Just a thought. With the Bloodpoint removal soon, the perk no longer has chili to go with it.
Everybody wanted this change, right???

First off, Dowsey is another killer main. Second of all, Off the Record absolutely is getting changed before live.
The fact that the devs didn’t realize how stupidly OP OTR would be when stacked with other endurance/2nd chance perks makes me 100% confident that they don’t play their own game in real world conditions. They’ll just tell us everything was fine in their internal testing and everything will go through the PTB unchanged

So by now we've all seen the dev update, and I can say most of these changes are incredibly welcome, so thanks BHVR! That said, with all positives comes their share of negatives, so let's get into the nitty-gritty of it.
A massive problem BT had for a long time was being used offensively rather than defensively. We all know that situation where someone gets unhooked right near a pallet, and while you want to go out of your way to not tunnel, the freshly unhooked guy just bodyblocks to force proc his BT so the rescuer can get away and they still get their speed boost on hit, forcing you to chase a guy who probably has DS anyway.
The new change to BT gives it way too much offensive potential with both increased duration AND a speed boost, so expect BT bodyblocking to become the norm. Off The Record will also pose a massive problem for the same reason in that the effect lasts 80 seconds. I understand you lose it if you touch a gen, heal, etc. but that doesn't cover the massive offensive potential that buff gives it.
Another minor gripe I have is that the Ruin nerf seems quite harsh. IMO it should either be 150% or simply not a hex. Locking it to base regression speed in conjunction with the auto-cleanse makes it outright useless, especially given the added incentives to kicking a gen now, like Call Of Brine and the Overcharge buff. I will absolutely agree in the new meta the current Ruin would be OP, but base regression speed is basically worthless.
As far as almost every other change goes, the dev update was pretty great! Thanks for listening to the community!
I really hate how BHVR is basically just caving in to the “survivor rule book” with these changes. They’ve been saying for years that tunneling and camping are legit strategies that are part of the game, but after constant complaining from survivor mains, BHVR changed their minds and you now no longer have the option play that way if you choose to.
I play both survivor and killer side, but with these changes I can’t see how I’m going to have anything but soul-crushing killer matches against SWF teams who will abuse BT and OTR body blocking as much as they can.
All these perk changes were made to reduce reliance on meta perks that were used too often, but all they did was create new OP meta perks that will be used too often. Like, who isn’t going to bring new OTR into a match?

A hex is designed to be a strong perk that can be quickly removed by survivors. We have a bunch of perks to help survivors accomplish this. Having ruin just auto destroy itself after a survivor dies seems weird for a hex (high risk high reward) perk. It makes the reward part have a limit but the risk stays the same. Honestly if they just removed the hex part of it and made it a normal perk till a survivor died would anyone be against that idea? My problem is ruin just doesn't have the power and just destroying itself doesn't make sense for a hex perk to match the downsides. Feel free to give your stance on it though!
Hex perks are already terrible against all but the most inexperienced solo q teams. Against any survivors that know what they are doing, especially SWF teams, hex perks are nearly useless. I never used them before the nerfs and now there’s even less reason to use them. NOED was an exception due to the fact that you could often down at least one survivor before it was found, but now that’s been nerfed to make it easy for survivors to find.

... then they should be basekit instead of being removed. removing the bonus bp just because you reduced the grind is a poor excuse imo... you should incentive new players to play, and this change will just upset people and increase the grind for the new players
The thing is that the BP bonuses are not a problem in the eyes of a vast majority of players. BHVR decided themselves that the bonuses are a problem. Once again they have determined that they know best about what the players want.

