    Hello

I am here to ask the community what to do against the Twins. Since they were released, i have not even survived this killer a single time and every game ends the exact same: Everyone slugged on the ground.

I am not a terrible survivor by any means, my winstreak as solo survivor is above 40 escapes in a row in red ranks and i have about 4K hours in this game. So "git gud at looping" is not helpful.

Because of the problems i have with this killer, i checked youtube and competent streamer for some tips, guides etc but they dont really come up with anything useful. The best i found was Dowseys 4K Streak with the Twins (200 in a row) but while watching him, there was nothing the survivor did that helped. They all got destroyed over and over again and i could not see any play that would even make him struggle a bit.

Dowsey himself suggested to pair up, but as solo survivor, its easier said then executed.

So, maybe one of you here can help me out? How do you survive the twins?

    Kind regards

Hi. Slugging is very frustrating but there are some perks that can help with that. We're Gonna Live Forever, Unbreakable, Tenacity, Soul Guard. Not a perfect solution but it does help.

This is a common complaint from high rank survivors as slugging is almost necessary to create pressure. It is unfun but it is what is it. Until the Devs make 12 hooking viable....

Best advice I have seen is travel in pairs as survivors. If Victor knocks one of you down, the other kicks him and heals you. Try to coordinate with a survivor and stay healthy.

not every killer is trying to go hard 24/7 compared to the relax survivors that can do gens. an applying pressure is becoming a meme at this point an i should not be force to run specific perks out of all 30+ perks nor play a specific killer out of the whole roaster. can injured survivors not do gens as fast as healthy survivor or install the trail warm up already? even slowdown perks like thana an dying light are pointless. may come off as complaining but gen speed it making it difficult to enjoy killer without being on a 6 min timer againts good survivors or those who are not as good but use specific perks an map offering to their advantage.

While I agree gen speed goes fast at high ranks with competent survivors, the devs have slowed down Gen speed in the last year or two.

Great skill checks only award 1% progress instead of 2.5% (Quote me if this % is incorrect pls) in previous years. There was also a nerf to survivors working together on the same gen. Prove Thyself was also reworked.

The devs need to be very careful with any changes to the survivors only objective. Even small number changes could cause a lot of problems.

  • Thank you everyone for the suggestions.

I think using some gen perks + Midwich offering would be good for learning.

oh it'll halve or get even faster for them around then briefly, when the next killer dlc comes out. How long they'll enjoy that brief period of quick queue times will depend both on how fun and interesting that new killer is and how much more killer role has been nerfed by then. It could last a few days, it could last a few weeks, but it'll be quicker survivor queues briefly and then it'll bounce back down a bit closer to whatever level it was at before the new killer came out once people lost interest or burned themselves out again.

    Pretty much.

Queue times were fine when Twins first dropped. But after 2 weeks it went right back to 10-15 min queues. I am sure this has nothing to do with how unfun slugging is.

Matchmaking has been extra bad lately and someone made a post about it. I can only hope they are doing some internal tests.

  • No one is playing Killer.

Its incredibly frustrating playing against higher rank survivors, half the killers have no pressure and/or are unfun to play and when you do have a successful game, you are told to #########.

Devs can cater to survivors all they like, it does make sense. But I would not be surprised if queue times double for survivors in 3 months unless something changes with matchmaking and rank.

  • Hmm... Did this all happen when you were controlling Victor?

Maybe Nemesis doesn't work while your controlling Victor. Some perks like Tinkerers won't give you any indication while you control Victor (last I checked; they might have fixed).

There is a reason for this: Victor is a Killer Power, not a Killer.

  • I believe they said all limited-time cosmetics will be available for purchase 6 months+ after release.

I remember reading a post discussing the exclusivity of cosmetics.

  • @freddymybae said:

I assume Freddy with his addons and thana but what other perks would slow down hen repair speed

Dying Light also reduces repair speed assuming you meet the qualifications.

You can mix it with Nemesis or Furtive Chase to swap obsessions, or just eat a DS. This lets you (potentially) stack 8+ Dying Light Stacks.

Besides that and the ones you mentioned, I cannot think of any other speed reducers.

  • People quickly forget how silly this game was when it first game out...

True infinites, no entity blockers, Sprint burst recharging while running, TWO windows in Shack...Trapper putting traps under Hooked survivors feet. This is just to name a few.

The game is much more balanced than it has ever been.

Is there still balance issues? Of course. But I am happy with the direction they are heading, albeit slowly.

I'm curious, what happens if you're in a locker once the EGC timer runs out?

You auto exit the locker, then get killed by the Entity as per EGC.

When they announced EGC as a feature, they even mention Lockers in the video. You can check it out on Youtube.

    Poor Dweet...

  • I still think Laurie's is the worst.

    Ultra-shrill.

    All the real life comparisons.

-In real life you can see your limbs and body on a regular basis, in game that is barely a thing if at all.

