Really it’s more about cutting a teams efficiency as a whole each slug is 25% of a team

You must be getting less people with iron will then because a survivor with iron will when downed doesn’t make sound

I really wish BHVR would release the usage % for items.. I was thinking about it today and it seems a common misconception among killers is that they "use" mori's because key's are OP.
But realistically speaking, the amount of killers using Mori's far outweigh the amount of keys being used in DBD. In 10 matches today, we came across 3 killers using Ebony Mori's; yet in those 10 same matches, not 1 survivor brought a key.
How can killers complain that keys are too overpowered when a Mori can end a game before it even starts? Most Mori's aren't even used to prevent survivors from using keys. And most keys even when brought, don't even get to be used.
But yet Killers are almost guaranteed to get to use theirs consistently. And they only seem to use them to"Kill the streamer", "Kill the click click'er" and to just be outright toxic at times.
I'm not the only one that agrees, but Mori's (More specifically Ebony's) should be the next thing to be nerfed.
Wish I had your survivors I got 5 keys in a row today tho also you can’t find a Mori mid match and unlike keys there is only 1 variant that gets you all 4 survivors theoretically. Also iridescent hatchets are in much more need of a rework then mories

NA Region. I have NEVER gotten chill people at that hour, not even once. Every game has people with thousands of hours.
I did have one game where a mod was playing and they had like 6000+ hours but they were all running a for the people meme build and it was gonna be a fun game- but I got "rank update error" kicked from the game and a 5 minute leaver penalty for it lol.
How ironic

So one possible answer is their personal perks, David has DH so a lot of players see streamers using it and they MAY be toxic so they copy that
Could be but honestly I’d think Lauries would be worse then

The most toxic survivors are the ones on after like 2 am usually.
They are usually the most toxic, treat killers like crap in post game chat, like the groups around that time are only playing to try and make killers disconnect rather than even playing the game really.
It's so bad that I have a rule, that late at night I only run ebony mori's if I am online at all. All survivors around that time are like 5000+ hours and most of them are toxic bullies so it's 100% the best way to play at that point.
It might honestly be your region because I usually have chill people after 12

I would argue that for the people if not being run by an idiot is god like especially because it bypasses slowdown like sloppy thanata dyinglight and other healing requirements is also say surge while kinda annoying for how many conditions it has is good on killers like legion and plague because people don’t heal and then you either won’t have to waste pop or can bait a survivor to tap the gen and your pop becomes -33% instead otherwise I’d agree
-

I don't understand why behavior isn't experimenting with changes to The Clown.
He looks like a bad joke when placed against someone like Freddy, who has a better version of his power to slow down survivors at loops, without the need to reload, that can also sometimes help you locate survivors, on top of his ability to throw you off as he approaches when you aren't asleep, teleport between generators, and have a built in slowdown mechanic while being able to negate perks like borrowed time by keeping you oblivious.
I would understand if his kit was particularly fun to play, and had appeal that way, but it is incredibly one dimensional. If he were removed from the game, and his teachable perks made baseline, I feel like nobody would notice. It just leaves such a bad taste in the mouth.
Basically, he's a ######### Clown...
Well apparently doctor needed a second buff so clown will have to get in line

So you're saying when I hit someone twice, near a gen, that gen gets a whole 6 seconds of progress regressed and I get to hear a gen explode but ultimately not be able to do anything about it? AND I get to wait for a 40 second long cooldown too before I can use it again? That's insane! The value on this perk!
The 40 seconds is unnoticeable at most times and actually can come in clutch because sometimes I’ll down someone while it’s on cool down but then I’ll get to use my pop instead
-
Just bring a medkit if you want to self heal