Let Hexes have full effect from the beginning of the game, but let The Entity only spawn in Hex totems 1min after the trial started max distance from all survivors and the killer, pretty much like Pinheads cube.
This alone would allow killers to always gain something from Hexes, while so inclined survivor groups could start the trial by cleansing any totems they see.
I like this idea. Another idea might be to give the killer the ability to light a hex totem which would transfer the hex from where it spawned by default to a totem that is hidden better or not so close to a generator.
In their current state, hex totems are basically useless against anybody but noob solo q’s. Even then, your totems will often spawn in plain sight or 3 ft from a generator

@EntitySpawn said:
So yes, the perk grind is being reduced HOWEVER item & addon grind will still exist and if you use to use BBQ/WGLF for the BP you can half your item/addon intakes.
It's great you dont need to grind for perks, just a shame the bloodweb will be filled with pointless BP offerings or meme addons you have to frind through without bonus BP perks to get the items/addons you want. Even worse if you split this between everyone.
While this mainly effects people who use to not prestige and use BP perks, I think base BP gains can be looked at.
I’m in this boat where the elimination of the BP bonus from BBQ and WGLF will make the grind worse. I really hope BHVR will revert this back, but I’m not expecting it to happen. Unless they do, I really have no motivation to play. I’m tired of the devs making changes that nobody asked for. I know they wanted to shake up the meta and I understand they wanted to not have players choose perks because of BP bonus. But it sure seeks like they didn’t get much community input on this specific change (or if they did, it was ignored). I’m willing to bet a vast majority of players who use BBQ and WGLF would like the BP bonus restored

What is the deal. Most people myself included have massive issues with the censor. Has anyone heard back from the devs about potentially fixing this? Its getting ridiculous. Oh to make it fun post your censored findings beneath. One of the strangest I've seen by far is Iri. Iri is censored in this game. I have absolutely zero idea as to why. As in how could it ever be used in an inappropriate way?
They just need to get rid of the post-game chat altogether. Its only purpose is to serve as a platform for toxicity. Best case scenario is that people will just say “gg”, which is completely pointless.

@HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:
At this point they need a full rework. Mending is boring for survivors but at the same time, playing what is probably the most M1 killer in the game is also boring for killers. You can injure people super easily, hell pretty much for free, but downing them is a whole different story. With literally no power to help in chase (in terms of downing power), no anti loop, and not even like they're short like Sadako to mindgame. There's just nothing there.
If someone believes another killer is weak about it I would love to hear about it, because IMO literally every other killer in the game has either anti loop or SOMETHING that helps them get downs. Legion is genuinely nothing.
He injures people but then... what next? After using frenzy and injuring everyone, you're just a hard M1 killer with nothing to show for all those frenzy hits.
I hope Legion gets removed permanently (I know that will never happen though). By far the least fun killer to play against. Right after the rework, every other match was Legion. Now it’s been a long time since I’ve seen them and it’s been great - hope I never see them again.
-
I think it’s a bit premature to draw these conclusions. We don’t know how all this will play out until the changes go live.
I’ve been critical of the devs about certain things, but this is a real attempt to try to shake up the way the game is played and I appreciate that.
Reading through the descriptions of all the perk changes, the only thing that really bothered me was the removal of BP bonuses for BBQ and WGLF. Those bonuses in no way affected the way the game is played and were used by players like me who wanted to use a perk slot to get more BP out of my matches. BHVR decided to take away those bonuses just because they felt like it, giving us the reasons why they thought it was a good idea rather than referring to anything that the players were asking for.

