Which killers is the blue skeleton skin for?
I can't recognize them.
-
I've been maining Dredge for awhile now. And people always tell me they never see him hardly. Which shocks me honestly hes fun and strong imo.
-
I don't mind as long as its done right and not abusable . It definitely should not work if another survivor is nearby and should only start if a killer is idle or not in a chase nearby.
Making survivors unhook each other is the biggest and most important slowdown in the game. If swfs can abuse this to bully killers they will , just look at the recent locker/flashlight situation .

undetectable hides her terror radius and red light, doesnt mask her super loud noises or her phase "terror radius"
directional audio is super easy to pinpoint her if youve got a good headset
the map wide phase is essentially just the sound but not directional (i think it removes all directional phase sound as well, but the addon doesnt say that [it mightve been a bug that got fixed at some point tho, outside the normal phase sound range it 100% isnt directional tho])
Thanks!

Just jumping on to second this. Found a recent video on Tiktok over it as well. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT82bxv4c/

I've had several close games so far. Survivors who are good at looping are still good at looping. And gens can still fly on large maps or if you over commit to one person.
I feel like many people just weren't prepared for a huge gameplay shift like this.
I will say that as someone who hates ds, and as someone who remembers when it could be used with no restrictions. It does infact need to be buffed back. I rarely ate ds before this update and it was easy to avoid if you had to. Also the new grind is rough imo.
But honestly I've felt more free to use unorthodox or uncommon perk combinations since the shift.
And I've even seen survivors using some as well. Somebody got me with flip flop yesterday. I can't even remember the last time thats happened. I just wasn't expecting it.
I like most of these changes. A few rough spots but nothing in need of major changes. (Besides the grind)

Honestly just slug at that point, so long as they aren't running No Mither and Soul Guard.
I hate to slug. But I guess its time to embrace it in these cases.
-
I wouldn't mind it as killer if it gave me full credit for all hook stages.
Trying to get certain achievements or difficult tome challenges is super unfun when someone kills themselves on first hook.
Same with DC's
-
I don't really want to see moris taken away. They're part of the charm and make the bloodweb exciting to progress in (besides just gronding for a specific build).
But the main problem is the lack of choice. Many times I've downed a survivor only to let them go because of a last minute change of heart. Some of those have been very wholesome and fun experiences.
I don't like having to insta mori them the second I down them. It kills the charm of the game. Keys and moris were both recently balanced so I don't see why they need to change.

This is actually quite devastating for Spirit players. Your camera is literally shoved up her butt or her crotch, so you actually cant see survivors very well even if you..uh...tried.
Some survivors even can move before you can even start looking at Lethal...
I swear its always ass when the pan starts on her. Never get that with other killers.

@EntitySpawn said:
Or people can learn to play without a perk to correct mistakes.
DH is the reason alot of killers are made weak (basic attack killers). Saying we cant change a perk (just the distance) because people rely on it too much is stupid an entitlement.
They did that to ruin not to long ago. It was almost base kit for most killers till the change.
-
@ManyAchievables said:
It wouldn't really change a whole lot if they didn't lose any of their power, but yeah, it is pretty stupid.
I'm not saying its life changing. But damn...why?!?
-
I've had this happen 3 times so far as well, seems to be on some hidden timer. All were mid chase and around 20-30 seconds into it.
-
Not to mention if you do "win". You'll get spammed with abuse. And then they all look up your profile just to leave -rep , like seriously...

I think just making the snowman costume cosmetic with no gameplay changes is more than enough to fix the issue Killers have without removing any of the fun of the snowman costume.
I love the snowmen. Most fun I've had in awhile on dbd. But they should definitely not offer any protection.
That mixed with basically nothing special for killers to do really sslts the sugar.
Thankfully I've met mostly nice survivors being goofy. But had a few dead harding into snowmen for the extra hit. Although if your clown you can just hit them with a bottle to "pop" them.
-
I will miss it very much. Always love the indoor maps. It also had an interesting layout and design which was fun.
And the rat cage routinely scared me as killer.
-
All 4 survivors can have a boon. And I've seen boon sqauds who all have CoH. And will replace the boon the second you leave. And with the new unbreakable boon which would combine with coh or the others. Its going to be really unfun.
They should have a hefty cooldown at the very least if they continue giving them strong abilities...
-
Iblove kicking them but I've only gotten haste 1x. How do they work?

