They spawn under a random hook and they will wander.
Certain loud noise events will attract their attention and they will walk towards it.
Fast vaulting, Gen repairs and fast-locker enter/exit. Also flashbangs and pallet drops.
Their detection radius is pretty small but can be improved with an add on.
-
From what it looks like, you cannot complete the challenge until the Community one is done.
I think it's pretty bad design but they would ofc lock the only cool skin (Dredge) behind tedious objectives for and call it a "community event".
-
What do you mean?
She got a really hideous c**k vein skin that
iswas locked behind an Amazon Prime membership.Totally worth the money.

Just stuck in "Searching for Game" on both sides for 10+ mins

I'm not sure why people are disagreeing with changing this.
Having killers bloodlust you around pallets is already kind of annoying, but at the very least it means they can't use their power or they reset the bloodlust timer. Dredge gets to ignore this since he can keep channeling his power and never lose bloodlust. Which means that even when you are forced to run away from the tile, Dredge might already be moving faster due to bloodlust so you can't even punish his bad use of his power.
Yeah not sure why people are defending this either...
People keep saying "Well it takes awhile for bloodlust".
So? Imagine if it was Huntress or Trapper getting Bloodlust after putting away hatchet or while setting a trap.

While holding your power you move at 3.68m/s, which is the same speed as when you’re carrying a survivor.
The issue isn't how fast he's moving while holding power.
It's the bloodlust you retain after dropped your power. While moving at full speed + bloodlust.
Ignore me if this is already known lol.

Bloodlust takes awhile to kick in, if you have a killer hitting multiple tiers in bloodlust you should win unless your teams not doing gens. Plus the drege moves so slow while holding his power you can easily get to a new tile.
Cant say iv had any issues versing him, had fun surprisingly
While it does take awhile, if you initiate the chase then get to a loop in about 5-6 seconds, you will get a bloodlust while you mind game with your power.
When you let go, you retain the bloodlust.
not a huge deal but seems like a bug
-
To clairfy: It is retained while holding your power, not when you teleport.
Still: very strong doing the anti-loop revenant trick.
-
Don't overuse the teleport when it's not nightfall.
It's very slow. Just play him as an M1 Killer, with occasional teleport, until Nightfall.
-
Tin foil hat time: They removed him for a future Knight/Medieval themed Killer
-
Huh. I thought 8 meters was even closer than that.
Good to know!
-
I guess OP is referring to the Nightfall effect at the end of the game.
Makes it very easy to find the survivor/makes it hard for them to find hatch/gates.
But honestly there are way more oppressive Killers at the end of the match.
-
BBQ, WGLF and don't unlock trash perks on other Killer's/Survivors.
Besides this, the grind is a problem that will need Dev intervention to fix. It has been confirmed they are working on it.
-
Issue 1:
While it may appear you are lined up perfectly with a distant Gen, even a small variable will increase as distance is travelled.
Think about cutting a piece of paper. If you make even a small error, it will cause the whole cut to be off-kilter.
Issue 2: The distance to damage with the crow is quite short. It is indicated by the trail when you place the crow.
However, if it hits any object before a survivor, it will turn into a "mark" crow. If it even goes through a small object, it will turn into a mark crow.

Doctor has a perk that shrinks his terror radius, despite having a tracking power that directly synergizes with having a larger terror radius.
At least with this one your TR is increased in a chase. You can still do a large shock mid chase.
Yes, not ideal but it still works. Dredge perks simply will not work while your power (Nightfall) is active.
-
Dredge has two TR perks and an Undetectable part to his power...
Kind of an oversight.
-
There is a god window on the first floor Kitchen.
You have to go miles to walk around it.
-
I think it is more difficult to modify licensed Killer's, even their unrelated powers to the source material.
Small number tweaks maybe but I think Sadako needs more.
-
I really enjoy the Nightfall sound effects.
I can see why it would upsetting to some people but honestly...There are some things you should just expect in a "horror" type game.
Moaning, crying, screaming... Kinda comes with the territory.
-
Ooof yeah that's a major oversight.
-
I agree. Nova Scotia here and would be nice to have a decent ping match.

So what? Three times in 2 matches? I honestly don't think that falls under the category of "not hard to do"
Glad you agree <3

The Back Off! Challenge was bugged for me too.
Stunning Wrath while cloaked with Head On apparently doesn't count as a stun.

How often does this even happen without Never Sleep Pills? It doesn’t seem like it actually works that consistently. Never Sleep Pills let you get the fifth hit more often, but it also takes longer because of the lower speed, Legion spends 60-90 seconds just going through that chain of hits using that add-on and honestly one down per minute or more is not overpowered.
I specifically said small maps. And it is common enough. Its really not hard to hit 4 people. You get a speed increase after each hit and you can hit the first person after they mend.

If you're team is THAT grouped up together, something is wrong and you deserve that down
It's really not difficult to hit 4 people, even spread out on a small map (please note I already said large maps don't apply to this). Legion also gets a speed increase after each hit. AND can hit the same person after they mend. Again, it is really not hard to do.
Happened to me twice on Haddonfield, and another on Saloon.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Legion is alright. Their style did not even change lol. Frenzy is feeling better, that's all.
Legion still need to chase you for second hit. With Dead Hard, it's third hit actually.
Except when he is on the 4th hit and insta downs you, regardless of health state.
I think if they just removed this unnecessary addition, survivors wouldn't mind it as much. Not a big deal on huge maps but small maps it happens often.
I find Legion OK when you compare to Nurse/Blight but his playstyle is really boring. Deep wounds is non-gameplay.
-
It's really weird to see everyone saying "yOu jUsT aReN't pLaYiNg rIgHt" when you literally mention Plagues Power being bugged which I experiences many times too.
This has nothing to do with perks or balance. A Killer POWER is not working correctly, meaning Plague cannot be played to full protentional.
-
If it's not a legacy skin (which was confirmed by Mod) then it is 100% a charm.
Pass. Charms are so worthless.
-
Mmmm yes and no.
Yes because it's similar to Spirit and that he can "return" to his Remnant for pallet mind games.
No, because Nurse exists. Who doesn't need Lockers and a much shorter CD.
Great mobility but not the best. Also, its surprisingly slow the actual teleport animation. Slower than Demogorgon methinks.
-
I'd rather have a useless perk than a game-breaking exploit perk.

