What do you guys mean by he needs to be faster? He is a 115 killer.
Honestly I think he is fine for the most part. He comes with quite a bit of tracking in his base kit. His power is pretty decent. Yeah people can use the antidote but there are only 4 on any map. Yeah he isn't the next s teir killer bit does he really have to be
I think because he has counter play that makes him ######### to the forums. Only issue are these stupid zombies that keep getting stuck in the terrain especially on Saloon.

I mean I could see how people would think it's boring. You're kind of taking away one of the only 2 options a survivor can use against a killer, but it's definitely not overpowered and not even that good of a perk. People should not be complaining.
Yeah I only see it used on 2 killers. Clown and Bubba. And im all for deleting Bubba from this game cause he makes bamboozle not fun to go against.

I made a post about this yesterday and apparently he needs to be in the center of your screen. It's BS to me because of how inconsistent it is.
Actually it isnt the center. you have to look slightly above his head. it works 99% of the time for me.

It shuts loops and takes away any ability to play around them. No skill needed, just hop over a window. Even a shack pallet goes down after a while with the perk being active. It performs too well in a 1vs1 chase, you need to burn through pallets to avoid going on the ground.
Bamboozle needs to be changed immediately, it ruins any sort of ability to prolong chases without dropping every single pallet you see!
Nope. This perk is perfectly fine as it is. Only killer that makes this perk annoying is Bubba but Bubba is cancer to verse no matter what they run.

I mean to be fair a lot of people say "use iron will to counter Spirit" which just proves how broken BOTH this perk and the killer are. And im all for nerfing Iron Will and Spirit. Iron Will is so brainless a monkey could use it and Spirit is well...We all know what Spirits like :).

I'm not sure if i'm oblivious to something or what but it's been about 5 games in a row that i've been straight tunneled by killers. Most between the ranks of 12-15. The common tactics are waiting for the hook cool down time and specifically ignoring those who weren't recently hooked. Normally this isn't a problem as I play all the time but there seems to be a significant increase in this manner of playing.
Not trying to start any fights here, just want to make sure if i'm imagining this or not. It's becoming quite frustrating to wait for a game just to get a killer who plays like that.
FWIW i'm not playing with any toxic builds (SWFs, DS, Flashlights, etc).
Nah I dont think you're oblivious I have seen quite a lot of tunneling as well and I play around purple to red ranks.
Also little side note DS, SFW and flashlights arent toxic its how you use them. And again ive said this many times on the forums SFW isnt inherently toxic its again how the people choose to play. God damn

After playing many hours of killer and survivor I can safely say. Bubba.
Every time I verse this killer they all play the same cancer way.
Every time I play this killer I just cant get him to work. Only way to play this cancer is to play like cancer.... Out of all the killers this guy needs a flat out rework.

So, do you really want to Talk about tunneling - Camping and Slug? You, survivors, are the reason for Killers to play like that, If you weren't a bunch of M1 spammers, rushing or trying to Rush every damn game, things Will be different.

The devs just don't care lol and they favor the killer main community since they call those "viable tactics" however there are times when patrol camping is appropriate and times when a killer might focus on a survivor who is carrying the team. I'm gonna assume when you say face camp and tunneling it's just from the get go they hook one person and only chase them when they get unhooked. So many of y'all gonna come at me for this but if the killer has to play that way from the beginning then they are just pathetic and weak lol.
Preach my guy. There is a time and place to tunnel and camp. but doing it right from the get go...it's happening more and more.

