I'd be open to getting rid of some pallets in favor of more interesting variety provided they DONT extend the chase longer than it is already. If you're having trouble with going down fast then that's an issue with your gameplay, not the game itself. Overall the survivor has the advantage in a chase.
I'd be super down for this. Perhaps even different types of pallets for a start, and maybe openable windows (smashable by the killer making them non traversable) things that would substitute for the place or a pallet and just add diversity would be amazing. They could potentially add more or less time to a chase tbh, just so long as there not useless or overpowered.
-
Genuinely don't hate playing as anyone really, survivor or killer. Same with playing against them tbh. Don't really dc on either side lest some bugs take control of the game.
I guess my least liked is wraith? Due to my underwhelming perks on him, even though I really enjoy wraith? Or perhaps trapper even though I love him and have considered getting him to prestige 3 purely because getting that one game changing trap is amazing, but I guess he'd probably be my least fav due to how underwhelming he can also be
Least favourite survivor would have to be Quentin I guess since there's nothing terribly interesting about him :/ tbh kinda relate to the poor lad in that we're both insomniacs (clearly for different reasons) so I can't really even dislike him either. Even if he has icky face syndrome

I always accept a heal from a teammate, except, you slap me while healing, and then follow me to my new location and try to heal, you'll just be waiting. I'm not down for that "here killer killer, get the wounded guy" garbage.
Failing a healing skillcheck doesn't alert the killer. It just makes a noise. If the killer isin't within like 5 to 10m they are not going to hear it
-
I've seen probably about 5 in the past two weeks? It's what happens when your not top tier I guess.

Try walking/crouching in non grass areas, it actually messes them up a lot more.
They usually expect you to be moving faster but you can use the varying movement speeds and lower footstep audio to walk in differing directions before sprinting again

I guess behaviour got some help from the Identity V creators, the skillchecks, that glowing heart and some of the "killer ability" button arrangement looks nearly the same.
The heart could maybe make it in, but im amazed at those red warning bars pointing towards the killer when close. Theyre way too good for looping behind walls.
I've only really played identity v once so I can't speak for that, but I really do like the glowing heart Indicator

looks like fun! can't wait to play.

It'd be ultimately useless, since when you go down everyone already knows where the killer is.
Well it would tell them if the killer is slugging, and coming towards them. along with revealing the killer if the survivor hasn't seen who it is yet.
@Elk said:
Maybe instead of the killer's aura it can be your teammates instead. So like kindred, but for downed. Another thing could be others can heal you faster at ?%/?%/?% and also the bloodpoints you mentioned.
It is so everyone can see eachother for 10 seconds, get bloodpoints and heal you from down to injured faster.
Could be a good idea!

Doctor:
- Increase his base shock range (aka Moldy Electrode as base). His base range is #########.
- Remove increased charge time penalty from electrode add-ons. I honestly see no reason for this.
- Modify his shock range the following way. Either make it so that the area of effect also reaches Doc's hitbox or make a very small ring around him along with the cone (like a built-in Scrapped Tape with reduced range but no "inner radius"). Just because I feel its ridiculous how you can completely dodge a shock by just running up to the killer.
- Either make the shock apply the effect instantly (no delay) or allow shocked areas to remain in the shocked spot for a couple of seconds (and shocking the Survivor if they walk on it).
All of this yes, but persistent shock should be an add-on.

Only if they increase the base time to cleanse totems and give a base reason to cleanse them thats unique and not integral to the game.
otherwise thats just a straight buff.
what if breaking a dull totem revealed the killers aura for a slight amount of time? (extendable by perks, and hidden by TOTH) or it gives a buff to healing speed for a short period of time etc. some kind of small impactful change that encourages doing them, but without impacting the game too much.
should also make totems in general worth far more bp. 1000 for dulls, and maybe a 1500-2000 for hex's. there's only potentially 5 in a match so i don't think thats unfair when spread amongst 4 people.
base totem breaking time should be around 16-18 with Kept but constantly degenerating progress imo, and with TOTH should keep no progress and be maybe a base 20.
That way without running totem builds or toth its harder to do totems, and with toth its still slightly harder to do them, but it becomes more of a committed act rather then something thats just absurdly long. ie standardised long totem times. toth also shouldn't be revealed to the player until they get off the totem or break their first one. the speed debuff would also not be removed upon cleansing dulls and other totems.
With no warning on toth, i think it would potentially make it tons more powerful

