Game is supposed to be 4v1 and it shouldn't even be a match if it is 3v1 or even less survivors.Hell no and I waste all addons/offerings?
That should be changed as well, of course. Someone dc's during loading screen = the match doesn't start and everybody keeps their offerings etc.
Ah so that can be easily abused by SWF

More items can make the game more fun, diverse and various.Flashlight and key are luck? Are we playing the same game?

But, if you found the hatch, the killer is camping, and there are 3 gens, the match can be tooo long.
This is my mind, maybe I'm wrong.Yes it takes some time.
The killer can do nothing though, he has no gens or stuff he can do to keep you from taking the hatch, the only thing he can do is sitting at the hatch and waiting for you to go away.Yes its a horrible design

Dead by Daylight has the worst events I've ever seen, and consistently. When I'm looking at what game to play for the day I remember that dbd has the event going and I'm like, no thanks.
Why do they make them so frustrating?
Its not the events fault. Its the games unbalance.
During events, people actually try to do stuff and the game isnt designed for that. It is designed for casual plebs sitting on a coach, not trying to actively win the game -
Leatherface ultra rare:
Press M3 and teleport a survivor onto a basement hookJust a thought :sarcastic:

Would it make any real difference if the traps activated the moment they were put on?I know that Rules 2 would need to be changed to something else if it did but would anything really change? It would make sure that every time you put on a trap that they are in danger, instead of it being a thing they get rid of before it's actually a threat.A lot of times the trap acitvates just 1 or 2 boxes from the Survivors taking it off so most of the tikme it's not a threat since Survivors try not to do Gens until their buddy gets it off. You can say that's good for Killers since it slows things down but it's not good for Piig in particular, for her it makes her traps a toy and not something for Survivors to worry about. So my question is, would it make any negative difference if the traps just activated when they were put on instead of relying on the Gens?.
I dont think that this will make much of a difference tbh

Yeah, but on the other side we have this....

Somehow for the event the hitboxes are even worse. I will be over a window, running, and still get hit from the other side.
Sometimes the killer will be looking a different direction completely and still hit you. Really makes playing survivor a chore instead of fun. Hitboxes need too be fixed.Play killer, you will get really frustrated with the new pallet system and when you get autoaimed into stuff

You can't fix it. Some of it is whiney players who don't want to get caught. Some of it is pure toxic intent. Lots of it is absolute frustration with toxic play or facing the same killers that were toxic repeatedly. Some of it is exasperation with SWF play.Until BHVR cleans up the toxic gameplay in general, they will never stop DC's.
Of course it can be fixed.
Just give increasing queue time penalties, the more you DC.
It works in every other game, why shouldnt it work in DBD? -

Master said:Using voice comms is not bannable, otherwise SWF would be in some serious trouble.
This is the most troll answer I have ever seen from you @Master. Regardless if the method is voice communication, via private message, and etc. it's bannable to work with the killer, period.
How are you supposed to prove this though? There must be really noticeable ingame actions for a bann . Cause simply telling the killer your location via comms is not enough
Some things are obvious such as a Dwight with bond leading the killer around, that's working with the killer. If the killer specifically targets you especially when there are other survivors to be targeted, that's a sign (unless you did something to make the killer mad). Usually when a survivor is working with the killer, the survivor buddy will almost always see the light of day while others don't.
If in a doubt, report it. Just make sure you add a explanation saying that, "Working with the killer: I think they are working with [Insert steam profile here]." It's better to be safe than sorry later and besides, what you don't see is what the ACMs see so they might catch some suspicious activity.
Well that would be an obvious, case, but thats not the situation the OP has described.
When a killer specifically targets a certain survivor even though there are others in sight, then this is tunneling which is not bannable as the devs told us.Of course you can use that tactic and report anything "suspicious". In that case I seriously hope that the BHVR support has some proper filters for the reports.....

Pc player here, killer green rank instant lobbies. Literally 1-5 seconds.
As survivor (almost green) it takes a few minutes usually, but never more than 5.Apparently the PS4 community really lacks killer and I can personally understand that with all the ######### killers have to deal with in the game anyway. If I would have to deal with low performance and controller aim on top of that, I wouldnt bother with killer either.

No, its just braindead runing in circles which is the reason why nurse is so strong

Survivor queues have been broken before the event already.
I assume the recent nerfs to killer have been too much.Personally I really hate the new pallet stuff..... feels realy awkward to play killer

So apparently I have been reported for holding the game hostage and not using the hatch. The killer stood watching the hatch so I wondered off and did generators till they were just done. They had NOED and a red mori so soon as I let off a gen they would fly at me. I then ran in a row and finished them all in one touch so killer had less chance catch me and help me escape. This took nearly 15 minutes due to me being overly cautions and not wanting to be strangled by an angry nurse! I managed to get a door due to them really liking the hatch and making sure it is OK. This took almost 10 more minutes though, again due to being really careful. Game may have been 30-40 minutes, most of it happening after the 3rd survivor dies.
I then receive a lot of messages claiming that I am a "toxic time wasting C-bomb" and I have been reported for holding the game hostage! There were more messages but they are mostly just the killer arguing the case using insults as punctuation. They have apparently recorded the game and sent it as evidence.
I am not saying that I should have been given the hatch but I do not believe I should have given myself to the nurse. Surley the fact that I got away even though this took so long would not count as me greifing? All the killer had to do was warp to generators and they probably would have caught me or at least stopped my progress as the nurse could get back to hatch faster than me!
If I am banned for this then I believe something is wrong.
As long as you do gens, its not holding the game hostage.

