It’s all about how you make the game out to be. We’ve ALL had frustrating rounds as both killer and survivor because one side is BM the other. Although nobody is entitled to make your game fun. If you have a frustrating game as killer because the survivor break LOS and you simply lose the chase then what do you have to complain about. They aren’t gonna just give up.
You have rounds with overly altrustic teammates and toxic players, which is frustrating on both the killer and survivor side. All you can do is make it through the round and move on to the next one. I don’t have anything to complain about as a survivor except when killers complain about survivors being too OP, yet that same killer resorts to camping and tunneling with 5 gens left and then spam the end game chat calling everybody trash. -
Not all SWF are toxic though. Some people just wanna have fun with friends. That what video games are supposed to be about, having fun. No need to take it super serious.Wolf74 said:By removing a toxic, unbalanced feature, the playerbase could actually GROW, because the game would get a better reputation of being well balanced and fun to play for both sides.

Definitely Panda and Monto. Puppers and Vooshy would be nice as well. While I love Noob3 I’m not sure he’d get cosmetics due to the bans, but he has changed his playstyle a lot since then.TheCatLady said:@Rebel_Raven said:
Hope they update the roster a bit if they do. I'd like to see Noob3, HybridPanda, and Monto in on it.Same here, although I agree that Noob3 is unlikely to get cosmetics because of his bans but I'd definitely like to see Panda and Monto get cosmetics, they're the two main DbD youtubers I watch.

As long as you aren’t seen by the killer, you’re being stealthy. You can stealth around even when playing Meg and Nea with bright red and blue hair, as long as you can break LOS and crouch when you need to. I don’t always rely in my skills to win a chase so sometimes I will hide in a bush and some killers are blind enough to not see you and sometimes the bushes on certain maps (Haddonfield, Swamp, Yamaoka) are super dense and any Claudette can easily hide in them.
I can count on maybe one hand the amount of times I’ve been spotted hiding in bushes on Haddonfield. It’s not very frequent you are in a match with killers that actually have eyes and can spot you in bushes which is why a lot of survivors tend to hide in bushes.
If a survivor is just licking a wall then that is their own fault for not finding a better spot to hide, but most of the time killers are just oblivious to the most obvious hiding spots. -
Sorry about it but SWF isn’t getting removed. It’s a HUGE selling point and it wouldn’t be smart to remove it because some people think it is unbalanced. The ONLY thing they could do is disable Discord but at the same time there are other way to communicate and Sony and Microsoft are more than likely not gonna disable party chat for consoles for this game.Wolf74 said:@KiraElijah said:
@Wolf74 @The_Crusader the dispute between y’all is never ending. Wolfy, I hate SWF too. But we have to deal with it.Nothing is written in stone. Anything can change. And even if we can't get rid of it, we need to keep telling the Devs that this crap is NOT balanced.
If we just keep your mouth shut, this will get even worse.
That was what happend the first one and a half year. Killer didn't speak up and survivor complained like crazy and got heard and got all kind of buffs.
Now the killer learned from that and speak up.
I’m all for balancing the game but how are they gonna balance SWF without giving a huge nerf to solo queue? Honestly 4 solo queue vs one killer is in a good place, it’s somewhat balanced. Nerfing that would just making the game unbalanced. -
While I’m not agreeing nor disagreeing with either side of the argument because I can relate to both sides to some degree. You do know that we are ALL human beings playing right? If the killer has the right to play how he wants (toxic or not) the survivor does as well whether that be flashlighting or just doing gens. It’s not JUST the killer that has the right to play how they want. The survivors are not entitled to make YOUR game fun as the same goes for the killer side. That’s why both sides get butthurt over certain things happening in their rounds. I don’t condone toxic players but any player can play how they want to as long as the aren’t breaking any rules.Wolf74 said:@The_Crusader said:
God what is it with you? Killers are ALWAYS perfect in your eyes, they can do no wrong!
The survivors are stupid to run for the unhook yes but its the killers fault for not leaving the hook in the first place.
But god forbid these people want to unhook someone and help them enjoy the game. I can see why you play killer now, you clearly lack any kind of empathy for other people.
Lets not forget that because lf how the stupid system works survivors actually LOSE points when another survivor is hooked. The only way they can earn this back is by unhooking.
So no pal, it's the killers who are toxic. Theu sit there refusing to put any effort into the game and even if survivors rush gens they can't pip due to losing benevolence points and getting no evader points.
Keep defending it though. Really showing your true colours.
You do not know jack about me, so stop judging me.
You could not be further from the truth, but I refuse to go that route and defend myself here against your personal attacks. You just use an ad hominem to attack me, to cover up your weak arguments.
The killer can play how he wants. There is no right to unhook or get unhooked. Your enjoyment is something the killer is obliged to take care of.And talking about your precious empathy: are you aware that the killer PLAYER are also human beings?
They are not just there to take care about YOUR "fun", but they themself are actually playing a videogame for THEIR enjoyment.
so stop asking for more punishments for legal gameplays. -
What you’re saying is true, but hiding in bushes can be viable if you’re playing Claudette or Adam. I have a somewhat “ninja build” on my Claudette running Urban Evasion, Calm Spirit, Iron Will, and Self Care (sorry but I can’t do without Self Care) so I don’t make a sound. I wear her darkest clothes (green and brown shirt) and make sure I can crouch my way around the killer. Some maps it is super easy to break LOS like Lery’s but some maps like Shelter Woods and ESPECIALLY Rotten Fields you can’t break LOS, you have to cross your fingers the killer is corn blind. I find Swamp, Haddonfield, and Family Residence to be the easiest to not get spotted and found first. Running the killer around the big boat on the swamp then breaking LOS for a quick second and crouching into the cattails can really throw a killer off. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m just saying that you don’t HAVE to move around if you don’t need to and staying completely still to not be found works wonders sometimes.thesuicidefox said:The problem with stealth is that too many survivors suck at it and do it way too much because they have no game awareness. It's not hard to know when and where someone is in a chase (part of the reason I run Bond) and it's not hard to understand prioritization. If someone is on a hook and someone else goes down, that's your cue to go make a save. Doesn't matter if the 4th guy goes for it too, if he gets the save, go for the other save or go back to the gen.
Also hiding in a bush crossing your fingers the killer is blind is not stealth. Stealth is breaking LoS and actually sneaking around the killer without being seen or heard. People have this idea you need to sit still to be stealthy. Nah, I can RUN around and still be stealthy, as long as I know the killer won't see my tracks or me it's stealth.

