I know this won't change your mind because you said that right at the start but the main issues I see here are these

    1. If a Survivor DCs to make the Hatch appear or open; the Hatch will not appear, or open (if it has already appeared). DCing is not a Kill or an Exit, and thus should not be treated like the Survivor was Killed or Exited the match.

If you are playing solo Q, you have no control over whatever your teammates do. Imagine there are only two people left, and your teammate happens to be a crybaby that gets mad because he got downed by the killer and knows he has no chance to escape. He DCs because he feels he deserved that win more than you, the hatch doesn't spawn so now you get killed because of this random guy. It sucks, and solo Q is already bad enough.

2.If The Survivor or Killer is within <x> meters of the Hatch; it will not appear, or open (if it has already appeared). They will have to move far enough away from the Hatch that they cannot open (or close) it right away.

If the killer is slugging the team, or just the two people left, there is no way you can make it out and back into the zone before the killer does just because of how slow your movement is. This gives a clear advantage to the killer to either move you away from that zone and go back to close it or to just leave you there to die because your only last hope of escaping wouldn't spawn.

The way I see it the main problem behind this "strategy" is the fact that people feel they can DC without consequences. Punishing those who stay until the end instead of those who are breaking the rules can't be the way to balance the game.

If the hatch hasn't spawned then it'd be anyones game. Ops fix ststes both would have to be away from it to work, so neither would know. This would actually improve solo q , because now the 4th guy wouldn't just find hatch and wait for the other to die.

And to be honest they can't really balance around solo q. As long as swf still exists the solo q argument will never win. Dc'ing to instantly open the hatch is unfair and needs to change.

In CS:GO if a teammate dcs or suicides the enemy team will get compensation money. This was to discourage people killing themselves to deny the enemy team kill money.

Same thing here, dc'ing to deny the killer time/hooks/bp should be punished. It's not the killer's fault here, if a survivor dcs then the survivors should be at a disadvantage.

In a perfect world where people don't abuse exploits it wouldn't be a problem. But they do, so it is.

  • Had a pretty intense game a while back as spirit. Long story short I was standing at the hatch waiting for the dead on hook dwight to surface. He shuffles forwards crouching the whole way. Then gently sets his toolbox down next to the hatch.  Idk what came over me. I was all ready to wait this out for a hard earned 4k. But the dwight giving me his toolbox gave me this https://youtu.be/rD6tD5-Wi-M?t=52 kinda vibe tbh.

I stepped back and let him pass. This game is suprisingly wholesome at times.

Sorry for video qaulity its the only one I could find of just that scene.

    Okay...here we go.

Trapper has lots of experience with heavy lifting, as he did work in his father's mine. Heaving up a survivor to his shoulder should be no problem.

Wraith has likely been working hard labor jobs since coming to America, so he's definitely got some muscle. However, it's possible signs of back damage are already showing, as you can see whenever he is standing still he has his head tilted to the side, as that is probably to most comfortable position for his spine.

Hillbilly has worked manual labor his entire life, plus he's already got a hunch. I doubt his father or others taught him proper lifting techniques and he had to just go with what was most comfortable/efficient.

Nurse has some sort of telekinetic force that allows her to break pallets and generators, so I assume she must be using it to pick up survivors.

Myers is pure evil. He probably lift people up without proper lifting technique just to make people angry because he's just so evil.

Hag seems to already be crippled slightly due to the cannibalism. However, she probably has some sort of hex that allows her to be able to summon some ungodly amount of strength to lift survivors.

Doctor is filled with wires and other metal bits, likely reinforcing his body and allowing such fluid movement.

Huntress has years of experience transporting kills to her home and has built up quite a bit of muscle in the process. If she can drag a bear through the woods for several miles, she lift one person off the ground.

Bubba should know better, as he has had years of experience lifting people in order to have a nice family dinner.

Freddy is a dream demon and is likely using his nightmare powers to make us perceive improper lifting techniques. The true nightmare was spinal damage all along.

