  • I've been derusting my Blight today in customs.

From pure frustration in online games because I couldn't land a single rush because of my rust, went to smooth bounces and hug techs connecting every hit while autopiloting as Blight.

  • Is it really your birthday? If so, happy Birthday fellow Spirit enjoyer. ๐Ÿค—

  • It's extremely oppressive vs Solo while it barely does anything vs SWF.

Swf can call out when they go down, solo cannot and being useless for 25 seconds isn't particularly fun either.

  • That's a thing I learned when I used to be a Myers Main back in 2016/17 xD

The hand with which he grabs you is opened in tier 3 if he has either tombstone addon. That is the visual sign you can use to know if he has it or not.

    Wrong.

The opened hand is based on his current movement speed and not the Add-on he is using. Judith's Tombstone makes him slower in Tier 3 (104.5 %) that's why his hand is opened, same as in Tier 1 (105 %).

If he has Pwyf with 3 Tokens, his hand will be closed. If he has Tombstone Piece, his hand will be closed because he moves at normal 115 %.

  • I'd say a "Hit'n Run" Dredge with Malthinkers Skull can be really scary to go against. I only went against one of them. Other than that, I'd say he is below average.

  • Power Struggle.

When I have it, Killers always maneuver in a way where there are no pallets but as soon as I take it off, they go through pallets like they're on a mission to pass as many pallets as possible.

If by "support" you mean also playing and taking place, then sure ๐Ÿ˜„.

    Or what do you mean?

  • Anyone want to play in a few hours?

I don't get Ghosty complain on that one. xD

"Imagine relying on pallets" is similar to say "Imagine relying on blinks" - if you play as Nurse.

    Imagine relying on M1's.

    Sure!

  • You know what. We could make a Spirit club and play only Spirit with each other in custom games.

    @GannTM

You. I would join as well and OP. Don't mind my avatar, Spirit is still my favourite.

We need 2 more or we wait for bots.

Just learn how to pressure gens bro! You got a massive buff in 6.1.0 in the form of .2 second faster pallet breaking and weapon cooldown. You should be 4king easy every game!!!

It's actually .3 seconds on weapon cooldown. It's way to generous, how can Killers even lose these days smh.

  • I don't know what you mean. Intimidated by playing a character, like afraid of playing?

If yes, then no one. I don't feel intimidated to play a video game character.

Dislike, alot actually. The Killers I dislike most are those who play defensive or promote mass slugging and boring playstyles.

Hag, Freddy, Artist, Knight, Twins, Pinhead, Dredge are Killers I dislike the most.

  • I mean, you should never not M1. That's why Killers have the option to do so.

But I guess if you want to use Chainsaw only, prepare to lose... alot.

Other than that, just practice and use good Add-ons. Cuz M2 only with basekit Billy is quite difficult.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

And what exactly is the point of this Thread? You dont have to survive the Trial yourself, you just have to be alive while others are escaping. So you can be struggling on the Hook in second Stage while your team abandons you, you will still get the Challenge.

Or am I missing something completely?

I've actually never interpreted "survive" as "remain in the Trial" while the others escape but rather "survive" as "escape as well" while the others escape.

If that's the case, that's poor wording once again.

  • Probably not as a character but rather powerwise. I'd like to have Blight's power.

Running around and bumping into walls... wait, I already do that when I'm drunk.

  • @the_dempsy99 said:

jane so i could play with myself and nemesis so i could play with myself

You meant "play AS yourself" right?

  • We already have Selfish Care, which lets you care selfishly while breaking your teammates sanity.

  • I wouldn't touch Meg's teachables at all. Hers aren't weak but also not overtuned.

QnQ used to be cooldownless but it worked 90 % of the time, whatever that means. But I suppose that it had a 10 % chance of failing and alerting the Killer.

Edit: It used to reduce the detection range by 90 %, so it was basically useless if the Killer was to close aka in chase with the Survivor.

  • Tunneling is used for when the Killer focuses 1 Survivor to get an early 3v1. It doesn't matter who it is but it's mostly the 1st guy caught or the weak link. This is not bannable.

That what you described and if it's through multiple games, that's targeted harassment, which means that one is targeting a certain player to make their games miserable, which is bannable.

  • Did you cross snipe someone? Cuz that wouldn't count as a chase.

No distance requirement would be ridiculous. I think they should increase the range to 48, 64 at most.

After thinking, I agree that a flat 50 % with no distance might be a bit much.

Currently, RH heals 50 % of your missing heal progression. So it basically gets wesker the more you heal.

I was actually thinking that it healed 50 % of your already existing healing progress.

Anyways, how would it be if it gave a flat 30 % when someone else is injured within 48 metres?