Doesn't all of this apply to Wraith as well except wraith is just worse?
Nope wraith blocks collision due to him having no one hit.
There's even a popular build based around it called body blocked wraith, using both windstorm add-ons I believe to make you the fastest possible while cloaked then blocking windows and pallets in order to get strikes off
Edit: body blocker*

Because micheal and ghostface can sneak up. If you back yourself into a wall against leatherface or hillbilly it's kind of your fault, yet ghostface and Micheal can potentially trap survivors and insta down them, with not so much as a wink of warning.
A lot of this has to do with the way maps are designed though. Take a tier one Myers with monitor, or ghostface (hell even Myers without monitor) there are rooms on both haddonfield and the preschool with one gen and one exit with no windows. Same principal with the game map and the bathroom. (The game map has cover though which prevents stalking unless the killer enters which towards the survivor a chance to escape.) In these situations the killer can sneak up on the room, and offer the survivor no chance of escape before they even know who or what the killer is.
It's just a matter of balance tbh due to map design. Thats not to say it wouldn't be nice to have no collision though, it would certainly be situational but a significant buff.
-
Deffinately play both to Learn maps! Maybe even get into a kyf and tour around different maps?
Good survivor perks for beginners (which are sadly only on Kate and Feng) are technician and windows of opportunity. Amazing for preventing skillcheck blowup, and for learning loops and where windows/pallets will spawn.
Best thing I can say to do though? Play both consistently. For the longest time I only played kyf as survivor, but then I actually touched the online game and played killer and I began to love it! Practise practise practise makes perfect!

I have every dlc lol.
Is that not like a common thing though? Like I've had the game since just a bit before pigs release and I really don't want to come off as entitled or some rich bastard (I work minimum wage) but like I thought it was a rather common thing to have most if not every dlc, iregardless of personal opinion on them due to well the nature of wanting to collect and master them all, along with just wanting to have access to all content...
Idk maybe I'm just strange and are way to addicted to this game

Simple solution, cosmetic just shows up in game. Your already in the game with them and thus unless you want to be like them you may as well stick it out with the dunce over there
God seeing killers/survivors with that on would make me laugh so hard
@Bithard said:
Not gonna lie, a lot of people would DC just to see it. I'd probably do it at least once ๐
A part of the problem I suppose but then again you'd just see it when other people have dc'ed. You wouldn't ever actually see the cosmetic. It would be the game essentially poking fun at you to everyone else

The premise behind this is that if they player wants to act like an idiot they may as well look like one!
-
i mean i haven't but im willing
I've only really played dbd with people i've met there and irl friends
-
I only farm when i go in with the mentality to farm, ie friends and i will all take BT and WGLF and farm each other etc. or i'll just name myself farm me and meme the whole game until the killer takes pity on me. or i'll run padded trapper/only bloodpoint perks on killer with the intent to farm
otherwise if i see that many cakes/streamers you've basically just ensured your death/survival depending on what team your on. i only ever farm with intent, otherwise im going to play super tryhard in order to max out my points. if someones having a particularly bad game, i'll give em hatch, or sacrafice myself for them etc but even still.
I take bloodpoint offerings as a challenge for the most part

Nah. There are already Killer perks and addons that cause Survivors to get more skillchecks.
They always help the Survivor. Skill checks aren't difficult enough to make throwing a bunch of them a threat.
The only way this suggestion would be fine, is if the was only the Great bar, it was tiny as hell, and had a chance to give 3'o clock Skillchecks.
Well what If it made great skillchecks half as effective?

