Just make him a mist walker that teleports from place to place like in the movie. He doesn't canonically teleport, but lets be honest... he does.
And the whole "un-killable" concept can be turned into something, I don't know what but... they can probably think of something there.
A fair bit can be done with Jason, i'd just need time and a list to really think of something unique for him.
Imagine running from Jason using the Ironworks loop... You jump through the window, just to see Jason walking through the mist as soon as you turn.

@FireHazard I think his movement speed should be increased once the chainsaw charges. Nothing as crazy as Hillbilly, mind you. But maybe to 120% or something.
Now, I admit, my understanding of numbers in DbD leaves much to be desired. Numbers here are odd to me, unlike in games like Overwatch where I can easily calculate what a 20% increase to Soldier 76's damage nets, or even what reducing his clip by a few bullets nets overall. Even in body-shots vs headshots. So, that 120% percent I mentioned might be crazy or useless. But you get my drift.
Right now, his slow is what kills me with him. I have to be practically piggy-backing on the survivor and let them carry for it to feel like the chainsaw is worth using.
Which is probably where I need to get more involved with his add-ons. Still learning the game, so I'm trying to learn various killers before relying on their add-ons.
@GrootDude I appreciate you making me feel old (just kidding). ๐ I have three kids older than you. My kids are 26, 21, 19, and 9.
I like all those series a lot except for Scream. I could just never get into Scream.
Myers I loved right up until the Curse of Michael Myers. I was glad that H20 ignored everything after Halloween II, until its sequel, Resurrection, screwed that up. So far, love the 2018 continuity reboot that only acknowledges the original Halloween. Especially since John Carpenter never wanted to make Laurie his sister, but did it because he was rushed on the script and the studio rejected earlier drafts for not having enough of a twist. So I'm glad he finally got to undo that. Just hoping they don't screw it up, yet again, with Halloween Kills in 2020 and Halloween Ends in 2021.
As it stands, Myers now has three continuities: Halloween through Curse of Michael Myers; Halloween, Halloween 2, H20, and Resurrection; then Halloween, Halloween 2018, and the two upcoming sequels. He's has as many continuities as Highlander at this point.
Liked all the Friday the 13th films except Part 9 and Jason X.
I really enjoyed the 2009 remake.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre . . . I liked the first film. The sequels went too much into the black-humor campiness for me. Texas Chainsaw: Next Generation should be forgotten.
I did like the 2003 remake and The Beginning prequel, though. One of the rare instances I actually enjoyed the remakes more than most of the originals.
@LordGlint Nice photo. ๐
Those are videos mate, not photos.
Also, I think Bubba moves at 118% currently when running at someone with his chainsaw swinging.

Small off-topic point, I wish Jason was a part of DBD because of this video now.
Sadly, his license is more tricky to navigate than being blind-folded in a maze...
Im pretty sure they could do alot more with him than they could do with Bubba. Not really any meaningful differences you could find between Billy and Bubba. Trapper and Jason though... You got plenty of room to differenciate. Imagine if DBD Jason could mist walk like he does in Mortal Kombat, Just walk into mist at one point, and out of mist at another. I was kinda daydreaming this thought the other day. What if you could "set" the mistwalk location by looking at a spot and holding down M2, then activate the ability later by releasing the M2?
Point being... Jason doesnt exactly scream "beartraps" like Bubba screams "chainsaw"

@FireHazard Oh, I'm aware that Hillbilly came first. He was one of the three originals killers next to Trapper and Wraith. I followed the game since 2016, I just didn't buy it or play it because Overwatch occupied my time where all my friends and family played.
I'm almost 47, so grew-up on Leatherface, Myers, Freddy, Jason, et cetera. Always been a huge slasher fan.
But with Leatherface in the game now, I always get a mental image of Hillbilly being from some Grade B Texas Chainsaw knockoff movie.
It's not a knock on who entered DbD first, just how my horror fandom works out mentally on picking who to play.
Naturally, I gravitated to Bubba.
Now, gameplay wise, I hate the speed Billy gets with the chainsaw. I suck at controlling it, and just don't feel motivated to learn him. Leatherface just fits my playstyle more. I just wish he got some needed tweaks.