That isn’t possible. Even if they disabled Discord there is still Skype and FaceTime or a simple phone call. Not to mention Sony and Microsoft wouldn’t just disable party chat for one game on console. It’s not that serious, people play with friends to have fun, not all people troll you know. My fondest memories of online gaming are with other people. SWF isn’t going anywhere due to it being a huge selling point for the game and there isn’t any way to stop communication from people, they could all possibly be having a LAN party at somebody house. My point is that even if they disabled Discord, there is NO way to stop all communication and SWF isn’t going away. It’s that simple.Avariku said:most of you seem to completely overlook the point. This is information that SWF's get for free, among a variety of other pieces of information.
we need to fix the gap of information between SWF and solo. this gap is one of the biggest problems with proper balance in the game.
in order to reach better balance, we either need to remove the ability to use 3rd party software with the game (not even sure if that's possible) or we need to equalize the information between SWF and solo.
only after that is handled can this game ever get a semblance of true balance. -

Yes, which is why players are saying it. Legion is way too weak in its current state and needs changes.
His base speed needs to be 115% and his frenzy requires WAY too many hits on a survivor to down them. His ability is more of a downfall than something that actually helps him in a chase.

You are both missing the thing I was focusing on, which is when tunneling is done as a BAD strategy. I understand that it can have merits in a lot of cases (some killers base kits practically focus on it, like bing bong boi here) but there are many times where killers will put themselves in an absurdly disadvantageous position just to make a single survivor's game awful. I'm talking survivors coming out of games with a 0/700/0/8000 point spread because the killer refuses to go after anyone else, defend gens, etc. It sounds hyperbolic, but it happens a lot, even at red ranks.I understand why a lot of killers get defensive about this, because of the overwhelming survivor mentality of "I need to survive every single game behavior plz," but there's definitely a middle ground to be had. The best games are always ones where the post game chat isnt full of salt from either side, but people offering advice and complimenting good plays.
This is exactly the kind of games that SHOULD be happening. There is a reason that some survivors are salty in the post game chat. The 0/700/0/8000 spread of points is the WORST as a survivor.
Yes, tunneling is a viable strategy but when the killer CONTINUOUSLY camps the hook with 4 or 5 gens left and ONLY goes after that one survivor, it’s just bad gameplay...making one survivors game awful for a stupid reason (maybe they have gotten all the trophies and the killer feels like they have something to prove, being a Twitcch streamer, bringing in a flashlight, etc...) is just unsportsmanlike. All survivor complains are not from pure salt due to having entitlement but maybe JUST MAYBE some killers actuallu have bad gameplay that results in a 0K/1K from making one survivors game brutal for no reason. It’s much more enjoyable when the killer is after ALL survivors.
Tunneling and camping when there are lots of gens is exactly when you SHOULD do it. And it works, too - get an opponent out of the game early and now its a 1v3, not a 1v4. The other gens are easy to defend against 3 survivors.
No it’s not what you should do. Good survivors will easily gen rush you when you tunnel and camp a single survivor. You’re leaving three survivors to fix gens. If you stand by the hook and they KNOW you are camping, by the time the one survivor on the hook is in struggle mode there is one generator left. This is one of the reasons why killers complain about generators getting done quickly because they have poor gameplay and poor gen control
Good Survivors are rare.
Good survivor/killers are a rarity in this game anyways. I don’t run into too many overly altruistic survivors too be honest. I sit on the hook until struggle a lot of the time.

So you're telling me the constant 4k's i get at rank 1 doing this are all in my head?
I never brought up your 4K’s nor did I know you were Rank 1, that is irrelevant and frankly I really don’t care. Getting a 4K is about as impressive as escaping as a survivor, which is not very much.
Point is that good survivors will start to gen rush if the killer starts to camp at 4 or 5 gens left. Camping when the exit gates are powered is really the only thing you can do at that time, but with 4 or 5 gens left camping shouldn’t be a necessity when you have to control gens to avoid other survivors from escaping. It leads to many killers complaining about generators getting done too quickly because they camp the hook while the survivors gen rush because the killer isn’t around to stop them. It’s that simple.