I feel that way too. When I pick billy or nurse nobody talk in endgame chat, but when I take clown, trapper or legion everyone's mad xD
People usually get mad about trapper due to the feeling of "I should have seen that coming" and people get mad about clown due to them feeling like they can't do anything vs his slowdown (you can it's called looping.)
People get mad about legion because it's legion though. Not really a reason to get mad about legion anymore other then that he's unfun to verse, fun to play sort of thing ie sorta like doctor.
-
If they reverted her exhaustion addons to deplete like old exhaustion? i could consider maybe berus toxin with maybe a 15-20s timer. meaning if your quick you can avoid deadhard.
but with exhaustion and how it depletes only when not running? no. thats way to powerful and negates all but sprintburst immediately.
shock electrodes range, should be base kit, along with a few others though.
-
What an incredibly well thought out rework of add-ons. I like it a lot actually.
I still (due to personal bias) like my own idea of a "bouncing bubba" who gains speed, time and angular momentum when hitting a wall rather then his tantrum, but I feel my idea could work more as an "add-on" for your idea.
Also how much do you think his terror radius should be decreased by with the two noise add-ons? I'd like to see a similar small buff to Hill billy actually. Plus it would make stealth builds with M and a very viable on leatherface.
-
I love the idea of a first person mode option.
Perhaps to make it slightly easier, make it so that you have the sort of "insidious" shade, when a killers looking at you out of your corner of view (from maybe 8-12 metres?) only to allow the survivor a sort of sense of where the killer is behind them in a chase other then just audio
it doesn't even have to be balanced, i just want to be able to use it
a blood point bonus would be neat alongside,
-

Thanks man! I appreciate it
-
Only killer who need's* it is trapper
every other killer can get away with using discordance or pop goes the weasel to prevent gen rushing.
discordance is a far more useful perk. stops people going through a single gen too fast and gives survivor locations, along with a gen to smack.
pop goes the weasel allows you to hugely play into 3 gen strats/ along with the ability to apply huge map pressure and with its recent buff, survivors can't really take you half way across the map so that you can't pop it (smart survivors would do this so swf could gen rush.) also its a genuinely powerful perk that denys progression.
huntress lullaby comes free and people undersell its ability to be useful. the mere fact that this perk has to gain tokens makes it a little bit harder, but people tend to ignore it if theres no ruin until its too late.
sloppy butcher is incredibly good at wasting survivors time, and paired with discordance can lead to a lot of one hit downs on gen rushers, along with slowing the game down for the people who want to heal. it makes bloodstains more prominent as well i believe so on maps like lerys and the game it becomes a godsend.
and finally corrupt intervention... while survivors can just hard hide to counter it instead of doing gens in the shorter patrol area, i still find it a godsend on most killers for slowing down the game in order to find an initial survivor. only problem is it only lasts for the start of the match allowing you early game pressure. its incredibly good on trapper, and just as good as ruin to start your match up. however neither are really needed on trapper. there just needed to ensure merciless victory, though you can still 4k.
Honestly my fav anti gen perk is deffinately discordance. on any charecter its just gold. on spirit and nurse its broken levels of viable, and on stealth killers like myers and ghostface it allows you to become super powerful early on
-
OoO needs no changing. Ghostface could use a small buff against it possibly, but OoO is in a perfect place, it requires skill to use.
Sure it can be used to do callouts to anyone in swf, but you have so many other perks that do the same thing, plus well swf would rather just tell each other where the killer is rather then waste a perfectly good gen rushing perk slot.
OoO is primarily a single survivor perk, and it does it's job well

This would completely destroy mori's and encourage people too tunnel. Mori's are annoying, but they still serve a purpose.
Moris already encourage tunneling, expecially when paired with perks like dying light, stbfl and others. The way I see it if someone's already dedicated to the strategy of "camping and tunneling" atleast they'll get you out of the game faster. Like if there going to do that you'll die anyways so may as well go out with a cool mori.
An alternative to this actually could be that moris only work on the unhooker. For 60s if you hit them (which would extend the timer) you gain the ability to mori them. Idk just kind of spitballing ideas at this point
-
@Mochan said:
Technically that is a nerf.
Well yes but rather then blatantly nerf it into the ground like people are suggesting (use only on last hook etc) I'm suggesting adding counterplay which while yes in and of itself is a nerf it's something moris need. There the only thing in the game of the top of my head that all killers can use that has no counterplay.

