New Killer Perk: Decisive Hit!

Killer's progress is everything, every hit and down is important and could cost you the match, so how about a crutch perk for killer?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Decisive Hit:

The entity is fed up with all those dodgy 360 survivors and wants to help you.

-For every 3 swings you miss at a range of 5 mts from a survivor, the entity will automatically hit him, putting the survivor on injuried or dying state (depending on his previous state).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think it will be a balanced perk.

What? sounds crazy? Check out these dev's pitches for survivor perks:

-Dead Hard: Did the killer mindgame you? Did you f*cked up the loop? are you about to go down? Don't worry, just push a button and you'll avoid the hit and/or make it to the next pallet. We're not here to reward the killer for doing everything right, we're here to reward YOU instead for f*cking it up!

-Old DS: Did the killer catch you? Did he do his job and you didn't? are you a bad loser and don't want to accept that you lost the chase? DON'T WORRY! we're here to reward you instead of him! just hit this skillcheck and you'll go free, you'll destroy his momentum and self esteem at the same time! Because... f*ck killer progress! Don't worry, we won't rework it for like... 2 years, and then we'll replace it with pay-to-win mettle of man, so enjoy your crutch!

-Adrenaline: Do you want to destroy the killer's momentum and self esteem AGAIN? Is the killer chasing you on the last gen? don't worry, he should have tunneled you sooner instead of being nice and 2-hook everyone, when all the gens are done, you'll heal up and get a free sprint burst. We were also going to automatically open the gates for you, but it would have been too obvious that this game is survivor-sided (like, remember the times of double pallets, pallet vacuum, exhaustion regen, old DS and BT double protection? we almost got away with those, but we had to nerf 'em or you woulnd't have any killers left to bully, except maybe for a few nurses and you're scared of nurses, aren't you?).

-Sprint Burst: Are you tired of those sneaky wraiths, myers, pigs and freddys? and well, basically any killer who interrupts your EXTREMELY HARD task of holding M1 on a generator? don't worry! you'll avoid the first hit by running a lot faster than them to the next pallet. Imagine if you didn't have this, the killer may have hit you and he'd have progressed in the game! God forbid killer progress!

-Mettle of man. Oh boy... OH BOY!!! We really put some effort in this one! Are you about to go down for the second time against those pesky M1 killers? Do you miss the old DS feeling of sh*tting on the killer's progress? We got you bro... YOU WON'T GO DOWN. A get out of jail for free card to reward you for doing nothing (except going down) and punish the killer for actually doing his job. YOU. ARE. WELCOME.

-Lithe: Did you find a window?? You're a pro player mate, here's a free sprint burst.

-Balanced Landing: Did you find a hill?? Oh man, you're a next level player, here's your reward, no fall stun and a free sprint burst.

What do you think about these pitches?

----------------------------------

Bonus track: Before those annoying killer mains complain about adrenaline, this is a genuine reward, because the survivors did their objectives, so they actually played the game and held M1 for a few minutes. We enternained the idea of a counter-perk for killer, like when the killer killed the third survivor (you know... doing his objectives), the fourth one would automatically go on a hook, but it lasted 2 seconds until we all burst into laughter and came up with the hatch so the last survivor would escape for free.

Because survivors should be rewarded for actually doing what they're supposed to do, but killers shouldn't.

Comments

  • +1, want it.

  • Yes, me too!!!

It's time we get a true crutch perk as well, that has no counter :)

  • Seeing Sprint Burst on this list shows how serious someone should take your opinions.

  • 360'ing doesn't work anymore, so no one would ever use this perk lol

  • @No_Cluie_Louis I do it all the time. Maybe you don't know how to do it?

  • @Coder said:

@No_Cluie_Louis I do it all the time. Maybe you don't know how to do it?

    You are probably on console.

This idea would help console killers a lot, considering that they have bad FPS so they can't get a hit. I support this a lot.

  • @Poweas Me? I'm a PC player.

  • @Coder said:

@No_Cluie_Louis I do it all the time. Maybe you don't know how to do it?

AS @Poweas said, you may be on console as on pc, the weapon usually locks to the survivor, however good at it you are. This isn't just me, many pro survivors have confirmed that 360ing is near impossible now unless against very poor killers

  • No no a much more balanced perk would be:

    To the Hook with You.