This would be like saying survivors should only 33% a gen before running off to a fresh one. It's more fun for the killer if you waste time instead of focusing on completing your objectives.
But, survivors aren't there to make sure the killer has fun, and the killer isn't there to make sure the survivors do. But survivors have the advantage in that if they aren't having fun, and the die quickly, they can join a new game; killers, on the other hand, stay until the last survivor is dead or escapes.
You might not like that a killer capitalizes on the fact that you're injured, or dead on hook, where another survivor isn't, but he doesn't particularly like when you run back to complete a nearly finished generator instead of starting a new one. And yet, I don't see a lot of killer mains jumping on the forums to complain about survivors completing generators. After all, that's what survivors are supposed to do: try to survive. By the same token, "killer" isn't just a fancy title: they're meant to kill you.
If they aren't exploiting, lag switching, hacking or otherwise cheating, take your lumps and join a new lobby when you die.
Yet when the killer gets a 1K due to tunneling and the survivor being good at looping the killer and the killer REFUSES to change targets it becomes an issue right? I’ve literally ran some boosted killers around for five gens proceeded by a fat facecamp. It’s the killers only option to camp when they have no kills and all the gens are left but they got to that point due to poor gen control, tunneling, and not changing targets. That’s kind of tunneling I’m talking around. Then people wanna throw around that killers need a MASSIVE buff which in all reality it is because some players just play like foreheads and extremely boosted. Sure some killers (Freddy and Leatherface come to mind) need some reworks, but if you’re bad with Billy and Myers and can’t get ONE kill even when tunneling it reflects on the killer, not survivor.
A lot of times it is your own teammates that screw you over due to farming you on the hook and the killer being around then you are the one who gets screwed over. I can’t really blame the killer but when I am the killer and I notice survivors getting farmed I won’t ONLY tunnel them especially if they are good at loops or non-toxic. I’ll instead go after the farmer, but that’s just me.
In the example you cite: the killer follows a single survivor through the whole match, and then face camps them for the 1k, the killer doesn't pip. A single hook, along with the at hook penalty, isn't enough to pip.
I'm not sure I'd describe that as "tunneling," or the more accurate "focused fire," so much as stubbornness and stupidity.
That's not a good killer for several reasons, but those killers are extremely rare at any decent rank. They'll learn, hopefully, or get too frustrated and quit. When it's happened when I've played as survivor, we were able to open the doors and body-block for the exit. It doesn't always turn out that way, but assuming it isn't a Hillbilly or Leatherface, it's very doable.
But then, I come across all sorts of bad survivors too. Particularly those who DC as soon as they hear my nurse blink for the first time, or the first time they're down'ed, or as soon as we land in the swamp, and leave the rest of the survivors at a handicap. Or, as you point out, go for a save while the killer is still there. Or sandbag other survivors to escape a chase, or train their team to divert attention from themselves... I'll never stop being amazed when I'm called a "camper," when I catch a survivor going for a save and they loop me around the hooked survivor instead of pulling me away. Or a "camper" when they complete 4 gens on one side of the map and leave me with a gen trifecta that's fast and easy to patrol.
My point is, bad players exist on both sides, and either side can ruin a match for you as a survivor. In your example, sure, I can see that the match was terrible for the one survivor who was chased the entire match before being face camped. The other three got their gens and got out. Not a great match, but you move on to the next. On the other hand, a survivor who DC's on his team, or sandbags them, or trains them, or simply kills themselves on the hook... that hurts all the remaining survivors far more than the killer chasing a single person. And quitting is contagious. As often as not when one survivor DC's at the start, another will as well, and I'm left either feeling like a dick for killing the remaining two or letting them farm the gens and escape.
I'm not saying the killer you describe isn't a problem, and maybe I'm just super lucky to hardly ever come across them, but in my experience there are a lot of other things to be upset about before that rare killer in the purple / red ranks that acts like that.
For sure there are bad players on both sides. Just last night, three people joined in and it was a Doctor (I hate Doctor so much) and a Claudette player decided it was a good idea to start sandbagging while the Doctor was playing extremely aggressive, don’t know why...there was only three people. Probably just wanted to get the match over with.
Just seems as though some killers ALWAYS either camp the hook (Wraith) or single out one survivor and get a 1K (Freddy). Freddy isn’t even as bad as people make him out to be, I can easily get a 4K but because some people are super stubborn and want those 6 Remember Me tokens, they single out the obsession and ONLY manage to kill them. Freddy is weak but I manage to always do well with him. A lot of survivors do however exaggerate how you play...one person called me a camper when I played Freddy. How am I gonna camp properly with Freddy? I literally circled the map looking for survivors and came back to the hook and saw David running to the hook.
I have a sore spot for some killers because I never get good games with them such as Wraith, Leatherface, Freddy, and Huntress. Just in my own experience these are the killers that play the worst in terms of being too stubborn to change targets. I come into lobbies with these players at least once every two to three days. Not a lot but still it can be frustrating to be the tunneled survivor. Must be because I’m at Rank 9 at the moment...a lot of boosted killers/survivors in green ranks