Doctor's: "Scrapped Tape"
My dear sweet Jesus dying on the cross, why is this virtual trash bin leakage even a conceivable option for Doc?
For those who don't know, it changes the shape of Doctor's shock therapy into in a hollow ring.
And it is awful.
Completely and utterly awful.
Imagine, if you will, if there was an add-on that made Huntress's hatchets curve 90% degrees once you threw them, and that's it.
Imagine how it would make her power unnecessarily hard to use with absolutely no counter-benefits to balance out how it handy-caps you.
This is is only half of the damage that Scrapped Tape does to the Doctor.
Because at least Huntress can still injure survivors with her power.
I am convinced that this an overlooked experiment made by a programmer that no one bothered to test once Doctor was ready to ship. Haphazardly stapled onto his add-ons completely unnoticed.
I mean, it was temporarily removed with the Doctor buff but then added back in without any changes. As if the devs took it out and quickly realised that they had no idea what to do with this abortion of an add-on, and just decided "who cares anyway?" and just added it back in.
So, here is a few of the many suggestions that could be made to make it not atrocious.
- Have the shock zone linger for a few extra seconds after zapping
- Increasing the duration that survivors are shocked after getting hit (so miraculously hitting a survivor is actually rewarded for the effort)
- Or just change the shape to something that you can feasibly shock survivors with
Thanks for reading through this completely unnecessary rant. It was the product of when a friend of mine forced me to use the tape for a meme build. I'll admit that loads of other add-ons, and killers for that matter, could probably use more attention, but this one is the main target of my ire for the misery it has caused me.
It’s not the worst because it actually does it’s purpose drivers license on Ghostface doesn’t even work

Chess is also asymmetrical in a way. One side is typically the attacker, and the other the defender (white vs black) if black plays well and equalizes, then the tables turn yes, but it definitely starts out asymmetrical. I'm also comparing it to chess to look at the best of the best players. In the chess world, at the highest levels of play (or even in games where using a chess engine is allowed) the draw rate is nearly 90%, which indicates that it is a balanced game (even with the 1st move advantage)
But in chess ultimately the goal is the same for both sides and both sides have the exact same power and rule set
-
Comparing this game to chess is a little wrong because unlike chess this is asymmetrical so its a million times harder to balance that being said a lot of times their balance really only comes in applying or ripping off band-aids like why nerf ruin after training survivors for 2 years to hit great skill checks if they aren't going to add a way to remove these skill checks you can easily take a gen that is 80 sec base solo and with skill checks make it 65 seconds

Mashing a button just for the sake of doing something isn't gameplay. It's nothing skillfull, no big game choices involved, you are just forced to do it for not good reason.
by that logic outside of looping the killer is the only part of the game that is actual gameplay

What gameplay or skill is this exactly? It’s pressing a button somewhat quickly, that’s all. Most of us have had at least one occurrence of lag making us “give up,” which stinks for us and the team.
To the people arguing against this I say what is the value of keeping it? So you can quit when he game starts poorly for you
so that if a survivor isn't paying attention a killer can actually hook the person where they want

I don't get this mentality. I wouldn't even say I hate Freddy. I'd rather play against him than Nurse in most cases, or even Spirit, even though I'm not a Spirit hater either.
I just wanted to say it's not easy to stay awake. Not only can you only be awake for a minute at the very maximum because of the timer you're put on, but alarm clocks are specifically designed to spawn at the furthest location from you possible. If you are in one corner of the map, the clock will always be in the furthest corner from where you are. So it's not always reasonable to do that, especially because being too slow wastes too much time, but sprinting through the middle of the map could easily get you seen by Freddy anyway and get you attacked. On top of all that, if you weren't asleep often enough, Freddy instantly puts you to sleep if he hits you. Not to mention I'm pretty sure you can only get woken up otherwise by failed skillchecks (if he allows it by not bringing his add on that cancels that) or by having an *already awake* person wake you up, which takes longer and longer if you do it many times.
In other words, it's not as easy to counter as "just wake up."
If you take the time to use the clock though it pauses your timer so the longest you can be awake is a minute btw