Pig has likely rigged up some sort of lifting contraption in her arm to help lift people up onto her shoulder. She was to apprentice to Jigsaw after all, years of mechanical engineering could allow for such a thing.

Clown is probably numb on painkillers and other drugs he can't even feel the pain his back is in whenever he lifts someone up.

Spirit is an incorporeal being and as such does not contain a skeletal system.

Legion are still young and rebellious. They don't care about proper lifting because you're not even their real Dad okay!

Plague is basically rotting from the inside out and her nerves can't even function properly. Bending down and lifting is the least of her worries at any given point.

Ghostface has always been a troll and is doing it on purpose just for the lols. He's so meticulous if he wasn't doing it for laughs he has some other reason for doing it surely.

Demogorgon... I'm not even going to pretend to know the anatomy of a creature from the upside down, so I'll just assume it's doing probably upside-downian lifting techniques.

Oni is probably just full of adrenaline all the time from all his rage he can't even feel pain. Even if he did, it would just make him angrier and more powerful.

Deathslinger is already crippled with that leg brace. He probably couldn't bend over if he wanted. That's the only way he can pick anything up.

Pyramid Head is technically just a manifestation of torment and improper lifting is probably just meant to torment all that witness it.

Blight is just filled with whatever is in his serums, which probably increases his strength and pain tolerance allowing for him to lift survivors effortlessly.

Charlotte had been carrying Victor around inside her chest for most of her life. Not to mention all that scrap and junk in her bag(?). With the deformity from being conjoined and the back strength built up from all that stuff, I doubt it's much of an issue for her to lift survivors.

Trickster just loves being the center of attention. Lifting improperly is just one of his many was for eyes to land on him. Don't fall for it, it's exactly what he wants.

Nemisis was designed for abuse. He can take gun fire, rockets, and even acid. The guy can probably one arm bench press a tank. He's probably reinforced with so much stuff nothing can stop him. Not even a pulled muscle.

Man that really stretched my creative thinking.

    Bravo!

Do certain maps have higher likelihood than others to be played? Cause I've played Coldwind Farm once in the past 2 weeks, and Autohaven/Yamaoka has been chosen multiple times a day. Hell, I've played RCPD several times this week, but not one Coldwind map.

Consider yourself blessed, I get it repeatedly on both roles.

  • Dcs have made playing survivor unbearable lately. So many games lost because 1 or 2 people dc immediately after finding out the killer/getting downed.

Dc penalties NEED to come back asap. Had a game where a nea ran into my gen to go down immediately. Then she dcs and the killer goes straight for me.

Or another one on the game map where a jane was getting carried to the basement by a wraith. So I get to a pallet prepared to save her but as soon as he turns to the corner she dcs. Wraith then chases me for free pressure.

Its getting to the point where I don't like trying to save my teammates. They dc so often as Im heading to them that ot just wastes time I could've spent on gens.

Sometimes i am hating play Blight because him power is not working on some maps. Ormond still have problems (Slam is not working for some objects). Indoor maps are death for him. Coldwind maps are terrible for him.

I really don't know one day, will they fix this for Blight or not.

Trees on most maps seem to not work with him. Sad but true.

Clown is very strong in chasing if you are willing to put the time and effort into learning where to best use both of his gasses effectivilly.

He sadly also is very punishing and even the slightest of mistakes can cost you big time.

Hence why most of the community thinks he's bad.

I wish they'd change his speed bottle to activate faster. They said the delay was to bait survivors into going back. But in all my games with him I've never seen a survivor do that.

Not to mention that your bottles share the same count making switching quickly in a chase a waste of time. Which negates the usefulness of the speed in most situations unfortunately.

  • Got any links? I can't find it.

  • People on the forums have to have something to complain about. For killers atm its dead hard and for survivors its spirit.

Not to to long ago it was keys and j-flick. Someone has a bad game, gets mad, rhen rushes on to here to demand "justice".

