You just got him. Give it time and I'm sure you'll see his potential. I've been playing him non stop on console, and have won 90% of the matches I've played.
Glad to hear you are having success but I must chime in the opposite. I've yet to die to an Oni player (rank 6 right now).

I want three different ones so I can put them all on and yell, "He's after me lucky charms!" as I run away from the killer. "He's after me lucky charm" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Soooo Leprechaun confirmed?

The fact that some survivors have exploited bugs in the past—while equally scummy—is not an excuse for killers to be freely exploiting the basement bug... and acting like it's their God-given right to do it at that, just because they got hit with a DS their last game. (Pro tip: you can literally counter DS by not tunneling. Wild, I know.)
Stop making excuses for cheap exploits. It's garbage *no matter who does it* the end.
There are I think 3 rift challenges requiring using the basement.
Not everyone knew about the basement bug.
If a survivor is wiggling and the basement hook is the only hook available why would they give a free escape.
Yes I'm sure there were people exploiting it before it got patched but not everyone was, and I'd wager most didn't know. If you only play killer and don't use the forums there was no indication of a bug.

She had it coming for years. She broke the game and was left a monstrosity for that entire time. There was NOTHING you could do to counter a Nurse player that knew what they were doing before the nerf.
Looping? Ineffective against a Nurse that knows how to counter jukes.
Stealth? Good luck with that considering every new release adds more and more perks to make it harder for survivors to hide.
Gen Rushing? Didn't work against a character that can zoom across the map at mach 5 every few seconds.
Even if you managed to juke her it didn't matter. Her blink would recharge and she would close that distance again. There has never been a killer as powerful as her and I'm glad she's been changed.
PS4
I rest my case.

I don't go out of my way to make others upset, but when I do get salty messages, my favorite one is, "You're a camper, git gud trash killer"
I typically respond with this message:
"I was making s'mores for you, but you died too quickly on the hook so I had to eat the ones I made for you! Jokes aside, GG, don't take everything to heart. 🤗😁"
I send this picture (PS4) every time with no additional response.

Havent been hooked by an Oni yet....the ones on PS4 have not been good.
Have you played Oni PS4 yet? Sadly his charge has no curve to it on PS4 (very little anyway) and the frames drop horrendously!
Unless they can optimize PS4, Oni is a basic M1 without a power. You don't even have to 360 his insta down you can literally just move to the left or right.

If they didn't want people doing it, there wouldn't be a giant "LEAVE MATCH"
COD has a disconnect/leave match punishment system and they too have a "leave match" option.
MMORPGs have a "withdraw" option for dungeons queues that also have a punishment.
The option isn't there to be used as a game mechanic but so you have a way to leave for irl reasons or take a punishment for your rage. The option is designed to not be abused/used as a means to give one side an advantage in a match.

Edit: Anyone got a good build for Oni that uses literally 0 meta perks for him? Because the most useful perk I've gotten from his tree that wasn't one of his own, was Franklins lol

But in all seriousness yea they need to have an option to turn it off. People that use a controller are as incompetent with aiming as most people think. I play Borderlands with high sensitivity and aim assist turned off and have 0 problems aiming at crit spots. In fact I hate aim assist in most console games. Halo 5 was so annoying to deal with and was so unnecessary. It messes me up more than it helps. Maybe for baby controller users it helps, but anyone that's been playing with a controller for a long time shouldn't have a problem aiming.
"People that use a controller are as incompetent with aiming as most people think"
I'm guessing you meant "aren't" and yes I agree. As someone who plays console all the time I can aim just fine without it. (especially games with sniping...nothing worse than having auto aim slightly pull your cross-hairs away when someone walks by your perfectly lined up shot...)
Edit: Damn spelling....
-
Loads of people hate auto-aim and I honestly don't know why its still here. I don't think it was ever a proper working mechanic. I can't tell you how many times as a CONSOLE NURSE PLAYER I have had my blink hit ruined because it locks me into an animation to hit a tree or wall...
-
I know BHVR is claiming "people used this to dodge lobbies" but that sounds like a hollow excuse. Do they have data to back up the mentality of those who left a lobby? I dodge lobbies from ping as a survivor and as a killer typically only against 3-4 toolboxes.
I can only speak for myself but the lobby bug was amazing insight into how I wished to play as a solo survivor and it makes no logical sense (to me) for it to be removed. If I see a level 20 in my lobby when I'm at rank 4 (just an example) then I assume its a SWF and I can play around that as a solo.

No matter how busted they’re, they still got nerfed. If they only listened to a majority of exclusive survivor players then they wouldn’t have ever been nerfed.
Face the facts, they do listen to both sides.
Unless they have text to speech they don't listen at all!

So youre really complaining that people are outdoing game mechanics, while you do literally do the same? Iam not saying thats its right do plug out the cable, but you shouldnt be so entitled to get you 4k, cause thats not how the game is designed.
Slugging for a 4k isn't breaking game mechanics.
Disconnecting to spawn a hatch is.
Now if I'm incorrect and BHVR is actually going to claim that they designed the game with "DC tech" in mind I will literally stop playing right now, buy a plane ticket to Ottawa and smash my head on the glass outside their offices until the sense being knocked out of me falls into their heads.

People literally based their entire gameplay loop off of BL because it was super 'balanced.'
Now that it is actually balanced, these people are suffering.
As someone who plays stealth I actually love the "no fall noise" the perk got.

