That would not make him any stronger or remove the problem of him being mind numbingly dull to play against.
HOW ARE THEY BORING TO PLAY AGAINST?
I've never understood this. Every time I get to play against a Legion, I get excited. Then I get sad because no one knows how to play her. I'm sad I'm not able to play against good Legions, cuz they actually take a brain to defeat (when to heal, when to slam gens, etc.), and it's why I love Spirit: it's not just slam gens and run around a pallet for 9 years. You actually have to think, and your choices have consequences. Only difference is that Legion gives that but also you can run him around a pallet for 9 years like everyone wants all killers to be.

When the streams were more relaxed and fun, players complained because they felt like the devs were mocking them or otherwise not taking their jobs seriously. Ethan also wants to be very precise about what he's saying (it's a physicist thing), which is why he prepares his answers beforehand.
I understand that. I'm the exact way. If I'm in a SWF and someone says "come to Shack" I question which side they are on. If someone is saying "Shack pallet gone", I feel the need to ask whether it's just down or if they broke it. If I'm playing Among Us, I need the voting time to max because it takes me 9 years to break down exactly why I am accusing this person for that reason. I really don't care how long they take as long as they are precise

Legion needs a different power to become a strong Killer. You cannot make him strong with the power he currently has, vaulting Windows and Pallets needs to go to make him strong.
I disagree. His power isn't just "run fast, vault pallets". It's the ability to chain the stabs to cause pressure across the map. It's the ability to stab someone and just get flooded with information. THAT is Legion's strength, which no one seems to realize.

I don't think Legion needs a rework. If they full reworked him, I'd probably quit Killer.
That said, he needs some of the nerfs from the rework reverted, such as being able to double stab someone and not losing all your power upon miss. Also, getting rid of the losing half their power on M1 and 3 second fatigue would be nice
-
I'd love it if you could press Escape to enter a menu that allows you to add bots, remove them, set perks, set actions, swap between killer and survivor, etc. That would be so cool

I am wanting this so badly

Imo that was actually a pretty good QnA, one of the best they've had. That's restored a noticeable amount of faith in the devs.
They actually gave stuff to look forward to (clown teaser, wraith buff) and their stance on certain topics.
One question though, why Demo for the next adjustment after huntress add on pass? Demo while not being incredibly strong is one of the more balanced and well designed killers in the game aside from the god awful hitboxes. I would've thought maybe Plague, Hag or Michael, as they are much more problematic from a design perspective than Demo.
Hag I feel is fine as is, Myers is, yeah, kind of outdated, but Plague is really fine. I'm not a fan of her on either side, but she's healthy for the game (ironic).
Demo isn't balanced, no matter what people say. His portals are mediocre and not worth the time it takes to set up. He's essentially just an M1 killer with global audio queues and a longer lunge that can save STBFL stacks. He's in desperate need of a change

I think that could be the animation for switching between the antidote and tonic
My question is what button are they gonna use? Like, M2 to throw, CTRL to swap, slow but passive reload?
-
@GodDamn_Angela said:
I think it'll be something like:
Afterpiece Tonic: Slow Down
Afterpiece Antidote: Movement Speed buff?
I can't see an "antidote" as being offensive. But who knows?
Tonic definition: a medicinal substance taken to give a feeling of vigor or well-being.
By definition, a tonic makes someone feel good, so maybe the antidote is the same. It will, in a sense, make them feel so good they get weak, like the Afterpiece Tonic

