull totems

Survivors that are blinded can't see whose injured or hooked, etc in the hud, and notifications when people are hooked (the big bubble) are gone

Wouldn't have to implement both changes they are just ideas

  • I just reread the original post after posting my comment, and i really don't understand how people cna be this slow. Seriously "the devs must be survivor mains" 😂 You're honestly killing me here (pun very much intended). The devs don't want which ever role they play to be easier LOL where on earth are your parents. They want what's best for the game, which they do not know at all, but that doesn't make what you said any less stupid. I mean literally you said survivors don't even get punished for getting caught. LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN... THEY GOT CAUGHT... THE PUNISHMENT GOES WITHOUT SAYING. Seriously this is what to expect from a Bubba main. I do think that SOME killers are very weak, but these bold statements are what give us stupid changes that no one wants. Shut up and let the adults do the talking

  • Literally i have 1250 hours on the game, i play both roles, killer is easy if you know what you're doing. Sure, there are quite a lot of bad killers such as leather face and Freddy, and i never play them. But billy, spirit, nurse, trapper, hag, huntress are all good and fun, and others like doctor, pig, clown and dyers can still be legible. Honestly i find it very easy as killer and it's actually boring as there's little challenge when im playing my mains. When i play survivor i laugh at the idiocy of some of the people im up against, and then here they appear on the forums crying op. Seriously get good and stop blighting the community with your low IQ

  • I'm losing faith. There has NEVER been a good payed dlc except for spirit, and even she was trash on release. I love this game, but i don't understand how the devs never learn form their mistakes. The most fun / best killers are the free ones. The best / most fun perks are mostly free as well (other than bbq and ruin). Seriously it actually angers me how we see such little worth while content added to this game

  • I feel like break down should permanently break the hook you were on (unless they have hangman's trick). I guess it could be OP with SWF, but something could just be implicated such as a limit to how many can be permanently broken

  • As a person who plays both sides ALOT, i disagree alot. I believe survivor is more relaxed, but killers can still have fun, as i'm always nodding and hitting walls and stuff to acknowledge a survivors stupid mistake etc. Too many killers don't do this.

Also, don't blame the survivors really, blame the lack of balance. Addons for both sides can be too strong. They should be about changing up the ability / item, not making it stronger. It's not fun to play against insta heals (and back in the day insta flashlights), just as it's not fun to play against addons such as those nasty ones you have (on top of noed by the way not that i'm gonna stop you from playing how you like).

The main difference is, if a survivor is scummy, killers can get their own back by camping, but if killers are scummy, all survivors can do is keep playing or leave, and they'd rather save time and take the latter option.

The irony is, many complained killer was too weak for ages, and whilst they were right in a sense, killers such as nurse, billy, and spirit are not, and many addons can make weak killers such as clown madly OP. The problem is addons, offering and perks can change a terrible killer to a great one, making it incredibly difficult to balance, as they will either be too strong, and cause people to DC, or will be too weak, and no fun to play

  • I agree with every single point you make accept for your overall one, as the nurse is OP, and nothing else you said argued against that

  • As killer it's more about knowing i did well. If i get a 2k against a SWF team then i'l be happy, but against a bunch of rank 20's id probs be very sad.

As for survivor purely depends again on how well i think i've done. If i die early on i'l be very annoyed

  • i agree something could be done but not like this

  • @PolarBear said:

@No_Cluie_Louis Do you have any sources to back up your claim?

I cant remember who made the videos i watched, i just remember people testing in KYF lobby with low ping. Yes it is mostly due to ping, but it;s also due to the fact that all killers have different weapons, yet the hitboxes don't match the weapons perfectly always, resulting in very odd hits / misses

  • I do want to keep in the open mind because we haven't actually seen it officially test it out yet so we just basically judging this on what we can see on paper rather than applying it ourselves.

It's more for people failing skill checks, but that rarely happens at high ranks anyway. The perk might be good with lulluby

  • @Bongbingbing said:

I don't know, having three different powers would make him overly complicated and without a doubt they'd give him a lot of restrictions to compensate.

Waking up seems pretty easy now with not only any failed skill check waking you up but also those clocks spread around. My guess is survivors will just wait out the 60 seconds and get ready to wake up anytime they're about to fall asleep.

I think the main focus should be on the Gen teleport, If they put too much power into the dream traps and pallets and survivors can easily just counter it by waking up every minute then he'd be in a pretty weak spot.