@LordGlint Well, there is some sort of Rank adjustment happening later in the roadmap. I, too, hope they make Rank be actual Rank. Make it hard to rank-up, and drop the damned resets. Do placements each Season.
I also hope whatever is on the roadmap includes the separate ranks for each Killer. Because I've no interest in ranking up and then trying to learn a different killer against some of those survivors.
The only thing RoleQ did right in Overwatch was separate SR for each role, now.
I hope the seperate rank things becomes...a thing. Afew days ago, after kicking ass and hitting rank 1 as Freddy, I wanted to play Bubba. Then I remembered Im not THAT good with Bubba, lol (Maybe rank 10 for him). Also, sometimes I get the urge to try putting in time and learning Nurse or Spirit. After a game of playing against rank 1s...that urge goes away and I swap back to Freddy for some revenge.

@LordGlint Exactly! The dedicated fans will eventually get bored and moved on. And without retaining new players, that becomes an issue. Especially for a game they want to keep in full development for at least another 5 years.
Oh, I'm fairly sure current players are going to run off new players. I got a free copy from a Streamer last year and gave it away to my 32-year-old sister. She loves Stranger Things, so finally decided to give it a try this past week.
After Rank Reset happened on Friday and she got totally crapped on afterward as a new player, she's already uninstalled and won't be buying the DLC.
I'm honestly not understanding why such a hyped and popular DLC is releasing only four days after a Rank Reset. It's like whoever plans these things at Behavior doesn't know their own game, or the nature of their own community.
As far as cosmetic prices . . . yeah, they don't bother me. I've seen far, far worse than $10 cosmetics in games. Hell, just off the top of my head, go check out cosmetic prices over in Apex Legends. It's $10 just for a gun cosmetic.
Rank reset is stupid... The only reason its a thing is because the devs KNOW the current rank system is dumb. They know ranking is about how much you can play each month, rather than your actual skill. Without a reset, theyd have the majority of their playerbase sitting on red ranks and the people in green and yellow would have to wait FOREVER for a match. I asked Peanits about it once...that was the jest of it.
Wish theyd just fix ranking to be actually meaningful like Overwatch had it. Take out the reset, but maybe have placement matches like Overwatch has, so If you havent played in awhile and are rusty...you can be placed accordingly. Then maybe give currency based off rank that you can spend on cosmetics.

@LordGlint Looking back, I needed to phrase my reply better.
I agree with you about DbD versus how many studios just churn out sequels. But I would also carefully watch what they do over the next year to 18 months, and if their monetization system slowly changes into something that just keeps further wallet-dipping.
The reason being, with the failure that Deathgarden has turned out to be (again), DbD is the only true full-game revenue source they have. Everything else they do is licensed stuff for mobile games and whatnot, and not even full games. DbD is what's propping their full-game offerings up, and though I hope it isn't used to do so, I suspect that if Deathgarden: Bloodharvest doesn't turn around after it leaves "early access," (which it really isn't in, it's a soft relaunch of an already failed game that is utterly failing again), then DbD might be milked as far as the player base will allow them to do so.
Trouble is, it's very easy to keep pushing and pushing that line until you finally cross it and then it's too late because you've pissed off enough people that they've left.
As it stands right now, at least on PC, whenever they get a rise from a free weekend or a 50% sale, the numbers plummet back down to the normal 20k to 30k range almost immediately after a free weekend, or a week or two after a 50% sale. Meaning they are not retaining new players on the PC platform.
That is a problem for longevity.
And if they aren't retaining new players and numbers remain flat, then eventually it's the Vets that foot the growing bill.
I gotcha. Ppl checking out the game during a F2P weekend is going to artificially boost the numbers, and those numbers cant really be expected to stick. Hoping this next DLC introduces some new players, and our CURRENT players dont end up pushing them away. We have too many ppl depipping and making new players have a miserable time...
While I dont have a problem with them selling cosmetics for however much they want to sell them, or in whichever WAYS they want to sell them (battle pass VS store)... Ultimately, every game has only so much life to it. Even the dedicated fans of the game are gonna get bored and try something else. What can you really do at that point?

id save it man your wasting your time. Using this logic the new monster hunter dlc is pay 2 win.
Anyone who wants to check out a real p2w go check neverwinter its p2w to the max.
I use to play a game called Perfect World International, where you could spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to get the best gear. If you didnt spend money...TECHNICALLY..you could get that gear...after grinding for the next decade maybe. It got to the point where you litterally couldnt kill these players, even if they were AFK. And then the devs released weekly content centered around pvp...
After PWI, I moved to Warframe, which has TONS of grind, but never felt P2W. I managed to acquire aton of high end gear and equipment, as well as every character (at the time, havent played in abit). Only spent like 20 bucks, and that was for a cool cosmetic. I have no problem with grinding for what I want, as long as its actually reasonable. PWI's decade grind isnt reasonable, while Warframe never went that route.