-In real life it can affect your mood, social interactions, etc.... much less so in a game.

-You can feel different IRL based on what you are wearing, doesn't really work the same in a game.

-Everything is physical and tangible IRL, not some digital good; so it can have all sorts of connections for you, or even be unique to ONLY you if you want to have something made or make it yourself.

    etc, etc....

I just don't like the comparison to IRL because there are too many differences.

    Thank you, I agree.

Not to mention putting effort into your appearance and/or clothing can have real positive impacts on your life (think nice tailored suit in a job interview).

I can understand the point the person was making, but comparing in-game cosmetics to real life fashion and appearance is a stretch.

  • @Killmaster said:

Why do you buy nice clothing in real life if you can only see yourself in a mirror or photograph? 🤪

Interesting perspective! But I respectfully disagree.

Clothing serve more of a function than for other people's opinion. There is comfort, warmth and social norms to consider.

If you wear a garbage bag dress everywhere, your physical and social life will suffer accordingly.

You neither lose nor gain anything from regarding Killer Cosmetics.

I understand it is the same vein of thinking though!

  • It is easier to hear breathing on different Killer's as well.

Huntress is noisy as f**k but Deathslinger just lets out sighs.

I recall this being a big problem for OG Leatherface who would hear the chainsaw idling at all times (I think you still do but it is much quieter) There even were (still are?) Add-ons to reduce this noise.

Don't worry. The basic attack requirement killed the perk anyways so you will see it maybe 10 times per year at most.

It is pretty sad to see Almo still defend the change by saying "Well, if we removed basic attack requirement, we would have to make sure it interacts well with every Killer [power] we release onwards"...

Yes? That is how new content should work? Isn't that the whole point of teachable perks? (seeing the effect on other Killer powers).

  • Many Killers have similarities to real life serial killers. Compare Clown with John Wayne Gacy if you will.

But yeah they will never add real life people for obvious reasons for which I am thankful

  • Genuine question: why is being toxic okay for some people (typically streamers) but frowned upon in general for everyone else?

  • Usually I am just leveling a side character with bloodpoints. Use all the time I can in lobby

Switch to main survivor for favorite perks/cosmetics.

  • People complain about it because it is, once again, the power a single survivor can bring to the entire team.

The point of Hex perks is a high risk, high reward. With Rainbow Map(s), you remove the "high reward" it is found almost instantly.

You are correct: A good combo for finding totems. But Undying/Ruin is wildly overrated vs competent survivors and Rainbow map makes it laughably weak. Not even close to the power of Keys, but I understand the complaints.

Add Maptech window jukes (doesn't have to be rainbow), and you start to see the picture

  • Also, if you see the claws moving and wiggling, it means the obsession is being chased.

    Two whole games, wow!

I had two whole games of Survivor yesterday that were enjoyable. Still hate playing Survivor because as a whole it's boring, unintuitive, toxic, and all around unfun.

Lmao. Why are you so hateful? A self proclaimed "Twin main" bashing on someone who is simply trying to enjoy a Killer they like.

Do you hate yourself? Maining a Killer you despise? And you hate survivor too! You sound fun.

  • Although I do understand your point that paid passes should reward you with exclusives, this is BHVR's direct response to a post awhile back regarding just how much you would have to play in order to unlock everything in the rift.

I believe someone worked it out that you would have to play a minimum of 6 hours IN GAME time (not including loading screens, queue times or result screens). That is an absurd amount to have to play to get a cosmetic.

    A mixed bag for sure.

EDIT: 6 hours of game per day.

  • @TheWarNung said:

It was implemented as part of a plan for a future update that would've allowed survivors to grab a hatchett and hack the killer to pieces.

Survivor mains were insistent that it was the only way to balance the game, but the devs nixed it because it was too buggy.

Ah yes. Dweet is still in there; sharpening his hatchet.

  • @xenotimebong said:

Maybe the hatchets are there for some other reason, and Huntress is just the only killer that knows how to / likes to use them.

    I like this idea!

I'm pretty sure Victor does get crushed if you don't make it in 10 seconds.

Exactly! He does get crushed after 10 secs of holding. All I suggest is successfully blocking someone should allow an instant shift to Charlotte instead of the 3 sec delay. When Victor is crushed while controlling him, you regain control of Charlotte instantly.

Like I said, this might be a bit too "killer-sided"- Open to feedback.

  • Not good.

Only "counter-play" I can think of it leaving Victor on a lower level and using his tracking to chase them off the roof with Charlotte.

Not much of a counter considering how much time you will waste doing that.

Chalk it up to another Haddonfield nightmare

  • I would like to see the transition to Charlotte instant; as if they crushed Victor.

    It makes sense as:

A.) Victor may be crushed if they get out of the locker anyways

B.) You are already spending time with the locker search animation itself

But perhaps that would give too much time to get there? Regardless, it should be "killer-sided" as you are only jumping in a locker as a last resort 90% of the time.
