I mean, I love the perk because you have increased your chances of being saved by a considerable amount and if the killer camps, your teammates will know that. Overall, having Kindred tier 2 be built-in to the survivor's normal kit (Where survivors can only see each other but not the killer's aura) and then reworking the perk to do something else would make the game feel smoother for solo Q survivors.Boss said:@Nickenzie said:

The killer buff during chase is just random and doesn't have any logical reasoning behind it. It also just wouldn't be a good idea, we already had that issue back with the "machine gun" build issue if you were around then. Also, I'm down for Kindred 2 being at base to bring solo up to swf par however your changes to Kindred would defeat the purpose of a lot of other perks like Bond and Empathy. If you kept Kindred the same or changed it you would have to give some massive as hell buffs to killer and add some other HEAVY things to slow down the game. I don't think you realize just how much of a massive loss of time that would do to the killers...who are already way, way behind on time in the current game WITHOUT adding that. Kindred doesn't buff the killer, read the bold for a quick summary.
Kindred: Your loving heart burns evil and protects you from harms way. When in a chase, all survivors except you will see each other's aura. The killer's attack recovery time and speed penalty during the attack recovery time towards you is increased by 5/10/15%.
Jesus, you actually want that hindrance on the killer ALSO? Read what i already wrote on my last post, these are just insane buffs on the survivor side that would absolutely destroy the what little balance there is.
You're overreacting, 15% is not the end of the world for the killer and it only affects the killer when he attacks a survivor that is using the perk. It's not like Open Handed where it gives the 15% to ever survivor.
My point is that even WITHOUT that 15% effect, this change would MASSIVELY put the game out of balance when it's ALREADY in a massively out of balance state. If you want to push these changes, you need to offer some very extreme killer buffs to compensate alongside them.
If SWF and solo Q survivors were at the same strength then the developers can nerf both SWF and solo Q survivors simultaneously. Usually when a nerf hits a survivor, it usually 9/10 only effects solo Q survivors while SWF remains untouched. If the developers can make SWF = Solo Q survivors then the developers can buff killers more killers drastically without leaving solo Q survivors in the dust. Does this help with the clarification? If you need further explanation then I would happily be glad to aid you more! -

You miss my point, I want the tier 2 version of the perk to be baseline for every survivor meaning they get Kindred tier 2 for free without sacrificing a perk slot. Since kindred tier 2 is built in to the survivor's normal kit, the perk will need to be adjusted since the old version is now useless since you already have it. Usually I run Deliverance and in most cases I don't cleanse totems. However, I'm never worrying about NOED because I'm never the first one to be chased when it's active and when I am the unlucky one. Is that weird of me?Vert3x said:Tunneling and camping have always been debated but they start deserving a little more attention now that survivors got nerfed in everything and that we would be given limits even in taking a #########.
It's time to give some importance to the harsh experiences that survivors have in this game as well as it's been given to those that the killer had, and one of these is to deal with tunnelers and campers; not one good killer main needs that, many of them disagree with that play style and it's in general really unfair and unfun.
Not once you could say that it's fun to get camped or tunneled, and you don't want the game to be unfun for neither one of the sides, don't you, Behav10ur?
Survivors used to be hard to be gotten on their first hook, so, to a limited extent, camping was even justifiable; but now being hooked is something that has to happen by force at least once during your game unless you're playing immersed or the killer is playing his first game on Dead by Daylight, and thus the killers shouldn't be granted the possibility to play unfair against you in the moments when you're most vulnerable and when you can't do anything at all.
If I was to play with a Survive With Friends team, not only I would have an easier chance with some teamplay to escape the tunneling/camping, but I'd also understand why the killer would do that, because he's having a hard time too in doing anything against us and he might be inexperienced and feel the necessity to play somewhat unfair.
But now we're coming down to the point why I'm writing this post: I can't conceive dying to this unfair play style when I'm playing solo, I'm not using any "crutch" perk or addon and I'm not teasing the killer in any way at all. This just can't happen and be all normal, especially if I'm on rank 1, killers that play like scumbags shouldn't reach any rank higher than 15, and that's it.
Do you want this not to be bannable? Don't make it bannable, it's fine, but prevent it to the fullest from happening, give the killer some huge debuffs if he tries to hit the just unhooked survivor as well as giving no damage to the survivor himself, freeze him if he stands around the hook for too long, don't let this ######### happen anymore, these are just ideas:
it's the end of 2018 and if there's one toxic and lame strategy (which you bhvr guys loved to call "legitimate" and "valid") that ruined the game since its beginning and that probably caused many players to quit it from the gold time that it had in 2016, that is the killer sitting around your hook once he's done catching you with you not having half a chance to escape from that. It's just time to either provide any valid motivation (not as valid as you claim that camping is as a strategy, since it isn't) why you wouldn't want to touch this in any direct way, or to actually abruptly apply some drastic changes to the hook context.
Now, I did vent some anger in this post since I'm really tired of dealing with this and even though I've got 1200hrs in the game I'm disabled from doing anything against it, but I really am convinced about what I said here, those are just 100% no-fun strategies, you don't want to keep them in the game, not one decent person in the community is glad of it being a thing, some just take it but nobody would disagree with it being gotten rid of.