This perk starts a random survivor on the hook isolated from all other survivors right next to the killer. If the player is removed from the hook they are exposed the rest of the game as the Entity is being denied the ability to give said survivor cupcakes once they are sacrificed, and everyone knows the Nea... Entity loves to give survivors cupcakes.

  • @AsheruSwiftwind my perk and your perk would make a great combo. <3

  • Perhaps a perk that gives an increased lunge range at the cost of longer missed hit cool down.

Might be a little underpowered? Maybe instead when the survivor is saved, all survivors except that one are exposed for the entire match.

    Other suggestions are:

    *Killer can fly

*Killer can convince nea to help her kill everyone

*when you fail skill checks the generator eats you because it's loud and you woke him up at 3 oclock in the damn morning when he was out drinking the night before

  • The Killer Crutch:

Tired of all those survivor perks that punish you for doing your job? Check out this crutch! While walking, you use a crutch to get 5/10/15% movement speed. Every 3/4/5 times a generator is completed, a random survivor is put into the dying state, yells loud enough to give you a map wide notification, and you gain 100% movement speed when moving towards them. 4 survivors may sacrifice themselves to disable this perk.

  • It was all fun and games until you could see sprint burst on this list

  • @Hoodedfengm1n I used to run Sprint Burst, crutch as hell, mainly against wraiths that would otherwise hit me while I was doing a gen.

  • Killer's progress is everything, every hit and down is important and could cost you the match, so how about a crutch perk for killer?

    Wait what?

THIS ALREADY EXIST! The lag :)

And we have one for the windows.

  • @Coder Yeah, but that is possibly considered the worst exhaust perk, also you can bait dead hard really hard

  • @Hoodied said:

Ooooh. Good idea. Mirror sprint burst. Killers start the chase in blood lust two. Once a survivor is downed, they are slowed 5/4/3% for 30/20/10 seconds.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n The list is so ridiculous I can't even with the OP.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n The worst exhaustion perk is by far, lithe. Sprint burst is better because you activate it when you want. This is why you see more sprint bursts than lithes on survivor builds.

I'll go with (from strongest to weakest): AD, DH, BL, SB, Lithe.

Also, if you don't think Sprint Burst is good, trust me, you're not using it correctly, I removed it from my build because I thought it was too of a crutch.

  • @thrawn3054 I know, I even know the counters to every single perk on there

Dead hard-Walk up close in range if you believe they have it, they use it, swing and down them, if not, quick lunge

Old DS:Only had some soft counters and luck, Enduring and dribbling avoided the perk sometimes

Adrenaline: This perk has a counter part already that every survivor complains about, its called NoEd

Sprint burst: Literally walk or not swing thats how unviable this perk is

Mettle of Man: This is where I expect some hate, this perk is meant to tank a hit, now going off-topic, what do you do if there is a sniper or LMG user in shooters, make them waste time or simply take there power away, simply making them use mettle early in the game before endgame happens you can waste mettle, and leave them exposed for a bigger threat, which is why I play ash without mettle

  • @Coder Back when rank 1 existed for survivors, I ran it a couple times, every killer did not swing at it, wraiths would fake it out, pigs the same, Lithe is actually a very strong perk, depending on when you use it now, you can literally kill a chase as survivor and if you are near an exit that is open, simply vault the nearest vault and you are a mile away, even with the changes you can destroy with this perk, and if you do not understand that, then I dunno how long you have played this game

  • @Hoodedfengm1n Dead Hard doesn't always have a counter. I mean, if you're in open field, you bait it and that's it, but sometimes survs use it when thet fell short on a loop to get to a pallet. Not really a counter for that, and it's a punishment for the killer, who would, otherwise, catch the guy and hook him. But nope... he's still looping!

  • @Coder Swing through it still and you will ping the pallet

  • @Hoodedfengm1n Pretty much my thoughts. Mettle is the only one that I'd say doesn't really have a proper counter.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n that doesn't always work, it depends on the distance to the pallet. I always swing through, I use enduring.

About lithe, what you're describing is TOO situational. If you're just talking about situations, every perk seems strong, even poised or deja vu sound strong if you describe the situation.

Sprint burst is a general purpose perk, as is dead hard. You can use SB almost every time to avoid the first hit and get to a safe pallet or a window, DH helps you avoid the second hit. Lithe is a situational perk, that's why is not as strong as the other two.

