Use an offering? It will bypass the restriction system and DCing is bannable so they can suit themselves if they wanna DC.Orion said:I think this is unnecessary and that people just need to understand how randomness works. This would incentivize DCing on maps you don't want to play, which would escalate the DC issue even further.

If Behavior can do dedicated servers then surely they can do this.Master said:@Nickenzie said:
Let's Relate Together!Admit, you got the same map and you're getting tired of playing on it! It's annoying and you don't see as much variety since you're always on the same map! How do we fix this problem without creating more problems? Introducing "The Restriction System"
When you finish your latest game, the map you played that game on will be recorded (and you do not see this since this data is private to you but you can just memorize this). The map that is recorded will not be a possibility for the next game you play to prevent repetition!
This means up to 5 maps can be restricted due to being 5 players in every game. The minimum can be only a single map restricted due to everyone in your lobby previously played the same map.
An exception to the "Restriction System"
If at anytime a map offering is used, the restriction system will be ignored COMPLETELY. However, it will still be counted as your latest played map when you finish that game. Misconceptions
If you played The McMillian Estate map, you can still get The McMillan Estate map but you won't get the same variation.
Discuss! Hopefully, this can solve the repetition issues with some players!

Sounds reasonable, but would probably require some work from BHVR.....

It would be awesome. But doesn't saving that info and generating map for every players burden the servers ? Or also lobbies because it have to choose the players also in a case someone is going to a map you can't have.
"But doesn't saving that info and generating map for every players burden the servers?"
No, I think you are over thinking this system. If let's say 5 players in a lobby restricted 5 different maps, the RNG will pick any map BUT those 5 maps unless a survivor used an offering in which case the restriction is ignored. This prevents the wasting of offerings if you or someone else request a map that someone else in your lobby previously played.
"Or also lobbies because it have to choose the players also in a case someone is going to a map you can't have."
This won't happen since there are so many realms with so many variations of them. -

I feel like you shouldn't be able to get the same map twice in a row. This means 5 players will restrict 5 maps since they all can't play the same ones again but map offerings should ignore this rule.DwightsLifeMatters said:I play nurse. Getting only farm and swamp map 10 times in a row.

Spirit main here, first you'll need to understand the fundamentals of tracking! Having headphones are key to mastering her because you'll need to hear the survivor's grunts of pain and breathing to locate them while phasing! Another thing, grass is so important as the Spirit! If you see grass move while phasing, a survivor just walked there so get ready for an attack!Spirit_Hag said:So im still fairly new to playing killer. Im one of those people who took more comfort in playing survivor knowing there are at least 3 other people working with me out in the trial, but with killer you gotta beat the clock and i always get LOADS of anxiety when my killer lobby loads up lol However, i found comfort in playing the hag as i felt i didnt have too much trouble tracking survivors as i was pretty good at setting good traps. I however wish to transition into a spirit main as i am in LOVE with her design and over all aesthetic. But the few games ive played with her, i get WRECKT! Hardly hit anybody and my phase mind games be way off lol but i watch other play her well and it looks like so much fun and i want to get to that place too! I know shes one of the most difficult killers to get the hang of in the game, but does anyone have any tips for an infant baby spirit player? The build i use on her is BBQ, STBFL,Sloppy, Bloodhound. Thanks guys!
You'll need to plan one step ahead of the survivor so you can know what their next move will be! If you think a survivor will vault a window, make sure you phase to the other side for an attack instead of trying to phase to them and hope to beat them to the vault! Remember, if you stay completely still, the survivor will have no idea if you're phasing or not so use this to bait survivors!
My build: BBQ, Ruin, Monitor & Abuse, Nurse's Calling
Or
My build: BBQ, Sloppy Butcher, Monitor & Abuse, Nurse's Calling
Spirit is almost as strong as the Nurse so she doesn't need add-ons or perks to be viable. -

They could pretty much prevent this kind of body blocking by making the stairs a little wider, again, I don't mind body blocking if you're waiting a mechanic out BT/Head Traps. But trying to justify 8 minutes of someones time for NOED seems pretty unfair to me.
I don't mind body blocking either but holding the game hostage is when you force someone to DC since they can't win or lose. Yes, I'll agree that 8 minutes is risky because if the survivors would have DC'd thinking the killer was holding the game as hostage, they could've got the killer a temporary ban and it's fair game.
Anyone justifying 8 minutes because other players could do stuff and he hit them afterwards is an idiot.
Is that statement directed to me? I'm saying 8 minutes is risky for the killer, is that a problem?
How is it a risk? He's clearly made the choice to stand their until noed procs, he doesn't care about getting kills or pipping, he's just interested in stopping two players participating in the match.
There was no risk for him because he'd already decided to lose by doing that.

