Or this. They're so unbelievably stubborn though.
The hook count placement is fantastic with this one honestly combine the two and you have a better working UI.

+1 Survivor is dead until it's fixed im Killer Only i use to play Survivor outside of recording for Youtube but im done until this is reverted.

Yeah i feel 60 seconds is somewhat reasonable but still the regression isn't that great.

More rewards are coming they talked about it slightly during the Anniversary stream unknown what rewards entails though.

I get that this is a scummy play but you really can't expect them to remove it.
What if someone DCs at the start of the match? Then 3 people have to fix 5 gens and the hatch won't even open for the last survivor.
What if a person's game legitimately crashes? Then the last survivor gets punished for something that couldn't be helped.
There are simple things they could do to stop dcing for hatch I've posted in the past about this very simple add a 6-7 second timer once someone dc's for the hatch to open simple if the killer or survivor finds it and you can't make it there in time well tough luck if the survivor stands on it and the killer downs and picks them up before it opens well tough luck that's what happens when people try to abuse mechanics.
The issue is Behavior doesn't seem to actually care enough to stop turning a blind eye to the problem it's been discussed for years and Behavior always says the most generic response which is "DC Penalties are in so we don't see an issue with it" meanwhile it's abusing a mechanic to escape and on top of that 5 minutes doesn't mean anything when Youtube exists no one actually is worried about a DC timer and it's not like they're DCing enough for it to stack so Behavior just allows it. Just comes down to them realizing by definition DCing to give hatch is technically Exploiting because it gives the last Survivor an advantage they otherwise wouldn't have and by definition it is Exploiting but the Developers don't seem to actually get that or they don't know their own rules to be fair.

Like survivors opinions matter, killers are legit being spoon fed everything they want changed but survivors can't stop being camped and tunneled? sick of it. The fact they have changed DS to how it is now promotes tunneling even more and they should let DS continue when healing as well, like wow i can go in a locker!? like i want to, not. Object of Obsession i don't care about cause i don't use it. DS tho is ######### now, the anti-tunneling perk is now just a useless perk. And ofc killer mains are gonna like the change cause it benefits them!
Didn't Behavior just nerf Undying because of Survivor's not liking it listen at the end of the day Behavior does listen to complaints we can go back and fourth all day regarding who's opinion they listen to more but ill say this have a lot of the recent patches included things to buff killer sure ill give you that. Respectfully this isn't an actual argument.
I was gathering Data to see where the Survivor communities head was at for a video to which i uploaded giving my hot take on how i really feel about the DS change and you'd actually be surprised that i don't like the new DS for a couple of big reason's i feel it needs something more to be really anti tunnel. Also 4k hour Killer main btw who dislikes the new DS concept don't put all players into a category some of us actually put our bias aside and try to look on how to make something fair for both sides i have seen plenty of other Killer mains not happy with the change some are some aren't that's kinda how it goes.
At the end of the day i'm not a fan of the change and do respectfully think there is a gray area regarding DS and if its really Anti Tunnel what stops the killer from tunneling after you've used it Nothing? and i think that area should be addressed what also stops a killer from just slug camping you after they tunnel you? Nothing these are points i made in my video you can gladly find it in Media Lounge if you really want to see my full hot take other then that yeah.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback video has been posted in the media lounge as well as a thank you to you guys for giving feedback <3

Like feedback from a survivor perspective matters regarding this perk? Give me a break.
??? Not really catching what you're throwing down this feedback is me trying to see how the community is seeing the DS and Object change also looking to see what Survivors think due to me having an idea just trying to see if that idea lines up with most survivor complaints at the moment.