  • I keep forgetting their even in the game tbh. They feel clunky and pointless in many ways. The anti-camp zone around the hook is surprisingly big which mesns you can't switch quickly.

Slow animations, mediocre playstyle, and (imo) hideous design just turn me away.

  • I haven't even seen a nemesis in about a week. And zombies are a minor threat if at all. The best thing about them is the potential information they can give...but thats it. Their first attack still only infects not damages, plus they can be easily blinded for a hefty stun.

Am I the only Blight player that doesn’t bring Tinkerer and thinks it’s too overkill?

Only bring tinkerer on serious matches. I find it messes up the pace of my game.

At 1st I was understanding when it was came to the DC's. Alot of people hate going against Spirit, so they'd rather go into, hopefully, another non-spirit match, but people are honestly just DCing against any inconvenience & using the "I won't be forced to play a game I won't like" excuse. I just don't understand. Why even queue up for a match if you know you're going to DC against one of the most commonly played killers??

As survivor I've had teammates dc because : first downed , missing a skill check , first hooked , hooked at all , Myers , spirit , legion , trickster , or no reason at all.

Those games were almost always failures, or incredibly painful.

Had one game where a nea sprinted into the bathroom on the game map. I had just started the gen there at the start of the round.

5 seconds later a bubbs comes in and starts revving up. So I book it out past him before he finished. But Nea tried to hide behind that little wall in there.

She goes down and immediately dc's. Well who do you think he went after then...

  • Midwhich for both killer and survivor.

    I just think its neat.

  • Bubbas and slingers can be pretty toxic. And as for sweaty its usually wraiths.

Onis on the other hand are usually pretty chill.

  • @Rem4019 said:

Hello! I would like to pass this on to you with the Hope's of you passing it to others!

To fix this bug you can actually just hold your rush button (LT, M2) or whatever bind you have and then tapping you basic attack button while still having your rush button held. This will make you immediately rush whether your bugged or not!

    Please pass this around!

Thank you kind sir. Hopefully they fix it soon its jarring.

  • Some people in here acting like this would make it easier to camp/tunnel.

If a killer is really camping snd tunneling they don't need a counter. They just hook someone and wait until they eithier die or get unhooked. They don't need those 2 notches to know what their doing.

The hook counter would only really help actual killers playing normally. Many times have I killed someone at the wrong time because theres four Neas that can only be distinguished by their different pants...

  • @Rivyn said:

I dunno about your experience, but I haven't seen Spirit in awhile. A few days, at least. Wraith more often, but in my case, it's licensed killers that take the cake.

Ive seen only 2 spirits the last 2 weeks. Now bubba or ghostface on the other hand...

  • Or like the "legion pin" that makes them broken for 60s if and ONLY if they are highlighted with killer instinct. Which means you can't apply it to a specific survivor unless theres another survivor nearby to stab first.

Which is all pointless because as legion I WANT PEOPLE TO HEAL. Its the only slow down they have. Meanwhile the "legion pin" is a green while the "defaced smiley pin" has the same requirements but applies mangled.

Which is what you want as legion , survivors wasting time healing while you injure them repeatedly. But no that one is a yellow rarity, less than the green pointless one.

  • As if survivors don't choose the same meta perks. So many games with borrowed time or dead hard etc.

  • I play both roles and as killer its meh. But as survivor its a death sentence. Its so annoying to have the first down dc while right next to you.

  • Its the same perk with same success rate . All thats changed is survivors can't expect 60 seconds of immunity after getting unhooked.

The amount of survivors who (fully healed) chased me down as killer to bait out a pointless chase. Or who just sat on gens knowing I couldn't stop them was insane.

It's a useful and effective anti-tunnel perk. It's actually balanced now and is confirmed to be just as successful as it used to be. Much better than the days where ds would activate after your first down.

  • The zombies for me personally are the only thing fun about him. But unfortunately even with his best speed addon they still aren't a real threat.

