Careful. You don't wanna hear everyone calling you a liar because you said it might come before 2024. You know how this community can get.
It would be nice though, if they told us a bit more about how it is coming along and when we might expect it the very earliest. Just so that we know not to go too crazy before that.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3573515#Comment_3573515
Could you tells us a bit more about what exactly it is that needs all that careful testing, or potential issues? Because, respectfully, from my (admittedly very uneducated) perspective, it seems rather simple. Add a FOV slider, that allows players to scale their own FOV in either fixed numbers or freely.
But of course I am not a programmer, so I cannot possibly see all the potential problems. I reckon many of us would be more understanding, if we had a better idea of what it is that actually needs to be tested so thoroughly.
To give an example, every map with every killer - bugs can occur that then need fixing. It's not as simple as with shadowborn which is a set fov - it's adjustable so all those adjustments need to be checked. Some killers also have a fov increase, Legion in Frenzy for example so it has to be worked into that as well.

Who cares, it's just a killer's QoL right ? I mean, it's not a survivors issue that need to be implemented asap, it's just killers so...
Meanwhile let's add more "QoL" to survivors
Sorry that you think that way.
But that's not how it works, it's not decided on whether something affects survivors or killers, but the feature itself. There's more work that has to go into this than you possibly realise. Which is why we confirmed in the original AMA where we discussed this first that it's not something that we're able to put into the game immediately, these things take time, they take a lot of testing and as you might be aware, there's other content that's going into the game as well which also takes a large amount of testing and bandwidth from various other departments.
However much you would love things to be killer or survivor sided, sorry that's not the way it is.
-
FOV slider will be coming - I think most people underestimate the work involved, it's not a matter of making Shadowborn basekit - because there's different FOV's in between Shadowborn range and base FOV, that all have to be accounted for, built in, tested etc. So whilst it might seem like a simple process, it involves a lot more work.
-
Given that things like perks and items are quite heavily part of balancing we'd need to weaken them if there was more of them available.
So for example with medkits, if players could carry two (plus have the in-game option to get more) we'd need to weaken medkits - then the issue would arise that a single one would be essentially worthless and players would need two. It's a very fine line to make something usable in game, and useful without making it overly strong. Which is why medkits had their recent updates as they were incredibly strong prior to that.
-
Under Review is when the moderators have seen the report and have logged it their end.
Denied is when something is not actually a bug, could be a technical issue or could be an intended feature.
The rest of what GentlemanFridge said is correct

Hello, thanks for the response, and yea receiving very much.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/65DQ3DBP8MLP/deadbydaylight.log
I presume you're talking about this?
Thank you
-
If you're receiving crashes, can you get your game logs so we can investigate further please - it would be helpful, thank you.
-
you should be getting your refunds very shortly, if you've not yet received them!
-
The shard & AC difference will be refunded automatically by our team - I do not have an ETA on that yet I'm afraid. However, the refund is for the purchase on the 18th during the time when the sale went live and before the correct IS prices were added (so approximately the first 2 hours of the Event), no other refunds will be happening, anything purchased on the 19th October that is included with the sale, would automatically have the correct discount applied.
-
Also the login rewards are at 2pm ET - the question posted was at 1.41pm so before they were even scheduled to be out.
-
@Caiman said:
I bought Renato with shards about a week ago. I doubt I'll be included in that, but it sure would be nice. Then I could get Thalita too, and I'd finally have every survivor unlocked.
This is only refunding the difference from when the sale started yesterday - Shard prices were not added until later, and the AC amounts were only 30% when they should have been higher. So we are refunding the difference on the characters. Earlier purchases (so before the sale started) are not being refunded.

Same I got two Characters when it was 350 last night and today I seen them 250. I have not got the difference yet. hope it happens soon.
it's not going to be instant I'm afraid, it will likely take a few days.
-
Hi, we will be refunding the difference between what you paid vs what you should have paid. You do not need to contact our Support Team, we're working on having this done automatically for you.
-
For players who purchased characters for either shards or AC's after the sale had started and before the prices were correctly implemented, they will receive the refunds of the difference in amounts automatically - we're currently working on this.
However, there's no refunds for anything purchased prior to the sale starting.
-
If players purchased the character at full price with Iri Shards, or with the 350AC's prior to the correct pricing of 250AC's being implemented , then a refund of the price difference will automatically be sent to you.
However, there's no refunds for anything purchased prior to the sale starting.
-
If you purchased the character after the sale started then yes you will receive a refund between what you paid and what you should have paid with the sale. However, if you purchased prior to the sales starting then no, we would not be able to refund you.

Wasn't facecamping already fixed with getting rid of grabs? With the exeption of Stbfl and instadowns.
Also survs forget about how to save with 2 ppl, were 1 takes one hit and the other unhooks while the killer is in recovery.
That's the problem what i see with adding more and more free basekit perks and surv sided mechanics - survs even play worse as there is no need of getting better and learning. With basekit BT and the anti-camp feature, survs don't need to know how to go for a SAFE unhook anymore. In the worst case, they just need to trade. With the sideeffect last second unhooks are even more effective - more time on gens, just making sure the hooked surv doesn't enter the next stage.
Spinning that around a bit - the longer time on generators only applies if the killer is actually camping. And if the killer is camping then survivors are doing the right thing by staying on generators and finishing the match to escape.
If the anti facecamp feature kicks in, it's giving that survivor the chance to be able to participate in the game.

