Imma be honest, this seems like a nerf to me (outside of the number changes lol).

They did say that we are able to prestige over level 3 now, but my only concern is... what will be the benefit in doing so? All of my survivors are maxed out already so what will I get in return by spending more BP on them?
I hope they make the new prestige mechanic meaningful.
To show you're dedicated to a character ig. Or just to use your bloodpoints.

I don't even know what you're talking about, if that helps
If you prestiged before they made prestiging easier in like... 2016? You would get a piece for every prestige you got.
This.

Imma be honest, I have no clue which jungle gym you mean. None that I remember remind me of a square.

I heard they might change it so that you won't lose everything when you Prestige... not sure if it's true though.
That's true.

Pfft.. that was only added so they can make and keep overpowered boons and just point at that perk when people complain.
And yet, they haven't made a single overpowered boon since CoH. Even before Shattered Hope existed.
-
I agree and will even go further beyond this. You should have a choice with EVERY interaction that's currently available.
-
Seriously, the crowns aren't worth it to be angry over. You would forget they exist after a week. No one uses them, I don't use them often because it uses basic hair.
-
It would be nice if we got 2 versions tbh.

They tried, with Hex: Undying, which gave killers a random chance to keep some of their otherwise easily-destroyed perks around for a few minutes, which forced survivors to seek out hex totems (or have one of them bring a totem-finding build). Survivors either didn't go totem hunting or complained endlessly about totem hunting, so they completely overhauled the perk to make it way, way less of a secondary survivor goal
They tried, with the Cenobite's Lament Configuration. An objective one survivor has to do every 2 minutes, clearly marked from across the map in a random spot that the killer cannot see, with full survivor control over when the killer gets any chance to follow up. So many survivors just didn't do it, they had to nerf all of Pinhead's good addons, (and give him a terrible on-use power), and people STILL don't get the box.
The vocal majority either does not want or cannot handle anything more complicated. Everyone who can handle it and wants it has already quit.
That...'s not the reason Undying was changed.
It was changed because a hex, aka ruin, could live all cleansing done on it if you were lucky. It was just annoying, when ruin would just not die even if trying (kind of like how boons now work, amazing ain't it?). Same with Pinhead.
-
So if my math is correct, 750k diffrent people would need to contribute to this challenge. Which just sounds impossible to be honest.

EDIT: Also

Imma be honest, just throw for it. Just stand near a window with the killer sees you and medium vault. Should take you max 2 games.

You can do the normal later. This special is here for only two weeks.
Rift fragments disagree.

People are doing personal challenges first.
Aaaaaand because I haven't done fully my normal tome yet I don't plan on selecting it except for maybe one game.

It is still stupid pal. Because you can get 32k bp more right and you can open more bloodwebs. But yeah, you can be selfish tho, i am not. I used flains on every game but now i still have 60-70 flains on Haddie and Dredge. And plus 700k bp
Unfortunately, events bring out sweatiest players 25% of the time. So, again, saving them is not that stupid to use at a later date.

This is kinda stupid tho. If you use offerings, you will get more Bp. With more bp, you will get more cakes. It is win/win tho. And i had great games today and every game i had at least 3 flans or more.
Tbh, even if you personally don't use said flan, atleast one other random person most likely will. So saving them is not that stupid.
-
Were they supposed to?
I thought they were only reskins for normal presents.
-
You... You don't have to escape?
Atleast my friend didn't have to lol.
-
It is here. Maybe you just got unlucky?
-
The earring is also a diffrent color. Not saying it makes this situation better, but it's still atleast somewhat of an improvement over the release of these heads.
-
Oh I thought you would mean, that both Residual Manifest and Pharmacy should come with a chance to give your items add-ons. Which would make sense with the comparison.
-
Detective's Hunch is so good after it's buffs especially for this reason... yet we're completely throwing it out of the window!

Survivors have builds that require certain maps. Personally I think map offerings should be removed from both sides.
... They do? Like, I get Balanced Landing (however there should be like 2 spots for every map anyways) but outside of that I cannot think of any other builds lol.
-
@Regulus47 said:
Nope. That would be broken on victor. Just release him next to a dropped pallet, herd the survivor into it, get free down. And that's just the first thing I can think of.
This perk is fine. It's practically a free down when it activates so I think it's fair that survivors get warned it's in play. It's like boil over
It's a free down in very specific scenarios lol.
It's really not that game-changing. Heck, you could even not show it and it still wouldn't be that amazing.

it's based off you're terror radius which is actually pretty dumb if you think about it, because the killer the perk came with gets undetectable.I really wished the perks that come out for a character would better synergize with one each other. And, in this situation, with the killer themselfes.