It doesn't. You may want to pre-emptively cleanse a godspawn totem if you come across it, but you definitely don't want to pre-emptively cleanse anything else unless you have strong indicators that NOED is in play.
Let me just lay the situations out...
Situation A: 5 totems cleansed, killer has NOED = NOED disabled, killer loses one perk. Does also mean a loss of 70 seconds of work, so it still worked as a slowdown.
Situation B: 5 totems cleansed, killer does not have NOED = Survivors wasted 70 seconds for no gain, making it work as slowdown without taking up a perk slot.
Situation C: 1-4 totems cleansed, killer does have NOED = NOED activates in full force, survivors wasted 14-56 seconds for no gain. Survivors still have to hunt down NOED totem in post-game.
Situation D: 1-4 totems cleansed, killer does not have NOED = Survivors wasted 14-56 seconds for no gain.
Situation E: 0 totems cleansed, killer has NOED = NOED activates full force, survivors have to hunt down NOED totem in post-game, same as situation C. however this time they did not waste 14-56 seconds.
Situation F: 0 totems cleansed, killer has NOED = No time wasted, no NOED in play.
Legitimately, pre-emptively cleansing totems is the wrong move in 90% of cases. I've broken more NOEDs by leaving totems up than I have by taking them down. The way NOED is currently constructed, it just makes it a mistake to try and cleanse totems, unless the killer is practically guaranteed to have NOED.
It is a risky gamble with a 14 seconds time investment to cleanse a non-hex totem. You are more likely to lose out than to gain.
This is not a comment on NOED balance-wise, but an explanation of something the devs seem to misunderstand.
With the new design for NOED, there will now be no incentive to preemptively cleanse totems because survivors will be able to find it almost immediately once it activates. “We like the way NOED encourages preemptively cleansing totems, so now we’re going to remove that incentive which was already weak to begin with”. Another example of puzzling logic by BHVR here

idk Guys, Even with these Buffs I don't see me Playing as Clown would get more Kills in Garden of Joy or The Game. You can take these Buffs back if BHVR actually addresses map balance. Garden of Joy still has 3 God Windows and a God Pallet while every Pallet on the Game is a Safe Pallet and etc.
High MMR Escape will stay the same imo. All these changes did is made Solo queue Survivors weaker while SWF power of Friendship is being buffed.
Yep, some maps are still broken. If you have a few strong tiles connected (which some maps do), you have effectively infinite loops for killers that have weak in-chase powers

I really wish the devs would keep the BP bonuses for those perks, but they have already made up their minds for us and have told us that we don’t want to use a perk slot for extra BP

Playing efficiently automatically makes the Killer played bad?
Apparently there is no way to not be a trash killer. You’re either trash if you camp/tunnel if you get kills, or you’re trash if you play the “fun” way and spend the whole match chasing a survivor while all the gens get done and then you get t-bagged at the exit gate and flamed in post-game chat

@Adaez said:
Do you guys like that an overused perk will no longer be used or you gonna miss it?
I honetly think the perk is dead in the water now.
Even if they made it so it wasn't a hex anymore,it would still be pretty bad.The perk was basically cut in half and received an extra downside as well with the perk automatically deactivating after you kill a survivor.
I personally believe they should either make it so its not a hex anymore and remove the part where the perk automatically deactivates.
Or leave the perk regression rates be the same as before but keep the part where it automatically deactivates after you kill a survivor and leave it as a hex.
I'm all for nerfing overused perks, but making them so bad that they wont be used anymore is overkill.
Hex perks are so unreliable that they need to have to have really oppressive effects to make them worth the risk of using at all. Devour Hope is a great example. That’s the only one that seems maybe worth the risk of playing. If you’re up against a team that has any clue what you’re doing, hex totems will all be gone in the first two minutes of the match. The fact that Ruin’s effect now is not very oppressive makes it a useless perk. In their rush to “shake up the meta”, the devs made some changes that they clearly didn’t think through a whole lot and this is one of them.
I almost never use hex perks anyway because most of the time they will spawn 5 feet away from a generator or just completely out in the open like a giant glowing beacon.

Hear me out.
I play both sides, mostly survivor because survivor is wwaayyyy less stressful than killer. Im also extremely altruistic regardless of role. I frequently get no kills but 8 hooks, and that's intended.
The problem is, if there are 3 Claudette's and a Nea, I can't tell which Claudette I've hooked. Give me a way to tell.
I know the answer to this: "it'll make killers camp MORE". What is that based on? Killers have never had hook states. Before the UI change they didn't even have a circle with total hooks. So how can you say something along those lines when there's never been even remotely a test of that.
BHVR, there's really no reason to hide hook states for killers. Tunnelers are going to tunnel and you're making drastic changes which are trying to address camping and tunneling (how effective is debatable and unknown since we haven't tested them yet). Give us a way to make sure we dont camp and tunnel please. Please?
Yes. The only argument for making the hook states not visible to the killer is that it will encourage them to tunnel, and it’s a terrible argument. If you’re going to tunnel someone, you don’t need the hook counter to remember who to tunnel. In my experience, forgetting who I’ve already hook twice and killing them inadvertently is what usually happens

