Some issues take longer to identify the root cause and to implement a fix and we have submission deadlines for these fixes to be implemented and once that has passed we cannot add any more fixes to that patch.
-
You don't use the forum to report players, we have strict naming & shaming rules on this forum (which is why the link you posted was removed from your post).
For further information on the Game rules and how to report players with evidence, please see here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Can I get some clarification on this as a new player. If I have someone on hook and their team is silly enough to go for the save without borrowed time, right in front of me, so I defend and re-hook, then they do it yet again, so I repeat resulting in a kill, can I be banned for “targeting” or “tunnelling”?
no, it would need to be targeting specific person/people over the course of several matches as the OP explained in their first post.

Yeah....no.
that was succinct and to the point! 😂

Some issues are always going to take longer than others to fix, animation seems to me like a pretty big undertaking to change as well. There's just only so much that can be done prior to the deadlines, some things are not possible to fix in a short period of time so these will be fixed at a later date.
-
Pretty sure that's one of the issues that are being looked into.
(and it is mentioned in the post here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/227672/news-4-5-0-next-steps#latest )
-
I've seen that before and the more I look at it the more I dislike it. It looks overly packed and at a quick glance would be very difficult to see the required Survivor information.

I disagree. Having good timing for pallet/flashlight saves is part of the skillset of a good survivor, removing that would reduce the skill ceiling for survivors.
Plus it was already tested once and it felt terrible, both for a balance reason (being downed under a pallet meant you couldn't be hooked) and for aesthetic reasons (the killer would drop the survivor up to 2 seconds later of being actually stunned because the whole pick up animation had to play).
I'm in full agreement for this comment. I think getting the timing right is part of the challenge, I remember when it was absurdly simple, same as I remember the flashlight saves being absurdly simple (was quickly reverted), it made things way too easy and I think learning the timings of things is part of the challenge of the game.
-
Both sides tend to complain pretty much equally from what I see, and it's pretty common for one side to not like things that are on the other side.
As for the pallet issue, that's a known bug from the latest patch.
-
It would be nice to have both, I wouldn't want to lose Flashlights though - although I am sure Hag mains wouldn't mind!
-
Can you possibly get a video of this and are you sure it's not a settings issue on your side?
-
With regard to Number 3 - does that happen every time you play against this killer, what perks and addons were they running etc?
Please note that it's more helpful to make an individual report for each bug, as per the template advised in this post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/146040/important-use-this-template-to-report-your-issue#latest

I am not sure if this is connected with the pip issue, are the pips showing as double pips? If you can get screenshots of the Emblem section that will be great thank you.
-
If you're looking in the direction of the firecracker (this one seemed to be dropped at the edge of your screen) you will get blinded, even if you're the one that dropped the firecracker. They're especially available right now due to the Lunar New Year.
-
This could be in connection with the issue surrounding pips right now, to get the achievement you need a double pip - the game might not be registering the double pip? If you could check in the Emblem section to see what it says and possibly screenshot that please.

I prefer the 1st image. But since the character never change in a trial. portraits can be dimmer and the status cover on their portrait with brighter grey
Something like this
That image would actually be very very hard for people to see if they have any sort of visual impairment issue...for example I had to put a filter on my monitor to be able to see it, it's not practical for something you need to glance at imo.
-
I'm not sure what you think is a bug here, I've watched the video and you can hear someone drop a firecracker - these do blind anyone, not just killers...so it's normal for you to be blinded by that.
-
Hi, I've merged these threads into one, it'll help us keep track of the feedback - it's a lot easier to have it in one thread. Thanks for being so constructive with this so far, it's much appreciated.
-
I'd be all for giving him his ability to stalk multiple survivors back, I remember when it was removed - but it was a very different game back then, the game has moved on a lot, I don't think it would be a big issue for him to have it.
-
You need to completely shut down the switch (not just on standby) give it like 10 minutes, then restart, it should be fine then.
-
I've spawned in the shack before now with a Bubba - that didn't end well for me!
Please, if things like this are happening, make a bug report and grab as much evidence as you can.
This one does sound strange though, it sounds like you started the match after everyone else - as things happened so quickly

???? clearly there is a disconnect with what mods know and what the devs do, yet this mod disregards any of that and answers questions without even knowing what is happening on the backend and cannot play the game they mod for themselves to see the trainwreck of the current state of hitboxes/validation? How thick is your wool you sheep?
I do play the game, I'm also a full time BHVR employee...I'm a Community Coordinator and a member of the Community Team - my answer that hit validation is not turned off is perfectly correct it has not been turned off. As I have communicated in the message at the top of this forum, we are currently investigating what is happening with the strange hits right now.

to find game breaking glitch that can cause the game to become unplayable or to find a list of active bugs that can be worked on
Pretty much this.
We also communicated in advance about the UI etc in our Q&A Stream where we explained that because console doesn't get a PTB we wanted feedback from that section of the Community, not just the small amount of players that played on the PTB.
We've confirmed that we're going through all the feedback that we've received since release of this patch on all platforms, and will address these in upcoming patches.