Mike needs buffs to have a viable base like they do cause he takes skill and isn't rewarded (he takes skill cause he's a tactical killer). (Billy has a viable base too but everyone can loop him it's easy). Just learn to counter him. You think survivors dont have a chance against him just because YOU don't have a chance against him. Don't come crying for nerfs just because he can defeat you easily. You're obviously not an experienced player.
1.i over exaggerate my titles
2.yes i am a potato
3.i play killer and survivor equally
4.i do gen rush, im a dwight main
5. why are you so hostile
6. sorry for not being a rank 1, P3 meg mainLol I was just mad seeing someone wanting a weaker killer nerfed. It also doesn't help that Mike and Wraith are my favourite killers to play so if someone wants them nerfed I become hostile. ^^ have a good day.
How is Myers a “weaker killer”? He is one of the stronger killers to be honest. Of course not like Nurse and Billy but it is up for debate whether you wanna put Spirit, Myers, Hag, or Huntress after those two in a tier list.
Sorry I mean weaker then the top 4 (who are top tier btw and Huntress isn't near them or Mike imo) Nurse, Hag, Billy and Spirit. In that order. Mike is 5th, Wraith is 6th Doctor is 7th then it's Huntress. Without instahatchets she is the most predictable killer and the easiest to loop. She's only considered top tier because most players are not good at looping her. Both Wraith and Mike have advanced tracking (the stalk ability and the fact Wraith has a built in Stridor) and they have counter to loops. Mike has a weird counter but it works when he's EW2, he can force people away or deal with that loop and instadown them. They also have a very underrated pressure. Both can keep the pressure better then Huntress. Idek why she's still considered top tier she can't do much. Doctor or Huntress is a tough one but I'd give it to Doctor by a bit. And don't get me started on Billy being weaker than Hag ^^.
Hag can be powerful but I just find her to be extremely easy to go against personally. I dunno if it is the 110% movement speed or the fact that I play on PS4 and it is vastly different than on PC. I know Hag is really great (especially after her rework) but based on my own experiences playing against her she’d be about #5 or #6 in my tier list.
Spirit on the other hand I’d put at #3 easily, she’s so great at map pressure despite a 110% movement speed. If the player is good with her mechanics she is devastating.
I maybe exaggerated when I put Huntress in the Top 5 but if the Huntress knows how to use her hatchets then it is a tough challenge. I personally am AWFUL with Huntress so I never play her. Doctor is EXTREMELY overrated.
- Nurse
- Billy
- Spirit
- Myers
- Hag
- Clown
- Huntress
- Wraith
- Pig
- Doctor
- Trapper
- Leatherface
- Freddy
The only really WEAK killers are Leatherface and Freddy. Trapper, Pig, and Doctor are decent killers but they’re all “meh”. I’ve never gotten the hype over the Doctor. He is mediocre at BEST. More of an annoyance than thinking “I’m not gonna survive this round” it’s more like “Uhhhh...a Doctor, seriously? I’m gonna have a migraine after this round.”
Tyde made a video saying how Hag is bad lol. I think he completely forgot how even without an antiheal build, if she keeps going after different people it still takes 32 seconds to heal and that's just the base. If survivors don't mess with her web then she has very good pressure. She's quite strong. Now on PS4 I've seen the killers there, in xbox and in PC and I just gotta admit. PS4 and xbox have the most trashiest killers I've ever seen. One time I faced a Hag who didnt even trap mid chase, got looped for 5 MINUTES by me and he salted me up. So we did KYF I crushed him as Hag in seconds (this was on ps4 when I was playing with a friend) and when he tried to kill me, the other guy who we invited so it's a 2 vs 1 got all the gens done, opened both the doors and helped me out. He blocked me after that. In PC the killers at low ranks 12-20 are dumb as f0ck. But get to 1-12 (when ur not late in the season) and you'll see the good Hags surface. Btw Tyde also said that Leatherface is B tier... I like him as a youtuber and I think his videos are good but Hag being so bad is so wrong. Have a good day.
I also watched Tyde’s tier list video and I do agree with some of his choices. In both of his tier videos he left the Top 3 the same. However Hag is still low in the list...I can agree on some of his points mainly because I’ve NEVER seen a Hag demolish a team. I’ve witnessed God tier Nurse, Billy, Myers, Huntress, and even Wraith but Hag? No. Never. She’s just not that great in my opinion. Hag is not bad, she is viable but in my on experiences she isn’t in my VERY top tier list.
Clown is highly underrated as well. Leatherface is just an all round poor version of Billy who’s ONLY upside is that he is the only killer that can down multiple survivors at once. He is very weak with very little map control. TydeTyme is very great at making accurate points, but I do not agree with every single opinion, namely Leatherface.

EASILY people who play Leatherface and Wraith are the most toxic. Leatherface I can’t really blame because of his very little map pressure but Wraith? Just no. Wraith ALWAYS goes invisible and camps the hook.
Survivor side, it used to be Claudette players but now I will say Quentin and Kate are the most annoying. People who play them just seem the be extremely rude and obnoxious.

Losing the killer in the cornfield, NOED not triggering, double pipping, flashlight saving (because I’m hot garbage at the aim), actually stealthing and the killer not finding you, etc...
-
Myers is one of the most balanced killers in the game. Don’t let him stalk you and you won’t be in that situation. He has a LARGE terror radius in Tier III as well, hide in a locker once you hear the music. He has many counters to him, he needs NO nerf.

Fooled me there, seeing the title I was ready to throw some condescending remarks on how tunneling is a great way to go.
It looks like I don't need to
Btw just yesterday I had this beautiful tunneling game: 4K with Wraith on Azarov's... such a joy. And I got promptly scolded and lectured by a bitter victim, who told me "it's people like you who ruin this game"
I wish people understood how much more fun it is to play as competitively and ruthlessly as possible... I certainly don't blame the killer if I'm tunneled. This game isn’t exactly meant to be played competitively, it’s moreso a party game. The only competitive aspect is your rank which means nothing because you get NOTHING in reward for getting to Rank 1.
Not to mention if you think survivors/killers get butthurt now, just imagine the hurt feeling and salt if the game actually was competitive.
The killer side is fun competitively because it’s so easy ranking up. Survivor side it is also easy to rank up but I rank up A LOT faster as a killer. Some people don’t like competitive though, they just play causally. I’d probably be causal, I hate the survivor tension and headaches when you’re actually trying to survive.