Killer gets 10x more annoying to play because almost every killer has a limited amount of useful add ons. Annoyance and aggravation are not features. Just keep the bonus as a baseline incentive. Your players don't want the grind. Shuffling it around clearly isn't it. One killer game doesn't even get you one good add on for many killers when you factor in all the junk you have to buy.
This is exactly my complaint and why the whole “yeah but we changed the prestige system to reduce the grind” argument does not address the core issue for a lot of players. Playing killer is going to be a lot more frustrating now because you’ll get half the BP you did before the change and you still have to spend most of your BP on useless garbage just to get that one useful addon that you want. I’d be much happier with the overall scope of perk changes if it weren’t for this one idiotic change that unfortunately BHVR probably won’t do anything about. They’ve made up their minds about what you the players want, and that’s the end of the argument.
-
BHVR are going to keep telling us how awesome the changes are, even though everyone knows they just made the grind worse for a lot of players.
A lot of the past changes that they’ve that nobody was asking for were annoying, but I was able to live with them. This change has fully 100% confirmed that BHVR do not listen to their player base. It was the final straw for me and I think it’s time to take a nice long break.

There's one huge point you're missing with the new system: Once you've prestiged for the first time, a character's teachables are instantly unlocked at tier 1 and tiers 2 & 3 can be found in the bloodweb.
So in this hypothetical scenario where you're starting from scratch and only care about getting all perks on your Oni, you actually don't need to prestige all the others three times. You can prestige once with them and go right back to leveling up your Oni (even giving his Tier 3 perks to every other Killer in the process).
So the numbers would actually look like this:
27 * 50 = 1350 (levels to P1 all other Killers)
(84 * 2) + 39 = 207 (perk tiers to be found on your Oni)
40 of the bloodwebs will be between levels 40-50 and feature two perks.
So all in all, you'd need: 1350 + 207 - 40 = 1517 levels, the majority of which are smaller levels and not full sized level 50 ones, to get all the perks on your Oni.
And should you ever decide that Oni's not your cup of tea anymore and start working on your other Killers, you've only done an extra 57 Bloodwebs, so you haven't wasted a ton of time. The numbers very quickly start to turn in your favor after the first Killer.
BHVR are also missing a huge point. A lot of players( myself included) considered the BP point bonus from BBQ&Chili a major incentive for playing killer. And now you took that away. Thanks a lot
Will you tell us how many players were asking for BBQ’s BP bonus to be taken away? This was a stupid, stupid change and I’m going to play the game far less often (if at all) because of it

Unless the bloodpoint incentitives are going to give me at least +100% BPS per match, you’re making my addon grind worse.
I only have two killers that are prestieged at all. I’m so far behind the prestige grind, and there are so very few killers I play because of SBMM, that it’s a waste of time for me to prestiege more killers. Most my killers only had enough perks unlocked to be “good enough” for the pre-SBMM era. Unless you’re going to P3 all my existing killers out of pity, the prestiege rework isn’t going to help me at all.
Same here. The prestige system changes really don’t help players like me much. And now my grind has been made much worse with this change. This is yet another example of BHVR making idiotic changes that nobody asked for because they think they know what players want more than the actual players do. Right now I have zero motivation to play the game because of how disappointed I am with this change.

We're very aware of that (we actually mentioned exactly that in the dev update). However, we do not want people to always have one perk slot locked in just for bloodpoints. Your perk choices should be the perks you want to run, not the ones that make the grind manageable. There was very little reason to run other aura reading perks when this one gave both information and doubled your bloodpoints.
We made sure to pair this with a huge grind reduction and new ways to earn bloodpoints to compensate, but this is ultimately a step that we need to take.
I’m incredibly disappointed with this change and am now much less motivated to play the game. Yes, you made changes to the prestige system to reduce the grind. However, you have now effectively doubled the grind for players like me who use BBQ all the time with the goal of getting 2x blood points almost every match. One step forward, two steps back.

