You have to realize that tunneling is just the optimal play most of the times.
Whether she could have landed an extra hit on your friend is debatable and imnot gonna comment on that without footage, but sometimes you will lose your actual victim if you do thatBe honest though, she wasn't playing in an 'optimal' way, she was mad because of Dead hard. I can understand Sprint burst but Dead hard? ######### is the logic. Next thing you know, Deja vu is considered a toxic genrushing perk.
With all the ######### killers have to go through sometimes, im not surprised.
But again, without footage its hard to tell. But does it hoenstly matter what the reason was? -

Thats BHVR logic
Sigh...
Did you know Survivors were meant to have a 10% debuff on themselves while co-oping on a generator? And did you know that it was never working properly, so they've fixed it and also included the red "progress reduction" bar when co-oping a generator?
Oh.... and how now Prove Thyself just cancels out that 10% so you'll just have the old 2/3/4man gen times back prior to 2.5.0? And how also prior to 2.5.0 with all these changes how Leader effected those gen times? Therefore generators aren't as fast as before & I'm also sure they tweaked toolbox % increases too and decreased them a little bit. Could be wrong on that one.
I guess not because you clearly talk so much trash without even watching their recent streams...
It dosent just cancel out the generatir multiple survivor penalty, it adds on top of that.
Did you see how fast gens go now with prove thyself?
Again..
Did you know that was a bug? Only one Prove Thyself can be on affect at a time.
Meaning, if 3 are equipped. you won't get 30%. You'll still get 10%. They fixed that at release.
Watch their streams man please?
LMAOOOOOO...........
Let's actually take this scenario and apply to a real game.
With all 4 survivors being injured and within a 32m radius (which is the standard Terror radius for the average speed Killer [115%]), committing to a generator... Not to mention the existence of: Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Huntress... Legion.... Leatherface?!? Discordance? What if they had no stacks for Stake out and there was Ruin?
And you're going to tell me you aren't able to apply ANY pressure or down ANYONE in all that time, meaning you lost 4 chases minimum, or those many survivors got off the hook and managed to hide from you and group up in 4 man..
WHILE THEY'RE ALL RUNNING THOSE USELESS 4 PERKS..... No Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Self Care, Leader, Iron Will... Urban? Idk man, those 4 perks with 4 survivors equipping them makes it an easy game..
Toolboxes??? Hello?? Franklins???
Like applying this to a real game... makes me feel like you're trolling this forum in general
Sorry that I didnt have footage without the useless perks, but I think you get the point

Hi, I just wanted to mention how much I hate it when I end up in a game of 3 or less survivors, always lose, and get ranked down for it (let’s be honest, doing less generators doesn’t really even it out). I have no doubt the talented devs of DBD could balance it differently, OR they could simply make games where the survivors are outnumbered from the start not count for ranked. Thanks for reading!
Well ######### happens if survivors DC

In order to get the 5points do all survivors benefit from completed gen or do they need to work on it as well? If so then survivors have a challenge as well because if you only completed 1 or 2 gen then you only leave with 8 points unless you escaped with the lantern.
If you're alive and a Gen is completed then you'll get the points. If you're alive and someone else escapes with a Lantern, you also get the points.
Wait... What?... So if another survivor in the group escapes with a vessel and you escape but with no vessel... You both get the 25 points?
I wasn't paying attention to this part... I was under the impression you needed to escape with the vessel to get the 25 points, if you left without one, then you didn't get the 25 points, but only the points for completed gens.
Not sure if it's a bug or intended but yes If someone escapes with the Vessel and you don't you still get the points. It's so easy

This is so silly xD really why would they let that through... like I can understand making to where you keep the progress when you die but allowing this is just silly
Its a known fact that the QA of BHVR would need a QA for themselves.....

Body-blocking is something the devs should really look into fixing because not only does the game become unplayable and therefore unenjoyable, but the only way to progress in a session where bodyblocking is involved is by disconnecting. Why am I being punished (losing pips) because of someone else’s decision to troll?I’m used to being body blocked by the killer when I’m caught in a corner, but what happened in a session earlier today is something I need to highlight.
Logged into a session where the Kate was obviously communicating with the killer (Legion). Farmed the first survivor on the hook until he died. She found me and proceeded to chase me around the map, revealing my location to the killer. Anyway, I managed to lose them both. When all the gens were done, Legion body-blocked one exit while the Kate body-blocked the other. Me and the other survivor left in the game were helpless and didn’t know what to do. They didn’t budge for 30 minutes (I counted). As soon as me and the other survivor disconnected, the Kate opens the escape door and runs out.
How is this fair?
Also, I’m fairly new to the forums and would appreciate any help on how to report the players that were involved in this. Thank you!So what is your suggestion?
You can record the game and send footage to the support -

This is really pissing me off haha
So, i don't have any problems with people being bad at the game, because i'm not a perfect player and the whole point is to have fun, but the thing is: i do not enjoy that much playing a match where everything that my team mates does screws me up, if they do something at all.
What are your thoughts about this topic?just to make some examples, i just played a game where i was affected by ruin 1 and i was the only one that did gens. I did 2 gens and then the killer murdered us all. For a whole match no one touched a gen. I understand that the event just started but, how? it's the only thing you have to do in the game, what the [BAD WORD] are you doing the entire time hahah
Also people that run in corners to self care themself, even if u do the emotes and say to come with u so u can heal them. Maybe i have a medkit, or botany knowledge or something else but they do not trust me at all and decide to waste a lot of time because maybe the killer can come and tunnel him. I often take the aggro or maybe take a hit if i am full health, cause if the other guy gets downed i have less chance to survive the entire match, but people don't realize that u can do some team work to higher your chances of escaping. I rarely see someone take a hit for me or just play having in mind that the survivors are a team of 4 people.funny mention: got downed by a billy near the basement, no one was hooked there before. He brings me down ad i see two people chillin there. h e l l o g u y s , w h a t a r e y o u d o i n g d o w n h e r e ?
A shame that the community asked for free pips and the devs handed them out