@NoelleMina said:
By themselves, I personally think they’re okay. Object of Obsession isn’t “Well I can see the Killer just because” anymore. I’m hoping to see more of a variety of Killers with this change.
Decisive Strike by itself is okay. It may not be the change everyone wanted, but it’s still a nerf nonetheless. It can still be powerful if used as intended and especially useful during Endgame. It also still has some synergy with Unbreakable.
We now have to choose between walking around doing absolutely nothing (except jumping in a locker), or do something at the cost of deactivating DS.
To be honest, I am a bit iffy about that. I was hoping that it’d be “if you do this for X amount of time, then DS will be deactivated”.
But eh, what can ya do? I’m just happy that BHVR is starting to talk to us now. It shows, you know?
(Remember, this is all just my opinion.)
(Remember, this is just my opinion.)
Thank you for your feedback and completely respect your opinion feedback is feedback thank you <3

Have about 4.2k hours mainly survivor, I don't use OoO, because all I do is stare at the killer and forget that they can see me lol as for DS, don't mind it at all, I rarely use it the last couple months so I can focus on looping, however when I do use it, it was my end game perk be it death hook or EGC.
Awesome thank you for providing feedback <3

It currently doesn't address that anyway.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/224131/survivor-mains-or-anyone
I play both sides fairly evenly and I think these changes are good healthy changes for the game. While it has been clarified by McLean on twitter that being healed will not deactivate it they do need to clarify that it only does if you are the one doing the healing.
Personally DS wasn't that bad to me as a killer to begin with but now it will guarantee that if a Survivor is trying to get me to eat it they won't be doing anything else on that timer and it eliminates some of the end game DS issues that many killers complain about.
In all honesty most of the survivor DS nerf complaints I see are on par with the killer ruin complaints. The "but my crutch!" kind of complaints that have no basis in game health or balance, they just don't want to see a perk they always use be altered.
Thank you for providing feedback and i can see some of your points. <3
-
@Crowman said:
I didn't run DS as it was, because I often didn't get caught until after the timer was up. It doesn't really affect me, but it's still a good change regardless.
As far as OoO goes, the perk was stupid. It needed a change long ago, because the "risk" of seeing the killer all the time could be mitigated by looking away at the right times. Even undetectable wasn't a perfect counter to the perk, because it still gave the survivor information about where you were.
Interesting Thank you for your feedback it helps <3

I'm solo so I don't use object unless it comes up when I'm doing a random perk game. I also have no problem with ds change it's the nerf we all were asking for. Besides I only bring either that or blood pact to make sure there's an obsession anyway. So both changes are good. 😊
Okay can respect that just trying to get a feel i have an idea but want to gather feedback and see where the survivor communities general head is at before i decide if i want to go through with making the video of the idea. Thank you for providing actual feedback very needed <3

I think ds should kill the killer or at least knock him out for 1 minute. And object of obsession should blind the killer indefinitely.

Why...?
-
Oni takes a lot of skill and his skill level isn't low compared to Spirit if you want it easy cop Spirit if you want to play a challenging killer to a degree cop Oni.
Oni will be a killer that takes some time to get use to and as someone who's trying to learn him to high level play he is very hard to really grasp vs good survivors.
Spirit will be the simple killer that you equip one perk and she becomes the easiest killer in the game.

To be honest stuff like this is what makes it hard for me to defend BHVR. I know it seems so petty because it seems trivial to a lot. But to me you just load the map tile in Unreal Engine, move the Totem a couple of units or if it's in some script adjust the value, recompile the maps even if it takes a bit of time just get it done, and push the changes into the next build. What's worse is how was this not caught when it initially got changed?
Took years to change killer loadouts not being hidden from SWF post game to avoid ghosting loadouts after they said they'd change it (To give an example of them taking forever on making changes) and the colorblind thing likely only happened because a person with weight to their words called BHVR out after a statement someone made on stream + the backlash to the UI.
I am not convinced those changes were planned because they would have (SHOULD HAVE) mentioned it in the developer statements thread they usually make.
It's honestly frustrating to think about. I try to defend them but sometimes they make it difficult.
I feel you man it's like they do one thing right and then do 100 things wrong.

