Damn that really makes game even more harder. I know for sound bug that you can't hear gens in buildings or rooms, but even this now make loops even more harder.
Hearing downed survivors can be impossible now too also doesn’t seem like a bug any more because this is a game breaking issue that’s been in the game since July

DCs are a part of any online game . we havent had them since 2016 we dont need them now. its just silly. if you want to DC you paid for the game do what you like. if you want out of that match and want to go to a new one that is your right. you should not be penalized.
Every game punishes people who dc

Remember, they changed it so that you only rank back to the top of the previous color. So, if you were red rank, today was supposed to set you back to rank 5.
Oh honestly didn’t even know why would they do that you could easily hit red in a day again

There are several games that run and look absolutely fantastic on the Switch.
The game just isn't optimized properly. It used to basically be this bad on PS4 and Xbox and it took them quite a while to get the game to run as good as it does now.
Give it time. Hopefully they'll focus more on console optimization soon.
Why it’s like 10% of the community they stand little to gain from dedicating much time to consoles

Survivors we have been threatened by other players of Dead by Daylight, telling us that they want our precious keys to be nerfed. Removed even. How dare they try to take away our beautiful Green Keys from us. We must band together and use them! To show that they can't take away our keys that were earned through blood, tears, sweat and salt. The people against our cause are threatened by the powers of the Green Key. Scared of how useful it is and disgusted by how 'Broken' it is. Green Key Users! Band together and Unite!!!

I would never blame a rank 16 killer for facecamping a rank 2 SWF. That killer is trying to secure a single kill and that match can only be fun if the survivor stop doing gens to bully the ######### out of the killer. It’s really a balance issue.
Dude what all you talking about the only point I was making to the Op was that all they need to do is play at higher ranks I don’t know why you’re talking about blaming killers

The killer is the player that camps not the red rank survivors and match’s frequently match rank 16 killers with red rank survivors. You know because game health isn’t the best. Or good. Or acceptable.

Thats clearly not true, high ranking survivors get matched with Rank 16 killers all the time.
It’s literally not a problem at red ranks

I’ve only been playing the game for almost a year now and I’ve enjoyed my moments being a killer, only for a while, and a survivor. And I get when you have serious players that are trying to focus on the game and there are people that are just goofing off or helping the killer and that causes people to rage quit. Or when a player just gets mad at the get go because he either hates the type of killer it is, the survivor is a troller or it’s someone very toxic causes someone to leave as well(I don’t think giving a penalty for faulty internet service or a power outage should a thing but that’s a topic for another moment). But I think it should be more balanced for certain things that people do in the game as well, i.e. camping. Killers doing this doesn’t give a chance for some players to enjoy the game to their fullest because of small annoyances. Sure enough the killer won’t get a lot of BP for camping but I don’t think it’s gonna make them stop. Where’s the “sportsmanship” in this? The challenge? The fun? If there’s not gonna be a “Report” option at the end of a game for a camper why not just penalize the killer other than just and exclusion of some points that they will recover later on?
Just play till you’re a higher rank almost all high rank survivors agree camping is not a thing

Are you complaining about the actual hair style or the way it bounces also it’s kinda clear that they are probably trying to make people forget that technically this character is like 18 because I doubt they want to be known as the game where you kill kids

It’d be nice to be able to grab. Or not somehow teleport through floors

Honestly you’re just pointing out design flaws in all killers though for some reason bvhr saw fit to give survivors way too much information it’s the same way that for some reason pig makes an unsheathing noise so getting grabs are out of the question
-
if you have the portals near but hidden also an easy way to get a little closer is monitor I think if you try replacing sloppy or save the best with discordance itll help with the information game because you have corrupt it should give you time to start placing portals and it’ll push survivors together which should activate discordance

I just had to play on blood lodge with demogorgon and it was just ridiculous people could see me from 1000 miles away and just would run before I even got 30 meters close to them so I can't catch them without throwing the whole game to get 1 down nor I could stop them from doing gens or sneak close enough to get a hit.
Ended up with 1 kill eventually and a super boring game with almost 0 chases.
So do devs acknowledge this issue ? I am curious. Also if someone has an idea to win a game as killer when you have to chase someone across the map just to get a hit because they start running before they even hear my big terror radius as demorgorgon, yeah it could help me. Please no assumptions and theories only people who actually play killer against these kind of survivors and win.
needs more details what perks did you have also what’s your experience on demo