Lemmie just wake up mid chase, I'm sure Freddie will stop and wait for me.
I despise playing Freddies, for precisely the reason everyone's said: He's a braindead, boring killer with 0 counterplay when you're asleep. Stack slowdown perks and addons, and you get a game that lasts 8 years, against a killer that wins every chase in 45 seconds because all he has to do is spam traps around a loop to get an easy hit. Can't even gen rush him because every Freddie above rank 4 runs thano, pop and a slowdown addon, so a single gen takes 2 minutes to finish, if you're not interuppted. So you have a killer that can win a chase extremely easily because he can force slowdown at every loop with 0 cooldown, can run perks and addons that mean it's nearly impossible to finish a gen in the time it takes him to win a chase, and has a map-wide gen teleport so that he can instantly PGTW regress any gens that have progress on them after he's gotten a down. I'll kill myself on hook every time, honestly.
yeah he’s a strong killer it’s pretty unsportsmanlike to ######### on hook tho And there are 3 ways to wake yourself up 1 of which technically in chase if you use spine chill and a medkit there’s a chance to wake yourself up
-

Bc he has everything and no weaknesses. Spams traps or spams fake pallets that you cant possibly keep track of. Can 3 gen every game bc of his teleportation. Especially gross when fighting against Pop. Nobody I know cares to play against him.

M1 killers are in a bad shape now and they will be in the same bad shape even with ttcm
what M1 killers need is a game mechanic/some good perks that slow down the game, not nerf any potentialy/survivors perks(maybe some nerf but is not the point ) ...close off topic
anyway
ttcm is probably a good perk but always think : is really OP? this can be better of the meta(DS/DH/Unb/Adre)? I don't think so, if i run ttcm i remove one of the meta perk...
Well it has the power to take you away from a dead zone so even if you go somewhere without a pallet you can still get to a very safe pallet after being hit

Probably too many effect i would remove this part "If this hex totem is cleansed by an Healthy survivor that survivor becomes injuried."
this perk can be useful in many situation, :
- a generator completed in front of you, now you can down with one hit instead of start a chase
- survivors who complete a generator now have to mend and lose time , ok they can play with resiliance(not a common/meta perk anyway), or risk to be downed in one hit.
- you see aura of survivors after healing ( you can also combo SoF with Nurse Calling )
- is an oppresing Hex perk that force survivor to search for it (like old ruin),lose time and not genrush
- SoF punishes what the survivors know best...the genrush
- SoF afflict each survivor on a gen so you with only one gen done you injuried more survivor
And many other situation that don't come in mind
resi is already becoming pretty meta honestly I see it more and more and while I agree that it will waste survivors time searching they will not be healing anymore which is kinda the problem legion and plague face with gens

You right but Ttcm can't be considered an exhaustion perk, every exhaustion perk gives at least 3 seconds boost, ttcm last just 1.5, if i would add exhaustion status i will change the boost to 3 seconds
Yeah but you’re proposing a perk that will butcher m1 killers who already need all the help they can get
-
I feel like this is too many effects cut it down to either the gen which honestly seems pointless because people would just start using resilience and the other one you might as well just use nurses

I haven't checked Bugs yet. But is anyone else experiencing issues with grabs?
It's happened on Nurse, Freddy, and Hah for me (biased since those are the only killers I've played in a while).
But I will get an interrupt grab, it begins the animation of the grab, then stops the animation and all of the sudden the survivor is running.
This is not an issue for taking someone out of lockers. Only interruptions. I have had the issue with someone jumping OUT of a locker and catching them, gen grabs, exit gate grab, and while they are using the "wake up" clocks.
Every time the animation occurs briefly, stops, and the survivor walks unscathed. I'd almost rather them just take the hit! I guess we can lunge to avoid this but... Just seeing if anyone else has this issue.
It unfortunately is not a bug but a failure of dedicated servers due to latency I can’t count how many times I’ve been robbed of grabs by this and it’s becoming more and more of a problem

You guys say once you “learn” killers. Okay I have learned that a perk does indeed counter. But it’s not like I get to see what killer I’m going up against to put that perk on before the match starts. AND it’s not like I can adjust my playstyle accordingly once the match has started if the counter is a specific perk. Like all killers one knows to keep your distance. That’s not really learning anything new. Killers are all super fast regardless of who it is. They all have some ability or speed that make them equally as frustrating as the other to go on chases with. Trapper is REALLY fast lmao I can’t believe you made him sound like he has standRd speed. NO HES REALLY FAST actually. It’s almost not even fun. I’m sorry but these killers got a big helping hand the last patch and survivors need their buff in terms of chase survivability. Because I don’t have fun going on chases with these same few killers over and over because people know their good. Killer mains complain over and over and it’s sickening. 4/5 people you play against as killer are REAL people too that are also customers. It’s not about YOU getting your 4K every game. Several hooks and a kill or two sounds about right . That’s ideal. But how short I see people go on runs with killers nahhhh I’d rather quit too.
Wdym trapper has the same speed as everyone. outside of nurse everyone either moves at 110% or 115% depending on terror radius killers have to be faster than survivors otherwise every loop would be infinite