Things such as mori spamming on hook, body blocking in the basement before endgame to extend the game, and toxicity in endgame chat should be reportable for temp bans
At the very least they should have an auto monitor on endgame chat to detect racial slurs/incredibly bad words (Ie c(_) (\) t etc) and auto give timed small bans

Did you know miles prower is called that as a reference to speed as miles per hr? I just found that out a few days ago after all these years.

All jokes aside yeah we do need dedicated servers, and the faster they come the better.

"Also make it so that either healing regresses with this perk"
People thought of this as a Self Care nerf before the General Healing Nerf. If this was added then you would probably have to slightly revert the Healing nerf
Not really, as it would be attached to resilience only? As in you can't just 99 the heal, because it will regress if your not constantly healing.

Good luck farming 5% of bloodpoints lol, you would have to do 20 kyf farming rounds to get 32k points. Only stupid people would waste time for farming in kyf
mate i haven't touched peoples comments lol?
and like exactly, its not meant for farming, but you should get some bare minimum reward for just playing the game
the way the games structured though makes it hard to add a feature like that otherwise people would farm infinitely in kyf unless its incredibly minute. but adding bp to kyf would encourage people to play it atleast and allow people to still potentially level up charecters if they just want to have fun with friends. it shouldn't be the primary method of leveling up no. but even overwatch gives xp in custom matches between friends, and thats around 5% to 20% depending on the amount of people, match type and if randoms are around/ if its a 1v1 etc

Killers also their fair share of broken add-ons, i dont want to be the one to make the comparisons but well...
Brand new part isin't even as efficient as just the speed add-ons and good perks/others on the same gen. Tbh I don't even think it qualifies for ultra rare status anymore. That being said it doesn't deserve rare status it's just.. in a weird place, anymore buff and it would be too op and any less and suddenly it's not an ultra rare.
Odd bulb doesn't allow for insta stuns anymore so no longer op. That being said mixed with halogen bulb you can lose the killer with it, but as a tool to save others? Nerfed to the ground.
Mint rag isin't that op tbh, I've barely ever noticed it though when paired with the no trap set off I can agree. If anything i'm game to go on record for saying bodyblocker hag or silent traps hag can be more op. Even the hindered add-on has caught me more times then mint rag. Don't get me wrong it's incredibly strong but it's balanced.
Iridecent head ain't broken though a rework would make it more fair. The extra hatchets addon is what makes it a bit unfair but even still it can be countered by good dodging and stealth.
Mother daughter ring and prayer beads are deffinately not overpowered in any form, however together they are incredibly deadly. You have to realise you have to commit two rare add-ons for a specific ultra powerful build
Fragrant tuft of hair is op, but it's on a killer whose mid tier and I honestly don't think it's unfair tbh. Might be biased as a Micheal main but still I've vs'ed it as survivor and 4 man'shave escaped against it.
Tuning guide isn't op. Not in the slightest.
Ataxic respiration and Campbell's soup I mean breath... Tbh it's more nurse being already at base incredibly strong, that these add-ons give her both extra chances to pull off her ludicrous strength, and make her stronger. These are the only add-ons you listed that need to be tweaked. Not nerfed, tweaked.