- No you haven't.
- If you have, it is because a bunch of whining Survivors who were angry they can't use DS to do objectives in the Killer's face chose to stop bringing it. When nobody brings DS the Killers don't get an Obsession (unless some other Obsession Perk is in the game). That means Killers have no reason to be concerned about whom to hit. If Survivors start taking DS again, it will have an offset back to where things were before. This assumes you are right about the increase (I don't think you are).
- There are lots of ways to combat being tunneled, but Survivors are unwilling to use them. Safe rescues, taking protection hits, trading hooks, Borrowed Time, etc. There used to be a thing where Survivors spread those hooks out among themselves to win the game. What I have noticed, both as a Killer and Survivor is a marked decrease in being willing to put oneself at risk in Solo. :) If they do a rescue, they vanish like Ninja as soon as they unhook and make no attempt to protect the person they just rescued. In fact, I've noticed they will unhook with the person they are saving between them and the approaching Killer. I've even seen them use the person they just rescued as a meat shield.
It is the JOB of Survivors to protect each other and prevent Tunneling. It is not the Killer's responsibility to do the Survivor's job for them.
1-yeah man really dismantled my argument with that one.
2- I mostly see console players so they even use the end game chat (since I live in AUS) so I HIGHLY doubt these console players can "whine" and like I said in my post the better way to nerf DS was to stop survivors working and gens and hiding in lockers cause thats what killers (myself included) had issues with and lastly There was a reason DS was mandatory and you cannot play dumb. You're telling me you've never EVER seen a killer play more tunnely if they didnt see any obsession symbol? (Why do you think BHVR added it to the game as a permanent symbol) and yeah dunno what rock you're living under but yes tunneling and camping has gone up cause funny enough most end game builds dont run D strike anymore. I'm going to choose to believe you don't play survivor all that often.
3-You're joking right? Safe unhooks, taking protection hits you do realize those things do not stop tunneling right? Only 1 thing you said actually stops it and thats BT but guess what man you know what that leads to? A perk becoming mandatory like D strike was. Just like how BT is the only way to combat camping (outside of gen rushing) A perk should NOT be mandatory to stop tunneling or camping. Survivors that use the person they just unhooked as bait are either A)Bad at the game or B)Trolling and yes that should not be encouraged cause thats awful survivor gameplay. But what about people who do play the proper way? Safe unhooks and even bodyblocking? the killer will have 2 choices target the person who took the bodyblock or just go for the person just unhooked spoiler alert that doesnt stop tunneling.
How do survivors prevent tunneling? Am I typing at him in end game chat to not do it again? Am I reaching through the screen and taking control of his keyboard or controller? Should I click my flash light repeatedly? Should I T-bag? Should I play like a toxic player to try to get him to stop being toxic? It seems I have to repeat myself. Tunneling and camping are no longer viable strats (unless its end game then its go for the throat at that point for both killer and survivor) Tunneling and camping gives the least amount of BP and nothing to you're pipping and that fact people are still saying its a strat to use baffles me.....

First you need to understand how Spirit thinks, and the best way to do this is by playing her.
1. If she's not phasing throw the pallet down. This will force her to either brake the pallet, or determine if the loop is mindgameable to her standards. If she breaks the pallet "leave". If she doesn't count to 3, and walk in one direction. If you don't get hit than shes fake phasing and you need to run/walk in the opposite direction.
2. If she's phasing than you need to scramble your sounds. Run in a circle to scramble your scratch marks and sounds. Double back over your scratch marks. Fast vault than slow vault back.
3. Be unpredictable! Most of the times spirit will see scratch marks leading to a safe area which is when spirit will be like. "Well those scratch marks are going towards the shack and the window is right there"
I think it's telling that you will either get hit at that pallet or nothing happens....Man....Such counterplay XD

I'm sorry but there's nothing that's gonna be done about tunneling and camping because those are strategies that are part of the game. Yeah it can be boring when it happens to me but I just accept the loss and move on. It's not gonna happen every game.
Okay but counter point to this. Since the DS nerf I have seen a MASSIVE increase of tunnel and camping killers so no that argument doesnt hold up anymore. Either revert D strike so we can actually combat being tunneled and camp (All the nerf should have been is stopping them from touching a gen or hiding in a locker) or find a way to stop them from camping and tunneling with out the use of a perk. cause "Those are strategies" doesnt work with the current pipping system they aren't strategies anymore not since the emblem system was added. Sure it's not happening every game but its happening more than you think it is.

There is nothing to solve. They are accepted tactics that Survivors need to learn to play against.

I mean...tunneling and camping already HAS a counter......D strike. Yet every killer complains about it even when survivors do use it the intended way....But I don't think people are ready for that type of discussion yet.