I just wish both perks were gone from the game. I don’t personally have a problem with either of them despite people calling them “crutch perks” but all this crybaby nonsense from both sides about DS and NOED is getting a little bit old.
You don’t need a free insta-down if all the gens were done because YOU didn’t have good gen control and you don’t need a free escape if you were downed because YOU couldn’t lose the killer. Simple as that. Disagree if you want but it is my stance.
Excellent point. I'd throw Adrenaline in there too as it's a bit of a reverse NOED.
Regardless it's a fair and unbiased point of view. I also see that once again my good friends @Wolf74 and @Malakir are triggered by the mere suggestion of nerfing something killer related

lol its hilarious see you and megmain fit together with these bias
Am I right "nerfhag"? Aka the crusader
I'm not triggered, I triggered mean explain the differences and try to make it clear that noed isn't even comparable to DS then yeah I am, cuz you don't use any logic on that. Tbh I'm triggered when stupid people think to be smart when they are not
If you think I accuse anybody to be stupid just because disagree with me, since your Lil minds won't go that far I can give you a list of people i disagree but they at least think before typing. Entità, Tsulan even if sometimes he is exaggerating in his answers, Powerbats, wolf74 even if sometimes he's too killer bias, friendlykillermain.
I don't agree with them most of the time but I can actually have a discussion. With people like you I can't, too stubborn with a giant ego thinking they are always right even when I try to explain why a certain thing isn't like they say. But ykno, little minds would always prefer stay in their little world enjoying echo chambers
All I did was state how DS and NOED give bad players a second chance at either killing or surviving. NOED gets a bad rep simply because if there are 4 survivors left and one gets hit and hooked the killer will more than likely camp to ensure a kill (only thing they really can do) and safety pip. NOED is just as much of a crutch perk as DS is.
It’s my own opinion. I even said that people can disagree if they want, it’s fine with me. I’m just not changing my opinion because you disagreed with me. It’s cool if you disagree and we can have a discussion because that’s what the fourms are for but then you wanna point fingers and say that I have enflated ego because I believe NOED and DS should be removed entirely.
Just because I’m not a “killer main” it automatically gives me a bad rep. If I changed my name to “NurseMain98” I wouldn’t get HALF the crap I do because people assume all survivor mains are entitled. I look for balance in the game. It is asymmetrical of course but it cannot give the power role TOO much power or the game would be unplayable. The game was balanced to have 2 escapes and 2 sacrifices. The killer is not entitled to a 4K anymore than the survivor is entitled to an escape.
Trust me...there are people on the fourms that are way more stubborn than me that have way more ridiculous ideas on game play changes.

I’ll agree on the Adrenaline part although I’m guilty of using it because it’s such a good perk. I love Adrenaline and it has gotten me out of multiple situations. I wouldn’t say it is an OP perk but it is a very powerful end game perk.
I’m not screaming for killer nerfs or survivor nerfs like A LOT of people do. Certain killers need reworks for sure, but competent players don’t need the game to hold their hand throughout the entire round like some people do. Just seeing the back and forth crying for nerfs is getting old and is nothing but a meme at this point.

So you want to put a well balanced perk like Noed in the same level as a frickin broken thing like DS?
Gotcha. Screw balance, screw logic … survivor need to be protected from nasty surprises, because it's a horror game and that could scare them … #########? Well balanced enough for you to want to put it in the killers base kit? Sure...whatever you say. It’s barely a horror game, there is no element of suprise and when you get hit with NOED it isn’t a genuine scare factor. It’s more like “Oh...okay, that just happened for the eighth time tonight.” I said what I said, I meant what I said and you heard what I said. My stance on NOED and DS has not changed and it probably never will. The game isn’t balanced on either side. It is PVP, this will never EVER be a true horror experience simply because it is PVP and you can’t have the killers side be incredibly powerful as if it was an AI. you forgot something. 1 its asymmetrical or should be 2 noed is an hex
the second point invalidates your ds noed comparison. Just imagine hex totems doesn't exist, in that case I would agree Yes it is asymmetrical and the killer SHOULD have the power role but the killer can’t be untouchable. In a PvP game it’ll never be a true horror game. If they added a single player game mode then maybe it would but I doubt that will happen. I don’t really consider DBD to be a horror game to begin with. I put in it the same boat that I do F13, but extremely great party games to play with friends but when you play it alone you get drained out quickly especially if you take the game too seriously. Some perks would be way overpowered without it being a hex unless you had competent teammates. Ruin and Devor Hope come to mind easily. Matches would end with five generators left and a four man mori. It’s just getting old that people are still arguing over DS and NOED. Just saying if they were both gone there would be no complaining. Although killers can’t do without their precious little insta-downs. I would say the same with survivors not being able to do without their free escapes but I don’t see many people stick up for DS nor do I run into it a lot as killer but 80% of the time killers have NOED. It gives bad killers a kill because when there is four survivors left and you insta-down one of them, why would you go and chase the other three? There isn’t any point, you won’t get a four man. The killer killed that ONE person due to an insta-down and that is how MOST of the time NOED works. DS gives bad survivors a free escape. Both perks makes up for the players mistakes. still people can't understand noed works by survivor mistakes to no cleanse totems. I've lost count of matches where noed didn't worked when practicing nurse. DS just rewards a mistake and cannot be preventing kicking an objective I always do around 2-3 totems per march and if my mates do the same(lately more often) noed don't even proc. "It gives a bad killers kills" maybe you should phase it like, punish lazy survivors who just wanna genrush when totems grants bp and boldness. Like, it even gives you points and you still cry about noed when its you fault you won't adapt I know its a weird word but seriously, adapt. Noed is more frequent? Instead of ignoring totems just cleanse if you see some. Noed is the last perk I have a problems with as survivor and it actually bothers me that people like you cry about it, you know why? Because you guys are the kind of people who won't cleans them when you are in my team, then cry about it. This sentence really nothers me for these reasons: "Both perks makes up for the players mistakes"
Which is a lie to have an excuse to don't adapt and press one button to 1) prevent a perk 2) free bp 3) free bold points
I DO cleanse totems so don’t assume because it only makes you look worse. You know what they say about people who assume everything...
I cleanse any totem I see, it depends on your teammates as well because you may not find every single totem on the map by yourself.
Generators are the ONLY priority survivors NEED to do to win the match. So trying to escape is somehow lazy now?
My stance hasn’t changed and I said what I said and meant exactly what I said. DS and NOED rewards bad gameplay. If you allow all the generators to get done then why should you get an insta-down?
I’m not telling you to adapt to DS because it is rewarding bad gameplay. Don’t tell me to adapt to NOED when it also rewards bad gameplay on the killers part. I can easily adapt to any perk or add-on if need be but some are just plain out annoying.
no I don't know, tell me. Since assuming is something that every human does all the time about anything. I'm prepared to be right or wrong but its obvious I do since I don't know you, I don't care and I can just have little info based on what you say. Also your nickname doesn't help
yes the gens are the priority but totems as I described, are secondary obj and skip that is being lazy. If you don't agree I won't even care for how stubborn your answer was.
I'm done since I can't have a discussion with someone who won't so stick to your idea.
You know what they say about people who never change their mind right? :^)
Why would I change my stance on NOED when it is the killers JOB to keep gens on lock and not allow the exit gates to be powered and when the survivors actually do their objective by fixing gens they get punished for it? DS punishes the killer for doing his job by downing a survivor and NOED punishes survivors for doing their job by fixing gens. People are also saying that NOED should be in the killers BASE KIT. That is just ridiculous. People just want easy matches. If you can’t handle Rank 1 then derank to a lower rank.
Totems are not a priority for escaping, point blank period. Sure it is a wise decision to cleanse them but you don’t need to cleanse them to win the match.
I still believe that DS and NOED should both be removed entirely.
My profile name doesn’t mean anything. So what f I’m a Meg main? I “assume” you are a Feng main by your profile picture...but what did I say about assuming? 🤷🏼♂️