As long as BHVR doesnt get proper systems that automatically detect this stuff and as long as they rely on manual removal that only happens in certain time zones, they will continue with this stuff.
thats really annoying bhvr needs more mods too monitor them
Why not have an automatic system for that? General forum should be english only anyway, any other language should be removed instantly lol

The first part just gives you more control on what you get exactly since you get to pick what exactly you think is the best choice. It's not really that complex, you just get two things but can only have one. If let's say you got a trash very rare add-on and a great very rare add-on, obviously you'll pick the great very rare add-on. This helps against the trash that you pick up in a bloodweb and gives you more control.No_Cluie_Louis said:Tough the first bit sounds a bit complicated and unnecessary, the concept for selling items/converting them into BP is a great idea

You should be unable to do anything for the first 10 seconds of you being in a bear trap. Then after the 10 seconds, you will get the normal RNG action to see whether or not you free yourself. I don't like how you can get sharp spikes jabbed into your legs and the survivor doesn't experience no type of shock from the trap.
That would be unfair. There is an addon that can make you stay trapped for longer anyway.

I think 50% of the original price is reasonable but again, these are test numbers so it can always be tweaked. Maybe add a limit to how much that you can sell items/add-ons/offerings on events and the first 5 days a new chapter hits to encourage the classic grinding method to get your BP.Dreamnomad said:What I would rather see them do is make a system so that you can convert items and add ons to items and add ons of equal rarity at a bloodpoint cost. Maybe even offer a discount if you have prestiged. So for example, no prestige conversion rate is 100% cost. Prestige 1 would be 75% cost and prestige 3 50% cost. So if I wanted to exchange my chainsaw files for spark plugs it would cost me 3000 bloodpoints no prestige, 2250 prestige 1 or 1500 with prestige 3. This would allow players more flexibility with getting the items and addons they want while still costing bloodpoints at a reasonable rate.
The problem with your idea is that all the extra garbage that players have unlocked would act as a way around the 1,000,000 bloodpoint cap. The second a new killer or survivor came out, players who've been around a while would be able to sell all their garbage at once and you'd have prestige 3 characters on the day they were released. Obviously, that isn't healthy long term.

I definitely agree with you until they can find a solution to pallet placement where both sides are happy. However I do feel like a map shouldn't have a minimum, I think that if there's no more areas in the map where a pallet can spawn no closer than 14, 16, 18, and 20 meters from each other then that's it. No more pallets- the map is already full- there's no need to cram more pallets into the map.Malakir said:

Thanataphobia:powerbats said:Debuff would be fine until healed but an extra effect might make it too op. It should also work by you only get more power by hitting/hooking away from the hook.
As survivors see their mortality, they will begin to lose their hope in escaping. Whenever you injured a survivor, all survivors will suffer a 10/15/20% speed penalty to all actions until that survivor is healed to the healthy state. Once that survivor is healed to the healthy state or eliminated from the trial, this perk will go into a 60/50/40 second cool down.
I think that this is the perfect rework since it adds a reasonable penalty while having a simple counter.
Generators:
80 (Base generator repair time) divided by 1c/s - 0.2c/s = 100 second generator repair times. So, basically a 25% increase in generator repair time for a 20% decrease in speed.
Healing:
16 (Base healing time) divided by 1c/s - 0.2c/s = 20 second heal time. So, again, basiclly a 25% increase in the heal time for a 20% decrease in speed.
What do you think @powerbats @Global? -