You balance exclusively around the absolute highest potential, then that's all you have and your game dies.
I have multiple friends that refuse to play this game anymore because of all the cheap tactics available to killers. Instadowns, moris, camping, tunneling, etc.
They never even got the chance to put in the time to 'git gud' because they were so frustrated so many days in a row that they stopped playing. No DLC money, no cosmetics, no revenue, no game.
This game cannot be exclusively balanced around the cream of the crop. Note: exclusively. Toolboxes need to not affect gen times. Prove thyself could stand a complete rework. You can tweak the outlying problems without ruining the games for the average player.
But those changes can't be made in a vacuum. You have to remove some of the broken behaviors and items that make the game unbearable or you won't have a game.
Ruin was extremely obnoxious at worst, a mild annoyance at best. The game is healthier without it. Now we need to tweak NOED, camping, tunneling, oneshot add-ons, moris, etc. Or this game will never retain anyone.
Why do you act like there aren’t survivor things that are annoying the reason there’s a killer shortage at higher ranks is because killers get just as fed up.( most of the things you mentioned have a counter btw. If you’re getting tunneled bring dis camped borrowed time, getting moried bring a key it lets you literally skip 40% of the objective) and what rank are you’re friends playing low ranks have naturally more obnoxious killers because objectively that’s the best way to play the game as a killer plays and grows most will learn that for everyone to have fun and more importantly to win these tactics don’t work

Sure Adrenaline is bad gameplay.
Adrenaline is a reward for survivors that have lived long enough into the game. Before the last gen pops, they're only gonna be using 3 perks and they might not get adrenaline anyway.
Maybe play survivor 😂
adrenaline is worth a little more than you think. It really shines on the last 1 or 2 gens just because of the confidence boost. As a killer on the last few gens you want survivors to waste as much time doing other actions than gens but if a survivor knows that the last gen is close they’ll have the confidence to not heal and they will stay at the gen for longer when the killer is coming. Plus getting adrenaline can ensure an escape for not only you but a person you body block. That being said it’s really a fair perk and I don’t see a point in complaining when it can be overshadowed by other more broken perks

The narrative that killers are useless and have no valid tools at their disposal to even remotely help them is tired and outdated.
If Discordance, Pop Goes The Weasel, Hex: Ruin and Whispers don't do "anything" and "all" killer perks are "really bad" then I think this is a problem of killer skill and not perk choices.
Yes, there are 4 survivors in each lobby, and they all have the potential to run 4 perks (meaning 16 perks in total), it's important to remember that killer perks and survivor perks aren't comparable. For example, some killer perks affect ALL of the survivors whereas a lot of survivor perks only provide a benefit to the user. Taking this into consideration, some killer perks are equivalent in utility to 4 survivor perks.
It’s not that they don’t do anything it’s that some don’t do enough

I've listed perks which provide large benefits to killers without them having to go out of their way to receive the benefits.
I could make the same point you have here about the survivor perks listed by the OP.
A second-chance perk, to me, is any perk which provides you with a benefit that doesn't really require much effort.
3 of the perks you listed require a hook there is nothing requires more effort
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:

Yes they do. They can drastically reduce the generator progress. What if the final generator is at 99% when it gets broken with Pop Goes The Weasel. It's then regressed massively and the killer then has a huge opportunity to win the match still. It's most certainly a second-chance perk.
There's more too:
- Hex: No One Escapes Death
- Bitter Murmur
- Barbecue and Chilli
- Blood Warden
- Corrupt Intervention
- Discordance
- Enduring + Spirit Fury
- Franklin's Demise
- Hex: Ruin
- Rancor
- Surveillance
- Whispers
- Hawkin's Underground Complex, Gideon Meat Plant and Lery's Memorial Institute are all statistically more killer-sided.
- Add-ons like Iridescent Head massively increase the strength and utility of the killer's power.
- etc.
I'm not saying I'm against any of these perks, maps or add-ons. I'm just pointing out that saying that the game only has survivor-sided things isn't necessarily a true statement.
The only second chance perks you listed were rancor blood warden and bitter the rest of those perks don’t require you to make any mistakes which is what a second chance perk is you just listed perks that make the game go longer
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Killers have second chance perks and crutches too. Killers have maps which are drastically in their favor too. Killers definitely need addressing and adjusting to make them more fun to play but they certainly aren't this disadvantaged.
What second chance perks are you referring to because perks like pop definitely do not count as second chance