It’s never too late. I started in March 2018 after watching countless amounts of videos. When I started playing I NEVER thought I would get better and made the stupidest mistakes. You’ll get better with time, but it isn’t too late to start playing. The game is thriving.

I don’t personally have a problem with either of them despite people calling them “crutch perks” but all this crybaby nonsense from both sides about DS and NOED is getting a little bit old.

Gotcha.
Screw balance, screw logic … survivor need to be protected from nasty surprises, because it's a horror game and that could scare them … #########?Well balanced enough for you to want to put it in the killers base kit? Sure...whatever you say.
It’s barely a horror game, there is no element of suprise and when you get hit with NOED it isn’t a genuine scare factor. It’s more like “Oh...okay, that just happened for the eighth time tonight.”
I said what I said, I meant what I said and you heard what I said. My stance on NOED and DS has not changed and it probably never will.
The game isn’t balanced on either side. It is PVP, this will never EVER be a true horror experience simply because it is PVP and you can’t have the killers side be incredibly powerful as if it was an AI.

You don’t need a free insta-down if all the gens were done because YOU didn’t have good gen control and you don’t need a free escape if you were downed because YOU couldn’t lose the killer. Simple as that. Disagree if you want but it is my stance.

Guys...Decisive will never be removed no matter how much you complain for one simple reason. It directly ties into the “Adept Laurie” achievement. Yes it is broken but it won’t be removed for that reason plain and simple unless they gave Laurie a new teachable which I HIGHLY doubt they’ll do.DS and NOED both should be removed entirely but it’ll never happen.
Why should they be removed? You know what it is by now, the Killer see's that the Obsession is the Decisive person. Killer juggles survivor to hook. If the Killer see's that the hook is to far away for them to juggle, then they leave them on the ground.
I don't see anything really broken about that honestly. At rank 1 and or the highest meta Survivors that run DS are most likely to bleed out or get slugged in general so Nurses Calling is really good for DS players.
I don’t PERSONALLY have a problem with Decisive Strike because I rarely run into it. I honestly don’t see many people that have DS nowadays. I run two obsession perks on my two main killers (Myers and Spirit) and that is Save The Best For Last and Rancor, a lot of times I’ll pick up the obsession and realize they don’t even HAVE DS. Being the obsession does not 100% mean you have DS.
It’s been going on for two years that people have been complaining about DS and it’s annoying and a meme at this point. The reason I’d want them to remove DS and NOED is for people to stop whining and complaining all the time about it.

Gives the killer extra points. Sometimes I’ll do it on my way out if I see he is still chasing me unless it is a Myers because with my luck I’ll get Tombstoned.

If I've been tunneled for 5 games in a row and killed,
D Strike,
Object of Obsession,
Dead hard,
And Adrenaline.
Oh instaheal too.
Plan is if I get unfair games then I'll make it worse on the person I face next. I haven't used this build in half a year tho and last time I used this was on xbox. I also hard loop so combining T and L walls with a normal pallet loop to loop like mad. It's an efficient gamestyle and I also die in a corner of the map I never lose with this build. Also I pick a map offering for Coldwind. My normal build is,
Balanced Landing (dont have lithe yet and balanced is strongest exhaustion perk rn since it opens up a lot of loops.)
Self care,
Botany knowledge
And Iron will.
Plan is to loop but not too hard unless I dont like the killer. Try to be stealthy but if I get caught run them for as long as I can without being unfair with OP looping. Unless It's Spirit or Trapper I do well. I bring a yellow medkit with that addon that adds 8 charges and increases healing speed and another addon that increases speed with no downside.I really wanna get good at using Object of Obsession but I’m pretty bad at it. It’s a decent perk but I like Alert a lot better since it’s buff and it gives away the killer position without them knowing your location.