Auto reload would be fantastic for clown. "True invisibility" also sounds very cool but they will probably make his footsteps much louder to counter.
I'd prefer reducing the sound of his snarls by alot and make Wraith 100% invisible past 32 meters, but this seems pretty nice.
@NomiNomad said:
Wraith is confirmed getting a few tweaks. They mentioned "true invisibility" on the Q&A stream. They also showed something about Clown, but not too much.
Clown: Different gas colors, and an automatic reload (I think). It's liable to change.
Edit: Demo is getting an add-on pass and a few tweaks after Clown. They also mentioned balance changes for Freddy, since he's been at the top for awhile.
@Boss It's happening.
Different coloured gas? Oh my god my man about to turn into Pop Fizz from Skylanders
-
So if the 300K BP is an apology, I might have underestimated BHVR. I mean, it's not really anything to even remotely make up for this patch, but at least BHVR shows some humility.
-
The M1 restriction needs to go. Also, maybe remove the cooldown. No idea why it has that
-
BTW, that Legion "nerf"/bug was because they tried to fix a very minor bug with Frank's Mixtape lmao. An addon no one uses was fixed so that the Killer is useless.
-
I'm in the middle ground here, but I want to explain things from both sides.
First off, yes, the devs need to fix their game, but saying "fix your game" over and over won't do anything. It's like telling a FPS player "just get better" over and over. It won't do anything. Those 3 words don't magically give someone aim.
The devs 100% need a health patch. This games code is spaghetti, and fixing that up will help the game tremendously.
However, the code is spaghetti because they never anticipated the game to get this big, so they didn't put too much work into it. Now that the game is this big, you'd have to rewrite the entire code from the ground up with a whole new engine to fix it, which is essentially asking for Dead By Daylight 2. It really is alot to ask.
Furthermore, the devs have ALOT to fix. Ignoring the spaghetti code and how that affects bugs and s**t, there are a little under 200 perks in total, with many, MANY more addons, as well as offerings, items, and Killer powers. It's really hard to balance it, along with map design.
On the flip side, it is completely unprofessional to release a DLC in this state. It's stupid. Imagine if Overwatch released a new hero and their primary fire is just a button that doesn't do anything. The backlash would be insane. BHVR had no reason to release it like this.
The devs also are slow at getting to the things that need to be fixed when they do eventually get around to balancing. Clown was promise a rework, what, a year ago? We're still waiting. Spirit is still incredibly strong and people want nerfs (I think she's fine as is), and we are still waiting. The devs decided to nerf Hillbilly, the most balanced character in the game, instead of reworking Clown, or Demo.
The devs also just don't listen to feedback. There is a ton of people, even their own Fog Whisperers, who give countless suggestions on how to fix the game, and they just don't listen.
-
So, let me get this straight:
Trapper: Cannot trap Exit Gates and can't use the trapping animation to avoid a stun
Wraith: Cloaking and Uncloaking is still bugged
Billy: Chainsaw overheats randomly
Nurse: Still has a mountain of bugs
Huntress: Environmental and hatchet hitboxes are still bad
Myers: None that we know of
Hag: None that we know of
Doctor: None that we know of
Bubba: Occasionally doesn't get any speed from Chainsaw
Freddy: None that we know of
Pig: None that we know of
Clown: None that we know of
Spirit: Audio as a whole is #########
Legion: Doesn't get any speed from Feral Frenzy and doesn't get an extended lunge
Plague: None that we know of
Ghost Face: Revealing is still inconsistent
Demo: Shred occasionally won't activate when it should
Oni: Didn't get blood from hitting a healthy survivor (fixed when Hit Validation was taken out)
Slinger: Speargun hitbox still inconsistent
Executioner: Knife scraping ASMR bug
Blight: Camera still too low to the ground
Twins: too long to list
They really ######### the game this patch, huh?

Riot is a good example, but Papa Jeff and the OW team are way closer to BHVR and Bethesda levels of community respect than Riot. From metas that lasted months and even over a year, broken easy characters that gave more value than hard skillful ones, ingame events that give less and less content with each month- its a mess. I came over from OW to DBD cause of all their mess, and while DBD has its problems too I enjoy it more than OW (maybe personal preference, but point still stands).
I'm not even going to get into this, because I'm gonna rant for hours on why easy characters deserve just as much strength as difficult characters, but yeah, Blizzard is definitely similar to BHVR. The difference is that Blizzard shows that they actually care, and that they are trying to please the cesspool of their community.

I really want a killer whom's power is based around their blindness. But, I'm pretty sure Charlotte is blind, yes.

Riot in terms of league is a great example on how to make a ######### ton of merch without any of it feeling cheap and overpriced because music. Literally K/DA and True Damage bring me life and there's a just dance now and it's beautiful. They're a great example of filling a niche market perfectly and expanding it to other areas to get more people into the game.
hell, Riot as a whole is incredible. Really good at balance, really good with their community, really creative, open to feedback. I think Riot is a shining example of what game developers should strive to be
-
tunneling and camping isn't inherently toxic, just when people are doing it for the sole purpose of being an a**hole. However, it is a slight issue. Then again, alot of killers are really good at camping. Twins are no different.

The stream is also not about the recent chapter, or the game currently, but his career starting with a disc game into a online game that has continuous updates.
oh. Yeah, screw that then. Like, if the devs weren't like this with their game and it's community, then I'd be all for it. Jeff Kaplan of Blizzard Entertainment is a shining example of how you should be with your community when it comes to hyping things up and new content, and Riot Games (at least related to Valorant. I don't play League) is how you should be with your community and game when it comes to balance.

I want Kill WITH Friends. 2v6, killers see each others auras, constant regression on generators (can still be kicked) at 25% the normal regression rate (when kicked, it regresses at the normal rate), 9 gens on the map, 7 gens to complete, 10 totems.

I seriously don't understand why this game even has a battle pass.
"What movivated you to make a battle pass?"
BHVR: ..."Money"
-
Exactly. You can't make something like that and not make people think it's a baby, and censoring people who call Victor a baby is really stupid.
Hell, my sister (9) loves The Twins just because you are able to "kick de beh beh"
-
You cannot quite block the stairs of the basement with Charlotte, but you can sit right outside the basement entrance (and block the palletless doorway if the basement is in shack), and let Victor do his own thing. Once the rescue happens, just swap back to Charlotte. The Bloody Black Hood is easily her best addon overall, but it's really good with this. You can typically block the basement entrance in time to get a hit on the rescuer and down the rescued survivor.

