People aren't getting how perks are supposed to work. They should be things that slightly cover your weakness or give you a slight advantage in one area.
NOED is so relied on by weak killers, I get that but a killer shouldn't only be viable by the use of a single perk anyways. I'd buff the weak killers and then look at NOED as a whole. Perhaps version 1 will really work well for the new version of NOED.
What do you think @Vietfox? -

DS should be disabled on survivors that are not the obsession, it is really annoying when someone all of a sudden DSs you when you are about to hook themYou should always expect ds just like survivors expect noed so dont carry them long
Sure, SWF can do it easily but solo Q survivors? Multiple survivors can be looking for totems while the killer is putting pressure on them. This will just cripple the solo Q survivor team.
Remember, a single totem is easy to find but 5 totems aren't easy to find since you're playing hide and seek world championship. You're basically bringing 5 Hex totems to the game when you use NOED since any dull totem can become a Hex. Telling survivors to "Break the totem" won't solve the issue as well since as previously state in my OP:Nickenzie said:Common Complaints
"Just break the totem"
Like I said before, you are a single survivor trying to destroy all 5 totems before your teammates power on the exit gates. Basically, you can destroy a few totems but have NOED activate because your teammates didn't want to help out. Can you see the problem? You're 1v1 the killer when the game is built around a 1v4. Knowing this, destroying 5 totems will be difficult to the single survivor. This is just unfair.
-
Yeah man, it's reportable because you are going out of your way to ruin someone's game. If I'm a survivor and you caught me fair and square, at least take your sacrifice and don't waste even more of my time. In theory you'd eventually die due to the dying state timer but this would take hours.BACKSTABBER said:Milking: massive tunneling, downing, catch&drop x4 times to revive, then down etc repeat many times til ragequit
not necessarily the last surv, ofc the surv has no choice to escape. neither killed/sacrificed

Eventually a killer will hit you regardless how good the survivor is because humans are known for mistakes. However being severely punished for attempting to cleanse totems shouldn't be a thing.Cardgrey said:@ShrimpTwiggs said:

I see both sides of the coin here. DS might not be an issue against casual players, but it has potential to really screw you over in a match. NOeD isn't much of a problem if your teammates know to break totems, but if you're playing solo and the killer is applying a good amount of pressure, you can't take all of them out by yourself. If your teammates fail to do any totems, you could be the one getting punished by it.Idk man honestly I consider noed weak. Like u take that with the plan of Them getting gens done. I run ruin, iron grasp, nurses and discordance/ franklins and normally get at least 3 by 1-3 gens left.
It's incredibly weak against SWF, but against solos, it can be devastating if you're playing a killer that can apply serious pressure, like the Nurse or Billy. If you don't give the survivors time to do anything but gens, it can net you a 4k.
Not saying it doesn’t have a impact thou, as a wraith main I just don’t use it. And maybe it’s made me better for not needing it. I 70% or so 3k 2 gens left 85% if u count 2k and about 15% I get destroyed. (Noed probably would be good here) I just don’t want to get lazy(and I will) and not push myself. It’s a tendency I have.
I don't use it either, but I've been on the receiving end, where I'd take out three totems and still end up dying because my teammates didn't do totems.
In all respect are u blaming others for u getting hit

Basically have some quality of life changes such as having awake survivors not seeing sleeping survivors and sleeping survivors not seeing awake survivors. Decreasing the dream transition to 4 seconds with Freddy receiving a movement speed increase when a survivor is transitioning. Make survivors unable to interact with anything while in the dream realm until they automatically wake up. Survivors will automatically wake up in 60 seconds but this timer will be paused when they are in the killer's terror radius. Hooking a survivor will pause their wake up timer. Whenever a survivor is in the dream realm, they cannot interact with anything besides pallets, vaults, and the hatch. Sleeping the same survivor more than once will increase their wake up timer linearly or exponentially with a cap maybe.