People (rather hastily) complained about NFTs because they were concerned about the possibility of locking gameplay content behind cryptocurrency. The environmental impact it has was a minute complaint.
Also, there's a difference between pop culture memorabilia and the stupid concept of somehow purchasing rights to a JPG.
This! ^
In this case its a physical object, an actual obtainable item.
Where as an NFT was just a glorfied digital image.
Besides funko clown is a nightmare I need in my life.

True. But thanks to them many characters that never had a chance at memorabilia are able to represent themselves that way.

"######### are you doing" and "Good Job!". Interchangeable.

If a boon totem is cleared by the killer is should be deactivated for the remainder of the game. That's how it works for killers, and the killer only has 4 perks. Where as the survivors have a combined 16!
-
They’ve had years to make keys more balanced and fun, and have done next to nothing. I’m tired of loading into a match, only to go against someone who has 10 hours in the game, because they’re playing an item that takes zero skill. It’s just easy mode, which should not be in a competitive game.
Let us have fun please, instead of forcing us to go against this garbage!
-
If it happens naturally or was a genuine response, then yea we cool. But I've had sweat sqauds before where the last person will try and boop the snoot as a last plea for mercy.

@Phasmamain said:
It’s kinda dumb if I’m being honest. Having an easy injure every chase for no downside is quite useful
I mean its easy to miss, is predictable, and can only injure healthy survivors. Not to mention the slower channel recovery and then still having to catch up to the Survivor.
Its more like a less reliable huntress hatchet.
-
Thank you for the replies. It still seems like a pointless system imo. But atleast I'm no longer grasping in the dark.
-
Steam could but not BHVR although they could weigh in I'm sure. But as far as user made guides on steam go its a non-issue.
-
Had a period awhile back where I'd stomp with them regularly. The power was fun and it just felt right.
But one day I logged in played a game and lost the taste. No idea why, the game didn't even go badly for me. I just stopped enjoying it. No idea why...
-
I've had plenty of survivors get fussy with me about coming back to the hook. Mind you I dont tunnel the unhooked unless they get in the way or to knock them down for time.
My main goal as killer after I hook you is to start a bew chase asap. And if bbq says someone is nearby Ill check. Also many times I'll see scratchmarks nearby and search for them as well. Or if no gens are being done I'll head back to the hook area to try and find someone.
Yes I know certain killers proxy camp hooks. But that just shows a lack of confidence in their abilities and can be easily exploited.
-
Had a an endgame build on clown. Noed/Bloodwarden etc. The map was Hawkin's and the gens had flown by effortlessly. Before the last gen was finished I downed a girl and hooked her to not seem suspicious.
They open a gate and proceed to wait and teabag. Especially a Feng who kept running out and running back in. I stood in the hallway facing the wall to hide my stain. I used the auras of BW to watch for my chance. The second that Feng's aura disappeared I sprang into action.
I chased her and downed her just barely with my lunge. I immediately hooked her and went back to the gate. They hadn't tried to leave because they wanted the save I guess. Only when the Dwight tried to escape did the scattering begin.
It was glorious. Pure joy.
Thats why you should just leave.

I just realized that Pinhead is the only Killer who doesn't have a held weapon in his hand (technically Hag & Demo have a nice Claw that cosmetics can alter & make distinct) for a Prestige effect to really stand out xP. Mostly head & body is what people will notice.
Nemesis is weapon free as well. Just shows his whip every so often.

A few minutes ago, DbD's Twitter just posted this:

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Z6WJL7Z0WMTB/screenshot-6.png
That is quite unmistakably an S.
What does it mean?
Is it a teaser?
A name?
Crotus Prenn? (seems unlikely, as it's capitalised, and glows in the smoke)
Saw?
EDIT:
At what I assume is the same time, this was also posted on other platforms:

Notably, it seems Ace is trapped in a cage in the bottom left. Also of note is that when comparing the board itself to how it appears in-game
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5C64D38JPHJQ/image.png
On the Facebook image, Circus is spelled with two i's -- Ciircus. In-game, that typo doesn't appear. It can also be said that the ii's vaguely resemble candles. Take that as you will.
S & I...
Leaked by datlight says pennywise. But most definitely the next killer is hinted to be a clown.
Also good catch on ace! Most likely a joke though.