If you think you've found a bug, please first check if it's already been reported and if so, you can vote up that particular report to show how many people have been affected. If there's no report, then you are free to make a bug report following the template on the pinned thread in the sub forum: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

Can you check that all updates are done on your PS4 please, that's usually the first thing and the most common cause of these type of things.
If everything is up -to-date and you still don't have your DLC, you will need to contact Support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
-
yepp, exactly what @PanicSquid has said - if you have video evidence all the better (as an FYI, uploading the video to youtube and then putting the link on the Support sheet is usually the best way, as then it uploads correctly without giving you errors). Thank you PanicSquid for the answer.

I think the change to Decisive is pretty needed, it's in the position right now where it's pretty abusable. I think the change promotes much healthier game play, it's still going to be useful when you are being tunneled but it takes away that period of invicibility that seems to exist right now.
-
There's no new information on whether cross progression will ever be implemented other than the already mentioned platforms ie Stadia, Steam & shortly Switch. sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear but there's no guarantees that it will ever be implemented I'm afraid.
-
I have absolutely no issue with BBQ either when playing a survivor or playing as killer - I would rather the killer have a perk that gets them away from the hook person and encourages interaction and chases rather than a gen slowdown perk that they will feel the need to return to the hook for.
I think BBQ is in a perfectly balanced place right now, survivors have outplay to it - it's pretty clear when the killer has it, so you can locker it if you don't want to be chased (I often rather be chased), it gives the killer great information to enable them to get back into a chase quickly and put pressure on the map, I think it's one of the best perks in the game for the whole overall health of the game.
-
We did address this yesterday and there's a pinned message on top of the forums to show that this is a priority to us.
-
I'm liking that No Mither & Self Care got recommended :)
I have fun with Head On builds, I must admit Head On & Deception are my current favourite perks.
But really when I get bored, i switch to the other side and play a few rounds of that as well, it seems to the do the trick for me.

I saw Mandy say on another post they are aware of this bug so hopefully will be fixed fast than the gen bug.
yepp, I've got a lot of reports/video on it. And it's been passed to the team already. I don't have an ETA on a fix though.
-
I don't have the exact reasoning as to why it's not in this rift, but can confirm it will be in a future rift.
-
As I've said, this is not something we can help you with on the forum. It's between you and Support I'm afraid.
And no, bumping is not desired on any forum.
-
Open Handed was never put in the PTB or the patch notes, it was discussed in the Developer Update - but never went to PTB.
I have no further information as to whether it's going to be in a later update or not.
Fixated & Diversion were both updated in the recent patch
-
This is a known bug, I do suggest upvoting the bug report in the reports section.

would brand new rank twenties (with a 100% winrate in theory) still be matched against really really successful players? Or because of playtime (affecting the mmr) will the successful players not be matched with baby players?
From my understanding brand new players shouldn't be matched with more experienced players, it should match them with their players around their skill level.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. But all I see that references my question is the sentence:
"You’ll earn rewards for both Killer and Survivor separately. For example, if you reach rank 1 on both roles, you’ll receive a total of 500,000 Bloodpoints"
I think that means, that blood points reward earned at the end of the month will be separate for survivor and killer ranks, not individual ranks.
The skill based matchmaking will take into consideration your skill with other killers but if you'e playing a brand new killer your skill rate won't be so high as on a character that you do really well with....so yes it's individual in that sense, of course you won't be a complete beginner level either, because you know maps, tiles etc
-
I'd say no because I'm concerned about making it even more busier than it is now, I also don't pay much attention to whether I pip or not and play for BP.
-
they are being looked into - can't say much more than that at this stage

But it's not licensed characters. You currently can not buy either Yui nor the Oni with shards.
that's an acknowledged bug
-
thank you for the update on it.
-
from yesterday's patch notes.
-
It's not confirmed when it will or if it will be implemented.
-
It wasn't in the PTB, it was discussed in a Stream previously but it wasn't in the PTB. I don't have information on whether it will happen or when I'm afraid.
-
I'm not really sure what's being reported here tbh. I can't see how losing the shred attack when you effectively tab out of the game is a bug 🤔
-
Please check the bug reports section to see if the bug you've encountered has been reported, and if it has not, then create a new report. If it has been reported then vote up the report.
Thanks for your assistance.