Like I genuinely dislike it not because i'm a survivor player and it's too strong, but I'm a killer player and I think it's useless 99% of the time when I use it. Anytime I use ruin it either A. spawns within 50 feet of the survivors and it's gone in 30 seconds or B. they touch a gen to test it and then it's gone a minute later.
I rarely ever get value out of the perk which I honestly never understood why people saw it as "meta" I genuinely think pop or call of brine is better. Yes you have to waste time kicking the gen, but at least they can't magically spawn next to said perks and remove them completely from the game as it seems to happen every time to me whenever I use ruin. (Yes ruin with undying is a thing but if I have to use a perk, just to get value out of another perk, it's really the combo that's strong and not even the perk itself).
On another note, I don't think survivors should spawn within 50 meters of any hex... or something like that because something needs to be done about bringing a hex totem just to have it gone within 30 seconds of the game starting.
I think all Hex perks are pretty much useless except against brand new survivors. I never use them because of how terribly unreliable they are. The totem spawns are usually terrible, and experienced survivors have no problems finding them. BHVR needs to really think about how to rework these so they’re actually worth using at higher levels.

Ok this event is the WORST thing ever it's unfair .
I was in a match and 5 gen's where done in less than 3 minutes. That is not acceptable , what's the point of playing then . Your just going to get gen rushed anyway. Even if you bring strong perks like blood Warden and ruin you still can't do anything. Either they get rid of ruin In 30 seconds or you cant even catch anyone to hang them to activate blood warden. You stand no chance as killer in this event.
I really don’t understand the complaints about “genrushing” as if it’s something that shouldn’t be part of the game. Completing generators is literally the objective of the survivor side, and why shouldn’t they try to complete it as quickly and efficiently as possible? Same goes for the other side and complaints about camping and tunneling. Complaining about how one side or the other completes their objective seems very pointless to me.
Instead, let’s talk about game design. Why are survivors gen rushing and why are killers camping and tunneling? Let’s answer those questions and hopefully make positive changes to the game based on the answers to those questions

Honestly pinhead doesn't sound to difficult to beat. But in practice i struggle so much against him. Most of them run lethal to start the first chainhunt like instantly. They changed it so you get hit by chains again when trying to solve the box. So on some maps i find it nearly impossible to solve the box. He catches up very fast by landing his chains on you. And most of my teammates just feed him the box. I am down for any advice to face him some people have. But i am a solo Q survivor now (since most of my friends left). Any advice is appreciated though! Not saying he's overpowered of course i always like getting advice for killers i have difficulty facing!
He’s not difficult to face if you have a coordinated SWF and comms. You can always have someone disabling the chain hunt, which makes him pretty useless. In solo q, you either have everyone going for the box (and no gens get done) or nobody going for the box (and it’s permanent chain hunt). Either way, he’s miserable to play against in solo queue

-Is it to protect feelings? If so then let players hide MMR so they can remain ignorant.
The only reason it’s hidden is because if it was shown, it would reveal what we all know already. Most of the time, the system doesn’t work and you’ll just get matched with the next killer/survivor group in line (which is done to keep queue times down).

Im surprised sprint burst isn’t getting nerfed alongside dead hard considering how both are very strong, while dead hard is definitely the perk that needed updating the most, the fact that sprint burst isn’t getting touched frightens me.
on the few occasions someone is running an exhaustion perk that isn’t dead hard, it’s sprint burst. Why? Because that’s also a really strong perk. It may be a bit weaker than dead hard, but if dead hard ends up gutted by the changes, people will just use sprint burst.
even if sprint burst gets nerfed, most likely, lithe, balanced landing or overcome will become much more popular and those are gonna become the new despised perks, and while they aren’t close to sprint burst and dead hard, because a lot of players relied on DH and SB, they’re gonna need new ways to help their chases and so just run them every match.
in general, i think exhaustion perks really need changes, something small like penalties could work as potential bandaid fixes, but i think exhaustion perks need updating because most of them are so strong, not running one feels like a massive downside.
I’d take Sprint Burst over DH all day long. At least with SB the survivor doesn’t get to “press E to outplay” after making a mistake and get to a pallet or window safely when you would have otherwise downed them
-
BHVR will never do anything about SWF on comms. The only thing that they could possibly do within their control is limit how many friends can load into the same lobby. If they start restricting that, a ton of people will stop playing the game.
Yes, SWF on comms is an unfair advantage, but enough killers are still playing the game, so there is no incentive for BHVR to take a risk and make a change that might cause a lot of players to leave the game.

