Why is pinhead so difficult to face?

Honestly pinhead doesn't sound to difficult to beat. But in practice i struggle so much against him. Most of them run lethal to start the first chainhunt like instantly. They changed it so you get hit by chains again when trying to solve the box. So on some maps i find it nearly impossible to solve the box. He catches up very fast by landing his chains on you. And most of my teammates just feed him the box. I am down for any advice to face him some people have. But i am a solo Q survivor now (since most of my friends left). Any advice is appreciated though! Not saying he's overpowered of course i always like getting advice for killers i have difficulty facing!

    Pre-dropping and ShiftW work well against him (any M1 Killer really). The box is meh in SoloQ, I never found it that big of a deal.

    Dodge 3 Chains and then start working on it and you'll be fine

    Pinhead gets a ton of people who just give up or throw a tantrum, I think it's an entitlement issue

    He's a killer with a game delay/map pressure ability and he can stack game delay perks. You can always win the vast majority of your games by making them take forever. His chase ability isn't overwhelming, but all it takes is one or two shaky survivors to throw a game.

    As a Pinhead enjoyer, i'll try to help you as much as I can:


    1. Pinhead's biggest strength are solo Q survivors with mentality "someone else will do it".
    2. Solving the box is easy if you know how. If you do it during chain hunt, DODGE the chains, they come in waves of 3 chains and then there's a break, it's for solving the box. You have to dodge them, if you get hit by any, the wave resets. 2nd way is to have someone bodyblock for you, but if you're solo Q, it's hard to find altruistic teammates.
    3. If you can loop, take Pinhead for a ride, he's easier to loop than it looks. Also because he's super tall, it's easy to see him over some loops. Break chains immediately if they hit you, so Pinhead won't catch up to you.


    Also if you meet a Pinhead on Garden of Joy, you can just give up, cube spawns are broken there, and chain hunt is unavoidable

    I would highly recommend trying to play him too, it can help you understand him a bit more too, so you can play mindgames with him

    It’s because teammates in SoloQ are too stupid and/or scared to work on the box. Otherwise he’s really not much different from other m1 killers.

    He’s not difficult to face if you have a coordinated SWF and comms. You can always have someone disabling the chain hunt, which makes him pretty useless. In solo q, you either have everyone going for the box (and no gens get done) or nobody going for the box (and it’s permanent chain hunt). Either way, he’s miserable to play against in solo queue