Nope, utopian means ideal so the generator rework is already in effect, all killer's are balanced, perks are balanced, and... basically there's nothing wrong with the game. How would bring Nurse down to a reasonable level? I'm curious because the community wants to nerf her when the time comes.
You need to be a bit more precise when you are talking about a "generator rework".
Dedicated servers shouldnt affect the balance at all if executed properly, but in reality they will be a killer nerf

TLDR; The more tiles you restrict, the more obvious the spawns become.
I think this might be your first bias comment but I might be wrong tho so forgive me if I am.
If totems don't spawn near generators, totem spawning locations won't be more obvious. There's enough spawning space on every map to utilize meaning totems should still be well hidden overall. Besides, I rather have a hidden totem than a generator totem where every survivor immediately knows where it's at.
Again you guys have absolutely NO idea what bias is. I’m perfectly fine with them not spawning near generators, but they will be found quicker once you start removing places that they can spawn in.
if you have 50 places a totem can spawn in, and people check those places every game that’s some decent time wasted. If you then decide that in the same map there’s only 25 places the totem can spawn that’s a lot less area to check.
its not bias, bias is being completely one sided, making one statement you don’t like isn’t biased. You guys need to stop throwing it around like you have any idea.
@SenzuDuck
Calm down and stop getting all defensive, you act like being slightly bias is bad thing when it's not a bad thing. I actually careless about you being bias, I was trying to say that your reasoning is slightly bias towards survivors."You guys need to stop throwing it around like you have any idea."
I do know what the definition of bias is dude and you don't have to tell me any different so chill out.
(Spoiler)
Now, allow me to explain how you're slightly bias towards survivors. When you said generator totems need to stay, you mentioned that it will take longer in this example you provided here.
"If you have 50 places a totem can spawn in, and people check those places every game that’s some decent time wasted. If you then decide that in the same map there’s only 25 places the totem can spawn that’s a lot less area to check."
However, here's the thing with having generator totems, SURVIVORS DON'T HAVE TO WASTE TIME SEARCHING IF THE TOTEM LOCATION IS IN PLAIN SIGHT OF A GENERATOR. This means no time is wasted when searching for totems. I'd rather have the survivor get 25 places to search than winning the lottery on not getting a generator totem on 50 places. That is why your statement is slightly (not completely) bias.
Near is a very vague word, I'm thinking of a 5 metre radius around the gen, not ones that are literally ontop of it, because not all totems that are near gens are in plain sight, this is my point.
infact, the post even mentions a radius around the gens, that then becomes a pretty large area on the map that totems CANT spawn in.
I agree that there should be a restriction of some sort but we need to find the sweet spot! However, I don't think totems will suffer from this because this change will at least force survivors to search for them. -

Will remain the same since if used again:
-3:30 RBT timer and 6 Jigsaw Boxes which isn't deadly, it will stall even more.

-RBT timer will start activated without the need of a generator. (Adds pressure faster)
Combat Straps
-Decreases successful attack cool downs by a %.
I'll give it a good look!AlphaJackson said:As a piggy main too, I can agree with having her Comabt Straps and Rule Set No.2 as base kit, however I'm not so sure about the annotated plan. I personally think, now I will say this thought only came to me recentally, but having her Last Will as base kit too would be nice. Having 5 RBT standard woukd be great, it would help to add more pressure to survivors and waste more time, and would also be a little more forgiving with RNG, having a whole RBT to remove, then adding Last Will to bump it up to 6 if you use the add-on. Just quickly in relation to the Annotated Plan, I wouldn't be too against having the 5th Jigsaw box, but adding the extra 30 seconds to her pre-existing 2:30 timer I think would be too much time.
I just yesterday posted a thread about some other add-on ideas I had for Amanda, I'm going to hope you may have already seen it, but otherwise, like I said above. Having RS2 and CS as base would alone help to raise her competative stats if you will. I'll drop the link to the thread here real quick too
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/40214/piggy-and-mike-add-on-ideas/p1?new=1
Otherwise however, I don't think that Amanda could really be changed to buff her potency without making addons her base kit, even ecpxtending her ambush would be near in insequential to her playstyle, so would beuffing her crouch movement speed, but I digress, I'm sure I've said enough by now. And so for the most part +1 for the ideas.

My version of NOED makes the killer strong as generators are completed and believe me, I know how strong a 10% haste effect is. That's why it only affects you for a duration of 30 seconds and those 30 seconds of haste might not be made useful.

This isn't exactly fair to the survivor role. Knowing this, a single survivor will struggle to find 5 totems since that task is meant for all survivors.Your rework would make NOED completely broken. 10% speed increase is a big difference. Unlocks potential in one's aura reading ability. Whenever a survivor enters a locker, that locker will be highlighted for 6/8/10 seconds. You have a unique sense when a survivor is playing games; lockers no longer hide the survivor's auras.

