  • The way I see it, it doesn't matter how good or not he isn't. There's a reason no one plays him anymore.

Really depresses me, I loved facing Billy's. I can't really blame nobody for playing him now tho.

  • I usually tell them in the end game chat this.."omg Hacker-chan you're such a sussy baka UwU". This distracts him.

I'll flatter him with my right hand and write reports with my left. I'll take a blood point... and eat it!

    I'll_Take_a_Potato_Chip_and_EAT_IT_banner.jpg

After my extensive thought out plan, I can assure you, they're banned for life.

To be kind of blunt, you have to actually chase survivors

I get you have a good defense setup but if you're just going to hug all three generators the entire time and make no move to actually leave them, there's not a whole lot the three survivors can do. I've had games like that as a survivor where the killer flat out REFUSED to leave the area at all, only venturing out far enough to try to swing at the survivor before retreating right back into their zone.

I wasn't a SWF but we ended up literally just having two people go in on two different gens while one person setup a damn nursing station (Thanks CoH! :D). Killer would hit one of us and we'd run back to our nursing station to be healed and just very very very very very very very very very very slowly chipping away at the gens until the killer was forced to actually try to chase someone as it was just a battle of attrition at that point.

What this guy said, in essence you're both holding the game hostage for yourselves. You can't expect survs to dangerously throw themselves at you and your gens just to die. And they shouldn't expect you to leave your three gen. So really something has to give bc you're both at fault while also not being at fault. If that makes any sense lol

Heres what I tend to do tho since I don't like games that take forever, I'll look for a bit then maybe afk and watch yt and let them leave bc screw it it isn't worth it. If I'm a survivor I'll try my best to pump out that last gen or get chased. If I die oh well on to the next game. Some people are really hard headed in this game tho xD

Sure. I love Mikey. He's been my main as killer for four years now. I think he's very underrated by many in the Dbd community. He could definitely use some buffs, like 90% of the killer roster in this game, but he's a lot of fun. He's got great snowball potential, some fantastic add ons, and is one of the most versatile killers when it comes to builds and play styles.

Speaking of versatile builds, has your Mikey build changed any since the recent chapters perks? Also im pretty sure you're joker Dwight on twitch aren't you lol

If any changes happen then yes, I will create a new post.

As for my build, still the same. Haven't got Artist/Jonah and I'm spending all my pre-Christmas money on commissions so I won't get it till after. If Pain Resonance ends up being good on him I'll switch it out but as of right now I think PGTW is the better perk.

But who knows maybe the best play right now involves caging if you aren't near a scourge hook and hooking if you are.

Yeah I'm actually really enjoying jolt and pain resonance on clown lately, obviously I wouldn't run Jolt on pyramid Head.. But you should definitely try it whenever you have it unlocked It gives you information and slowdown. You'll know exactly where to go to to put some pressure if they scream if they don't scream they might not be at that gen.

  • @GoodBoyKaru hey what's up buddy! Are you planning to keep this guide up today with any changes that may happen? Also has your build changed any since the most recent chapter?

    Nice point.

Don't specify to what specifically you're disagree with. Just type hard disagree and everyone should understand my point.

That's why I hate these forums, barely any constructive criticism.

I very strongly disagree with the title as in my opinion MMR is not good for this game in the slightest in it's current implementation. I gave my opinion you gave yours.

Though I'm all for a separate ranked mode as you suggested. It's one of the many reasons I hate MMR/SBMM in many games that I partake in. Because you almost never have the option for a unranked mode. Maybe give it some incentives to be a high rank or up there in the leaderboards and a ranked mode with MMR could be very sweet.

  • Can anyone confirm this? You get as close to the cap as possible, claim a tome challenge then you can play matches normally and keep earning bp past the cap?

Or is it just like the normal cap where it's basically losing Bp gained in those matches

I never asked for MMR, so technically I have every right to complain.

At least judging by your logic.

