So now people who dont take Exhaustion perks have to suffer just because Exhaustion exists to limit the massive strength Exhaustion perks provide?
no.
I better receive some benefit then whenever I'm not exhausted to compensate for the random nerf to existing without an Exhaustion perk.
-
Making more interesting powers is far more fun than just "i walk fast."
Power budget has to be spent somewhere, you dont want it to go into having a fun, interesting, engaging power?
-
A chained survivor cannot Dead Hard, but a survivor can also Dead Hard a chain.
A survivor can attempt to Sprint Burst or Lithe, but catching them prevents them from running away.
Terrain of any height can break a chain if the chain spawned poorly, and you still break your own chains for some reason.
The power is a fever dream, but a dream nonetheless.
-
Everyone is saying "but its less than a second" as if there is no difference between a fast vault and a slow vault which is "less than a second"
-
Ive had this happen, but with a Sadako instead of Spirit.
-
Disarming Trapper traps should be like Yellow Glyphs
If you mess up one skill check, the killer is alerted, if you mess up a second skill check you are injured, if you mess up a third time you are caught in the trap.

The gen outside Strode house is the devil.

I appreciate lore, but in its current format, it's hard to get into DBD lore while also wanting to get into matches.
BHVR should allow you to listen to lore entries while queueing up, occupies time and potential silence, while also giving insight into the game's story!
-
They did rework mori's!
It's called playing Sadako.
No really, though. There's a lot not fulfilled from last year's anniversary.
-
I dont have a problem with his gameplay loop, only personally as a stealth-enjoyer, I hate having a glowing, floating trail of orbs giving me away.
Oni with his power active is very intense in a good way, and managing to expend his power and maybe even potentially survive it is maybe one of the most thrilling things that can happen in this game!

if you are the last survivor on the hook, you aren't being 'face camped'...you're the last survivor.
He did not do anything to you to make your experience worse. You are going to die. You are the last survivor on the hook, the match will end momentarily.
The killer was strong enough to apologize AND admit their frustration. You on the other hand are still upset to the point where you made a forum post about how your 10 second hook period in which a killer was venting on a fictional characters soon to be sacrificed body. That is entirely on you.
You weren't left to bleed out, the killer didn't continuously let you go and down you until Endgame skewered you. You werent bodyblocked in a corner until an extensive amount of time passed. These aren't the times where you can animation cancel mori's. You were just sacrificed...point blank.
Perhaps you need to play more killer and understand that in no period of the match is the killer granted relief, there is no stress free gen period, stress free locker period, stress free totem period, etc. etc. The end of the match is the only time in which a killer can de-compress. If that happens to be on you when you're on the hook and going to die anyways, so be it!

Idk in what world you live in that ruin stays up for more than a minute but I want to live there.

I think the rule is really as broad as:
As long as would not be able to see the survivor enter the hatch from below (ie, falling through the ceiling because of the animation) the hatch can spawn there.
would make sense as in Midwich Elementary School, the hatch can spawn in the middle section of the staircase

To the people who are commenting about basement camping... scourge hooks revolve around hooking, and if the killer is camping, they're going to get less total hooks than if they were out running and hooking survivor normally.
It's a non-issue. Dont die by the basement and there will be no basement hooks to worry about.

Steelseries for me, they've been some of the best headphones that I've had...and they have various price points in their range as well. I remember a thread by Mad Cat some time ago and I think they were going to purchase the Arctic 7's which come really highly recommended.
I also purchased Steelseries, definitely my favorite by far.
I have the Arctis Wireless myself.
For OP's sake, there is a wired version of the Arctis with higher fidelity audio, but I have no complaints with the Arctis Wireless myself, sounds fantastic for me.

Survivors shouldnt be able to bodyblock another survivor for more than 10 seconds, im talking specifically about a survivor locked in a corner and unable to do anything about it.
Killers should have a longer grace period, with the mechanic disabled during Endgame. If you get caught during Endgame in a corner, no one's gonna let you go, so why should weak killers be denied a kill just because their collision gets reduced?