You know there's a problem when people argue that doing something wrong intentionally and causing harm to others is somehow defensible.
It's clear that some people don't want a solution because they are part of the problem.
Pretty sure the guy was just intending to say that people who don't know there using bugged perks/add-ons shouldn't be punished for it, and not that people who are using them intentionally shouldn't be
Because people who abuse them should be punished yes, but when a large portion of the player base uses perks legitimately (thanataphobia) it can be hard to find a reason to ban them/punish them. On the other hand, swf squads using wake up prove thyself and purple toolboxes with speed add-ons are far more likely to be abusers and should be punished in some form. But like again on survivor side a lot of people still don't know wake up is a bugged perk and occasionally use it to get Quentin adepts/ or just for it's use in end game builds, should they be banned too? No obviously not.
That being said I hope this issue is rectified sooner rather than later.
Also ps I'm on the side of people who have played with wakeup since the update though I only did it for a few matches, and only to see what it effected (those fast vaults are nutty) and it's a pretty horrid bug that I hope is fixed soon
-
Honestly instaheals aren't broken, expecially not the purple one. the red one could use a slight nerf of some form but honestly i don't mind it, and i play every killer. its when a whole squad has them that they get annoying but honestly there not too hard to deal with.
stacked with MoM before its nerf though was horrendous, along with before the exhaustion nerf.

would be fine with killers.
with survivors I tremble at the idea of having wannabe pros in my team.
like 99% of people playing with reds would be 10-15s thinking they are too good and fail all games. Pls no
there is enough swf trash in red ranks.
it really wouldn't be terrible with survivor. if you are red ranks, you could essentially "invite people", to match with you if you have the setting on, thus getting faster matches with a chance of lower tier survivors, yet if your a low rank survivor, you'd be able to turn it on to have a chance at matching with someone out of your league both in difficulty etc
-
@Boss said:
...With "below my rank", you mean those with a lower value, meaning a higher rank, right?
Cause if not, that'd be asking for easy smurfing.
I will assume the former though, to keep things positive.
And idk, wouldn't that also allow inexperienced players to play with rank 1s and, if they're Survivors, just screw up the team hard?
yeah that's exactly what i mean. and it'd be sort of an opt in option, with people at rank 1 being able to "opt" to have higher ranked (low ranks players) in their team, and higher ranked (again low ranked) killers to be able to vs higher tier squads, same with survivor's, though only if the higher ranked (le rank 1 etc) have the option turned on.

I would love for the pig to get changes that would actually relate to her but with due respect i think what your suggesting does not really work its a huge risk for a pig player and i doubt it would pay off for her plus would open up slugging 4 to trap them then opening the door. Also i dont think opening the door triggers the timer (activates the trap)
I would like hang mans trick to be replaced with some kinda shock that freezes the player in place notifies the killer as soon as they open the gate.
Or more add ons that tamper with the jigsaw boxes themselves maybe reducing timer of certain boxes in the trail or possibly exit gates
I just love her to have more fitting things please take rule set n2 off pink add on and replace it with a deadly trap effect something like if a player fails to remove a bare trap it pops.
PLease Amanda does NOT play fair!! can we please get a reflection of this
๐โค๏ธ๐
1 traps aren't active on the ground so therefore slugging tactic is invalid,
It is a huge risk with potential huge payoff, mind you if you can down atleast one survivor trap them then go set off the gates you have a lure for other survivors. A trap being on someone's head in endgame should extend it, but taking it off should decrease the time left.
Rule set *2 should be base kit, or atleast reduced in rarity.
-
Honestly I just want a killer that's either disguised as other players, or is a survivor like Dwight in the future. The entity can pull from all time periods so I'd like to see the time period where a survivor becomes the killer (as we've heard but never see.)
Just be cool to disguise myself as someone else, sneak up on someone and then eviscerate them, or be an amalgamated Dwight using everything he was ever killed by to kill those he once attempted to protect
-
Make it so the longer the survivor stays in the trap, the higher the chances of coming out of the trap in the dying state, and also make it not a percentage chance but a logrithmic chance with it starting off the same but getting progressively more difficult. Also give him the ability to carry an extra trap, and a natural resistance to stuns/strength for breaking pallets and I think he would be great