@LordGlint Going to reply to two of your posts here, one to me and one to Justarandy
An original Mercy main, huh? I played DPS during that era (76 and Junkrat), but I truly felt for you guys. They screwed Mercy, several times, six ways from Sunday. My (now) 19-year-old daughter was our Mercy main back then in our six-stack. She stopped playing OW after the first Mercy rework and never returned.
How they handled Mercy was my first, solid clue that Kaplan and Goodman learned nothing from their years in WoW and the cancelled Project Titan MMO. Geoff Goodman, the head of balance in OW, handled balance in WoW back when we had full talent trees and whatnot. He could not balance worth a damn, and did hot-and-cold running class reworks constantly. And made it even worse.
Sound familiar?
Jeff Kaplan used to play EQ1 on my server before he landed a job at Blizzard. He used to throw temper tantrums at the Devs on the forums constantly, and if his guild didn't get a World First for new content, he would throw a tantrum and hold "guild sit downs," bringing a mess of people to a single area to crash the servers.
Kaplan, even back then, swung from the scrotum of the top players, but could never get into their circle.
He still swings from it as the Game Lead for Overwatch, and it shows.
As for your other post: Well, Behavior honestly doesn't have a choice except doubling down on DbD and making it financially successful through any means necessary. Whatever amount they've dumped into Deathgarden has utterly failed: twice, now.
DbD is really the only cash cow they have to milk, and I'm sure they would also like to recoup some of that Deathgarden and Deathgarden: Bloodharvest investment. Which is why I am keeping a very critical eye on what they're doing as far as DLCs and Battlepasses. Right now, it's fine by my personal standards (you pointing things out to me earlier helped a lot), but it can just as easily cross my line.
Regarding Mercy... I feel like they shouldve just tossed the rez and let her be competent at healing. I mostly just used her new ult as a way of escaping. Genji cant dragonblade me if he cant reach me, lol. If they had simply given her the equivalent of Pharah's vertical boost as a 2nd ability instead of a rez...Id have been cool with that.
As far as my comment on multiple games goes, spamming sequals was the bread and butter of devs since forever. Think of the multitude of Mortal Kombat games we've gotten. NetherRealm rode that for several decades without feeling the need to expand to another IP. I hope you werent a Kano main in MK1, cuz MK2...doesnt have him.
With DBD, its once again the same IP but without the sequels. If you main Huntress, you dont have to worry about DBD2 not having her, and any progress from THIS game not carrying over.
Think about all the game studios who release sequels year after year, with earlier games being deserted. How much love does earlier CODs get, or earlier Maddons. They just role out a new game each year, instead of working on the previous.

Dude chill. It can be a bit frustrating for people that they can't get certain strong perks because they don't want to buy the dlc character. Not everyone has the money to spend on multiple dlc characters. And waiting for a certain perk to appear on the shrine is incredibly unreliable, now that we have so many different perks.
While I can understand frustration regarding the shrine, how many DLCs are you buying to fill out a perk build? The base game is very fairly priced compared to other games out there, and if you only spend money on what your going to use or what you cant get via shards (like licensed characters)...its still a pretty reasonable deal.
The problem Im seeing is people unable to see that the DLC offered gives ALOT of new content since the games release. Ppl like to add up the total cost of all DLC, without remember that they're getting several games worth of content from that DLC. Just like you might not be able to afford DBD2 atm, being pissed because they instead of creating a separate game, decided to offer the content as DLC...is silly.

You are part of the reason why the gaming industry is so F'ed up nowadays.
The shift your seeing is due to developers putting additional work into a single game, rather than just moving onto the next. If the devs couldnt make anymore money from this game with scheduled DLCs, they wouldnt put anymore work into the title. Instead, youd just see a new DBD every year or 2 with an endless supply of sequels instead of DLCs like devs use to do in the past.
A quick thought for ya... Imagine if instead of 3 years of DBD, The devs instead just made 3 DBDs with all the characters and perks being split up and a new game each year. Would this be better? This was pretty much how the industry functioned in years past.
-
The first idea wont work, since ppl already dont like having NOED work after running past dull totems to do gens instead. Having it activate even after cleansing the totems...
The 2nd idea doesnt really offer much of anything, although it APPEARS to. With adrenaline being so common, survivors are typically already going to be exhausted. Beyond that, the benefit of killing any survivor via mori instead of hook isnt benificial if the survivor is on death hook anyway. Beyond that, I feel like cleansing totems would be even less common, since ppl who havent been hooked yet wont have the incentive to counter NOED if it wont affect them anyway.