Honestly we all know the toxic survivors takes. Tbagging and such. However it seems rare to come across a toxic killer. But boy when you do you know it. Just had two back to back matches where the clown and Oni downed me near the exit gate and allowed me to crawl all the way through. Then at the last second pick me up, carry me to a hook, and repeatedly hit me till I died. I didn’t do anything to them or act toxic. Side note: it seems when the killer is also a cross play killer and knows you can’t message them then that makes them extra toxic. What are your toxic killer stories?
"Rare to come across a toxic killer" okay as funny as I found that statement they are more common than you actually think. since I play both sides a lot its not that uncommon to find toxic killers. but I'll share one of my many stories and also quite a recent one.
(just gonna put this story with a bit of context)
load up into coal tower going against a wraith. He was pretty sweaty that match so myself and the 3 other survivors pretty much tried our best against this killer. Long story short we got all 4 gens done but by then only myself and a jane were left and noed just cleaned us up. He did tunnel quite a bit since later I found out none of us had D strike. Then comes post game chat we all say our GG cause it was a close game. The wraith on the other hand decided to be quite an entitled A hole and call us sweaty SWF and proceed to call us toxic for....Trying to win. If you find it rare to come across none toxic killers then uh.....I'm kinda jelly.... :(

Live communication trumps any meta build you could put together, as well as any Sweaty nurse or Spirit. Apples & oranges. I’m a survivor main, so I’m definitely not entitled. What a killer “eats,” won’t make you “#########” as a survivor, so stop getting jealous if they get extra points. Besides, this is just my suggestion and i already told you- you don’t have to like it. You’ve already made that abundantly clear more than once, so move on.
I mean you're the one that replied to me after my comment so clear you dont want to move on and second you clearly missed my point about why you're idea is awful.
Like I said you are giving the killer free BP just cause they are versing something THEY dont like going against so by you're entitled logic If I am going against something I don't like versing I should be entitled to extra BP. This is as simple as it's gonna get cause you REALLY REALLY sound entitled.

Killers have to endure a lot more hardship when they play SWF. The amount of threads on here of killers not enjoying playing against them (like this one) is telling. Why not compensate them for having to play those sweaty matches? As for the “duos, trios, & 4 mans,” that’s why i say make it more BP per SWF person. A killer would get the max at 4 man or 2 & 2, and the least at 2. If its 4 solos, then the current BP. It’s ok not to like my idea, but trying to balance for SWF makes things much worse for solo que players. Besides, all the survivor nerfs in the world can’t combat communication. I’ll even go as far to say leave SWF BP as is, just increase killer’s. What’s it to anyone if the killer get more? It’s not affecting you so don’t worry about it. Enjoy your communication advantage.
Okay so lemmie get this straight because something is very hard to deal with the killer should get more BP to compensate? Okay so if I a survivor go against a sweaty nurse should I the survivor get extra BP since a god nurse is near impossible to beat. OR lets try your logic another way round. If I a survivor is running a very fun build...let's say "Flip flop, Tenacity, Unbreakbill and Soul Guard" and I go against a killer using "Nurse's, BBQ, Ruin and Discordance" should I get compensated extra BP as well? Saying "It only affects killers so why do you care" is stupid you're giving killers free BP for....doing nothing? Cause again duo's and trios exist and popular to belief not all SWF are sweaty try hards some of them just wanna hang with their friends. There are plently of people of dislike versing certain killers I see people complaining about Freddy, Spirit, Nurse, should they get extra BP cause they verse something that causes more hardship? Your idea is super entitled.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2160541#Comment_2160541
so you want survivorsto be rewarded a free 5th perk slot (comms) just because they chose to play with friends?
But killers get nothing for SWF?
seems fair
Alright wanna hear your logic? So if I a survivor go against a god nurse I should then by default be given extra rewards cause it isnt fair that I verse something that is difficult to handle. That is your logic. Let's use it again shall we? You're playing an FPS your team is full of randoms while the enemy team is a full 5 man using comms. By your logic your team should be given extra rewards because the enemy team has an advantage with something that is out of the games control. You're logic is so unbelievably entitled you're no better than the survivors.
-
@KerJuice said:
SWF breaks every asymmetrical game. Communication trumps any nerfs or buffs. SWF should get reduced BP & leveling up per player, and the killer should get increased BP & leveling up per player- for his troubles.
So basically you want killers to be rewarded extra BP just for playing? Buddy do you understand how many players are actually SWF? Duos, trios and 4 mans. Your idea is awful.