I don't agree with the Pharmacy change because rummaging takes a lot of time. Pharmacy is good because it's faster than self care. I'm pretty sure residual manifest, you need to rummage because they didn't want the two perks to conflict.
How does Appraisal work with Residual Manifest actually?

@YOURFRIEND said:
Yes. Boil over. It'd feel pretty unfair to lose a hook to that without any indication. Just like how it'd feel unfair to get one shot downed or have a pallet yoinked out from you without any prior warning.
Moreover, the sides are not equivalent. Game's asymmetrical. Just because one has something doesn't mean the other side gets it
To be fair, Power Struggle doesn't give you any warning, even tho it could lose you a hook.
Starstruck should still reveal itself, but Dissolution should be hidden until activated atleast once.
-
Right now it just feels like there's no point in reaching that goal, other than bragging rights or getting the 1m drop-in-the-bucket bp reward. You just said that it's useless and then mentioned you get something out of it, which is bloodpoints... the thing you want increased.
But you're right, imo there should be a bloodhunt around every month's 13th. Alternatively, first/last week of the month would also work.

I have no idea what you are trying to say. Where did you get 4 seconds from? What do you mean "showcase with Empathetic Connection"?
---
Empathetic Connection's 1.6 seconds less on a heal is worthless, so lets just ignore that part.
You are basically using the perk so that other injured players can see your aura. However, since Empathetic connection does not exist in a void but exists with perks like Empathy and Bond, those perks make Empathetic Connection worthless. In fact a Key, as worthless as they are, are actually better than Empathetic Connection.
But, if you don't believe me, then maybe you will believe the other six thousand or so games where survivors don't use the perk. It's literally used less than Solidarity and just slight above Self-Preservation (A perk another user in this thread said was worthless).
It's worthless. If survivors aren't coming to you when you equip it, it's worthless. Also, consider that it only saves you 1.6 seconds of healing speed. If the person that is hurt takes more than 1.6 secs to get to you, then it's actually worse than him just waiting until he meets someone at a generator.I'm just throwing the arguement you made back at you, just with Botany+Empathy as the perk. If Botany saves about 4 seconds of healing then, with your facts and logic, if you don't get to a survivor faster than 4 sec it's worse than just waiting at a generator. Which Empathic Connection can help you with.

You're giving vision to your teammates, not gaining it. And as a bonus you get 10% healing speed for that.

Well.... Maybe just use something like Windows of Opportunity instead of all the 2nd chance stuff? Or maybe look at your surroundings and memorize them? Remember when people complained that they needed to remember where Freddy put his fake pallets? It's the same. Just don't be brain afk when vsing the Dredge.
I am using WoO. The problems I have are:
- Can't sometimes see the Dredge itself.
- Running into walls.
- The goddamn dark edges
Looping him with his teleport mindgames is fun. When Nightfall kicks in I legit am guessing half the time.

I mean its dumb and absolutely nonsensical Auras stay up on nightfall. Its supposed to be a timed blindness event effect for Survs yet auras still up and can make a huge difference, extreme case scenario Window of opportunity completely negates the intended purpose of it.
Sure, decrease the effect of darkness on the screens edges tho in compensation.

The healing perk is horrible. I've tried running it and realized that 10% does not work for yourself, it only works for healing others.
On top of the fact that no one ever comes to you for healing when you run it. I've watched as people run around hurt all game, even though I'm running Empathetic Connection.
It sounded good to me, but in use, it's worthless. Run Botany Knowledge instead and get 30% healing on yourself and others.
---
You can't assume these perks in a vacuum. When you have something like Empathetic Connection which heals others at 10% and then you have Botany Knowledge that heals yourself and others at 30%, there's no reason to run Empathetic Connection.
Empathy and Botany Knowledge are a much better choice because you can actively find hurt people and heal them.
If no one comes to you when you are running Empathetic Connection, what's the point of the perk.
You're trading 23% healing speed for one less perk slot "technically".
When you have something like Empathetic Connection which heals others at 10% and then you have Botany Knowledge that heals yourself and others at 30%, there's no reason to run Empathetic Connection. The perks have one thing in common - Healing speed on other survivors. Ignoring the other aspect of Empathetic Connection is ignorant, which is the aura reading.
Empathy and Botany Knowledge are a much better choice because you can actively find hurt people and heal them.If no one comes to you when you are running Empathetic Connection, what's the point of the perk.Feeling sad that you're not playing SWF? You're correct on one thing tho - if you're running Empathy and Botany you still have use of those perks even if you don't heal anyone outside of yourself (both info and healing speed).
Empathetic Connection technically allows you to still be on the gen and allow the other survivor to come to you for healing, reducing the gen down-time by a bit.
-
I'm very happy that it got fixed from PTB but holy does it feel a bit too dark. Especially the edges (kind of like Boons but worse).

BHVR has released 2 horrible sets of survivor perks in a row. I'm think the best thing survivor-mains can do is just not buy their content. Once BHVR starts losing money because they refuse to do any work on the survivor side of DLC, then maybe survivor-mains will start see decent perks. I honestly can't get over how BHVR could make Haddie's perks and Yoichi perks and not realize no survivor wants them in their bloodweb and won't by the DLC because the perks just sit in the bloodweb, taking up space.
Look at Yoichi, he barely has one perk that is sitting at half a percentage of use. All combines, his perks barely are used more than 1% of the time. It's horrible. I'm betting that Haddie will have worse perk usage.
I actually want Parental Guidance and the healing perk. I'm not buying the DLC rn, just because Sadako herself feels weak (and not that fun to play imo). Waiting on a sale.
This usage rate should be taken with a grin of salt, because of the current meta (and a thing Mozic mentioned).
-
Y-you need more? How many builds do you plan on making.
-
if he didnt have his knifes i would love to play against him ive played against some killers who didnt use his knives and it was fun.Translation: If he was a M1 killer with 110% speed and no power, it would be fun to verse him. I wonder why.
-
I've seen one suggestion long ago that could work tbh (without the camping probability).
If you're atleast x meters (32? 24?) from the hook, you gain undetectable status effect as long as a survivor is hooked. This effect persists for 5 seconds after a survivor is rescued.
-

What do you mean, costume?
Currently, Alessa (Very Rare cosmetic) is, well, a cosmetic. Not a diffrent legendary rarity character, even tho she could be similiary to Cybil or Lisa (the cop and nurse respectively)
-
- Press the Secondary Action button while healing with the Med-Kit to use the Anti-Homer Syringe:
- - Over the next 16 seconds, the affected Survivor will passively gain 1 Health State.
- - The effect is cancelled if the affected Survivor loses one health state or gets grabbed by the Killer.
- - Consumes the Med-Kit upon use.
I fixed it.

It's more possible than you think. If you dedicate yourself to getting unhooks, even in solo you could get 3-5 stacks. I mean, hell...I get 4 stacks of WGLF in a heartbeat when I need to. And even then, just lower the amount of stacks needed or add alternative means of getting them. Cleanse totems, take protection hits, do gens, etc.
The whole point of my boon idea is that they aren't buffs to every team member.
Every time I see a complaint about the other boons, it's that they're free perks for the whole team. "COH is free self-care for the entire team!! Either change this or the perk is still broken!" My idea adds a boon that Isn't a boon for the ENTIRE team. I don't think every boon perk should be COH, Shadow Step. That extremely limits the possibilities of an otherwise super dope and unique idea for a survivor hex perk. Some boons should be selfish. There's only a limited number of possibilities of what they can do with an AOE boon...and the idea is too fresh and different to limit it like that imo.
And if the idea of a boon perk being "selfish" is too much to handle then they can come up with a different name for it besides Boon lol
I mean, yes it is possible. Anything is possible. Realistically speaking tho, you won't get 5 stacks often and not because the killer snuffed your boon, but the other survivors "stole" your unhooks. (also imagine if atleast 2 survivors are running this boon)
And even then, just lower the amount of stacks needed or add alternative means of getting them. Cleanse totems, take protection hits, do gens, etc. Then, the rewards shouldn't and couldn't be as game changing. So instead of Devour Hope you have something more of like Fire Up.
Every time I see a complaint about the other boons, it's that they're free perks for the whole team. "COH is free self-care for the entire team!! Either change this or the perk is still broken!"That's... only the complaint for CoH. But tbh this is the first time I've seen this complaint. The usual one is that, CoH can be placed outside of the action. You don't see that for Dark Theory, Exponetial or Shadow Step. They need to be in the heat of the moment or you get less value. (well maybe outside of Shadow Step? It's still niche then tho)
Maybe you're right that 24m boons limit the creativity, but "selfish" boons just don't fit the whole thing they have going on at the moment.
-
My problem with this is that unless everyone is notified of this perk OR you're playing SWF, you won't get 5 stacks. That's just not happening. Even 3 could be a problem.
And another one is, even though boons are designed to be this buff for the whole team, this one is selfish.