So you mean just let the other 3 escape whilst you do that?
Once they get the gate open or almost open after the first hit the sprint burst will carry you the rest of the way provided you know where it is.
If a player is so eager to get a kill that they're willing to do that, they may as well take rancor, it'd be better in every way.
The way this proposed perk works you could do this at the start of the game and I know gens go fast but not that fast

They need to lower her terror radius so monitor isn’t a requirement also would be nice if they found a way to compensate her for the loss of the end gate kill lost with the endgame update. Maybe a kind of special pallet or window trap that requires survivors to hit a skill check the first time vault otherwise they become injured maybe some kind of gen trap
-
I’ve been forced to just 3 gen on legion

So, my mind was drifting and thinking about killer and perk concepts, and I thought up of this status effect idea.
I call it "Distracted". Whenever you are affected by the Distracted status effect, you cannot see your HUD and other on screen info. This includes your perks, power/item, addons, gen count, survivor health states, progress bars, and action prompts (such as disarm traps, drop pallets, etc). This would be very effective in many situations. For example, imagine a survivor is running Spine Chill and Quick and Quiet. They are working on a generator, and a perk or something hits them with Distracted. Then they hear the terror radius. They cannot see Spine Chill to know if the killer is after them, so they rush into a locker. What they also didn't know is that Quick and Quiet was still on cooldown, so the killer was alerted of this and pulled the survivor out of the locker. Another example: a Myers is in tier II. He is stalking a survivor when he is hit with Distracted. Now, he cannot see his stalk meter. Now he has to make a decision: does he continue stalking and risk popping tier III too early, or does he stop stalking and begin a chase? I feel like this status effect could add alot more to DBD and would be a great addition overall. What are you're thoughts?
Sounds like a good idea though I think it should apply to certain interactions as well like searching pigs boxes or using Freddie’s clocks
-
If you’re on the map some teams call you a camper
-
It seems to have a high possibility considering the survey questions

Not to imply that I'm keen on the idea, but a perk which requires you to hit the same survivor twice, and requires that survivor to be healthy before you hit them is very far from a tunnel perk.
what do you mean pick pig or ghost face and put on nurses and just sit undetectable until they heal
-
Can you explain how the action order is registered because as killer it feels like grabs take last and survivors escape mid animation all the time.
-
@Starr43 said:
- NOED was no longer applied to a totem
- Exposed status was no longer applied
- Two consecutive hits grants you the ability to kill that survivor by your hands
- Hitting another survivor cancels what was gained from the previous hit on the original survivor
- The ability to kill with your hands cannot be applied if the survivor was still injured once the last generator has been completed unless they are fully healed
- The ability may be used on more than one survivor as long as they were hit two times consecutively
Too much of a tunnel perk. The noed change needs to be fun for both sides personally I think it should be a hex perk that starts at the beginning of the game it increases your movement speed by 3/4/5% this allows for something to make up for the early game pressure lost when ruin was changed and gives survivors a reason to actually spend time cleansing totems
-
Even as a legion player you have to agree that you shouldn't be able to hit a survivor multiple times with feral frenzy though he needs an even bigger speed boost its very annoying to hit someone run to the other side of the map then lose the power because the survivor has a sprint boost
-
Some of the killer challenges seem much harder too with server states getting grabs is next to impossible
-

I would argue Survivors are given way more leeway against a Killer than vice versa. Killers only really have to make a few mistakes to concede a ton of progress while Survivors collectively have to play pretty badly overall to fall behind just as hard. That to me would explain games where Killers lose a ton of progress in mere minutes at the start, only for Survivors to stall out completely and lose in the end.
The issue is that when a killer messes up and give a gen they lose about 20% but if a survivor messes up and gets hooked the survivor only gives up like 12% the only reliable way currently to close this gap as killer is to start slugging which grants a 25% loss.
-
Maybe unpopular opinion but I think designating a 5th perk slot solely for hex items might be a good idea. This would help with the perk disparity(the killers 4 to the survivors 16) and makes it less of a cost if you wanna bring a second totem protection perk or even multiple mains so it is not as much of a cost to lose 1 totem.

Survivors have more fun when the killer isn’t tunneling or camping. If you are slowing down “genrush”, what are we doing about all those killers who would continue to play that way? You can’t base it off an honor system, where “if killers had more time, they wouldn’t do that”. Wrong, they would. Longer games requires addressing both sides, not just survivor.
The issue is when killers don't tunnel or camp starting at purple rank the only guarantee to win is to start slugging after the first few chases but no matter how you play you get #########. Even if you lose a save with friends will talk #########.