No because they said it's much harder to get a skillcheck

  • Honestly i never liked the long loops anyway, so i see this as more loops i actually like. I nice buff / QOL change if you ask me

  • @Horror_Gaming said:

Also I would love a red add on where if your asleep. Then every now and then a fake Freddy pops out and slowly walks towards you but then also bursts into blood. That would be scary awesy

All this blood has gotten me slightly worried about your mental state 😅

  • @Blueberry said:

Well we still don't even really know what the benefit is to Freddy for having survivors asleep. I don't see why a lullaby is better than a TR when you're asleep. Both are non directional.

All they mentioned was more susceptibility to the dream snares and dream pallets while asleep but no specifics.

We do know the benefits. Fake pallets and dream snares only affect survivors asleep, and we still don't know which of the old elements are being kept

Edit: by this i mean he might still be able to see people through walls, but also you have to remember sleep is passive now, so essentially his ability just gets stronger over time unless survivors do alternate objectives to counteract it

  • This is relatable. It's like the toxicity in the game is rising at an exponential rate, probably because toxicity makes more toxicity

  • @JFF said:

    • Freddy seems too complex and probably isn't going to do much against decent survivors. I personally like the current Freddy, he just needs few tweaks and he would be ok.
    • Regarding map reworks, instead of reworking Haddonfield or The game maps they chose to rework my favorite map pre-school, which isn't definitely in the worst state right now.
    • Battlepass doesn't really belong in horror survival game, but since they chose to to copy business model of popular games, rather than keep being unique what can we do..
    • I'm not even excited for Ghostface anymore. He's not the character from the movie franchise, which everyone was asking for. They instead decided to get license for the mask from a company that makes costumes.. Maybe they couldn't get license to movie franchise, but still this is such a disappointment.
    • Archives is the only thing I like about upcoming content, we will finally get more lore and find out more info about specific characters.

Yeh but just because you like the current Freddy, doesn't mean the vast majority should have to live with something they despised. I understand everyone plays differently but its important for the devs to please the majority and not a few people

  • Also with the new micro sleep mechanic, has anyone considered the new possible strength of tinkerer on Freddy?

  • @ClogWench said:

It's not hitboxes it's latency. It'll be worked out with dedicated servers. Calm yourself.

It's hitboxes too. Not just latency, people have done research

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

I'd say the gen blocker one is going to be meta depending on the cooldown (I mean it's almost on par with BBQ) the Obsession perk is going to be usable in specific builds but not otherwise and his new perk is only going to be useful if you are using the obsession perk and even then only kinda.

How is the gen blocker one useful. It's just a much worse version of bbq

  • The obsession perk is good? It's the perk that blocks the gens that's the most useless, and that's the one you've neglected to mention. The All Ears perk will actually be very strong against worse survivors, who will most likely try and hide after failing a skill check, giving you a free hit

  • Though i don't agree with everything you say, i totally agree, as someone who plays both roles. Far too many killers don't see it from the survivors point of view, and their complaining is often misinformed. Honestly i don't believe people who don't play both roles should be entitled to an opinion

  • Or they could just balance the killers

  • I love it on both sides, though i still think noed is too strong with it

  • @DarkWo1f997 said:

I don’t see an issue with the very thing that makes nurses calling so effective. It’s a perfect 1:1 balance. Leave it I say.

? I think you misundertsood, this wasn't a suggestion for a buff, in fact you proved my exact point that by using it you're buffing a meta perk

  • Firstly, stealth killers are the worst killers. Secondly, hex totems are the strongest perks, but i believe rather than nerfing them, all other perks should be brought to their level. Yes tunnelling (going for the unhooked survivor) will always be stupid but no one wants it removed as bad killers need to do it to get any kills. Also yes some killers like nurse and billy are OP, when compared to killers like the pig and freddy. I believe the killers need to be balanced before people complain wether all killers are too weak or too strong

  • almost certainly

  • She's still relatively new so alot of people don't have meta perks on her yet. You cant trust the kill rate of a new killer

  • No one wants this. If legacy came back, everyone would have it, and therefore it would no longer be special

  • @Coriander said:

Yeah Botany never used to work with SC, but now that it does it's worth taking if you pair them. I stopped using SC as a crutch and then they nerfed healing, rendering it useless. I'm serious, between the nerf, Legion, Plague, and Resilience, why on earth would I want to heal? It takes a full minute with killers running Butcher, Thana, Phobia, etc. I can just blitz a gen instead. Which has led to the genrush meta. It sucks for both sides.

*^ meant Thana & the clown phobia perks

This essentially sums up how i feel about the perk

  • @thesuicidefox said:

I have been running it this month because I can't rely on others to heal me all the time when solo and because I don't want to use up medkits.