@MasterYes it would be theoretically possible, but as I mentioned before a proper ranking sysstem would kill teh game (in its current unbalanced state)
I just showed you that balance in irrelevant; it can be as unbalanced as a wheel chair versus a sprinter. Nothing gets broken. Everything works fine.
It doesn't matter whether survivors can fly, whether they can kill the killer, whether the killer has a nuke. We can create a functioning ranking system regardless and have it select only the best players to reach the top ranks.Yes you can create such a system, but since the whole commuinity would abandon the game, it would indeed break the game

Not to be smug or anything, but I have to agree that @Master has a point. Long wait is a result of not enough killers opening lobbies, at least that would be the most apparent cause. Survivors have the opportunity to earn points without interruption while killer has to close a chase everytime. Not to big a leap to assume which side is over inflated for the event. That may be true to an extent, of course. I just don't care for the passive aggressive tone, you kow.
But somehow, the waiting times can vary a lot - like on solo, it's between under 1 minute (sometimes) to mostly over 5-10 minutes, in rare cases even more. SWF wait times can be over 30 minutes - it doesn't make much sense that they're are generally so much longer as SWF. Thus, I also suspect some issues with the matchmaking in general.
On that note, the wait times didn't change at all for me from pre-event to event. It's exactly the same (mostly longer that it should be). But I can see that the event may be rather survivor-sided in terms of event-pesos so yeah, that is taken into account. It totally makes sense that SWF take longer too queue, solo queue survivors should be prioritized

I wouldn't look at it this strictly. You could still let different ranks play against each other. DbD is not esports like, for example, LoL.
Well as I said, in a COMPETITIVE game, thats how it should be. Of course if DBD wants to stay a casual mess, then its sth they dont have to worry about
-
Well if the survivor ducked up that badly that several are dead before a single gen is done, then they don't deserve to escape. That'd my opinion about thisBrady said:@Master said:
So what? With the current hatch design, there is no other way to slugg.
Blame the survivor community who cried loud enough such that the devs lost their balls and sticked with the jcurrent hatch mechanic
Do you know how hard it is to win a game with 5,4 gens and one dead?
It's called the death-efficiency problem that was pointed out with the mathematics. The hatch was created to solve that problem because it's nearly impossible to win a game with 3 people alive and 5/4 gens left to do unless The Killer is absolute trash.
The hatch was just poor execution, but survivors had every right for it to be added.

Sucks when nobody wants to play killer
How can this be fixed? Mhm.....

@MasterDO you really believe that players will continue playing the game if at rank 1 there is a 200% speed buff? Because thats what it will feel like. Rank 1 will be nurse exclusively basically
I don't think you're getting my point, lol.
It doesn't matter whether the game is in a state in which the killer always 4k's or whether the survivors ALWAYS escape. We could still create a competitive ranking system that would allow only the best killers and survivors to climb to the top, again; regardless of the state the game is in.The trick is in how you measure scores.
If a group of 10 people in a wheel chair and 10 sprinters participate in a 100 meter sprint contest, with a proper ranking system, you'd still be able to have the wheelchair opponents win against the sprinters, even in this example in which the wheelchair participants can't even move at half the speed of the sprinters. It's not about imbalance. It's about measuring scores.
Yes it would be theoretically possible, but as I mentioned before a proper ranking sysstem would kill teh game (in its current unbalanced state)
-
Doesnt facecamping benefit you? Aka free escape with lanterns.....
Also what do you expect, survivors and killers going easy on each other when they have to compete about the objective?

@MasterThats an issue of the ranking system, but the ranking system cant be fixed before the game gets balanced or everything will fall apart
Nothing will fall apart. With the proper ranking system, game balance is not relevant. The job of a ranking system simply is to determine who the best player is. You can do that easily even if there is a perk that increases your movement-speed by 200%, making the game unbalanced.
DO you really believe that players will continue playing the game if at rank 1 there is a 200% speed buff? Because thats what it will feel like. Rank 1 will be nurse exclusively basically

The problem there isn't balance. It's the way they calculate what counts as a victory. It's more of a score issue than a balance issue.

QA = quality assurance -
Because instead of fixing those issues before live release after they have been identified by an QA team, they let the community find them and then fix them in the live build.

"As a survivor if I get chased by a good killer, I usually dont last very long" So you admit that you are not that good in looping, but then ask yourself this question. If there are higher skilled players than you, why are you able to reach rank 1, the rank that should be reserved to top-notch players? Thats just one of the many unbalances in DBD. Also if you cant feel the balance gap between solo and SWF, then I dont know what to say. It should be obvious if you play killer I do play killer and i rarely ever have issues against any survivors, solo or swf. And if I do it isn't a balance issue its because I tunneled to long and didnt apply pressure, or I swung to early and missed the hit. As I said I'm not the best killer.
And i I'm not terrible on either side but I'm defintely not the best, like I said I can be pretty good on the jukes, but not always. Super good killers can generally mind game me pretty quick. I'm not afraid to admit that haha. And the chase isn't the whole game, rank involves playing your role well. I'm good at safely doing team gens, saving/healing friends, and I'm okay at the loops. Loops aren't the whole side of survivor theres alot more too it
So how is it possible that you reach rank 1?
According to your descritpion you are a fairly new player that is not playing competitive at all or has understand the basics of safe and unsafe pallets

because its not hard at all to rank up? also its simple: loop short I hit u loop long I hit pallet
There you go, you just admitted to the first balance issue (broken ranksystem)