It's not just me, just play some 20 matches and write down how many SB, DH and lithe you see.

  • @thrawn3054 I am aware, but this is as close as we get, unless you do what someone stated in one of my ######### posts, stating if you trap someone, just tickle them with your blade and they will activate there power

Okay, already have the numbers since I have 1000+ hours, about 20-30 SB, Uncountable amount of Dead Hard, and like 70 Lithe, btw 60% of the numbers on here are 1.9.7

  • This is a terrible idea.

  • @ReikoMori please elaborate.

  • Hmmm It wouldn't even be that strong of a perk to be honest, Good maybe useful on console but Nowhere near DS/MoM level.

If you want something as strong as MoM for killers It'd have to be an Insta down on the next hit of a survivor in the healthy state after already hitting them 3 times.

  • Why make it after 3 missed swings? One missed swing is plenty. Ever hit should connect with a survivor.

In fact, the killer should just be able to pick up a survivor and Mori them from the start of the game.

    Still think ds is op?

    Are you in 2016?

  • Killer's progress is everything, every hit and down is important and could cost you the match, so how about a crutch perk for killer?

Looks like a SWF destroyed you, and you got salty, #feelsgoodman

1 DEAD HARD: JUST WAIT AND BAIT THE SURVIVOR

    2 SPRINT BURST: ...

I just can't continue your thread is so cringey

  • I'm a killer main and there's already a Crutch Perk and it's called NOED.

I want it removed because it makes bad killers even worse that tend to rely on a whole perk to save their game but who am I do judge.

  • @Coder: Did you ever think about why survivors have such perks? I think you didnt and thats the problem.

  • Only survivors get to have fun.

NOED is a strategical perk. It either forces the survivors to slow down the genrush to cleanse some totems or suffer the exposed status until they cleanse the totem or escape.

To think NOED is a crutch just shows how less you understand the game.

MoM is a Crutch perk, it requires no skill at all to use it, just get hit 3 times with m1. On most killers no problem and others can be bodyblocked. That would force them to hit you with m1 or drop the carried survivor. And no, face camping the first hook is not a good counter to MoM.

  • @Arroz cringey... yet here you are, your third contribution to this thread. Thanks for being part of it.

  • @Cymer exactly what I think. I don't use NOED on any of my killers, but I think it's a balanced perk, since it has a lot of counter (either before or after it's activated). The thing is that survivors don't like to do all 5 totems, they just want to gen rush and leave.

Adrenaline has 0 counter (if you don't count NOED) you just chase the survivor, and you have to see him magically heal up and fly away.

  • @Coder said:

    No problem! :)

@Coder I disagree, Lithe is joint strongest by far. With balanced. Killers cannot bypass Lithe, because they have to walk around the wall which gives the survivor a minimum of 4m extra. Moving at 6m/s for 3 seconds, which makes 12 and adding the four the killer sacrifices gives you 16m. Killers more at 4.6m/s in 3 seconds, they cover 13.8m. But, you take away that 4m that they had to use to go around the window, and you got killers moving at 9.8m/s.

You ultimately gain a 6.2m advantage using Lithe compared to the mere 2.2 with Sprint burst. That makes it far stronger than most exhaustion perks. Especially Dead hard.

For me it's Balanced landing/Lithe, Sprint burst, Dead hard and Head on.

    I don't consider Adrenaline one.

  • @Poweas again, you guys are talking about a situational perk. IF YOU HAVE A WINDOW CLOSE, it's a good perk. You can activate sprint burst whenever you want, even if you're in the basement (just being unhooked, so you have the exhaustion gone) or in the middle of the map, or in a map with few windows. Granted, there are windows on most maps, but let's say, The Game, where there are literally 3 or 4 windows, it's almost useless. It's really useful if you've just been unhooked and you hear the hearbeat of the killer coming back. You can also rush and save (sprint burst and borrowed time) against a camper killer (I've done it many, many times). You can leave the generator you just finished with a sprint burst if you want, you can sprint burst to the next pallet or window if the killer is going to your gen... anyways, there are countless situations for sprint burst, while you could just activate lithe only when a window is near.

Also on maps like The Game is almost useless, while SB is useful on every single map no matter the layout of the map, and no matter where you are in the map. It's a general purpose perk, while lithe is a situational perk.
