BHVR being like:
"We see no problem here!" 🏒😎⛸️
-
Her Call of Brine perk is surprisingly good. I mix it with Oppression/Enduring/Spirit Fury.
I hope they release more perks with no cooldowns.
-
Damn... Not sure.
I'd do a bug report. For all the good it does.
I am sure they will fix it sometime in 2024
-
Console? I've seen videos of the stuttering and lag console players have to deal with.
No clue how you put up with that.

A. It wouldnt, many other games have this without any que issues.
B. You disable the unranked mode for ppl that have a certain devotion level (account level). Would also reduce the amount of players to be split from the ranked mode.
C. Ye they will never admit it xD
Yeah the games that have those two modes usually have triple quadruple the player base. Like League, Dota, CSGO, etc.
This game is too niche to have multiple game modes. This is pure speculation of course but I think raw players numbers wouldn't support the function.
Now if there was a completely new game mode like a Prop-Hunt or something, that would be a different story.
-
If this Killer was released a year or two ago, I would be very impressed.
Now that we have so many Killers, the similarities are very stark to notice and they really need to understand:
"Why would I play X Killer when Y Killer does it better?" This exact line was used during Trickster release (Trickster vs Huntress).
You can only enjoy the theme of a Killer for so long before you realize there are better options.

Simple solution: Unranked mode
But ye well it is what it is sadly, a friend of mine got dbd steam shared from me recently, she will also start playing a few days and I already feel sad for her, I already obviously let her know about the issues with this game but she still wants to give it a try.
Well lets see, I will give her the best support I can give
Unfortunately, An unranked mode would:
A.) Split the player-base. Enjoy even longer queue times.
b.) What is to stop a sweaty Killer/Survivor going into unranked queue and destroying everyone with meta perks/slugging?
C.) This would require BHVR to acknowledge there is a problem with their game.
I want a change too, but I don't think this is it.
-
The Killer Portrait looks so bad.
Power is very basic and all perks (Including survivors) are garbage. Parental Guidance was interesting but after nerf, it's reserved to troll/niche builds.
No map either. Yawn.
-
Eight. I play one game a day now and 75% of the time, it's unpleasant.
New Killer was fun for exactly one game.
-
We are so starved for proper changes and balancing, we get excited for bug fixes.
-
"Reported for Camping"
"Reported for Tunneling"
"Reported for Sweaty"
Not surprising they need video to even begin to take action.
Not to mention there will always be 2-4 times more Survivors reports then Killer's reporting survivors.
-
(This is my opinion) It is because the top of the map can only be accessed by three stairs (four if the Killers breaks walls in the restroom). Two main stairs on opposite corners and the Library wreckage ramp.
This makes rescues on different floors, getting to generators and escaping all take much longer because you cannot just hold W like Coldwind or Auto Haven.
Generators are harder to find as well. Cannot confirm, but I think this map has the most RNG of any Gen placement on the map. There is only one gen I can recall is in the same place every game and it is the Chemistry room on the 2nd floor.
-
Once again, art, theme and music are all here. Beautiful and haunting.
Also once again, unimaginative Killer Power that doesn't stand up to more than a couple games of scrutiny.
Really wish they would try something bold and new with Killer powers, and take extra time to balance it. The Twins was a very exciting concept but was botched in execution and bugs.

doesn't need to be an event for it to happen to me lmfao
True lol

I used to think "Oh, it's just cheesy. Don't hate on the Snowmen"
Then I saw The Twins and Ghostface versus Snowmen. A little bit of an oversight.

It’s because you actually have to use your brain against her right?
Yeah she takes a lot of thought process to play against:
*Hold W Key*
-
Yes, the effects stack assuming none of them are broken after resurrecting them.

Just move away from her birds area of damage. that seems like an effective way to get rid of the issue
it doesnt work like that. She sets it up a Crow in 0.5 seconds and loses little to no speed. If you move away from loop, free hit. if you stay at loop, also a free hit.
It's no brain "skill". Glad people are enjoying a strong Killer, but she is anti-fun.