I think that we can rework this perk without it being stronger than Dying Light. Basically here's how I would do this rework:Global said:Thanataphobia
Their courage fades in the face of their undeniable mortality
All Survivors receive penalties to repair, healing and sabotage speeds for each Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor.
1 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor: 4 % reduced action speed.
2 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 7 % reduced action speed.
3 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 10 % reduced action speed.
4 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 13 % reduced action speed. Its obviously bad. But in my opinion it cant be buffed. If it were buffed to have better percentages it would completely undermine Dying Light depending on what the percentages are added by because the debuff would be easier to achieve then tunneling your obsession to death.. If each percentage was given an extra 8-9% Which in my opinion would be the border line percentage to make this perk good it would make dying light useless. Thanataphobia needs a complete change to what it is in my opinion to be a viable perk eithout a buff to make Dying Light useless.
Thanataphobia:
As survivors see their mortality, they will begin to lose hope in escaping. Whenever you injured a survivor, cause the mangled status effect and all survivors will suffer a 10/15/20% speed penalty to all actions until that survivor is healed to the healthy state. Once the survivor is healed to the healthy state, this perk will go into a 60/50/40 second cool down. Cannot cause the mangled status effect whenever this perk is on cool down or if it's already in effect. -

Console players claim all the time that they play at the same lvl as PC, some of them will even insult you if you say that you cant compare consoles stuttery casual mess to PCs competitiveness
I would love if they implemented cross play

sadly this will never happen and the devs even struggle with the easiest kind of implementations. Dedicated servers or even crossplay is FAR down the road where we will never reach^^
Dedicated servers are coming soon and I'm not joking. It's gonna be around December for sure and I know this since the developers have been continuously saying that they are gonna add a optimization update for console but what does that mean for PC? They can't working on a optimization update for a single platform and not anything else for the PC people. That's because they are working on dedicated servers right now. I'm very very sure of it.
Dedicated servers affect latency, not low framerates.
Anyway, I highly doubt we will EVER see dedicated severs

There are multiple counter plays. You can dribble the survivor which happens A TON if you suspect they have decisive. Another strategy that is distracting and makes the already difficult skill check even harder to hit is if you swing about the time you think they are getting the skill check... the noise sand the motion is VERY distracting when you are trying to focus on the skill check. Saying there is NO counter at all is stupid. And honestly why do survivors need ANY nerfs? Well Adapt: You prepare for the worst and hope for the best. For every successful skill check, receive a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 tokens. When Well Adapt has tokens, failed skill checks are considered as good skill checks and consume 1 token.Soren said:And not only generator repair. Healing, self-healing, sabotage, totems, all of that produce sounds, although not ultra loud, a good killer can spot a survivor because of these. Technician, while being a sweet perk, lacks of use, and this buff would make it a nice alternative in high rank when every detail matters.
What do you think about this? Technician is my favorite perk besides sole survivor. -
Hey, @Peanits @not_Queen @Patricia can you give this idea a shot? This would be easy to implement since you don't have to add new animations! I'll ask this on the next QPA if you don't respond to this and hopefully you'll take this change into consideration whenever you do rework DS, even if it's not exactly my version. As always, thank you for the support and love that you show us.

I usually send a survivor a message and tell them I will keep putting RBT on them but I won't hook them. I will use my Jigsaw Sketch and Tampered time combo to see how many RBT they can survive before they mismanage their time and die to the RBT. This usually results in a DC even through I wasn't instantly killing them sadly.popoles said:Sometimes, when I see survivors with 4 flashlights, I dress up my Nurse into the default clothes.
Then in the match, I try to behave like a baby Nurse (overcharging the blink, missing hits on purpose etc.)
When there are at least 2-3 survivors running around me, tea bagging and flashlight clicking, I'll switch to a God mode Nurse.
I know it's a bit salty, but SO much fun for me! -
It goes both ways. Out of curiosity, were you here when Freddy was supposedly OP and got nerfed in two weeks?Slayer said:People who calls for buffs left and right should not be able to write at all. Like recent change for spirit . We get new killer and in 2 weeks or so she gets buffed / nerfed whatever like why really? Is 2 weeks enought to know how to play against / as some particular killer.