Devs don't do this.

Came across this player who had the last charm in the rift already, now I know there can be people with absolutely nothing going on that already have that, probably.
But they also had the book from what I think is the 3rd version end charm in the tomes....sooo yeah hacked charms I guess?

If its in the rift they can pay their way. As for the challenge board no idea.

I just can't get the hang of it, and it's incredibly frustrating to me. On PC here. Both with Oni and Blight, whom I really want to get into them, but I just can't figure out how to flick the hits. I miss most of my chases with this, leaving me an M1 killer much of the match. Oni just smacks whatever's in front of him, and Blight drifts before smacking.
I try a quick flick of the mouse, but it doesn't work, aside from once in a blue moon. It's odd, as I can see the flick with Pyramid Head, but not these two. I really can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong here. What's the timing here?
You'll need an adequate mouse pad to make it easier. But mostly just choose a sensitivity you like best.
Then at the end of your dash or lunge just turn fast towards the target.
Just practice it and you'll get the feel for it. After awhile you won't even need to premediate your hits, it'll just be natural.

How am I abusing it if I try to heal myself? Or if I tap a gen for a split second? A perk that is supposed to give you a chance against a killer that chooses to tunnel deactivates if survivors play the game. It's bullshit. That does not still work as usual. They should have made the perk deactivate if the killer downed or hooked someone else, which would very much be NOT tunneling. But they didn't do that. I'm surprised it doesn't deactivate if you vault a ######### window now.
If a killer is truly tunneling then don't jump on a gen. If a killer comes back and sees you on a gen next to the hook its not tunneling. If you have time for a gen/heal your not being tunneled.

They still can abuse it by jumping into a locker to bully the killer and to get a guaranteed escape during EGC. Free escape during EGC is not "protection against tunneling", and unfortunately it still works exactly like this.
True but doing gens in front of and following the killer around has largely died out.
-
It can benefit if a person has a key, or if getting a person out of the game is top priority. But generally thats if you have severely screwed up your early game.
Unfortunately I often see it used by killers who don't feel confident enough to play the game. And use tunneling to get atleast 1 kill.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/270892/why-is-ds-even-a-skill-check-still
The perk has been destroyed, so congrats to killer mains. Not only do survivors now get punished for playing the game, it's useless on console. I stopped using it and just run Borrowed Time now. I wish my teammates would do the same. They've been complaining a lot about DH and Iron Will lately too, so those should be the next to be destroyed for survivors.
I still see it all the time. Still works like usual, even the devs said the stars are largely the same. All it means is now survivors can't abuse it. Its no longer 60 seconds of free gens, or guaranteed safe unhooks.
Still destroys tunneling like it should.

Most I play her us for daily tasks. Idk she just doesn't appeal to me. Same with twins but thats because they feel clunky.

I would make the idle menu spitting animation play less. Otherwise hes fine.

Spine chill exists. Nothing else needed.

Brutal Strength, Enduring, Overwhelming Presence, Iron Grasp.
For him so many perks are interchangeable though. Hes just a massive angry muscle.

Midwhich is easy to learn after a few games. Rcpd on the another hand has too many dead-ends , and tiny side rooms to be in a game like this.
-
It shouldn't even give survivors a buff. Its the only killer power that gives the survivors a buff in the game. In a close chase or at a pallet valley its useless and pointlessly risky for how abysmal Clown already is.
And with only 4 bottles (shared) it mean you'll be reloading and giving up distance/time more often than not. Its bad design.
-
The term "unfun" has lost all meaning on the forums nowadays. Its a blanket term used for "anything i lose to".
Blight uses those perks because they work well on him. Just like legion will use thana, or doctor would use distressing. Besides the fact that totems are easy to find, and survivors have plenty of perks (not to mention maps) to find them.
-
Major Payne from Major Payne as a survivor.
Chain Chomp as killer.