I've been feeling this for the past year and it seems to be happening more and more. 80% of perks are bloat.
It’ll be like how Hollywood handled running out of ideas for movies . They’ll just start releasing sequels or reboots of old perks.

A lot of this just led me to question: Do people hate Hillbilly?
Well, to be more exact, is Hillbilly fun to play? Is Hillbilly enjoyable to face? And are there certain builds that people refuse to go against? Id just like to get some of the community thoughts about him.
I’ve complained a lot about the (completely unnecessary) Hillbilly nerfs, but I’m starting to get a bit more used to him. I’ve been using spirit fury and enduring, which has helped me get some chainsaw hits after the pallet insta-breaks.

I'm a survivor main for 90% of the time and an average killer at best and I'm always playing solo, I don't get mad when I'm losing and I'm not celebrating like a crazy dude when I'm winning, however there's something that always pissing me off, that's right, I got tunnelled or facecamped for whatever reason, except for being toxic, I swear I'm not toxic
The thing is when a killer plays that way, not only they won't get punished but they're getting rewarded for that, taking someone out as quick as possible, teammates wasting their time leaving gens to unhook me just to get back on hook, the easiest and cheapest way to get a kill, now it's 3 vs 1 and easier match I suppose, it's so unfair when a killer like me tries to hook everyone and end up getting 1k but the other gets ez 3k spending the least amount of skill and win
They say when you see a camping Bubba just do gens but I'm afraid I can't do 3 gen in 2 minutes he already got 1k and he's seeking for the 2nd kill using HEX:NOED and do you think was it really a fun match?
Shouldn't killers actually earn their kills by using their skill, I mean I believe a camper/tunneller doesn't deserve 1k
Playing as survivor requires way more skill and just one wrong move means death meanwhile camping/tunnelling are easiest way to get someone killed
I'm not taking it too serious but I'm trying to have fun how am I suppose to have fun when I'm dead on my first hook? and how that killer is satisfied getting one kill while he barely even tried? is he actually more of a skilled or what? I can't even understand how is that even fun for killer, this also creates more toxic environment if that's makes sense, DS is meant to delays the inevitable and not stopping the killer, Same goes for BT (unless if you're in end game collapse situation and these perks are life saviours) please consider punishing that playstyle by some rules or otherwise remove penalties camping/tunnelling is just as bad as DCing, both are meant to ruin the fun except campers/tunnellers/ getting rewarded instead of penalized
I'm not that much of a jerk, BHVR can buff killers anyway they want in the cost of punishing Camping/Tunnelling
All I want is to have fun and if I lose, I lose while me and the killer both tried our best, and I would cheer that killer for being better
My main point is: Unskilled play shouldn't lead the killer to win at all, Imagine me being bad and keep tunnelling/camping and winning but if there's going to be a rule that's stopping from doing that I'll be forced to get better instead of being bad
Camping/tunnelling should be legal when there's no gen left to patrol, that's understandable but otherwise it shouldn't be legal
I hope you guys can understand me, good luck and peace out
I think you lost a lot of credibility the moment you said “I’m a survivor main for 90% of the time”.
If you play killer more than just occasionally, and you start facing very good survivors and coordinated SWF teams regularly, you begin to realize that camping and tunneling are often required to secure kills. There simply isn’t time to play by the survivor rule book when you have to deal with SWF coordination, broken maps and an extremely broken 2nd chance perk in Dead Hard. It’s not a matter of killer skill but a matter of game design and math. If survivors are playing efficiently, it’s mathematically impossible to get more than 1 kill if you try to hook everyone equally. Add in flashlight/pallet saves and 2nd chance perks, and you might be lucky to get even that one kill.
I’m convinced that most survivor mains would stop complaining about camping and tunneling if they actually bothered to play killer more than just a few times.