Am I really the only one who actually likes it? I always thought it was awesome.
I can hear it for what it wants to be, but the whirring noise overpowers the epic string instruments

that ain't Jonah, that's Bronah

It does not affect me, but it certainly is the worse out of him and Legion. Legion is not noticeably repetitive or has screeching/wailing sounds that are irritating.
Whatever they perceive to be the despair of being chased by Ghostface does not get translated properly
-
Who is fully charging their shred, do you want them to know what you're doing so they dodge it?
That daily is garbage.
-
And I will not apologize

Thank you for being a positive thread amidst the filth being spewed on this day.

Mindbreaker+Blood Echo,If you're afraid of Exhaustion perks. If they dont cleanse there's nothing they can do against it. If they do cleanse...then they're cleansing and you can use your power more often.

Pinhead and Doctor
Are you sure you can pick up that box safely? ARE YOU SURE?!

Damn, I feel like the Wednesday part shouldve been the first setence of the blog post.
I totally skimmed the last bit and got my own hopes up today. My fault for not reading thoroughly, but patches not being on Tuesday is not to be expected.

In order to Dead Hard you need to be running, as long as a survivor is chained, they are considered walking.
Use this information as you will.
-
80% of cases, the survivor team does this to themselves
Running around the map
Then pulling off the hook when the killer didn't get a chance to leave
Being over-altruistic instead of completing the only objective that allows you to escape
It's a vicious cycle.

I guess some.
First idea is Pinhead with stronger chains and the cube to need more time to solve.
I was thinking the exact same thing. If Pinheads Possessed chain was more threatening he would be easily A tier.
-
When I play killer there's a little more than a 50% chance that I will receive a hateful or spiteful message.
Its always so over the top too, I get it, losing can suck...but dont tell me to end my life over it...or call me a slur.
-
Thunderstorms would be my cut, imagine playing against Michael on a map during a thunderstorm.
-
All I know is I'm going to have a lot of fun playing Evil Dead with some of my close friends who are massive Evil Dead fans. I'm not too knowledgeable on the franchise, but I'll play whatever keeps my friends happy.
One just likes Assym, the second only plays DBD because we're friends, the third just likes being toxic.
I do enjoy dbd, but DBD is enjoyable far more with friends and if my friends jump ship, so do I.
Plus being the Kandarian Demon that plays deviously and isnt a chewtoy upon starting the game is a plus.
We do like not feeling like a chewtoy unless we play a select few killers.

I admit my main question throughout is "Did Overheat even actually affect anything?" Even "feathering" is still possible, if not as easy to do often, isn't it?
No, it really doesnt affect anything.
That is unless you liked camping, running circles around the map to find the first survivor with no downside, and holding the chainsaw at short loops.
-
Yes, I remember that. Every game it was Billy brainlessly circling the map until a survivor was caught.
Hence, the current heat mechanic.