My main loadout is Sprint Burst, Self Care, Adrenaline, and Alert.
Although any exhaustion perk is worth a slot besides Dead Hard because I always forget I have it and panic and use it at the wrong time. I just like Sprint Burst because lets say it is a killer with an insta-down such as Leatherface or Tier III Myers, you can quickly get ahead of them and gain some distance. I just like how much distance you can gain on a killer. Although I’ve been saved by Balanced Landing and Lithe on a fair share of occasions.

Because DBD is a weird game. Certain killers can't really do anything in a chase. You have to trick the survivors into making the wrong plays. While they're behind a pallet they're completely safe.If someone is new they won't be able to mindgame well, and it doesn't feel natural that you just can not catch someone. So people keep trying.
That is true especially because the person was playing Spirit and she has a high skill cap. Although I will say that you are not ALWAYS safe behind a pallet. Some killers lunge through pallets and 50% of the time you’ll go down. Not to mention that Huntress and Nurse cut off loops to pallets.
I’ve come over from F13 where the killer is EVEN weaker than on DBD, you would not believe the salt from that game. It is about 2X as worse than it is on DBD.

The main ones I see are Claudette, Meg, and Nea (also the three I play the most).
I see Laurie, Quentin, and Tapp the least.
Everybody else I see here and there.

Some killers just don't like specific players or they aren't very good. I've chased a specific bald Dwight just because I hated his look and flashlight :-)I dunno I was playing Claudette and I was running her around pretty decently. I got downed with two gens left. Farmer David came and farmed me but I managed to slip away for another chase to happened when all the gens popped and I died on my second hook. Meh...it happens, just no point in getting angry with the survivor you targeted for being good at running you around.
If I target any survivor in particular it is a P3 Quentin or Kate. They seem to be the most toxic of all.
-
Spirit? That ooga booga girl is one of the EASIEST killers to counter. Using Urban Evasion and Iron Will will easily throw her off guard when phase walking since she can’t hear you or see your scratch marks. In my own experience Spirit and Nurse are the two killers that I have the easiest time with. I only say Nurse because of the times I play on PS4.
-
Claudette and Meg are easily the two best with only their three unique perks. Empathy and Self Care are top tier, Botany is good but meh...not one of my favorites.
Meg has three really great perks with Sprint Burst and Adrenaline being two very good meta perks. Quick and Quiet has been a life saver to me in certain situations.

@Tsulan said: You really have to show me those horror movies that you are watching. Where the killer is fine with just scaring the kids and not really trying to kill everyone. Do you play betafield or call of beauty? Where you ask the other team to not use grenades, rockets, tanks, etc. Since that would be tryharding. You obviously are confusing playing to win with try harding. Playing to win is just that, you play your best to win but you accept defeat if/when it happens. Try harding is when you play to not lose, to the point that you just kind of delay the inevitable to avoid the blow to your ego. There is a difference. The former type of player will say GG regardless of the outcome. The latter type of player will rage quit and complain about the game when things don't go their way. I was also a game tournament organizer for many years across many games. I've seen some absolute SWEATY TRY HARD players, but in that context it's acceptable because money is on the line. Playing online though there is no such physical reward, yet some people treat the game like there is. Like the one guy that did a hatch standoff for 4 hours. Really what is the point of that? It's just stupid. Absolute waste of time and unnecessary.
See, there at your own example? You said that one guy did a hatch standoff for 4 hours. But that's simply wrong. 2 guys did that standoff. Both wasted their time, because both refused to give the other one the win. But in your book it's only the killer who's tryharding. It's because at the moment the standoff starts the killer is GUARANTEED to pip, where the survivor is not guaranteed to pip unless they escape. Now yes, after a certain point it's on both players, but the majority of fault lies with the killer since they could just have hit them at the very start to end the stalemate and still pip. Context matters. Nope, the killer isn't guaranteed to pip. Because hatch standoff can happen when the other 3 survivors escaped. Also, I usually pip as survivor, once I did a gen, unhooked someone and healed him/her.
The standoff requires 2 people and both have the same fault.
That's.... not the situation I'm talking about though. I'm talking about games where killer killed the other 3 and gens are still left to be done. Go ahead, show me a clip of a killer not pipping because they let someone hatch when the other 3 are dead and exit gates aren't powered.
Again, context matters.
I could show you a screenshot where I did a 4k with Myers and only black piped.
Using a Tombstone to mori all four survivors is not a way to prove to someone that you black pipped with a 4K. It’s well known that using a mori on all 4 survivors will not gain you a pip. Getting a 4K by sacrifice will GUARANTEE a pip and a 3K SHOULD be a pip.
Not saying that a 4K mori shouldn’t gain you a pip, but it doesn’t. You can’t use that as prove.

Spirit is toptierI still havent seen a single spirit demolishing a competent SWF.
If you know any, please provide the footage such that spirit plebs like me can learn.Who demolishes SWF besides nurse? Top tier doesn't mean you demolish SWF
Noone, thats exactly my point. nurse is and most likely will be the only top tier killer.
If you cant deal with a competent SWF as spirit, then she clearly isnt top tier

You're not following my point. Top tier does not mean you demolish SWF
Right now nurse is the only killer that can deal with a competent SWF (Feel free to disprove that), that makes her top tier.
Any other killer that doesnt manage to do the same is clearly not on the same tier as nurse, do we need to discuss that?