yes I'm sensative, not going to change. So 5th goes down right before I hook someone, far from the exit.
What is the correct play?
1.Chase surv that are more than likely to open gate and save surf on hook?
2.Patrol hook?
3. Sit in corner and cry?I really don't care much for rank, but as always I like do well. I do love those blood points.
I really hate being called names end game chat. when I'm just trying make the game as fun and challenging for me and survivors. I also want to make the game challenging and not an easy win for the survivors either.
I play hard, I generally don't patrol hook (this situation excluded) I do my best to hook all the survivors (unless someone is clearly going to completely waist my time, or someone keeps being an obvious target).

- Camping
- afk deranking
Neither of this options is allowed by survivors, you are supposed to try catching them, but dont actually kill them.

Well if those guys wanted to farm coins, then they would be playing survivors.
Not really. I've made much more coins as a killer. The survivors are so toxic it is nearly impossible to get away, and your lucky to get 8 coins. Once 2 gens are done, it is a contest to outlast each other for the hatch. I lose because I keep trying to do gens...you know the objective. I've been playing Trapper and getting more than 20 points a match easy.
Are you playing at rank 20 where the survivors still havent understood the concept of genrushing?
Ah you only got 20 points, as survivor I get easily twice the amount while eating

I camped my way all the way to rank one on the old system with Michael.Hit. Stalk with bloodhound to 99%. Never lose first person. Hook. Camp. NOED ready. 2 kills guaranteed every time. And if they were altruistic. Bloodbath.
why though? sure it gets you to rank 1, but you get very few BP and it's pretty boring for everyone, even the killer. Also doesn't your very comment prove that the entire concept doesn't work. Kills shouldn't be 'guaranteed', they should be worked for, and no offence but where's the skill in what you say you do
Why not? Fun is subjective, sth that you consider boring might be enjoyable for another person.
If you employ a camping strat, then you dont need those expensive addons anyway that you usually need, so who cares if you get a lil less BP.And even if you camp, you still have to work and chase down the survivor in the first place.

I feel like people are exaggerating the situation for killers rn. Yes the event is technically survivor sided but I'd say on average a competent killer earns a lot more than a typical solo survivor. If you're talking about survivors earning more by queueing up in 4 man deathsquads then that's a different story. Solos or even two man swfs have to suffer from terrible teammates and the current event objective.Do the math yourself, there is no way a killer can earn more than a survivor. Even if he manages to 4k, he still is far away from the max points usually

Whats frustrating is when you finally get a lobby with good ping the killer dodges. It seems the only people that dont lobby dodge are those with red ping. Whats up with that?
Sometimes the killer is just afk in lobby, personally I stopped giving a damn about pings. It usually hurts the survivor more than me, unless im playing huntress or nurse (I almost never do that anymore), so whatever
If you are dodged, then its more likely due to certain reputation of one of your mates, a streamer/toxic name or too many items

Ruin is essential the only thing helping to combat genrush and even then if you're actually good at the game, you can work through it. Besides it'd be unfair to just outright ban a perk, especially for the side that's already at a severe disadvantage
Just give it up, you should know which fights you can win and which are lost from the beginning.

Admittedly I don't play on PS4, but I doubt they have to deal with killers actively trying to ruin their reputations and getting them banned, or the volume of hate and general toxicity that killers have to deal with.
You don't play on PS4? Literally at least 80% of the killers here camp & tunnel without it being needed. Console killers are sweaty toxic try hards with 0 skill
Killers have become what you made them.

Laggswitching will still be possible, I dont trust in BHVRs coding
You definitely don't know how dedicated servers work. There is a "middle-man" between all players. If you [BAD WORD] around with your connection in any way aka lagswitching, the middle-man doesn't care and noone else is suffering but the one who tried to lagswitch.
Maybe you wanna look up what was possible in the old rainbow six netcode, just to give you a rough idea.

How long will the survivor be on the hook until they lose another life? What happens to all the mechanic designed for camping, take leatherface or insidious for example?
There is no time limit for losing another life. There is no struggle phase either. The player on the hook either has to wait until another survivor frees them or they manage to struggle free. The first attempt to struggle free has a base chance of 0% success and each attempt after increases the chance by 1%. Each attempt would take approximately 4 seconds. If no one rescues the survivor they would eventually get themselves free. There is a random factor here, but on average it would take around a minute to free themselves. Most of the time they would be rescued before that point.
Leatherface could continue being Leatherface. He doesn't HAVE to camp to be relevant. There would be no change to insidious either. The killer can stand still and have no terror radius any time they want. Camp a gen, camp an exit gate, camp a chest, camp a high traffic point, whatever. Is it a smart strategy? No.
Ahh, so survivors dont need to rescue each other at all? Yeah sorry to say that, btu that is really stupid.
The only way to apply some pressure is by hookinh survivors and forcing another one to unhook him.
There would need to be tremdenous killer buffs to compensate for that. Also leatherface is a killer desigend for camping. Thats the onyl thing he is good for, same for insidious.
Thats like saying the devs remove all pallets, but brutal strengh is still relevant since it also shortens generator breaking......