@LordGlint Yeah, RoleQ is forced 2-2-2 in both Comp and Quick Play. The wife and I played mostly Supports, so unlike DPS our queues were fast, and we absolutely hated RoleQ. It's just so boring. Especially with the meta in Comp and Quick Play (yes, it has a meta now) being a double-barrier of Orisa-Reinhardt or Orisa-Sigma (the new shield tank).
Double Barrier 8 out of 10 matches, I kid you not. It's boring as all hell.
So, we moved on. Her to Roblox with the 9-year-old; me to DbD and F13.
And we started Overwatch on launch day.
I played it on and off since launch. While I can generally agree to their balancing, I feel like alot of their changes was them trying to change the meta as opposed to actual balance. Players experiment and find counters and synergies for different comps, so the devs go in with a nerf bat to shake it up.
I use to be a 1 trick Mercy main and would carry the usual group Id play with pretty well. Once Mercy got her Ult changed, so many ppl got on this bandwagon of wanting her nerfed into oblivion just so they didnt have to see her anymore, as opposed to putting her in a balanced position and equally useful when compared to the other main healers at the time. The devs didnt know what to do. If they left her with her rez, nothing they changed about her could quiet the crowds of ppl demanding nerfs. Shes now in a position where she doesnt put out enough healing to compare to the other "main healers", while being unable to multitask like the side healers.
I once joked that they could restrict her to never being allowed to leave spawn as a way of balancing her for her rez, and ppl would still complain that shes technically unkillable...

@LordGlint Yeah, the Overwatch ranking system was one of the few things I felt that that game did right. At least before RoleQ. Now it's all over the place and as much of a mess as ranks here in DbD.
Overwatch also banned you for intentionally de-ranking if they caught you. You wouldn't dare see an Overwatch streamer intentionally de-ranking on their streams. Especially when Blizzard has banned people like xQc simply for toxic behavior in matches. Behavior that they easily caught after he was reported thanks to the fact that he streamed it.
Want to de-rank in DbD? No problem. Some of the bigger Fog Whisperers even do it live on stream and chuckle about it.
Gold used to be the average in Overwatch. Past few seasons, Jeff said it was high gold to mid-plat. Though thanks to the cluster **** that is RoleQ, I expect the average to easily drop back to around mid-gold.
Not that I'll follow it to know. Overwatch and Bnet are uninstalled, and I can't see me giving Blizzard another shot. Damned shame, because I was a Blizzard player for 25 years, ever since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans way back in 1994.
Ive only logged onto Overwatch a handful of times this past year, so dont really know much about the roleQ thing (I have a tendency to stick with 1 game for long periods of time). I DID see that they restricted it to 222 though. While I can understand having a tank and healer is nice, and it sucks to have a team of 6 DPS... I think taking control out of the hands of the players on what comp they want to run wasnt a good idea.
Ranking though was set up well. I was Diamond when I stopped playing, meaning while I was good... There was still room to improve and my rank reflected it. I wasnt gonna randomly be placed with or against top 500 players. Thats not really the case with DBD. Here, so many ppl hit top ranks due to how often youll pip vs how often youll depip on any given game. Rank 1 in DBD feels like if they threw everyone that was in Mid-plat and up all together. The depip and DC issues are also handled quite differently, although DBD IS about to implement a new system for DCes.

@LordGlint I hear you. I'm almost 47 years old and feel like a decent debate or even a civil discourse is a rare breed today.
I feel the same about Billy, Nurse, and Spirit. They're just too much of a learning curve for me. I much prefer Doc, Myers, and Leatherface, which is why I don't ever want to hit the high ranks. Not unless I end up having the time to actually get that good at the game. Unfortunately, one can rank up faster than one's actual skill develops. I really would prefer a tougher ranking system for just that reason.
Thats one thing I think Overwatch did well, was a ranking system. It didnt let everyone and their mom to hit top 500 (Pretty sure Gold was average) and had rank rewards. I use to have a list of grievances about DBD, but that list is slowly getting checked off by the devs. Cant wait to see what they do about Doc.

what i was saying with the licensed killers is im fine with having to pay money for them, the characters themselves. i just wish their perks were obtainable through a non randomized perk store. i know they arent top tier, but some perks, mainly BBQ, can be alluring. i just want to be able to get it without the waiting and without buying a character i wouldnt want, thats all i meant by that.
basically, i think all perks should be able to be obtained with shards at any time you want, and the licensed characters are fine being purchase only, and original characters being purchasable or obtained with shards at any point is fine.
I understand what your saying. I was agreeing with you on the store idea, that would be cool. Id forsee however the price of perks to raise abit if they were available like that.
My point on the DLC killers themselves was that the devs made a wise choice at not making any of them "the best" killer. Its hard to say your not pay to win if the best killer in the game is cash only. As it stands however...Nurse is free, lol.