You are misunderstanding what I am saying AGAIN. Stop and read what I am typing slowly. I am telling you yes nurse IS the only killer that can deal with SWF, I never said anything otherwise. Top tier =/= being able to handle SWF, that is not what top tier means.
What does top tier mean in your opinion?
or is nurse hyper tier?
(usually top tier is the highest one^^)Nurse is overpowered, thats why she can deal with swf and no one else. Nurse, Billy, Hag, Spirit and Huntress are all toptier, since they deal different with chase and time management and can generally win most games at rank 1.
This is what I'm saying ^^^
Nurse is in a whole other league.
So either we accept that we are balancing the game around "broken power lvls" or we reduce the power overall.
This means either remove SWF and nerf nurse or keep SWF and lift other killers up to nurse.
Two issues with that. First one is that SWF will never be removed because it is a huge selling point in the game. The game will quite literally be dead if SWF is removed, no point in removing it...it would be a dumb decision.
Second is that it’s not possible to have every killer on Nurse’s level. She IGNORES the game mechanics which is why she is broken. She can blink to a second floor, ignore vaults and pallets, and has a very high movement speed while blinking even faster than a Billy chainsaw sprint. You’ll never see Freddy, Wraith, and Trapper on that level simply because their power only goes but so far. Even the higher tier killers (Myers, Huntress, Hag) won’t be lifted to Nurse’s level because she ignores the game mechanics

Spirit is top tier if you play her correctly. She is like a slightly weaker Nurse. She can have insane map pressure and one of only three killers (Nurse and Billy) in the game whos ability let’s them traverse across the map quickly. She can be sneaky with her lower terror radius especially if you have the “Prayer Beads” add-ons. You can’t pick her up for the first time and expect a 4K. She takes time get used to, she is a mind gaming killer. I do mainly play Spirit, it used to be Myers but I honestly like Spirit the best. She is highly underrated if anything. I’d put her in the Top 5 killers in the game easily.Provide footage where she deals with a competent SWF. (might even use her best addons cus she is addon reliant lul)
So far noone was able to show that and I have never experienced it myself
Watch Monto’s Spirit videos, it’s more than enough to prove to you that she is powerful enough to handle SWF groups. However he normally gets a 4K regardless of the killer.
If you are a mediocre killer the ONLY two killers that are powerful enough to handle a competent SWF group is Nurse and Billy, and Nurse has a high skill cap. If you aren’t good with her then you’ll get no kills. It is more on YOUR skill as a killer. Personally I am best with Spirit, Myers, and Freddy. Some people might not like them but it works best for me. Doesn’t matter to me whether they are a “top tier” killer or not but whether they work for my playstyle. Nurse may be the best killer but I’m garbage with her, I play a much better Spirit.
Someone already tried that, that was especially funny because he actually put up a video where he explained why spirit is unviable at high rank (at least when she was introduced)
If he has become better now and recks competent SWF with his spirit now, feel free to post a link.
Everybody though she wasn’t viable at Rank 1 at first because her power isn’t something you are gonna learn overnight. In his videos when he used the “Prayer Beads add-on” he called her the best killer in the game. Which I’m not really sure about that. I put Spirit at #3 on my tier list after Nurse and Billy. She is at the top but she isn’t THE best.

The only thing that ruins the fun for me are killers that are so desperate for kills they got full sweaty tryhard pants mode on survivors that are obviously not going to escape. I'm talking about killers that will slug the third guy until they bleed out, with only 2 gens done, so they can 4k when they are still definitely going to 2 pip. Like, does it hurt your ego THAT MUCH to let 1 guy escape? I give hatch away often and still double pip. Sure I'll slug the third guy for a bit to find the last guy, but if it's been a minute and no sign of him coming to save I'll just take the kill, let him hatch, and move on. Too many killers want to drag out the game because they have such low self esteem they can never let anyone escape, even if it means sitting at the hatch for an hour. It's not fun when a killer wastes time like that. The worst are 3 gen Doc's, they will hold the game for 30 minutes at 3 gens rather than commit to a chase and let the game come to an end so we can all get our pips (yes all of us, killer included kills or not at this point doesn't matter), BP, and just move on.And before anyone says "well just let the killer kill you"... No. If it's a 2 gen hatch game, the killer already pipped and thus already WON the game. If I die I likely won't pip, if I escape I do. Killer is dragging out the game for almost no reason whereas I'm trying to secure a win the only way I realistically can. Trust me if it's a game where I know I pipped regardless I do sometimes let the killer just kill me, but that is rarely the case in such games.
If three people load into my game I won’t really try honestly. What’s the point? It’s like bullying babies at that point. I’ll hook them all but I’m not gonna camp and slug and be a sweaty try hard.
People will use the counter argument “BuT tHe KiLlErS aRe SuPpOsEd To KiLl” yet when survivors try to get the killers attention away from their teammates or use their “try-hard” perks and flashlight save their teammates or simply drop a pallet they are being toxic. Are survivors not supposed to try to survive? When people do their part whether it be surviving or killing they are considered to be a toxic player.
When three people load in and they go full sweaty try hard it’s an ego thing or either they just want the game to end quickly. If two people join into my game I’ll just D/C. There is no point. Not like I really care about my killer rank.
-
The killers that I don’t wanna pull my hair out against is Myers, Nurse, and Hag. Myers is easily my favorite due to the jumpscare potential and chase music.
I would say Spirit as well but her noises kills it.

"They just need to run in a straight line and you can never catch them."It's the easiest way the spirit can catch survivors actually. I even surprise when see that survivors don't fake their movements and just run in a straight line, so they make it so much easier to me.
If you start walking or crouching when you KNOW The Spirit is about to phase walk it’ll throw her off guard easily.
The only way she’ll catch you is if she is SUPER good at listening to your injured cries (which can be countered by Iron Will) or if she has the add-on that makes it so she can see your blood while phase walking and this is all only if you are injured. Spirit can easily out mind game herself, I’ve done it countless times as Spirit.
Running in a straight line while she is phase walking will be about as effective as running in a straight line while Billy is chainsawing or while The Huntress is winding up a hatchet.