At this point I’m calling this an exploit. I can’t play a few game on PS4 without a killer purposely using this to bug. I play SWF we try staying away from basement and I’ve even gone out of my way to directly message the killer. It’s basically a 1v3 or 1v2 after getting taken to the basement.
I just had a game were my friend couldn’t get out the basement and the spirit knew this to her advantage and tunneled and slugged to people because she knows he is disability ATM. We directed him out the basement and the spirit came back picked him up took him back in the basement, but she didn’t hook him she drop in the corner. Finally it he could see again so I went to pick him up the corner was bugged and I didn’t know that. I pick him up and we both we’re stuck in the corner unable to move.
Can't speak for all killers (as I'm sure some are abusing it) but we have a couple rift challenges that require basement hooking AND basement hooks are the strongest hooks in the game.
Can't say they are all abusing it.

You ever going to actually try to learn to use the Oni or are you just going to play like a m1 billy? Bro camp and tunnel by all means, but I’d expect you Oni players to actually at least try and learn the character you just bought
I will say that as far as PS4 goes I have yet to be hit by a Oni "insta down". Its so damn easy to dodge, maybe its different with PC/mouse sensitivity but PS4 Oni needs some help.

Hard to see and frame rate.....

I chose this option but I need to make a correction.
"Buy MegaWaffle both but do not buy him cosmetics"

PS4.....

Unless its a rift I'm always the gen jockey so it does little for me personally.
As a killer it just means I cannot commit to a chase if I suspect someone has it because it will be clear where I am, and if I stay near the hook it will be clear to do gens. Sounds....great.

As much as I am hyped for Yui, The Oni and everything else that comes with it. I feel like this update is more straight misses than hits :/
A lot of changes are honestly just more disappointing than anything, like removing the ability to see ranks of other survivors in your lobbies, the flick being removed from The Oni, event cosmetics not being given to the whole playerbase (This is just my personal gripe, I wouldn't mind either way if I got it or not.), Legion being nerfed to the ground, DW being buffed way more than it should (even though the devs did say it won't change nothing, it was nice to at least pose some threat if the killer has a small Terror Radius but is still nearby), Rank Reset only taking you to the previous rank colour rather than taking you way back (there's a reason people enjoyed Rank Reset).
Overall, while I am hyped and pumped for this update. I am just disappointed. Disappointed a lot of these changes went through.

Just wait people will complain wraith and freddy still avoid it because of no TR so theyll make it so if the killers in a certain meter range it works anyway.
Honestly with all the changes that extend chase times yet do nothing for gen speeds more and more people are going to tunnel and hook patrol.

Frame rate drops during gameplay, lag spikes, random booting, getting force DC'd, getting blue screened, getting hit miles away from the Killer, miles away from the window, frame rate drops while turning, vaulting causes instant lag, hit boxes (as in I get hit whilst being behind the Killer, nowhere near of their cone of hitbox) 75% of every skill check is lagged which makes Ruin super strong due to game optimization, maps never change and stay the same 2 to 3 games in a row, booted from lobbies I load into cause of "network error" (nothing I do fixes it), lobby simulator, the game freezes if the Killer leaves the after game lobby and pauses for more than 10 seconds, anything else?
Oh! You want me to state some good things about playing on console? I play on PS4, you would love to know how it's like, wouldn't you?
I think I can play the game sometimes?
Yeah, that's about it.
I've never had a problem with skillchecks even during super laggy matches. I believe skillchecks are client side and not host.

These spots are used actively and intentionally, and can be found most of the time by looking at where the trap will be placed. Saying that people shouldn't be banned for this is like saying survivors who exploited the crotus prenn roof glitch shouldn't have been banned because it's just part of the map
Hidden traps spots can be found and disarmed or simply avoided and do not make the game impossible to play/win.
The roof glitch made it impossible to hit survivors and participate in normal gameplay.
While I do hope they look into the trap spots the only reason it is becoming a big issue is due to the rift forcing people to play Trapper.

Frank morrison: He is definitely the leader of the gang, he has cold behavior, he has no mercy for any survivors and maybe even if he had never met the other members of the legion, he would still be a killer.
Julie:She kills for frank ,she loves him but he doesn't ,she recognizes jeff, he doesn't stop hunting but gives him an advantage to escape ,while accompanied by her friends and Frank, .
Susie:she definitely does not like to kill, in her first days in the fog, she only hurts the survivors but not hooked them, the entity with frank's help is corrupting her mind so much that when she feels exhausted and closes her eyes, at opening his eyes is stained with innocent blood on his hands.
Joey:perhaps the most neutral member of the legion, its appearance seems like the most dangerous, but it is not, sometimes it lets the survivors live but with the warning that next time it will not be the same, sometimes he and susie regret Having met Frank, but a new feeling that appeared inside them when they entered the fog makes them want to be there ...
WHOA! Where is my bae Myers!?

Disclaimer: I do not own Freddy so my opinion is based only from playing against him.
Freddy's teleport - I find this perfectly fine and the mindgame of guessing if he is coming to my gen or not is fun. Gives a bit of a "fear" factor to him.
Freddy's snares - I honestly find these easy to dodge and thanks to them being big red pools its not hard to miss them.
Freddy's Pallets - I play survivor 99% solo so when a Freddy is using this add-on I do tend to fall for it in areas I've not been. I don't mind this add-on because you have to sacrifice a slot to use it and that means no "wombo combo" with add-ons.
Freddy's "new" sleep mechanics - I don't mind the length of the timer to "auto" fall asleep and i'm glad they added the alarm clock since I no longer have to give my position away with gens.
Overall I enjoy this new Freddy WAY more than the old Freddy and find him more interact-able. While I have only gone against a handful of these "Forever Freddy/Slow Freddy" builds I never had a serious problem. I can see where the slowdown can get a little out of hand and require more teamwork but if my teammates would stop DCing I don't see why we couldn't escape. I honestly wish less people would DC against him because I enjoy games against Freddy (unlike before).