  • If anything this post only proves thst nothing short of gutting her would calm the masses.

Before her first nerf the complaints were no vault animation/prayer beads/collision during phase. So they changed it, they also changed her addon numbers.

Praises were sung and everybody was happy. Didn't last long though it seems since here we are again. Iron will was just buffed/fixed, which is what people were wanting.

But some people apparently have spent too much on pitchforks to give up now.

    To try out Trickster's changes.

Survivors should be expecting to against Trickster seeing as he's the main highlight of the PTB.

If you're disconnecting against a Trickster as soon as you go down, you probably shouldn't go into pub matches on the PTB.

Just saw the patch notes. How is he?

I honestly hate this map. It was better when it was dark. Why would anyone want a map during daytime? It just doesn't fit the theme of this game at all. Either put it back to the way it was or delete it.

I manage to get this map all the time...

    I hate it.

  • Inb4 people only que for clown/trapper/trickster...

  • Its fine as is. Spine chill also has no cooldown and can be easily used to counter it.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

Literally 99% of loops cannot be dragged around unless you set up a shot to do so and then the survivor can actually dodge it of they predict correctly.

    I see you like generalising.

    Ikr its literally a non-issue.

  • Monitor/stbfl/nurses/ and sloppy. Always a fun time. My favorite is playing this on corn maps.

  • I'm still upset about not being able to switch killers in a lobby. Meanwhile I still have survivors wait till the last 5 seconds to switch their entire loadouts by switching characters. I get that their "just skins" but its annoying to not be able to build around a 4 man flashlight or key build.

And with the Franklin's nerf keys can't be hard countered anymore. And tunneling is boring for me...

Oh god that poor Clown. He's new to the game too D:

OMG, you are just a complete failure at logic. I would have LOVED if he just hooked one of us. It isn’t the same. If he’s constantly picking you up and dropping you, you can maybe extend a chase a little… but how do you actually leave the game? You can’t fix gens, you can’t open the gate or escape through a hatch that hasn’t even spawned. So how, Mr. Wizard? How? How do you do it if he won’t hook you or even let you bleed out?

You seem a fine reasonable person for discussion so Ill leave it at this. The killer can only do it to one of You. And even then just wiggle out. Loop him, vault a window. You make it seem as though your locked in place when you get off. While your doing that it leaves your teammates open for free gens/doors/etc.

    The killer is not omnipresent.

  • @CountVampyr said:

It’s taking ME hostage. I certainly don’t have the power to end the game without disconnecting in this case.

According to that logic hooking a survivor can be considered taking them hostage. The only real way to take this game hostage is to body block an entrance or exit for an exuberant amount of time. Difficult to do nowadays thanks to egc (thank God!).

Wiggle goes up 20% for every drop. And the killer is stunned for a short time after a successful wiggle. Really this scenario can be easily beaten by (escaping a chase, having your teammate finish gens while the killer wastes time) .

The only way of preventing your escape or the start of EGC is catching you in one of the rare dead ends . At that point yes it is a hostage situation. As long as they block for the sole purpose of holding you there.

Finding Survivors isn't complicated. Intercepting them fast and getting your first hook within thirty seconds absolutely has value. The game sense, in this situation, comes from forcing the Survivors to fight from behind right from the start of the match. Most of this is theoretical, unless you have been in the PtB testing it as some of us have. My own experiences with the combination have been rather gratifying.

I see Your point, some killers could benefit from this. But it just feels insubstantial to me. If their not all grouped up Youll still be chasing one survivor. All in all it just gets you there faster.

  • Personally I don't see much value in it. Finding survivors isn't to complicated if you have good game sense.

Survivors should be able to pick themselves up when certian conditions are met. It's as simple as that. There's no possible reason the killer can't hook anyone once everyone is down, and to be perfectly honest there's only 2 killers that would get nerfed by removing mass slugging and they're both killers that absolutely need it.