The Blendette Brown shirt is a nice touch too <3

Any videos been made with Benny Hill music? The thought is hilarious.
Check out some old Friday the 13th videos. They had proximity chat. Seen many Benny Hill hilarity in that game.
-
Lights Out mode.
Much darker aesthetics, and a more focused Hide-and-Seek style game and more "unique" hiding spots/lockers.
Likely one hit, one hook, one kill. But perks would need heavy reworks to accompany stealth based gameplay.

Looks like a crows talon gripping an art knife

When you equip Mad Grit for lulz and a Sabo Sqaud joins the lobby:

They shouldn't have to, but if you have ever played as a survivor when someone DC's, you know how crappy it is to play.
Regardless, the onus is on the person who DC's, ruining the game experience for all remaining players
-
Everyone is asking for voice chat... I really don't understand why.
Sure, some people would use it as intended. Others would spam racist obscenities or just simply play troll "Benny Hill" music at max volume.
They just need "Doing gens" indicators and stuff so a Solo and SWF aren't running to a hook rescue at the same time. Simple.
-
I'll let the last one go if someone has DC'd on survivor team.
I have let many people go and (sometimes) people remember :) feelsgoodman

Dowsey made a video on this. Was hard to tell if it was an April Fools joke but considering people have reported Spirit Bots before, maybe not.

There is a clear win condition for the Killer. Literally t he screen says at the end of the trial if the Entity was displeased or not.
I am really getting tired of the amount of people saying this game doesn't have clear win conditions, or "you gotta make your own win conditions". No. There are clear win conditions, but you can choose to ignore them for your own.
The Killer's job is to please the entity, or else the entity punishes them with torture. The end of the match the first thing you see is if you pleased the entity or not, and an idea of just how well you did the murdering.
Survivors is pretty easy to understand. Escape. It's the first thing you see at the end of the tiral if you died or not. Now sure, some people change that win condition to more escapes for your team, or how much impact you made that match.
Some people leave their victory up to pipping or not - cool.
But the game does tell you if you win or not.
Hi!
I get what you mean by there are clear "entity pleased/displeased" game results.
The point I am making is in situations where you played well but the results may not reflect as such.
What if you did 4 generators, opened the gate but then got hooked and died. Did you lose? The result says you died so that says yes, you lost. But you did all the objectives and secured your teams escape. Sounds like a win to me?
Same for Killer. If you hook everyone twice, with no Kills, The Entity is still pleased (which makes no sense Lore-wise btw). Is that a win? A Killer getting 0 Kills? It doesn't make sense.
Sure, there are emblems and "Entity ___" but I am talking about how the player feels.

I'm a bit confused here. You say that killer's enjoyment of the game is waning which is why they face-camp - but can any killers please explain to me how face-camping is fun? Even if you don't kill anyone, surely chasing after survivors is more fun than hooking them and just standing still for a couple of minutes until they die. Someone make it make sense!
I will gladly explain!
Face-camping isn't necessarily creating "their own fun" it's more "protecting what little I have accomplished this game".
It's an ego thing. It goes back to what I said: You (as Killer) as solely responsible for every decision you made, including mistakes.
Face-camping (in the Killers mind) is protecting what success they did get in a game that (likely) has been very challenging for them.
Hopefully this makes sense!
-
Playing Killer in Dead by Daylight is truly a difference experience than many other online team games.
You are solely responsible for each and every decision you make as Killer. This isn't League of Legends where you can say "My team sucked" or "Jungle never ganked". If you lost, it was because YOU (the Killer) played poorly.
Any enjoyment also has to be created by the Killer. There is no clear win condition for Killer. It is not concrete for survivor, but much more clear.
I say all of this because it's truly Killer's enjoyment of the game that is waning. Taking balance out of the equation, There are too many tedious things stacked against them to create their own enjoyment anymore.
Notice an uptick in face-camping? Directly a result of this.
Essay aside, I agree with you. I wouldn't use the word "cater", but all the enjoyable additions (lately) are Survivor based.

Also, I find his add-ons a pain in the head (har har) to understand.

Well I am a pyramid head main, so twins add ons seem almost good in comparison...
Fair enough lol. Least you can pick up a survivor within 20 seconds of downing them.
-
Twins are still the most ambitious Killer with the best power design in the game released yet. (imo).
Problem is the god-awful launch, massive bugs and ridiculous limitations they have put on them and their powers.
Add ons are also a joke. Best add on is still the brown toy sword (which was recently nerfed).
-
If one exhaustion perk is being used way more than any other exhaustion perk, there is a balance issue.
I could say the same about the 5-7 meta perks in the SEA of about 100+ perks but that's a whole other discussion.
-
They have a PTB, for 2-3 weeks and push content to live without proper testing.
Idc about them having weekends off. Everyone deserves days off.
I care about a proper product, I paid for, working properly with a game I also paid for. This is getting absurd. Every Chapter is like a Willy Wonka Glass Elevator of bugs.
-
I'd say "a pretty good job so far" but even the tired jokes are tired.