Would including game logs be useful?

Here is a photo. You can see I own the Knight cosmetic "Open Heart" but have 0 points in the top right corner.
Can you try to restart for me please, to see if they show up then?
(sorry to ask you to do this, but it would really help)
-
Anyone tried to restart and see if they show up?
Just want to be able to give our team as much info as possible
-
Can confirm that you will have enough for all the things!
-
This was never meant to address camping as a whole. This is purely with regards to face-camping, so the killer within a specific range which pretty much prevented saves being made...and it seems that that side is working. If killers are standing further away, then there's opportunity for the survivors to make a save.
-
Which skins did you get please? Are they all from this Event not a previous one?
-
There is no way to fix this I am afraid, the 60 day wait period is mandatory.
-
Can confirm you will be able to get everything with the Dark Trinkets.
-
This has now been fixed, so your Event Items should be showing on your bloodwebs!
Thanks for the flag on this everyone and for your patience <3
-
Hi, we are looking into these items not appearing in the bloodweb - will update more when I can.

Thank you, got the new code and it works now 👍
Thanks for confirming! <3
-
There has been a fix applied, you should start receiving your purchased Auric Cells now
-
Please remember, that if you do face someone in your game that you suspect is cheating - please report these players, we do take action on reports (and it helps us to find information on new cheats etc).
Thank you.
-
Unfortunately not, given the security issues we face - I have no intentions of adding further file extensions onto the platform I'm afraid.
-
Hello, this issue is currently under investigation with our team - apologies for the inconvenience here, will update as soon as more information becomes available.
-
Thanks for letting us know of this issue. We will be resending emails with a further code that will be redeemable and we apologise for the inconvenience.
You do not need to do anything, the emails will be sent automatically to those who are eligible.
-
There is no option for Nintendo Switch to connect I'm afraid.
-
Can assure you, Dead by Daylight is not going anywhere.
We're a growing company and have many projects on the go (always have done!), and we remain having a dedicated team to Dead by Daylight which has not changed, growing if anything!

There is only one scenario (besides the already mentioned TS) which is bothering me:
If you are on a hook and the killer stands right next to it on a hill or dropdown (Kindred told me that he was well inside 16m) about 10m from me, the bar does not go up.
I guess the game thinks that he needs to go down the hill the way he got up, but it's not the case. It would be nice if a fix is considered.
Examples can be found on MacMillan (hills), Coldwind (hills+harvester+main), Haddonfield, The Game, Red Forrest and many more.
interesting one, right now Kindred doesn't show the killers aura, so are you sure that they were also within range?
We are monitoring those vertical distances, after making some adjustments for the Live version
-
To clarify a few things here, this is not an "Anti Camp Feature" this is purely for the cases of face camping. The bar will not stop if the killer is right next to you but continue to fill until you can hop of the hook at an opportune moment. The best time for survivors to hop off is just before the 1st ends and then before the 2nd stage ends - to waste as much of the killers time as possible.
And I don't believe making unhooks silent will assist in the problem at all, they will likely make killers never leave the hook area at all - as they lose that vital information.
Camping and tunneling are still viable strategies - one that can be punished by the other survivors in the match also - doing the generators whilst the killers are camping for example, or taking hits when a survivor is being tunneled to allow the survivor to get to another loop.
The feature that we just implemented is of course being monitored and we will be carefully looking at the effects of it, but it's most definitely not an anti camp feature and it's not meant to affect "regular" camping.

Can you tell me what the bug with ultimate weapon was?
The bug was where survivors were screaming even if they were in a locker - lockers prevent the scream from occurring.

Nice! It is kinda weird. Then again ultimate weapon was labeled as "Not a bug" and also got fixed. These forums striking out lately i guess lol.
The ultimate weapon issue being marked as not a bug, was a human error - it happens, Moderators pass on the bug reports to the team and change bug status's - sometimes an error can happen and a wrong drop down is selected. It's unfortunate when it does, but the bug was already on our radar and logged seperately, hence the fix went through.

Strange, this was labelled as a bug and fixed in 7.3.0!
yes this was after having further discussions with designers on what was being discussed, and giving them your feedback
-
If this is concerning the BHVR account linking, I am afraid nothing can be done. If you unlink you need to wait the 60 days prior to relinking accounts.
-
You need to connect your game account to the BHVR account and link your Twitch account also.
https://account.bhvr.com/twitch-drops/dbd/ there's an FAQ on this page (scroll down) which should answer all your questions.
-
Unfortunately, these Twitch Drops can't be earned on Nintendo Switch - we do have more things coming this month however.
-
Hi, this forum is not the best place to ask regarding the mobile version as we are the core game here, dbd mobile has their own discord server I believe, you might have more success in finding players there.