I swear to god, if this game starts adding stupid meme, or twitch streamer emote bullshit, i'm gonna have problems.
This game is supposed to have a horror/slasher theme. If they are going to ruin it with ######### pepe frog tokens just to cater to 12 year old twitch kids, i'll be uninstalling asap.

So as far as I know, once NOED is active (invisible to survivors at first), if a killer uses a special attack (e.g. chainsaw), even though the NOED doesn't affect the special attack, the survivors will still be notified that NOED is active.
Apparently not so with Demogorgon? Just played a game where last gen was completed and Demo shredded three or four hits, then did a basic attack and NOED was revealed on after that. Is this normal?
I know I've played against Pig and who had NOED and ambush attacked me, which revealed NOED was on but I only got injured...
Please enlighten me if anyone knows. Is it some killers and not others?

And no, iam not low elo. I play killer and suvivor both on rank 1. And even as killer i know that this BBQ effect is a problem, because i will just take the last survivor and hang them 1 or 2 hooks farther away to trigger BBQ on the downed survivor, although i hate it. Its a stupid abuse that cant be countered by the survivor on the floor, taking away a chance to escape the killer (what the crawling is intended to).
There are counters even on the floor just crawl one way while it’s active then crawl the other way after also I don’t appreciate you editing your posts to add on an extra two paragraphs

But with a little bit more gametime and practice you will probably make it someday too whithout slugging and crying about game speed.
And your comment that sounds bug 50% of time... well how about trying to force a bugfix instead of giving a specific perk the ability to overgo this?
its been a bug since july theres no fixing it and to insinuate that I slug is insulting I literally play pig who is incapable of slugging like I said based on your amount of posts im going to assume youre just new and have an inflated sense of ego because you play at low ranks which is why you have such easy killer matches

Sometimes it makes Survivors play worse when they know a hidden offering is present, so that also helps with the idea of being a bigger threat, which makes more mistakes happen as a result.
But yeah, Cypresses are easily forgotten when you know it only works on the last remaining Survivor.

first off the sounds are basically removed 50% of the time on downed survivors due to "bugs" and honestly based on your number of posts im going to assume youre still new to the game but at this point mid-late game slugging is one of the only ways to reliably control game speed as a killer

Hello, I'm Desh.
Some of you must have forgotten who created this game. You know, the Devs. The Devs that worked hard at creating what is relatively a great and unique product that you can enjoy with your friends or by yourself. The poor Devs that I constantly see being belittled and harassed in the forums because of something that an individual doesn't like. Not every aspect of the game is going to be perfect, nor will it be tailored to your specific needs. Being absolutely rude to the people who created this content for you to enjoy isn't going to solve anything either.
It takes a lot to build a game, and a lot more to maintain an online game at that. As long as new content comes into the game (content to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for you by the way), there will always be new bugs that will mess with the game. Report the bugs so that the Devs can do their jobs and move on. It needs to be annotated, but adding hate-filled content into the mix isn't aiding anything. If you don't like how something is run (i.e camping, a perk, a killer, etc.), then discuss it in the forums without calling out Devs for being one sided or useless.
It takes time to patch the bugs because you have to find the root of the problem, it takes time to cater to the requests of individuals if it's a good idea because now they have to design what you envisioned and make it fit into the game and keeping it as balanced as possible. If you don't like something, be an adult and state it with facts and reasoning on why you think it is a bad idea.
Just be mature and appreciate the Devs hard work. They don't have to give you new content.
also the level of organization seems unprofessional at times things should not just "slip through the cracks" like they said about the plague change for the patch notes yesterday