So if you healed to 70 % then RH would heal you fully. It would be weaker when not having any heal progress but stronger if you have more progress.

Every killer they have released recently has been an amalgam of everything that came before it. The knight may be different but he's what Legion should have been.

Yes the machete is what is most associated with Jason, but he uses so many different weapons you really can't limit it to just that.

I've already stated and agreed that he'd just be another cop of already existing. It wouldn't mean that he couldn't be fun that way.

But having something original for a unique character like him would certainly be a bigger honor. The only original idea I've read so far is that the more he chases a Survivor, the clumsier they get. (get hindered, start stumbling across pebbles etc.)

But I don't think it's a good idea as it would basically promote tunneling while the Killer only has to hold W while in chase.

Not sure if promoting tunneling in a Killers power would be a good idea.

    Pyramid Head says Hi

Well, vs Pyramid Head you still have the choice not to step in the Trail.

Vs this version of Jason, you could do nothing, it's basically like getting chased by a Wesker while infected. You'd eventually get a huge debuff for no Killer imput whatsoever. At least Wesker has to hit you with his power, Jason would just need to hold W.

It's original, but a terrible idea.

  • Didn't know Nurse could warp to lockers.

    The more you know.

I am as above, I have played the PTB bots a lot since they came out and pretty much entirely to finally try killers I own but never played. Just to show how behind I am.... I FINALLY played Oni despite owning him since he came out lol (he is a lot of fun).

For me the bots are entirely for stress free practice/learning rather than suffering public matches. The bots do well but are probably not going to be that great for trying out weird builds etc, as they don't act like real human opponents in many situations. Still good enough to learn the basics of a killer though

I'm glad for people like you so you can try out new Killers.

I also cannot wait for them.

I think his power should lock onto a target and the more he chases that target the slower the target gets/or more clumsy. Like say in his power he is chasing, and the longer the target is chased the more they are prone to trip and fall

That'd make him quite good at tunneling and basically a reverse Bloodlust, making Survivors slower.

Not sure if promoting tunneling in a Killers power would be a good idea.

  • @SweetTerror said:

For me there are killers that I've never tried that I don't want to play online with because I don't want to sweat while I practice.

Perfect example, it's been a while since I played with the Legion and last night I decided to play a couple of games with him. The game was offering a 100% blood point incentive for killer so naturally I thought this was a win/win, but I couldn't have been more wrong. In the first match I went against a four man SWF. Not only did I not manage to get a single hook, I didn't even manage to get a single down. It was an absolutely abysmal experience. In the next match I managed to get one hook, but nothing else.

Again it had been a while since I played with the Legion so I needed to get my bearing straight again, but doing that against a SWF made for a horrible learning tool.

The one thing I definitely would like to try against the bots though would be different loadouts. I play on a controller, and I don't think using the same setup for every killer works. Being able to try different loadouts for different killers against bots versus trying that in live matches would go a lot more smoothly.

Defintely. I usually play everyone vs real people but it's certain builds which I don't want to try against certain people, cuz of stress or cuz I don't wanna feel bad.

I'll probably play more Blight and Billy vs bots as I'm extremely rusty with those. And for derusting, bots might be enough.

If you want to, you can call any killer added after nurse a copy cat of one or multiple of the before existing ones.

Jason has plenty of potential, sure nothing ground breaking new. But since DbDs core gameplay already limits the mechanics, this is not an excuse against Jason.

That's what I meant. Jason will just be another copy cat, which would be an unfortunate fate for an iconic character like him.

But I can't think of an original idea for him.

    Myers is unique.

Bubba is more or less unique in his own way, just cuz he has a Chainsaw like Billy but he plays quite differently.

    Freddy WAS unique.

Pig is quite unique as well.

Other licences after that became quite similar.

    Ghostface, similar to Myers

Demo is simple but unique I guess

PH is somewhat unique but similar to Demo with his M2, just deadlier.

Nemesis is PH 2.0. and weaker with a questionable AI reinforcement.

    Pinhead is actually quite unique.

Sadako is like a Wraith who can morph around the map.

Wesker is like a fairer Nurse with more restrictions and built in slowdown. (He's still fun though).

Jason is damned to become just another copy+paste, but I'd be for it. It doesn't mean that he can't be fun.

  • @Grigerbest said:

Jason might be a skin for Trapper. <_<

Maybe Feng will get a cosplay as well.

  • What would his power be? In F13 the Game he could sneak (Myers, Ghostface), throw knives (Trickser, Huntress), place traps (Trapper), morph to other locations (Hag, Demo, Freddy, Dredge, Sadako) and teleport towards a Counselor (Nurse, Spirit) and he could break windows to injure and slow Counselors (Clown to some extend).