I cannot find the masks because it's too hard to find.
Has anyone else cannot find it either because of it?
Just play killer and roam the map until you find it. Super easy to get all the masks playing killer

"With all the perk changes coming in it is fair to say the gen regression perks will be absolutely gutted with zero compensation"
It's not fair to say that at all. We have no idea what the perk changes even look like, and they've said they're going to make base changes, aka compensation
Yeah, I agree this seems like a major overreaction when we have no idea what changes are going to be made. I get frustrated playing as killer like pretty much everyone else, but nobody should be freaking out yet when we have no idea yet what the perk changes are going to be.

I have a lot fun honestly.
As survivor i am using more chill perks, not sweaty to killers. I am trying to get max bp i can get.
As killer i am chasing survivors for 8 hooks. I am not killing any of them (except toxic people). Farming is boring tho, so i am just playing normal but not killing any of them.
Most people are using flans, so we all getting so much bps and that's best part of event ofcourse.
It is great break to sweaty games for me.
It’s been pretty good for me too. Getting tons of BP every match is great. I’ve had a couple matches as killer when the survivors were SWF sweat squads. One I just gave up on, and the other I tunneled and camped to a 3K. On the survivor side, I’ve had a few matches where the killers were super sweaty and didn’t let up even after DCs or hook suicides. I don’t blame killers for playing how they want, but just know that if you do this as killer you are super lame and unfun.
Despite some bad matches, most have been pretty fun and when I play killer I’ve been extra nice except against obvious bully squads.

It does show the gigantic imbalance in favor of killers during events. If a killer tryhards, there is nothing survivors can do.
I’ve had plenty of matches playing solo queue during the event that went fine. Stop it with the “survivors can do nothing” nonsense. Everyone knows it’s not true and it’s why most people don’t take your posts seriously. Do you ever have a good match as survivor?

It defies logic. They could play a non-toxic game and earn double or triple what they do when camping but they choose toxicity instead. It just goes to show how large a portion of the community just plays to be toxic and cruel. I just don't get the mindset of people that take pleasure out of others’ pain. But no one can deny that many killers have this weird tendency to ‘roleplay’ as killer so that they can’t be sportsmanlike while playing killer… they have to be ‘evil’ on the meta level and try to hurt the actual players. Until the devs actually start punishing toxic behavior this will persist. It would be easy to punish camping and tunnelling more but they choose not to. And they could let survivors at least leave these toxic situations by surrendering in some way but instead we get penalized for DC’ing. I don’t know… this game is amazing when it’s played right but seriously, seriously awful when played with toxicity. I hope I didn’t break any forum rules by stating what I think is the truth here. If I did, I guess I’ll find out… Good luck enjoying the event everyone…
“The only acceptable way for other people to play is the way I want them to play”
OK, got it. Look, I also think it’s stupid for killers to play this way during the event. But seeing a lot of posts like this already, you and and the others creating similar posts need to understand a few things.
First, people can play this game how they want to play (within the rules), period. Other players are not in the game to guarantee that you have a fun experience. Maybe think about what is fun for them?
Second, not all killer players care about blood points and maybe they care more about securing kills.
Last, you need to realize that a lot of times killers will go into games planning to take it easy and try to “play nice”, only to get bullied by sweaty SWF teams. It’s very understandable that some killer players have gotten frustrated after trying to play nice only to get bullied repeatedly.
This goes for both killer and survivor side - if you only play one role or the other exclusively, start playing the other side too. You’ll gain a lot better understanding and appreciation for why the “other side” behaves the way they do.