I guess it depends on how far into development they are a month prior to a ptb. Besides, although BHVR does listen they often don't make any changes between ptb and live servers then patch things up in hotfixes weeks after the release so personally I don't see any benefit. I think they should revert it back to one week in between with how little they accomplish in the two weeks. Then again I'm not a programmer so idk how long the stuff they do actually takes and the complexity of it.
The whole idea is the patch would be shown a month prior without the new killer/survivor of course as they like to keep that secret but the idea is for behavior to better catch things early with how it is. I could be wrong but i heard between ptb to live servers they only have 5 or so days to make changes before they have to lock in the patch which is why most things in this game release bugged to kingdom come. The idea here is to give them more then enough time prior to catch things early by opening the PTB and allowing players to play and catch things early meaning the whole hotfixing thing wouldn't need to happen as much and the community would feel their feedback is actually being used from PTB to Live. This also would be banking the patch is playable a month before release which you are correct hope someone from behavior could clarify but it's all good if they can't.
-
Okay i mean i don't see how this is the developers fault you commited to a chase with what i assume to be a full health jake instead of slugging the nea and then complain that she found hatch im failing to see what your point is they made it very clear that you can escape through hatch with an active trap on your head so what is it exactly you're trying to say?
-
No you can't i don't think i know there was an exploit but it was fixed from what i heard and rightfully so.

tbh I can't get over how BHVR will ban someone for a cosmetics bug but they allowed survivors to abuse several broken perks instead of disabling them such as when Wake Up was bugged. It was blatant when someone was abusing it and they clearly can tell if they state they'll ban Legion players who were to abuse the old mend bug that made mending last forever.
I don't disagree there's a lot of things behavior will let slide but the second it involves a cosmetics it's ban city.
-
@bm33 said:
Wait, they're banning people that use a glitch to wear a cosmetic they bought? That's a great reason to not buy linked cosmetics, risk of being banned if it glitches.
Yep good way of putting it stop buying legendary skins period.
-
@Dustin said:
Harmless bug and stupid to ban people over a cosmetics bug tbh. Just patch it and move on - If it's affecting gameplay sure but I want proof it's affecting gameplay.
Id like to see proof as well but it'll never happen they'll just ban and move on and then once it's patched they'll laugh at those they banned because that's just how it is.

They should probably make some sort of an announcement as plenty of players have already done this.
They should have but why do an announcement when you can just shadow ban and hope the community doesn't rip you a new one once people catch on to how scummy it is banning someone for them mix and matching a skin they PAID YOU FOR.
-
@Kirkylad said:
Yeah I have to admit I appreciate the devs and think they try their best most of the time but they have some shady ways when it comes to stuff like that, especially when they have created that bug in the first place.
Remember infinite mending legion when his add ons were busted and instead of removing them until they fixed them they banned people for using add ons that were in the game lol. They really need to do better when it comes to stuff like this.
Yep first step is what im doing now holding them accountable.

@EvilJoshy said:
Bugged cosmetics is money lost.
Hackers are just an upset player basis.
One issue clearly affects their $$$$$. Isn't it obvious they will prioritize that first? I agree it's bull#@$% but this is why they are doing it.
You do realize you have to buy the full legendary outfit right? in order to do it no money is lost it's just the developers not reading the room again maybe they should take the hint LEGENDARY COSMETICS ARE TRASH and this wouldn't be happening.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Why ban for this? This makes no sense. It offers no competitive gameplay advantage either, so why not let players use it for fun until it get's fixed?
Exactly makes no sense.

Wait.......you can get banned for using Nea's head cosmetic with her other cosmetics? Really?? Can't they not just patch the bug? Oh, right this is Dead by Buglight, where bugs thrive.
Yep they're gonna ban for this which makes no sense again this is why they are meme'd to oblivion they ban for cosmetics over actual hackers and toxic people just crazy man.