@Judgement said:
I think it’s a Survivor perk done right. It negates a major downside of a gameplay mechanic and increases the punishment of failing said mechanic - Skill Checks.
You don’t make a boom when you fail? You lose more progression when you do. That’s a good downside for a perk that says ‘no’ to failure already. Even without skill checks it makes gen repair quieter.
Perks don’t have to be meta to be good. Perks with downsides to their use can be good (ie, Deception doesn’t let you fast-enter lockers when you take it, but can trick the killer into checking, or For The People that makes you Broken for an instant heal). Technician is more for skill checks for newer players who have trouble hitting them but it can also make generator repairs quieter... which in the current state of the game doesn’t make a difference since generators flash like strobe lights when they’re being fixed.
I would actually make Technician get rid of the electricity flash of generators being repaired as well as reducing their audio range. Even then, it would be kind of niche because it would only work on indoor maps and Killers kick generators that don’t regress anyway.
the problem is I think the benefits of this perk dont equal the con of this perk. it's only 8 meters in hearing and what killer isnt going to check around the gen? New killers arent affected by this perk (unless they are like....super super bad) and after not playing for quite a few months and coming back I dont see rank 20's running this perk. Again nothing wrong with a perk having down sides as long as the pros and cons actually weigh the same.

Ok then so you would advocate for more penalties. Like addimg a dc penalty for killing yourself on hook, which again has the problem of not being able to determine if it was intentional or not. Also for afk people automatically removing them from the match and forcing a dc penalty after a certain amount of time.
Im not saying that at all cause it would be impossible to tell what person DC'd on purpose or by internet issues. What im saying is this current ssytem we have legit does nothing.

I personally don't think they are. I mean, if someone wants out, they're just going to kill themselves on first hook and make the game worse for everyone else anyway.
Besides that, I don't really think they're necessary since I just see this as a casual game. Sure, it sucks that someone DC's, but I just don't see it as bad as someone DC-ing in Comp matches of other games.
(Obviously though, not encouraging DC-ing. I don't think it's good for someone to DC every game or anything- but I don't think having the DC Penalty really does anything to alleviate that problem or make it better, besides forcing the people who want to DC to kill themselves on first hook and throw- which still ruins the game for everyone.)
Yeah the DC penalty didnt really do anything. People just changed the way they do leave the game (dying on their first hook) and this isnt even including ways people were able to abuse the DC penalty.

honestly its up to you if you want to stay behind and help or just leave. Don't follow the rules of "No man left behind" you'll just end up losing your escape and giving the killer more points.

As it stands, people can use it once per chase, they get to 1 more pallet than they would have before, and your chase is longer for it.
If you really think a token system would be better, I'd love to see how you'd fare in that chase when they can extend it three times based off tokens. 4 survivors, each extending their first chase 3 times. You'd have your first down at the EGC if you're having trouble with it once in a chase.
Holy hell someone with a brain.

Sure, after the game they claim you are a hacker until they actually read your addons, but its really fun.
Those addons can change the hags playstyle completely. Thats a way better use for an addon than many other killers have, who partly have to take certain addons to be viable at all.
Sounds like you are playing against rank 30's if people can't counter that addon.

Something I wouldn't mind seeing is once the gens are finished survivors would need something to help traverse the fog right out the exit gates. Sort of like those lanterns from the lunar event few years back. They fix gens, have to search for a lantern (thered be enough for all 4 and more than 4 spawn to avoid killers hard camping the lantern) and then they run to the exit gate to leave. It doesn't sound like much but I still think its better than nothing.