I liked facing her on PTB a lot. Anti loop killers are far more interesting to loop then basic M1 ones imo.
Yeah everyone loves anti loop Killers. Enjoy!
-
Don't bother. She is incredibly unfun to versus.
-
I just stop playing after 3 games of unfun.
No counter-play besides hoping she misses. it's impossible to miss setting up around pallets.
Like Pre nerf Slinger with full MS.
Looking forward to well deserved nerfs very soon.
-
They sure love introducing completely untested features and perks.
-
Something we can all agree on. Cheating needs to be addressed.
-
All it will do is split the playerbase and increase queue times
-
I don't know what changes they could make to Legion at this point besides a complete overhaul.
Even fixing his add ons leaves the problem of his boring base kit.
-
They aren't going to touch Twins again for a longggg time.
They struggled to get Twins to an acceptable state, let alone an enjoyable one.
My favorite Killer but I have no hopes anymore.
-
Going on a scavenger hunt as a Killer instead of...killing...is apparently fun, thematic and balanced.
Add to the fact that Survivors can attach MULTIPLE Boon perks to a single totem is equally hilarious.
-
When I read the title, I thought you meant Thin Men from XCOM...
Which would be (kinda) cool lol
-
Turn your sensitivity up as high as you can handle.
Besides that, Godbless. I used to play Killers exclusively on Controller (I'm on PC) and since I switched to Mouse/Keyboard I can never go back.
-
Basically just run around the hooked person and hope the Huntress hits them or misses.
Even with Dead Hard into Borrowed Time, the Cooldown from a hatchet will guarantee the rescuer goes down otherwise.
-
People say it's faster to get a game in the evening as Killer but for me, it doesn't matter the time of day.
I've been waiting 20+ Mins for every one of my Killer games since SBMM was enabled.
Fun.
-
They make OK changes, it's just the speed they do it at is so slow...
By the time a Killer/Perk gets improved, another chapter is out with 6 more perks and 100 more bugs.
I don't know who is responsible for their 3 month cycle, but I have a feeling it has to do with Microsoft/Sony (Xbox/PS5). I am sure contracts with them are not cheap.
-
Really don't know what there is to learn or practice.
You have to hit a moderately difficult skill shot for a small slow down. It's only practical to use at loops and there are better Killers, easier to learn who do this much better.
-
Pallet stun windows are already very generous. This change is fine.
-
Likely. The running consensus is there were legal issues with it and BHVR is not going to risk a lawsuit.
-
Why make extra content when they can pump out a new Nea or Feng skin and people will buy it for almost $12 CAD.
One skin is almost twice the price of the Pinhead "chapter". All you need to know.
-
Yes, it is a known issue that is being worked on as we speak.
-
I agree with you Hag is very strong, possibly top-tier in the right hands.
I don't believe you won every game out of 700. The odds are astronomical.
Either way, great info and thanks for sharing your findings.
-
Same problem with Lithe as Balanced Landing: Some maps have more vaults/drops than other maps making the perk inconsistent.
Shelter woods has no drop points. Likewise, maps like Midwich have few vault points (besides pallets).
-
There has been a rumor (leak, unconfirmed) that RPD is getting new versions, similar to Springwood (Freddy Map).
-
All it would do is divide the player-base and make queue times longer for both.
That's not even mentioning sweaties dunking on casuals all day.
-
I really like The Twins. They are my favorite Killer. I recently got to Rank 1 playing just Twins.
The mechanics are fine, but their add ons need another rework, particularly the Iridescent add ons. Ire add ons are supposed to change the game and Killer dramatically. Currently, the Ire add ons are one of their weakest.
My ideas for them:
-Silencing Cloth transfers your terror radius to idle Victor, and Victor's grunts to Charlotte for 25 seconds after switching to Charlotte.
-Iridescent Pendant should make Idle Victor Un-crushable, reduce his detection radius while idle and slightly reduce his maximum idle time.
-
Because Spine Chill is better than Premonition in every way.
-No Cool Down
-More Precise
-Small Repair/Heal/Open speeds
-It's a cat
-
It is too situational to be a "good" perk.
When it works, it's nice but most of the time the requirements make it a dead perk in the Trial.
-
They are too busy making the 14th Nea and 20th Feng skins.
-
An eccentric thespian survivor (male or female, doesn't matter).
With a Tragedy/Comedy mask Killer.
A theatre/opera-house map.
-
The Twins.
They have the best horror design IMO of any Killer and their power, balance aside, is the most ambitious Power design to date.

Same people that thought Mettle of Man was fine?
Eh. They admitted Mettle of Man was very overpowered. It was fixed relatively fast (by BHVR standards). You can cast your mind as far back as you want and find questionable decisions. The point is: The game is in it's most balanced state yet.
I can only go on the info provided and devs said they have already tried what is being suggested. They were clearly thinking the same thing at one time and discarded the idea for the sake of balance.
-
@kodiaky said:
Just remove the sprint burst after the contamination hit and he will be good killer
Devs have already said they tried that in the development phase and it was way too oppressive.
I agree he needs some buffs, but that is not the correct way.