No One Escapes Death:
Everytime a generator is completed, for the next 20/25/30 seconds you'll gain a 10% haste effect. Whenever the final generator is completed, all pallets remaining in the trial will instantly be destroyed. -
I feel like the Objective Category needs some changes in my opinion. It should award more BP for doing boring skill check simulator for 80 seconds. Perhaps increase the maximum "Repairs" BP value to 4,000 since it encourages every survivor to do at least 2 generators to max out the category, not 2 and 2/3!AlwaysInAGoodShape said:Objective Category

That's what I have for suggestions right now! Keep it up with the amazing threads, really cool dude!
-
I like these changes but I would rather have an overall BP increase if the grind is too hard. I'll have to agree that BBQ gives the killer more BP on average than the survivors equivalent WGLF because the killer gets tokens for doing their objective. The survivor gets tokens for getting unhooks which is their objective but you are competing with other survivors so you won't get every unhook.Claudette_Baguette said:Change to We’re Gonna Live Forever:
You can get a maximum of 8/9/10 tokens. Each token gives you 10% more Bloodpoints post-trial.
Following actions give you one token:
• Completing a generator by yourself
• If someone else completes a generator
• Opening an exit gate
• Unhooking someone
• Healing someone for one health state
• Bodyblocking while the killer is carrying a survivor
• Rescuing a survivor from the killer’s grasp
• Stunning the killer
• Escaping the killer if a chase has been going on for at least 15 seconds without getting hit
Escaping the trial gives you 3 tokens of WGLF
In addition to more bloodpoints, you unhook survivors 30/40/50% faster
Reasons for this change: Survivors usually get a lot less additional bloodpoints post-trial than killers and “farm” people off of hooks because that’s the easiest way to get WGLF stacks right now. The suggested changes to this perk would discourage farming people. It would also reward doing other important mechanics of the game such as doing objectives, juking the killer, etc and not only saving teammates.
Making it easier to get tokens but increasing the maximum number of tokens would give survivors extra bloodpoints more consistently.
This is why WGLF needs a BP buff. The unhook speed is good and I don't see how this can be a nuisance to the killer role so it can stay. -
I don't like the fact 3 survivors can escape with a generator remaining, it's disgusting. However, I'll agree that somethings need to be looked at.Gay Myers (Luzi) said:Tsulan... Hun.

Hello, I brought this up to the developer Q&A team but my idea was that it wasn't a status effect and only affected SC. I like this idea as it gives the hemorrhage status effect more value to the killer while being balanced for the survivor side!ItsDaEmuDood said:Hello everyone! A user by the name AliveBySunrise shared an idea with me, which I was skeptical about at first, but I wanted to see what others think about it. So basically, the idea is that when the Hemorrhage effect is applied, healing progress slowly drains. We couldn't decide whether only Self-Care progress should be drained, or if all healing progress should be drained, so we're handing that discussion over to you guys. We also couldn't make up our minds on if the effect should have value tiers (Slightly/Moderately/Considerably), so we're giving you guys that task as well. So please let us know:
1. Should this even be added into the game?
2. If not, why? 2a. If so, would you change anything before adding it or leave it how it is?
3. Should this affect only Self-Care healing, healing from other players, or all healing?
4. Should this effect have value tiers (Slightly/Moderately/Considerably)? If so, what should the drain rate be for each tier?
At first, we weren't sure if this was good, because your worst case scenario is maybe a Billy with Carburetor Tuning Guide and Primer Bulb on Rotten Fields running Ruin, this new Sloppy Butcher, BBQ, and Nurse's Calling on Rotten Fields. That'd be deadly. But we're not sure. So please, let us know what you think!
Hemorrhage Tier 1: 100% progress to 0% progress in 32 seconds.
Hemorrhage Tier 2: 100% progress to 0% progress in 16 seconds.
Hemorrhage Tier 3: 100% progress to 0% progress in 8 seconds.
Status effects should be stackable, meaning if you're tagged with Fine Stone from a Huntress Hatchet then you're affected with the Hemorrhage status effect tier 1 for 60 seconds. If you are tagged again, the timer will reset but this time you are affected by the hemorrhage status effect tier 2.
Sloppy Butcher can work with this mechanic as well until you heal. -
Yeah, true but Firecrackers also take skill to bait the killer. I usually take a hit at a hook then drop my Firecracker as the killer M1's me since they are usually so focused on the hook. I fell victim to this trap, it's not the prettiest when it hits you but I adapted.The_Crusader said:

The survivor will need to do the unexpected to get a blind off of you, it's not just a press of a button. Additionally, you can avoid the blind just by simply looking up, there's counter play for both sides. The second survivor will automatically be downed in less than 60 seconds since the DW timer doesn't pause while in a chase and that is also 1 less survivor on a generator. Can you not see the problem here?
Are you talking about free Bond? The free Bond only takes effect on DW'd survivors who were previously injured and NOT previously healthy. The reason I gave those survivors a free Bond is because they can't mend themselves, they need someone else to do it for them. If you take away free Bond for those survivors (NOT including SWF), you're gonna give survivors little to no chance in finding help. Think of a RBT but you never see a Jigsaw Box and the timer is ticking, your chances are slim.
If you're talking about the 60 second DW timer, I can agree if it's too high but it's just a place holder value. I wouldn't mind to bring it down to 50 or even 40 seconds. -

It looks bad on paper but let's look at how much of a hindrance my Deep Wound version is to the survivor team.Raziel said:@Nickenzie said:
Raziel said:60 seconds + free map wide BOND is a problem.
An injured survivor hit with a collateral Frenzy attack as part of a chain will keep themselves safe with their free BOND (coz they know someone else is being chased) and have plenty of time to work on a gen until their 60 seconds run out.
Survivors need counter play against the killer, they shouldn't be helpless when they are DW'd. Besides, think of his power as the Pig's but you get infinite RBT.
Infinite RBT that are easier to get rid of AND Legion is slower AND requires more hits to down people. Bad idea. Survivors will ignore DW and work on gens. BT will be insanely OP endgame. You are basically suggesting a huge nerf to Legion who is in a bad state already.
You start the trial and you patrol the furthest generator from where you spawned at since survivors tend to spawn far away from the killer. Eventually you find two survivors on a generator and they scatter. You use Frenzy to tag the first survivor and then tag the second survivor. The first survivor is mending which is 1 less survivor on a generator. The second survivor will automatically be downed in less than 60 seconds since the DW timer doesn't pause while in a chase and that is also 1 less survivor on a generator. After you downed the second survivor, the first survivor will have a dilemma after they mend. The survivor can either heal since the Deep Wound status effect is much more severe to injured survivors or continue staying in the injured state.
If the second survivor doesn't heal, things get much worse the next time they are Deep Wounded again. Let's assume you found the injured survivor unhooking the hooked survivor. You Deep Wound them both and now, they both need a survivor to mend them since they were previously injured. Assuming you chase the Deep Wounded survivor, the other Deep Wounded survivor will have to take a survivor off a generator to mend. That's only 1 survivor on a generator and that's not taking into account of other variables. -

Oh, that's not a bad idea to be honest! It would be cool if there was a rarity called "Legendary" and it only appears as a cell in your bloodweb. If you get the cell, you'll be displayed with everything you can still get in your bloodweb. If you was leveling up your doctor and you got this legendary cell, you can pick to get an iridescent king or a certain perk (level 3).SnakeSound222 said:
Right, but the Shrine is also completely random (maybe not when it comes to BBQ) and it doesn’t include general perks. You still have to rely on RNG to get the perk that you want on a specific Killer. Like if I want Sloppy Butcher on Hag, I have to hope that the RNG decides to favor me. Otherwise, I could be stuck getting every other perk but Sloppy until the bloodweb is forced to give it to me. Being able to directly buy a perk would prevent me from having to deal with that. The purchased perk would most likely be at tier 3 so you don’t have to continue relying on RNG for the other two tiers.Nickenzie said:

Am I the only survivor who let's the killer sacrifice me when this happens?SenzuDuck said:As a killer I hit them, as a survivor I jump.
It's not rocket science.

I don't agree with BP being a currency because every survivor and killer will have God perks and I think it's unhealthy for the game. Perhaps iridescent shards will satisfy.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:The Shrine of Secrets is unreliable as heck.
Also. currently you gain more Bloodpoint Offerings than you are able to spend from playing 1 game. This means that all your bloodpoints offerings keep stacking up and achieve nothing.
With high expenditures like as the title suggests, you'll finally be able to get use of ALL your BP offerings.
How it works:
In the middle of the shrine of secrets there's a button. You can press it and it'll open up a perk menu similar to what you're used to when picking perks.
The only difference: It shows ALL THE TEACHABLES of every perk in the game that you don't yet own. You can then press then, confirm your purchase and boom; you have 0 BP's and a new teachable unlocked.
The shrine of secrets does allow you to get perks for 250.000 if you translate it from iredescent shards, so techincally, being lucky and getting them from the Shrine of Secrets is 4 times cheaper, but hey; if you have the BP's you're in control.
Make this happen. Thanks (:
