You don't need EGC to see the glyphs. But what you do need to do is play the game normally for them to appear, for killers that means hooking survivors and for survivors that means completing generators.

These glyphs are not like previous ones which automatically spawn on the map, they need the conditions I mentioned above to be met first. So as a killer, if you have the challenge selected, once you've hooked a survivor a green glyph will appear on the map - the glyph locations are the same as totem spawns BUT not necessarily where they've spawned in that particular version of the map (there are many spawn locations for totems on a map). For survivors, have the challenge selected, complete a generator - then you should be able to find your green glyph.

In EGC the glyphs become more visible for a few seconds.

Then that should be mentioned in the game.

nah, the main idea of this perk would be to punish the survivors who want to sit in the gate trying to tbag or sit there until the killer forces them out

Again, standing near the gate would be enough distance.

Literally only the place where it happened would change.

I'm sure what you are talking about because MoM was released on Patch 2.6.3 and wasn't until Patch 3.0.0 (the next chapter) were it got nerfed.

IIRC, I do not believe Ash was on the ptb either. I believe he was just released out live without being tested on a ptb.

    He just plopped in.

I think his perks either got leaked or revealed early and people knew even then that MoM would be broken.

It feel slower to me I am much faster with the original one

But it seriously isn't. New one can be even 1s faster than old one.

And from what I've heard, old one can damage your analog stick.

The point was there are perks with much bigger issues then DS/object. Its not that those perks shouldn't have been changed, but rather why focus on perks that are little oppressive yes, but at least work. Instead of perks that desperately need massive changes in order for them to be anything over then a joke. Especially mettle of man since that perk is near impossible to activate without forcing it to an extreme degree.

But you see, MoM was actually one of the issue perks. Then it got changed to what we have now. Tackling oppresive perks first is technically the best move. I do wish that they were changed more perks for PTB, mainly easy number changes.

  • One of your ideas also has skillchecks. Why is the current one bad, I don't get it. (aside from the sound annoyance, which they could easily fix imo)

  • Is the current skillcheck wiggle mechanic bad or something?

    1. Boil over's drop % is a joke now so that shouldn't be an issue
    2. Was Midwich seriously abused by Boil Over? Where tho.

Not if they're going to cleanse the totem as per the wording of the suggested change, that totem would be destroyed. Unless I'm misinterpreting something, which is very possible, You bless a totem and then to get the effects you then need to do the cleanse action on the blessed totem breaking the totem which gives the person cleansing a full health state and leaves a healing speed bonus field for 90seconds for everyone else.

Ah, I just assumed because it's a boon, you just bless the totem = get the heal and the 100% healing speed radius. It's possible the wording might be incorrect. We would need the author to clarify it.

  • @ReikoMori said:

This pushes it into the territory of being borderline useless. The best part is the healing speed bonus, but the bonus itself is too high which was literally the problem we just solved. Just now instead of the perk just working the input required to get any benefit too high to make it viable even with 100% healing speed bonus. If someone is going to cleanse a totem to heal a health state why not use a more efficient perk like inner strength?

This is still technically more efficient than Inner Healing.

Just need to find 2 totems spots and you can heal infinitely basically in 14 seconds.

  • @Icaurs said:

Behaviour prioritizes community reaction over what is logical. I don't oppose to the object rework nor the DS, but the fact they prioritised that over.

Mettle of man: which is extremely difficult to activate, especially since protection hits are extremely janky, unless you are hit by a killer carrying a survivor.

De ja vu, which is just a joke

Up the ante, which really needs a complete rework or buff

Technician, which needs a change as its weirdly designed for new players, yet punishes them harder for missing skillchecks

    Distortion, which needs a buff

    Fixated, which does very little

    Desperate measures, its terrible

    Clairvoyance, which is just useless

There are plenty of other perks that need minor changes, but these perks and possibly others need massive changes for survivors to even consider running these perks in anything other then a joke build. They changed object and DS, because they were knee jerk reactions, to mass complaining. They did the same thing to keys. Nerf keys, ok, now what do they do. They open hatch if killer closes it. Just like that keys are rarely used. I wish they followed an actual plan, instead of making the rushed reaction to DS and Object, neither which I was happy with their rework.

I would argue only Up The Ante and Clairvoyance need massive changes from the list you made. Maybe Distortion if you're feeling fancy

Rest just need minor boosts, like number changes or, for technician, being a generator version of Bite the Bullet.

It's more so for legion than any other killer now, I'm amazed by how poorly thought out this has been. It's no surprise that the game is losing players month on month and that's a real shame.

It's really not only a Legion thing, seriously. (also they haven't changed that much, so were they that oppresive in their previous state?)

You answered yourself - spend more time = usually people get better.

The more important point being made here is this simply is not good game design and if you aren't playing with 3 other people who know exactly what to do, you may as well hook yourself.

Oh wow, you just described every soloq match ever.

This is not something specially excluded for Legion.

People keep bringing up trolls with this mechanic but seem to completely forget to mention that survivors ALREADY troll their teammates by unhook farming in front of killer? We already have trolls in the game purposely unhooking to farm for BP. No BT, and dont even position to take a body hit in the absolute most desperate situation.

Not to mention people already troll on hook by killing themsleves on hook via Kobe attempts, or purposely missing their skill checks, so survivors will have likely crossed a whole map in a futile attempt to save someone who is just planning on quitting anyway.

We already have trolls who will hold a survivor hostage with bodyblock/healing, or troll by tapping the pick-up button but never actually picking up someone

And if yall REALLY cared about trolls then why aren't we worried about the 100x speed flashlight clicks BMers do? Know how easy it would be to fix that? So easy. Is it done? No. Theres literally NO helpful reason to flick a flashlight at light speed because its not gonna stun the killer--its just there to be a nuisance. One-two flicks is fine if you're like "hey over there"--but even then they still will spam the clicks obnoxiously and teh game already has a "point" mechanic--the literal point emote. Same goes for being able to spam-crouch. No one needs to crouch 5 times in one second to evade killer--but nothing is done about that. So I don't think "omg what about trolls" is a viable argument against this, because theres a laundry list of troll-behavior already in game, thats arguably worse and has been in the game for a while.

"oh she's injured now--AND downed" girl HOW ? if the kick doesn't injure her, she only took one hit from killer if she 's stupid enough to unhook right in front of them. how tf did she get downed? and you know how you can prevent from getting injured during an unhook? ya wanna know the secret? dont unhook in front of killer. BOOM mind blown.

and "durr get better at looping" girl how is one supposed to loop when you unhook in front of the killers face. how. what loop. is there a window between the hook, the killer, and me? no. because again, unhooking in front of killers face implies THEY ARE RIGHT THERE. often times M1ing RIGHT as you unhook so who gets hit? The one who was on hook. And is insta-downed before their feet even touched the ground. But if you 're able to loop while ON HOOK please lemme see that footage.

and no, NATURALLY it makes more sense for the killer to hit the person already injured--because thats a DOWN. even if the killer is braindead and didn't pick the easier down--most survivors aren't positioning themselves to be between the victim and the killer, they will hide behind the person on hook while unhooking so if the killer does M1, the one being unhooked takes the hit and gets downed.

I shouldn't have to carry DS in the SITUATION that my team is so stupid to unhook me in front of killer. "Oh your team is trash? bring DS just in case, ya know, they decide to unhook you right in front of a Deathslinger."

Okay, I clearly see nothing we say will change your mind.

But I'm curious, because this is all in soloq, what do you think will happen after you kick the survivor?

When the ---- did I say the unhook deny would INJURE her? I literally never said that--so your little make-believe scenario literally would never happen? Because when you deny someone a heal/pick up it doesn't injure them, so denying an unhook wouldn't injure the Savior either. It would just kick them off me so they cant farm me.

yall are being SO DEFENSIVE lol. so you must be the ones unhooking in front of killers huh lmao.

so in your special scenario--Feng has BT. So I get hit. Now I have to mend. And look--the killer decides to chase me, because I'm already injured. The BT now didn't do anything, because the killer is right back on me, because for SOME REASON yall just love to unhook with the killer as your front row seat audience. Because theres never "Getting away safely" when you UNHOOK RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE KILLER.

For some reason yall are OK with being able to deny heal/pick ups, but denying an unhook OH GOD the humanity, NEVER.

"oH pepPL wOulD trOLL" girl they already DO? How many claudettes and Kate's have I had TODAY unhook me right in front of a bubba... ive legit lost count today. i have all my clips saved, I could make a whole montage just from today.

When the ---- did I say the unhook deny would INJURE her?

With logic. The killer must be nearby enough to warrant the kick. So naturally the killer would hit the unhooker.

Because when you deny someone a heal/pick up it doesn't injure them, so denying an unhook wouldn't injure the Savior either. It would just kick them off me so they cant farm me.

And this is the same situation imo. Denying it can lead to the team losing. Who said I was okay with it being a thing.

so in your special scenario--Feng has BT. So I get hit. Now I have to mend. And look--the killer decides to chase me, because I'm already injured. The BT now didn't do anything,

Then the killer is playing sub-optimaly or just don't care about both BT and DS. Or you should start using DS. Or work on your looping.

I know there are situation where unhooking right in front of the killer (with hook bombing) is just stupid. But kicking the survivor away is just more stupid.

i have all my clips saved, I could make a whole montage just from today.

Please, I need to see them.

Imagine this: Feng comes to unhook you -- killer is right there. So you get downed immediately again and rehooked again.

Now imagine THIS: Feng comes again to unhook you, with killer RIGHT THERE, and the second you 're unhooked you get downed again, and immedately hooked again. Congrats. Your game lasted 4min because your Feng with 2 braincells farmed you.

And it happens in the next game. And the next. And the next.

Its a risk you gotta take in this game--if you wanna get a SAFE unhook, you may need to kick. But you run the risk of not getting someone to save you next time. All the perks in this game have risks like that. Those that wanna cry and ######### and do so--but honestly id like AN OPTION to prevent another survivor from farming me.

Now Imagine this this: Feng comes to unhook you, but she has BT. Even tho the killer is right there you both get away safely and she even tanks hits for you.

But, oh, you kicked her. Oh she's injured no-- and downed. And the killer just gained massive momentum.

While yes, you might not get farmed you most likely made the team lose. Doing a 1for1 is sometimes the only option. It's unlucky if the killer doesn't respect BT and even more unlucky if the unhooker doesn't have it.

    (also imagine trollers with this)

I'm aware it's an exhaustion perk but it does nothing really to put people off, never used it personally and never will.

Most of the time multiple survivors have it, so if one head-on is disabled, their friend's one is enabled.

You should atleast try to use it? Idk, maybe your opinion would change or something.

Infinite mending wasn't considered a bug.

    It's was only considered broken.

The add on did it's function, the devs simply so it was too broken that they treated who used it with a Ban.

    And

    The Flashlight should be nerfed.

How? Make the flashlight weaker or take more time too stun a Slasher.

The add-on did do it's function... but taking it to extreme. The infinite mending bug was a bug that, for some reason, basically doubled your mending time everytime you got hit by Legion if he had a knife add-on. So "by technicality", yes it was doing what's it was supposed to do. In reality, however it should've increased the mending time just by a couple of seconds. Not minutes.

The flashlight shouldn't be nerfed. (aside from maybe clicking)

    Why? Because yes.

  • @MrDBM1 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2927730#Comment_2927730

Unfortunately i need to disagree with the looping.

It's the way to play the game.

The pallet's/window's belong to the game but it's not meant too use has a trap for killer's.

    What is DBD?

DBD is a game of 4vs1(survivor's vs slasher/killer)

The objective is to Fix generator's and escape.

Survive is part of the game has well, but trolling the Slasher or "traping" the Slasher isn't the way to play the game.

You had infinite mending from legion for example it was a broken mechanic

    But it was legal.

The Devs saw the issue and warned player's if they used the infinite mending, they would get banned.

Basically what im saying is the Devs only acknowledges if the community Agrees there's a problem with the game.

    ______________

    Now talking about try hard's.

Yes this would solve the problem.

    But

    It would suppress the problem.

Imagine an update with everything i said and you/the community in 10matches, you would find try hard's in 3 of 10 matche's.

But for that to happen the community needs to accept the game has a problem and they should

    Infinite Mending was a bug.

    Looping is not a bug.

How do you even compare these two things?

And people actually find looping enjoyable. If you nerfed that (aside from map's tile logic) it would probably harm the game more than help. It's just how the game evolved.

    -----

There are multiple problems with this game, but not having non-ranked matches (atleast in my opinion) is not one of these problems.

(also damn completely ignored my flashlight statement, sad)

  • @Munqaxus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2927718#Comment_2927718

Things like flashbang, blastmine, distraction are all very weak perks but do something and are fun to use.

But also, I think there should be different version of DS, BT, Adrenaline, WoO, etc. Maybe make DS clones exclusive from each other.

So say you have a Decisive Strike, that instead of stunning a killer for 5, the survivor throws down a flashbang that blinds the killer for 5 seconds instead. Or a Decisive Strike that throws down a bear trap that traps the killer for 5 seconds while the killer removes the bear trap. Or a Decisive Strike that throws down a smoke grenade and lets you disappear like a stage magician and move 5 seconds away from the killer.

Or a Borrowed Time that works on yourself, instead of other survivors. An adrenaline that full heals you after the exit gates are powered and let's you rescue survivors quicker. A Spine Chill that lets you see the killers aura for a second, when he looks at you.

Killers rely a lot on slowdown perks and there's a big variety to choose from. There's a lot of Meta survivor perks that survivors feel like they need, why not diversify them.

I'm also up for perks that are horrible, getting some buffs or changes, like Corrective Action. What an absolutely horrible perk, why does it even exist.

Honestly, every patch should buff one of the absolutely horrible survivor and one of the absolutely horrible killer perks. If nothing else, change the numbers a bit, which wouldn't take but a second or two of the developers time.

Y'see, my problem with this, is basically you're making Custom Moves from Smash 4 instead of perks that feel similiar yet are diffrent.

Slowdown perks do the same thing (slowdown gens) but they all do it diffrently or require diffrent conditions to be met to activate. The idea is there, the execution is just, not good.

An idea of "Anti tunnelling perk but diffrent" could be like... If you get hooked twice in a row something happens so you're safe, just as an example.

(Oh, and the day they make "borrowed time for yourself" I feel the game will get slightly ruined, somewhat similiar to what Boon:CoH did.)

  • Clearly, they don't play their own game.

    Yeah, because they're making it.

BUT, I'll agree they should listen to us more.... but at the same time, "we" suck so I understand why they sometimes just do what they want.

  • @MrDBM1 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2925420#Comment_2925420

Yeah that's the objective of 1 and 2.

The game is for the survivor's to fix the generator and escape.

Not to wait on the Slasher and throw a pallet in the head every single time or going to window's every single time.

    ----------

    The Flashlight it's broken.

It's annoying because it doesn't give a Slasher to defend them self's from the light.

    Make sense to blind?

    Yes

    It's Broken?

    Yes

    -----------

If you're a Casual player, you don't probably know how the community play's the game.

There's alot of Player's that play the Game for the Rank/battle pass.

That's why i suggested an Non Rank mode.

Because Casual player's want to play the game with try hard's breaking there experience.

And most would argue this is now what makes dbd, dbd - looping effectively.

Just look up. Or use Lightborn! That's a perk.

Because Casual player's want to play the game with try hard's breaking there experience.

Alright, but that still doesn't mean that tryhards wouldn't go into casual matches for easier games.

  • My suggestion is that newly released survivors have perks that are unique and fun to use. BHVR does a good job of creating perks for Killers, however.

And that's what they're doing. They're fun and are funny when used but they're not strong enough to be on DH or BT levels.

I would argue that it's the same for killers. But why use those when you can just spam slowdown perks?

    • Hag’s daily is impossible if you run her red add-on that disable her ability to teleport in exchange for 115% movement speed and slowdown at traps. (It’s not a great add-on but it’s kind of fun to try sometimes. You just can’t do the teleport mission with it though.)

There should be no luck based mechanics at all in the game, otherwise the game has a component of luck, which is not skill, and then situations like that happen.

This would also mean that chests and skillchecks would have to be removed. Oh and Pig's helmet I guess. Ceno's box. The map generation alongside spawnpoints.

Okey that's right I mean they definitely had to make changes so the map meets dbds needs but many people want library gone for example wich would be a major change

I feel like, library would be a lot better if the top had atleast a hook(s) or more fall locations (like in the corner where the totem can spawn for example).

That would make it atleast somewhat better.

  • @Starrseed said:

Come one we all know they never will delete the map. They paid good money for the deal with resi. And they are very limited in how much they can change in license stuff be it killer or map. Probably part of the deal was to make a accurate copy of the police department

I have tried saying this many times and all the responses are, "then everyone would pick the Survivor with the best one blah blah blah". The DBD Board Game has this exact idea intact. Each Survivor in the game has a "SIGNATURE PERK" that no other Survivor can use. If they did this it would automatically take it easier on Killers having to go against 4 of the same perks if some of the meta perks became "SIGNATURE" to whatever Survivor. I think its a good idea, but they sort of already spoiled the player base with being able to give anything to anyone, but I agree, Survivor is lackluster as a feature due to them just being skins of one another.

    And their responses are correct.

DBD Board Game is just releasing. So, the most common response "if they've done it from the beginning", already applies there. And the other thing, people who maxed out their survivors for a diffrent reason than playstyle could feel to be at a disadvantage.

Thank you for the boost despite adding nothing to my post! <3

    1. Seeing past Rift rewards may encourage people to participate more and/or purchase the premium track, especially if they see items they missed out on. They may not want to miss out in the future. Super simple selling tactic.

    2. Yes, you absolutely can see the rift while it's active. However, as in today's case, if you find you're missing a cosmetic or charm LATER, you can check to make sure you reached the appropriate tier before reporting a bug or missing cosmetic.

I am 100% sure I completed the time in question today, however, I don't play Yui often, and had no reason to believe a premium track reward was missing *because* I've been sure to complete all 70 tiers one way or another. Unfortunately, I can no longer *prove* it, since the rift is closed and I cannot confirm with screenshots.

It's very simple feedback and the passive-aggressiveness wasn't necessary. But have a great day!

Sorry if you think it was passive-agressive. <3

    1. If I find a nice cosmetic or a charm in the previous rift, why would it encourage me to buy a new one that doesn't have that cosmetic or charm?
    2. I just don't see the point in a feature that might be used a couple of times. This should be a thing that imo BHVR should be able to check themselfes if you ask them to in a ticket.
  • It's also just nice to look at past rewards, especially for those who don't pay for the premium track, to encourage them to do so in the future.

Ho- What? I'm sorry that just doesn't make sense.

If there was a way to be able to look back and confirm what awards we reached before Rift closing, that would be great, that way if there WAS a bug that removed or didn't award cosmetics, it could be reported.

And you can do that, while the rift is active.

    New Add-on - BFFs

Earn tokens for hitting Survivors during Feral Frenzy

    Second chained hit: 1 token

    Third chained hit: 2 tokens

    Fourth chained hit: 3 tokens

    Fifth chained hit: 4 tokens

Once the gates are powered, if 30 or more tokens have been collected, gain a 4% movement speed boost when not using Feral Frenzy

This add on is very good but

    1. What tier is it uncommon, common, epic, iridescent?

    2. You should make some changes on when this boost gets activated because basically this is an end game add on but something doesn't feel good about it

Or make it 1st hit :1 token 2nd:2 tokens 3rd :3 tokens and 4th :4 tokens or change it when it activates or reduce the amount it needs to activates because at the 5th hit the frenzy will end so basically you are awarded because you downed a survivor after all but you also lose your power and you need to struggle to take these 30 hits. So losing the power and trying to get 30 hits with the consequence to deplete all the power is not very balanced

    Ex from 30 to 25

    1. It's very rare (purple)
    2. What do you mean exactly?

So losing the power and trying to get 30 hits with the consequence to deplete all the power is not very balanced

Remember that Legion's 5th hit in one frenzy downs a survivor. I do feel like the movement speed could activate sooner, but this is a very cool add-on.

Ok.... I expected more people to see them

    Ok😅

    Well, I did see them.

And I gotta say that most of these, which are number changes, are just weird and not needed? If that makes sense. It just feels like changing for the sake of changing. (Blast Mine, Balanced Landing, Mettles of Man as examples). Also what does "Reduce Blindness" even mean?

Or you don't change meta perks that are used pretty much everytime (DS, Iron Will, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, BT - that you even buffed which is amazing)

You buffed Dark Theory to... 7%. Yeah it's a boon but messing with running speed that much is just asking for trouble.

Counterforce is used for breaking totems. If you're blessing a totem, why would you still need tokens to cleanse them? Off the Record can activate multiple times, that is 2. Unless you want even more.

Reverted AND buffed OoO. Do I need to say more?

Oh, and literally the first two photos, "Old [thing]".

    .......What?

    They think this add-on,

    obraz.png

    should be basekit.

  • 1st, Jesus Christ leave Legacy alone.

2nd, it takes about... 1,6 mil? To get to lvl 50. Sooooo, multiply that by 30 aaaand about 48 milion bp. Yikes.

Agree that P30 is too much, I'd do it up to P10 with these rewards

    P1-P3: Not changed

P4: Character's first teachable perk as a charm

    P5: Mastery Cosmetic 1

P6: Character's second teachable perk as a charm

    P7: Mastery Cosmetic 2

P8: Character's last teachable perk as a charm

P9: Character portrait as a charm

    P10: Last Mastery Cosmetic

Feel that is unreasonable enough a grind that it bringing Legacy: Red Edition would be justified, but it's not comically horrible.

Also, gotta say those rewards make sense. Even tho they're just charms they do make sense.

1 … 10 11 12 13 14 … 136