Yeah I'm one of those that complained about it before it was ever even tested. Bc I knew how unfun it was in every game ive played with it in it without also having a casual option. To my absolute shock it was awful when tested and they pushed it through anyways. The old system was better, should've expanded upon that instead.

  • Yup for me it's the absolute state of the game with hackers going rampant and sbmm.

I go through my moods but right now I'm alright, I've accepted that it's a thing I'ma have to live with if I play dbd. Just make myself pull up yt or something if there are any hackers. And now I quite frequently let 1 to 2 survs go just so that I can get a good amount of bloodpoints and stay away from the absolute hardest matches. Never liked sbmm/MMR in any casual game without a ranked and casual option and Dbd is no different.

So I guess I'm just sad how miserable everyone seems that play it on yt and twitch, and I'm sad that all these hackers run around and destroy people's experiences. Alot of my streamer friends have quit or openly talk about how they can't wait for another game to take their mind off dbd for awhile, in hopes that it gets better.

Rather than playing killer, alot of us just go play survivor instead to relax, meme, and mess around, even then you get a huuuge weird mix of players like decent to a literal 20 hour newbie lol...

Cause once you try to get in a match 5 times in a row with 2 being with hackers and 3 being survs who DC at the loading screen or at first down, at that point the surv queue being long is much more worth! Just me and my take tho! I love playing surv or killer. Just saying how myself and others feel.

Tldr; Yeah hackers and sbmm are it for alot of people. But for others, it may be that with a mix of alot of different stuff all coming together to be one big thing.

Yes it has actually. Pain resonance is a game changer and works brilliantly with surge. For the last slot I switch between Gearhead and STBFL but usually STBFL for the chase potential

Oh crazy I'll definitely try it I've been missing some clown lately and wanted to play him again. I've been having a lot of fun with Billy recently surprisingly. Well except that time I got rpd with him.

I'm going to have to unlock that perk from the artist for that build tho first.

You know what would be great if you were ever up for it, creating a guide on how to use his yellow bottles because alot of clown players don't understand how to use it or flat out ignore it entirely. I myself feel giddy when I see the rare clown player use them and use them well

  • Awesome post @Phasmamain! I'm curious has your clown build changed any? I know last time I remember it being gearhead, bbq, pop, and oppression right?

    I have two builds:

Fun version: BBQ, Pop, Enduring, Spirit fury

Tryhard version: BBQ, Surge, Pain Resonance, Ruin

Oh I see so probably what you do is you use the fun version for blood point events and whenever you're trying to build up blood points for a specific goal and the other version is probably your normal version the try-hard version. Spirit fury/enduring is really helpful when farming that's for sure plus you don't waste all that time waiting for a stun and some free pallet breaks on top!

Dude I have to say I absolutely love your name @sluzzy_but_correct

Edit: wait NVM he banned lol

I like Legion for farming, quite easy to get max BP each game, unless they gen rush the ######### out of you, but happens...

What build do you usually run on him when you're farming? I'm just curious, right now my BP character is Nemesis mostly because he has like 50 of those anniversary cakes still from the last anniversary lol. But Ive went through periods where I've used legion and sometimes doc as my BP farmers. Was also half tempted to build up wraith a little for BP farming but eh didn't feel like farming..to make a BP farmer xD

    @Laluzi said:

I like Wraith for BP farming, since he gets good BP and his bingbong is a good way to signal to survivors that you're being silly (as it can be difficult to signal to survivors that you've stopped playing for keeps and want to be friendly now after a full game of normal gameplay.)

I think the only bad choices are Myers, Pig, and Plague. The latter two for bad BP gain, Mikey for bad BP gain and also added distrust since you can stalk survivors for tombstone while appearing harmless and most survivors are wary of that. Pig's kind of the opposite, though; people are happier than usual to meme with her, so there is that.

