MIcrosleep was the term used in the movie if i do remember right. During Microsleep Freddy used to appear and disappear randomly, which is basically what happens during the microsleep phase if he's within 32-16 meters.
Just wanted to give some context, don't know if you were already aware of this. 😁

Devs didn't just make it up they either watched the movie and wanted to make it a mechanic or were told/asked to.
Its like how people complained about the name "the Shape" all over again
Thank you for the confirmation. I did not see the movie in English, so the term used was different, and as you know sometimes translations are not well done. Glad to see they translated the term in the right way. 😁
The shape is so much better then "the myers" or anything silly like that though
It is, but people said it didn't make sense when he came out because they didn't realize it was a term from the movies.

Indeed. Neither games nor movies nor TV series should have them any more. That's what IMDB and Wikipedia are for because nobody reads them anyway.