Giving the killer an option to concede defeat is nice (in case they need to leave, have cheaters in their game, or genuinely give up after 15 minutes), but a really poor way to end these predicaments. It shouldn’t come to that.
Survivors need to get idle crows if they don’t work on gens for 25+ consecutive seconds after three minutes. As it is right now, survivors can avoid idle crows by the smallest amount of meandering around. It can make them unfindable on certain maps and/or with certain killers. It’s a joke.
So both idle crow improvements and a give up option for killers are needed changes in this game.
25 seconds of consecutive gen time is a bit much, when the killer is aggressively defending a 3 gen, its no more the survivors fault as it is the killer for not committing and advancing the game state. Of course for the ones that truly dont want to do gens, the one who progresses the least should most certainly be revealed by crows. There's just certain situations in which the killer can force you off a gen quickly, but wont do anything beyond that.
Ive had to spend exorbitant amount of time trying to win 3-gens (because for some reason randoms who arent gen jockeys dont understand that doing all the gens on one side is the most foolish idea ever)
Let me state that if its just me and one other survivor, half the time i just end my life if it means i can get to another game with more BP to offer. This of course if the other survivor actually isnt trying, which is usually the case. If i dont want the other survivor to die for me, I also do that. But then the killer can slug and now its just an additional 4 minute timer in which the survivor is hiding. Its a lose-lose situation honestly.
-
Ranks werent good, over time the Rank 1's were overinflated and you'd have the same people who suck in current MMR as you would in Ranks.
Survivors are the true killers and old red ranks was exactly that.
-
Pinhead chains should not be able to be avoided by Dead Hard. Nor should traps or any other utility power.
-
Let me walk you through this.
You did not kill a single survivor all the way up to EGC
You had no other survivors injured
You are not a killer that players fear bodyblocking with
You chose not to use any perks that would dissuade survivors or put you at an advantage if survivors were to bodyblock.
You did not check to see if survivor were nearby before you picked up the survivor
5 specific scenarios were checked off to be the reason as to why you, not the game mechanics, are the reason you could not successfully get a hook. Game mechanics aren't made to help multiple levels of poor choices, but in situations where there is no possible solution against the other side.
You will learn from that moment and know how to better handle that situation in the future, trust me.

People are playing against Trickster?

*killer does anything*
omg x is playing so sweaty, its sad.
*killer does anything...poorly*
LMAO BABY KILLER

Being on topic, I do enjoy the fact that I have multiple gen control tools at my disposal that could work on any killer.
Sometimes i want Corrupt
Maybe I'm feeling Surge
I could use Dead Man's Switch sometimes
There's always something available for anyone and it works for them, which is good.
This could not be said for survivors in the slightest.
-
what strange replies...
Its not hard to understand that a killer with a readily available One-Shot tool is something that should be feared, especially in certain circumstances.
Give every killer the Trail of Torment Lens. If Bubba were to be able to walk up to you at any moment, you would be worried. Other killers less so as they have nothing to quickly dispatch you with.
-
Why does this ruin argument keep popping up? Please make it stop

There is nothing scarier than turning a corner only to get pallet stunned by a survivor you had no idea was there.
truly this. You're just casually traversing a map, and a survivor that believes you know where they are throw the pallet they are concealed behind and your world is rocked for a few fleeting moments.

pls no...the game already has many perfomance issues🤦♀️. cant imagine the perfomance on UE5😐️
its supposed to be more efficient, as there are more tools at BHVR's disposal to optimize the experience...
That being said I have no faith that this transition would go smoothly at all whatsoever so it would be horrible for months.

No one is "complaining" about spine chill.
It is an objective truth that stealth killers are weaker than most of the killer roster and one singular perk can ruin the entire premise of their gameplay; be scary and sneak up.
I'd also like for someone to explain to me how Ghostface and Myers can "avoid" spine chill when their power revolves around staring at survivors.
Please enlighten me as to why certain killers need to be butchered because of one perk and that asking that stealth killers that are Undetectable be actually undetectable is too much to ask for in a game where advanced knowledge and communication can completely turn a game around?
-
It doesnt even block aura reading, so it had no justification for a nerf. This is isnt Distortion/Shadow Step level stealth. What even happened there. Stealth will never surpass Speed/Chase Extension.
-
Does he have mobility? no. Immediately not a high tier killer.
Does he have a readily available one-shot ability? No.
Does he have a ranged tool? No.
Does he have innate slowdown on his kit? No.
Does he have counterplay baked into his kit? Yes.
Does his ability get neutered via comms? Yes.
He is low tier.

im glad the perks exist then and are available. i likely wouldnt have used him as i get very easily lost and disoriented so i avoid teleporting abilities as i easily lose survivors im chasing normally, quickly changing locations likely would be very hard for me.
yes i suck like that
well you aren't teleporting in a chase, unless you're trying to cut a person off from the Exit Gate or some other vital location like the hook. It's almost exclusively used to keep tabs on gens and get between them as fast as possible.
Demo's a cool being, it's sad he was torn from the masses