Well I guess I'll ask you too what do you like running on wraith when you farm with them? And yeah that bell definitely helps with farming if you choose to farm that hard or show away of being friendly when there's like two survs left.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2694376#Comment_2694376

There is a ton of combinations. The one I choose though is basically trying to get him closer to what I wanted him to be.

    Perks:

    Enduring because he is unstoppable

Nemesis because it'll work very well with my next perk AND it just so happens to have that name so it is perfect.

Play With Your Food to get him closer to that running feel.

Finally, Save The Best For Last. In RE3 he does these sort of combo attacks. Like hitting you multiple times. While you may not be able to do that in DBD this is the closest you can get to that and also works with the last perks.

If you want you could swap it out for Fire Up so you get that feeling of becoming more powerful as the game goes on.

I could probably make some more builds though.

Yeah nice, didn't think of pwyf at first for some reason but that would fit him excellently since he basically sprints. And in dbd he's the same speed as most killers. So I'm definitely gonna add that to my list up top.

But how can I rationalize Nemesis? Other then having food synergy with enduring and pwyf...and the same name as the killer. Does him changing obsessions on a whim make sense for him? I'll probably end up running it anyways but still.

Now on to save, I get what you are going for with it, but to me the way I see it is..your going for your obsession way less on purpose to preserve stacks..i mean not really considering you can just use your tentacle to save them....but the whole idea around that perk is to save your obsession for last and to me that kinda goes against what he'd be trying to do, but personally I don't like stbfl on nemmy bc I can be accurate with his tentacle, and if I were you...in your nemmy build, I'd swap this for either lethal or rancor as I feel like they'd fit him better. But other then that you definitely gave me some ideas!

    @Marc_go_solo said:

Mine would probably be: Enduring, Rancor, Fire Up, H:NOED

Enduring, because of his resilience and single-minded pursuit of S.T.A.R.S members.

Rancor, because of the obsession aspect and ultimate pursuit to kill a particular person.

Fire Up, because Nemesis mutates as RE3 progresses, so this may represent its continuing mutations.

NOED, because it's the final endgame and Nemesis enters his final form, where nothing can touch him.

Absolutely great choices too, but I'll be contending against fire up. While the idea fits, it's mostly useless for him in dbd bc he can already break pallets like they're nothing and there isn't much a use for faster vault and pickup where he's concerned. It's a big reason why I didn't mention brutal strength, bc while it'd fit him greatly, he kinda already has a power in such away that makes it worthless and more worthwhile to bring a different perk for lore reasons. The idea was lore accurate without being redundant or useless.

I suggest to swap fire up for one of the perks we have talked about above. In your specific build I'd put in...maybe tinkerer to help you feel hard to get rid of and annoying. Plus there's some rancor and noed synergy bc you'd get a heads-up when that last gen is about to pop so you could go insta down and Mori if it's your obsession or just insta down if it's someone else? Just an idea!

  • Same Ive always always always thought that messaging complete strangers over the internet your worthless grievances over a match that made you angyyyy was an utter waste of time.

I've thought this even since I was younger. The difference is, I used to reply and crap talk back, and now I either don't reply...say equally worthless one word replies that make no sense like "hamburger" or I'll just be nice/oblivious to make them even angrier

  • @Phasmamain said:

Iโ€™d rather a licensed killer be accurate to the film/game and give fans of that character a chance to play them then them to be a licensed skin of anti loop killer number 93

Plus the guy you replied to isn't even talking accuracy. He's talking about balance which has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Like yeah Myers needs buffs but that's not even the topic at all of this. Myers is depicted quite well in dbd besides his mask...it looks derpy lol.

But take a second and imagine if they tried to represent ips by their true strength....Freddy would be unstoppable.

Tldr; I agree with you. ๐Ÿ™‚

The DbD year starts and ends in June, not January, as that is when the anniversary is.

For example, Year 4 began with the Silent Hill chapter in June 2020, and ended right before the Resident Evil chapter in June 2021.

So Chapter 23, Ringu in March 2022, will be the final chapter of Year 5, as the upcoming 6th anniversary chapter in June 2022 will be the first chapter of Year 6.