They can change things before they go live but they usually just choose not too because they like pushing things live but ill tell you now pushing this new UI live would be dumb it's a horrible design even them trying to justify this would be stupid it's terrible.
@Aven_Fallen said:
I doubt that there will be some statement before, I guess we will know when the Patch goes live and see the Patch Notes/Chapter Content.
Also not sure if they are even able to change much between PTB and Live Release, because if we remember, Content for The Twins also needed to be brought to the game via Hotfixes, despite being reported from the players on Day 1 of the PTB.
BUT BHVR will know that the majority of players are unhappy with the UI-Changes. The Forum, Social Media and basically every Streamer I watched did not like the changes.
IF for whatever reason the Devs want to stick with the new UI, they better write exactly WHY they wanted to change it, including what future features will be added. Because the Features added are not really needed (in my opinion, I dont need any Hook Counters or Potraits from Survivors, I also dont need to know which Button is M2 and what to do in the game) and even if they think they are needed, there was no reason to change the UI in that way just for those features.
-
The developers like to push things live regardless if people like it or not they've always been this way they learned it from Starbreeze if you know you know. Feedback is taken into account after the patch drops and it gets ripped apart for being bad.
-
Graveyard eh not to sure if i like the idea it fits the theme of it but how would you design a graveyard to work in dbd the killer would be able to see you miles away since there would be nothing but tombstones.
Amusement park I like this idea personally that's what the clowns map should have been.
Mall not a bad idea id be down to mess ######### up in a Hot topic LMFAO.
-
Realistically Nope it'll never happen would cause Lauries DLC to not be worth buying and Behavior likes money but id say a rework will happen again for the 17th time who knows maybe they'll get it right this time
-
I think it's probably at its lowest point the failure of the developers to listen to valid issues the community has over statistics which the developers have openly admitted are broad and not really always correct and don't take into account every situation possible which is why the design of statistics in DBD is flawed and shouldn't be the main choice for the developers to pursue and is only crippling the balance of the game further.
A key example is PGTW getting nerfed and us being told well it's because the killers just have to much time to use it well isn't DS basically the same problem but nope nothing done to DS because the Statistics probably told them differently realistically if the developers had a Killer main and a Survivor main who are the top 1% in the same room change would happen the amount of things that could happen with people who understand the game and don't base everything off shitistics. Don't get it twisted i love this game and have devoted almost 4000 hours to it but im gonna be blunt when it comes to the shitshow that is Dead by Daylight at the moment.
Also don't even get me started on Trapper's issues MMR being total cheeks Clowns rework being the biggest disappointment since Wraith the new Animations making survivors look like some silly crap you'd see in Scooby Doo the new HUD being totally dumb why fix something that isn't broken i mean the list just continues to go on and on.
-
@Fastball said:
NOED shouldn't be a totem and should just allow the killer to mori any downed survivor in the endgame.
Remove the 1-shot ability and speed boost, just have it do that and its perfectly balanced.
That would make the issue of camping worse my friend logically that doesn't remove killers abusing it by camping. I'm not saying it's the worst idea or anything but this isn't the problem with NOED it's the fact there's nothing objective wise that force people to leave hooks with it survivors aren't annoyed about the Insta down they're annoyed with people who abuse it knowing they'll be able to have it regardless atleast my idea shuts down camping with it you have to kick gens to gain the tokens which are limited to 4 meaning you will only have so many chances to make use of the perk making it more risky.
Also respectfully Rancor is already a thing making NOED Rancor on roids will only lead to more complaints the idea of NOED itself isn't bad it's the fact it's not rewarding objective control but instead rewords the Killer regardless if they haven't done their job as killer and that's what the most complaints are from finding a way to reward objective control is good for No One Escapes Death the problem with removing insta downs all together from it would mean Adrenaline would need to be reworked completely to account for it which i don't think needs to happen aside from the speed boost being removed like i sited in my rework for it.

They're working on Prestige Rewards as we speak it was already talked about during the anniversary stream.

@unluckycombo said:
To be fair to Behaviour, Trapper is in an absolutely desperate need of a re-work. I think other people have said it best, but his kit really is pretty much just a relic of early DBD, just like Wraith's. And the people who do make new maps aren't the same as those who work on balance. I really don't think they're intentionally shadow nerfing Trapper, but I do think that something should be done to help their mascot killer out. The RNG stuff in the next patch looks like a step in the right direction, so hopefully he gets more soon.
Buffing trapper wouldn't change anything if there's no grass around loops or plants around shack it completely cripples the point of his traps the only way to tell a good Trapper from a New one is Trap placement i take pride in my placement but when im even struggling to understand why there's barely any places to hide his traps on the new map reworks i don't what else to say.
I mean lets face it the dev's are probably use to going against low rank trappers that trap pallets and they think that's the way it goes at red ranks which it isn't a good trapper will mess you up on loops over pallets any day No direspect intended towards the dev's i get most dont have enough time to play and code the game but someones gotta step up and explain that REMOVING GRASS AND PLANTS is literally the biggest nerf to Trapper.