Other than that, he is just a big guy with a machete. And we already have Trapper.

If you'd add anything from the above, he'd just be another copy cat of an already existing Killer.

I love bunnies! Do you breed em or just a collector haha

That's in Croatia at my my grand aunt's farm. We currently have only them, enough atually ๐Ÿ˜…

Oreo is the most iconic here. We also have a snow-white like but he was hiding as he's pretty shy.

  • Reactive Healing should just give you a flat 50 % on heal progress while injured whenever another Survivor is getting hit or downed (no distance requirement).

Poised should be token based. Everytime a gen is done, you get a Token. Press E to activate Poised for 15 seconds.

During that time, lose grunts of pain, scratch marks and blood pools. This consumes a Token.

Solidarity should transfer healing in a 1:1 ratio and should include an icon for teammates so they have an indication if someone has the Perk or not. And if you need Perk Tiers, increase healing speed by 10/12/14 %.

  • If it just says that you have to knock down Survivors, then you just need to down them.

But I'm not sure if things like Deep Wound bleedout or Honing Stone work as you're not actively downing them.

  • Welcome. Hope you'll enjoy your stay.

    Here's some bunnies:

Discordant is a pretty good perk that kinda counters the gen rushing and proof thyself meta. Most of the time a match will start with the perk going off within less then 10s and you could have your first chase by the 20s-25s mark.

Some insanely well coordinated SWFs could conceivable split up and pop two to three gens while you are in the first chase, but that's rather rare.

Whatever the case, gen 3-5 are usually teamwork and the perk should give you value at this point no matter what.

It doesn't really counter "gen rushing", it just tells you where it's happening. Now imagine you're chasing Nea and you see Discordance proc on the other side of the map. Will you keep on chasing Nea or go to the gen?

Probably remain in chase which means the info you get is quite redundant as you don't have to know where someone is as you are already chasing someone.

Don't get me wrong, I think Discordance is an alright tracking Perk but mostly for early game or while not actively chasing. For that, there are far superior info Perks as well. So personally, I find it quite overrated.

So it's mostly good on Killers who need grouped up Survivors, like Legion for example. What a coincidence.

  • @Katzengott said:

There're 2 scenarios where Discordance can be bad for you tho:

    1) Survs notice that you have it and they'll split to different gens

    2) Getting 2 notifiacations at the same time or from a very far gen

Exactly. Nothing makes me more uneasy than having 2 seperate Discordance procs.

I mean yeah, I know where literally everyone is but I also know that I can't be at both gens at the same time so I'll probably lose one of them very soon.

You're thinking of DBDLeaks not LeaksbyDaylight. LBD hasn't posted information that hasn't already been leaked by DBDLeaks in like 2 years.

Exactly. I confused those 2. Thanks for correcting.

  • @Laluzi said:

I really hope they look at this perk sooner rather than later. It just feels horrible to play against. No matter how many people tie themselves into knots talking about how Empathy or 'game sense' can tell you when one of your teammates is about to go down... it can't. There's no reasonable, reliable way to predict it. "Go work on another gen" only works if there's any gen the killer hasn't turned their attention to yet (or if I can actually complete that gen before the killer gets a down and patrols again), if telling me that I should let the 70% gen regress to nothing was a fair thing to ask in the first place. Stack on the gen? Bold of you to assume I can get my solo queue teammates to do anything, and doubles the fallout if the killer gets a down before it's done.

Mostly, it's like... if the gen I'm on blows up and loses 10 or 15%, fine. I can live with that, and I can immediately start working towards undoing that. But getting kicked off the gen and told I can't do anything remotely helpful for half a minute is just awful, it drags out the match, and it encourages mind-numbingly unfun playstyles of stacking gen kick perks and hardcore defending gens instead of committing to chases. Ten minutes into a game like that and I've completely lost my desire to keep fighting - forget the DBD tagline, death is a beautiful escape.

If anyone told me to "game sense" when a Survivor goes down I'd ask them to showcase.

Seems like a power that can only be learned by someone who isn't a Jedi.

  • I'd be for buffing the regression to like 12 or 14 % but nerf the "Useless status effect" to like 10 seconds.

That way it wouldn't be stronger vs solo and barely useful vs SWF but instead, it'd be almost equally as good vs both cuz 10 seconds of uselesness isn't that big of a deal. And it'd still remain quite good as a regression Perk.

  • You can't do anything except to accept that you will lose some matches and that constantly cherry picking teams will result in you getting burnt out quicker.

If you cannot handle certain teams, either overcome that fear or stop playing.

  • If it's not LeaksbyDaylight, which is stated to be Bhvr themselves (theoratically), I'd be cautously optimistic about that.