Dunno if we are going to get some answers, or even questions, for once, OR if we are going to get the same Mathieu Cote that tells us to "play Civilization, or something"

IIRC the devs did address this. If I'm not mistaken, they consider the iridescent shards and their ability to unlock original characters as a way to make every original character "free", in a sense.
"yeah, you can get these chapters for free. It's just gonna take you 43 weeks each. Have fun!"

I don’t think the bug lowers your movespeed. Normally when you enter Feral Frenzy, your field-of-view increases slightly. The bug is that your FoV stays the same, which will certainly cause you to FEEL slower.
I haven't played Legion on the new patch yet, but I've been hearing from the forums and my buddies that it actually keeps you at 4.6
Either way, I'll know the truth when I play poor Susie again
-
That actually sounds very fun. You can also run a green key with the Wedding Ring addon
-
@Unseen_Force said:
Yea but you know they arent going to pay attention to any of these issues. Theres a whole bugged killer that doesnt function properly but they will probably still focus on people complaining about flashlights lol
You talking about The Twins, which is in a worse state than the PTB, or Legion, who doesn't get a speed boost in Feral Frenzy because they decided to fix a minor inconvenience for an addon no one uses (Frank's Mixtape)?
-
Twins can camp and slug very well, but other than that they are VERY bad. You want the ability to dodge Victor? Crouch. He's too close, 360/AD spam, just like you do with every other killer. If they miss, they lose their power, go through a 5 second cooldown to simply exist, have Victor come back 4 seconds later, then detach, try and chase again, rinse, repeat. You're right this killer is boring. Clown is boring too. Wraith without addons is boring too.
-
They are easily genrushed, more genrushable than any other killer bar Trapper/Hag. Their only real strength is camping and slugging, which we all know survivors love. The addons are s**t, the power is too punishing for a mediocre reward, too much counterplay (why can every Killer's power be countered by crouching? Hag, Phead, and now Twins all have a huge part of their power nullified by just holding CTRL), gives the survivors too much info, not fluid at all...
God, this killer is actually quite garbage. They fun in a casual setting tho.
-
Sprint Burst. Easily the best exhaustion perk in the game; it's not even close.
-
oh yeah. I knew this hit validation thing was gonna be stupid. As survivor, even against bad ping killers, hits that shouldn't connect were kind of consistent: a bit too far to one side, 3 steps away from the window, etc. As killer, I can't play my main Legion because Auto-Aim f**ks me over, but now this is gonna be ridiculous.
Also, The Twins are Legion 2.0, in the sense that 1 tiny mistake with your power and it's gone, boom, done-zo. That's my biggest issue with Legion rn (excepting the Feral Frenzy bug), so seeing a really cool and unique killer suffer from the same issue is kind of demoralizing.
-
@onemind said:
Ok so the idea for the twins are good and unique but here the list of why they are awful
1
killers need to be quick. what's that 5s slowdown for using your power and haveing to walk across the map ok
2 killers need to be lethal
Ok so let's make it where they can't do gens for 10s after the time it takes for you to hit the pounce ohh and it won't down unless they are injured already
3 they need to be semi discreet
Discreet ok charolets terror radius disappears when controlling vic and the screaming hel# spawn can be heard across the map
I could name probably 2 more things but I'm just going to give solution
1 reduce the stun from swapping to Charlotte from 5s to 3 this makes it when a survivor does a gen in your face you can wake up before they can get to the pallet or window
2 drop the aura reading idea and recall just down them after 45s the timer will be slower if in a chase thus giving the survivor a reason to take vic off and reward her if they dont
3 remove map wide sound for when vic is unbinded ,this dosent give them away in 10s
4 charollet keeps her terror radius and has an idle animation same as when she's controlling vic this reduceding the situations when a gen is finished in your face because they could tell you weren't there
5 vic's screeching is reduced until charging a pounce allowing him to possibly get a long pounce on a unsuspecting survivor
6 increase the time it takes to remove vic half the time it takes to remove vic is taken for charollet to wake up
This is just an idea I had while playing the twins what if after landing a pounce the survivors after 15s victor would pounce to another survivor in 10m of that survivor
I'd also add removing the ability to destroy Victor after downing a survivor with him. That's just kind of dumb
-
Wow. That's garbage
-
Playing a match is free bloodpoints
-
@Mandy said:
The problem with that, is that it leads to Survivors being able to get on objects that they're not supposed to be able to land on and then taking the game hostage from there...which is why things were changed a while back (am sure some people here will remember being able to Dead Hard from the Balconies on Haddonfield). It just leads to more problems.
I mean, there's a spot on Dead Dawg Saloon that you can get to with Dead Hard where you are essentially invincible. Requires precise timing and positioning, but you can get to it, and only way for the Killer to end the game with you up there is to down you and wait for you to bleed out. It's on that little cart in front of the gallows.