That's a dilemma, you won't get emblem points for destroying dull totems. If the developers add a small bonus to destroying dull totems, count me in.Vietfox said:

This isn't exactly fair to the survivor role. Hear me out, I can cleanse every totem I see but still have NOED activate because my teammates didn't help me@Orion said:Just break the totem.
Then do what i do, run small game and cleanse all 5 totems by yourself. Most randoms will focus on gens, do what most randoms wouldnt do and you'll succeed.
Honestly i dont care about the emblem system.
Personally i got 2 main goals:
1 - to not give 4K to the killer
2 - try to save as many teammates as i can
And to survive ofc, but that's my 3rd goal.
It's so satisfying to remove noed before it triggers
If destroying dull totems gave you a 5% bonus to the Lightbringer category with Hex totems being worth doubt the points then we might have something here!
Perhaps they can buff NOED with this change?
I think survivors should aim for the greater good, no matter if they get rewarded or not. At least that's what i do.
I don't need/want any emblem to tell me i did well, i just wanna see my teammates escaping.

It needs a rework in my opinion because a perk shouldn't seek use by a few killers.DwightsLifeMatters said:
U r right, it says location. Darn, this perk would be so good if it has aura reading. Seems like it will stay a huntress only perkNickenzie said:
Auras are a precise marker while location reading is a hint. If it shows you the survivor's location when it says it'll show you their auras then it's a bug (or writing mistake).DwightsLifeMatters said:So I recently unlocked it for huntress on level 3 and I used it all day. Isn't the description saying that the aura is revealed for 5 seconds? I expected to be aura like BBQ or bitter murmer but it's like rancor. Bug or intended?
Also, is it just me or should be the perk icon get the 15 second exposed countdown like MYC? Had some situations where I wasn't sure if the survivor is still exposed which can be lead to different decisions.

Generators should have a two step phase or they should make a system like Last Year: The Nightmare where your objective is changed after you complete the previous objective. We kinda have that when all generators are completed but I would like more objectives between the two steps.DwightsLifeMatters said:
Yeah, kinda true point. Normally I search for solutions which doesn't make playing survivor even more boring. But all suggestions we gave the devs are getting ignoredNickenzie said:
To be fair tho, imagine how boring generator simulator would be if you couldn't hit greats. Usually I'll run technician, Stake Out, or Small Game to soft counter Ruin.Vortexas said:Because survivors would cry if it wasn't.
Just like they did when NOED wasn't.

The developers should switch the struggle action to skill checks that happen every 10 seconds. This will equate to 5 skill checks, and I'll like to mention that these skill checks are immune to debuffs.Mullato said:

It depends because some survivors can kill themselves to sandbag the entire team which is reportable in the unsportsmanlike category! -
This isn't exactly fair to the survivor role. Hear me out, I can cleanse every totem I see but still have NOED activate because my teammates didn't help me (ironically they escape with me facing the punishment). Basically, it's a 1v1 situation (since I'm the only survivor cleansing all if the totems) when the game is built around a 1v4. Knowing this, a single survivor will struggle to find 5 totems since that task is meant for all survivors. Here's a rework I have in mind that's more solo Q survivor friendly while remaining strong.Orion said:Just break the totem.
No One Escapes Death:
Progress infuriates you and calls upon the wrath of the Entity. Every time a generator is repaired, gain a 10% haste effect for the next 30 seconds. Upon the completion of the final generator, all pallets remaining in the trial are destroyed.
Notice: It's not a Hex

The tutorial should prepare the survivor more in my opinion. Perhaps introduce them to Hex perks by giving the survivor two options: Work on a generator or find Hex Ruin (The hex's aura will be shown to the survivor so they don't have to waste too much time)SnakeSound222 said:
What if someone gets lucky with the bloodweb RNG and gets Ruin to tier 3?DwightsLifeMatters said:
I see where you are coming from, but here is the problem:GT_Legend2 said:But rank 20s who just picked the game up would not like it, it would be way too unfun for new players
Rank 15-20 should be a save space of new players. This means, there shouldn't be a killer with ruin level 3. This should be the job of the devs to make sure that new players only are playing at these ranks.
Also, just because they don't like it doesn't mean they can't finish the gen.
Secondly, why should we balance around noobs? A competitive game should be balanced around the good players not around potatoes
We shouldn’t completely balance the game around noobs, but we need to keep them in mind because we don’t want them to quit the game after a few hours of playing because it’s too hard for them. Ruin not being a totem would mess them up so much. They’d never be able to finish a gen because they either keep missing skill checks or hit mostly goods and have the gen constantly regressing. -
Where's your popcorn??? C'mon, the show is about to start!Orion said:Yes, they've said that people will be banned retroactively once bans come out. And yes, it's going to be hilarious.