Meaning both maps for Year 5 have indeed already released, being Raccoon Police Department and Eyrie of Crows.

Oh yeah I gotchu fam but considering how trolly/teasy the devs can be, who's to say they meant the dbd year rather than the actual year. Plus they could be lying to hide upcoming content. But I'm not going to lie I wasn't thinking about the dbd year when I posted that comment

For example Elodie when she was notoriously loud. But yeah point is there actually are reasons for the third one, sometimes people just don't wanna hear the screaming. But there's definitely not alot of people who do it for that reason most just do it out of being salty or a payback bm kinda thing.

As for knockout I also get it with the fists but nemesis doesn't really go around knocking people out/down for later, like someone who would do so such as idk Bubba who'd same them to be prepped and cooked, hag is based off of a windigo and is also a cannibal of sorts, could fit her as well but I'm probably gonna go hard on totems with her...or even Nurse? That gives me an idea knock out to represent someone being put to sleep for medical purposes on nurse lol

Whenever you come back, try survivor. It's much more enjoyable of a role I find. Especially when you run builds like Bond, Mettle of Man, Boon: Circle of Healing, and We're Gonna Live Forever. You'll be raking in 40-60k BP per game easily without even needing to survive.

Just don't solo gens. Instead, run around and body block the killer, take a hit, run back to your boon to heal and repeat. I only learned recently that you can proc Mettle of Man multiple times per game, which is hilarious when you pull it off.

The best part is you don't even need good solo queue team mates for this.

    ---

Renounce the art of murder, and join me on the dark side as a current survivor main.

Alright I had to screenshot this build this sounds fun as hell. I definitely want to give this a try It sounds like it's good for messing around and having fun but I also having a lot of blood points and no matter what side I play I usually care about getting blood points a lot xD so wglf and bbq are in alot of my builds.

I guess the meme and the persona of Bubba that he's gained inside of dead by daylight I like more the actual character. Plus I really like his somewhat simple play style but there's a lot to it such as charge timing, knowing how early you can use it to close the distance etc. Idek why I'm telling this to u I'm sure you already know lmao. Its certainly not a word I was hearing or using prior to Fortnite. I've been trash talking in online games since 2009, and the usual banter was just "n00b," "get good," "mad cuz bad," "outplayed," "tryhard," and all the basic curse words.

"Tryhard" was the closest anyone came to calling someone sweaty, but even that word was used sparingly.

I've been playing Halo CE, Combat Arms, CS:GO, & Overwatch on PC through all the years. I know for a fact people weren't using the term 'sweaty' in Overwatch, and that game is hella sweaty. I never played much COD, but I think we all know much worse words were being thrown around on that game.

I'm not calling you a liar, but 'sweaty' is definitely a newer generation term. Popularized might be the better word choice, because I'd believe some people were saying it before social media helped coin and maintream slang words like crazy.

Well maybe it wasn't used in those games I'll concede that for the simple fact that I didn't play those specific games. But in call of duty people used to call each other sweat lord's, sweaty tryhards, tryhards...etc. you know much worse stuff but it was definitely used in cod.

Well you mentioned CSGO, maybe you been a PC gamer all this time and it was mostly a console thing?

Oh well lol haha. Not really the point of your post! Sorry for minor derailment

He is always fun when the killer is good & doesn't camp, I can ensure you that

What do you run on him? I like trying out different stuff on people.

Aso hard agree, I've liked bubba even before his rework tho

  • "with the term 'sweaty' only circulating in the gamer community for a little under 4 years now."

Wait are you trying to say that for only about 4 years gamers have been using the term sweaty? Bro unless I read that wrong, where the heck have you been lol that's been a term for as long as I've been an online gamer since the era of Xbox 360/PS3.

Like saying it's only been around for 4 years or so is just blatantly false. And if you mean it was popularized at that time...would also be extremely incorrect