I play solo survivor and haven't dared touch the perk since the healing nerf. it was that that made me realise the 16 seconds extra i waste healing myself i could be doing so much more

  • spirit was the only dlc killer i liked. I have every DLC in the game, and the killers i main are trapper, nurse, billy, huntress, and spirit. Thats like £30 wasted

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

So in that case it wouldn't apply 🙂 similarly to how hemmorage is also applied by the same perk until healed. It wouldn't counter sloppy but it would counter other things

But then wouldn't that mean it only counters certain killers, as it wouldn't affect nurse or billy (no one runs the mangled billy addon), and whoever else

  • I play both, but killer is easier and more relaxed. You're the one in control, and aren't subject to bad teammates / camping or tunnelling killers

  • For your metal of man one, i agree it needs a nerf, and i have seen a very similar nerf concept suggested, however i think yours is too extreme. It would be better if when you took a hit for a team mate, you got a token. On 2 tokens, then next hit taken for a team mate is absorbed (doesn't count). This way it encourages taking hits and not prolonging chases

  • Yhe but unless you play Freddy, it';s very hard to get less than 2 kills

  • I'm saying this as a survivor main too. I will play killer for a ritual and I get so much salt at the end it's ridiculous.

Lol, welcome to the DBD community, where survivors and killers alike battle not to win, but to ruin the other persons day, their hopes, their dreams, and maybe their chance at passing their exams, as they ceaselessly play on, searching for that one none toxic game

  • This post, is incorrect

  • @AsheruSwiftwind said:

No no a much more balanced perk would be:

    To the Hook with You.

This perk starts a random survivor on the hook isolated from all other survivors right next to the killer. If the player is removed from the hook they are exposed the rest of the game as the Entity is being denied the ability to give said survivor cupcakes once they are sacrificed, and everyone knows the Nea... Entity loves to give survivors cupcakes.

Might be a little underpowered? Maybe instead when the survivor is saved, all survivors except that one are exposed for the entire match.

    Other suggestions are:

    *Killer can fly

*Killer can convince nea to help her kill everyone

*when you fail skill checks the generator eats you because it's loud and you woke him up at 3 oclock in the damn morning when he was out drinking the night before

  • Clown - boring

    Pig - useless

    wraith - useless

Hag - so toxic that no one finds it fun

    Freddy - useless and boring

  • This is so true, and so painful

True true! I was thinking the only ones that auto work are the low tier ones, being sort of a "passive set" but being able to control the higher tier ones and having an activation time would make them more balanced :)

The problem with passive ones, is the most common cause of the status affect mangled is sloppy butcher, which doesn't go away over time, it only goes when your healed

  • @Coder said:

@No_Cluie_Louis I do it all the time. Maybe you don't know how to do it?

AS @Poweas said, you may be on console as on pc, the weapon usually locks to the survivor, however good at it you are. This isn't just me, many pro survivors have confirmed that 360ing is near impossible now unless against very poor killers

  • By the way @Maelstrom10 i just edited my original reply with some other suggestions, dunno what you think

  • I actually quite like this idea, it would be nice to have some new items. Some of them are obviously a bit unbalanced, but the main concepts are great.

EDIT: I would suggest that rather than addons being destroyed on use, you instead have the 'use' button to control the the usage of the amulet, so you actually have a chance of escaping with it. For example, the ultra rare exhaustion addon could allow you to click the 'use' button, and take a given number of seconds of the exhaustion timer, at a cost of charges. Similarly, you could click the use button to remove any status affect similarly. There could even be an animation to do it, in order to prevent people using it quickly mid chase to remove exhaustion

  • Something similar happened to me, but as survivor. Once after a match where i got face camped, the killer told me it was because it was using DS (which yes he obviously would have known). However, we got into an argument and he said he was 'cleansing the world of toxic survivors that run meta perks'. I said i don't usually run the meta perks, then he proceeded to tell me what perks i've been using in the past few days (they were meta perks as i'd been tunnelled alot in that event that was on so i wanted a fighting chance). I still to this day have no idea how he checked exactly what perks i'd been running, but i'm assuming it's something to do with steam.

  • Lol i mean at least your not just saying run the worst addons + ebony mori + face camp everyone

  • 360'ing doesn't work anymore, so no one would ever use this perk lol

  • @Fab said:

So I can't complain if I have bad ping and leave the lobby? Nice.

That's not lobby dodging, lobby dodging is done by killers

  • to be honest i feel like i see barely any nurses in red ranks, and i prefer the higher ranks for survivor as at least my team mates don't suck

1 2 3 4 5 … 16