@LordGlint You actually bring up good points that I had overlooked. Thank you.
And you know what, I'm going to take what you said and look into this further. Not to try to prove you wrong, but rather because I'm likely being unfair to the Dev team here.
And I'd rather be fair, especially since now that I've uninstalled Overwatch and Blizzard entirely, I've considered making DbD my primary game. I'd just rather not fall into another Overwatch situation where the Dev Team is basically out of their league with the game.
I appreciate the cool headed conversation. Alot of ppl on these forums tend to get kinda hot headed and communication just breaks down. I say this alot on these forums, but as someone who hit rank 1 first using OG Freddy without unlocking ruin... I have a hard time believing XYZ perk is required and XYZ killers are the only viable killers at rank 1. I tend to stick with mid and low tier killers. Ive tried dipping my toes in with playing Billy, Spirit and Nurse but... The learning curve is abit steep, lol. Highest tier killer I like to use now is NEW Freddy.

ok, yeah i see your point. but also while i was taking note of the bloodpoints and shards, i also noticed your level. its quite high so you've definitely taken some time to get that many. but i do see your point, i suppose given the amount of perks in this game and how long it takes to get even all the non teachables, this isnt a game people should play without expecting grind anyway.
still, there are the licensed characters which cant be grinded for and require either money or luck if you want the perks. this is why i think all perks should just be purchasable with shards on their own. without needing to get the DLC. i didnt get Pig because i liked the perks, i got her cause i thought she would be fun. I didn't get bubba because i dont think hes fun, but i got lucky BBQ was in the shrine. newer players might have to wait for months or even a year though. thats not grind, thats just extreme patience. that, i have a problem with.
I could get down on the idea of obtaining perks using shards in the store, and take away the RNG aspect of the shrine. Yeah, Ive played this game for about 1 year now, and typically dont buy abunch of cosmetics (the Suzie cosmetic in the picture being one of the few exceptions). I dont play survivor much, so often times I'll use shards for survivor perks in the store so I dont have to lvl a survivor that I dont want to play. For killers... Ive been trying to play each of them, so I dont use shards on killer perks anymore.
Your point on licensed killers does hold water though, these are killers unavailable through shards, as well as their perks (apart from extreme RNG from the shrine). A perk store like you mentioned would be handy to address that. As far as the killers themselves... None of them are top tier. The devs managed to avoid having pay to win killers, by making all the best killers free (except Spirit, who you can grind for with shards). Huntress, Nurse and Billy all come with the base game on PC, while Hag is included for console.

@Kilmeran said:
@LordGlint He mentioned others besides just Ruin and BBQ in a list of issues vs perk fixes. Might have been in the OPs video, I don't know, To be honest, the two kind of blurred together for me.
Regardless, DbD is just not a game I'll take seriously. I've already decided to just play casually and mess around (or meme around, whatever it's called) and just stay in the gray and yellow ranks. Won't be hard, since I don't have a lot of play time between rank resets every month anyway.
But that also means that whereas in the past I bought every DLC for the Perks and to maintain the collection, Perks are a lot less meaningful to me now. So now, whether or not I buy a DLC is purely based on the theme. I'm not a fan of Ghostface or Stranger Things, so those two are a skip for me.
Playing casually in-between other games also means I'll skip buying the Battlepass. I refuse to grind them anyway. I gave Paladins, Realm Royale, and Apex all one try on each of their Battlepass offerings. They're not worth the grind time.
Hell, if I want to grind to that degree, I'll go play Path of Exiles or some other ARPG.
I see the mixup here, the video YOU posted has other perks, while OPs video only has Ruin and BBQ mentioned. The video you posted mentions afew perks which the devs have already addressed the "problems" that Coconut claims the perks fix.
Hangman's trick counters Sabo- Sabo hasnt been a problem since hooks were changed to be able to respawn. The devs changing the hooks to respawn after awhile was the devs fixing sabo without requiring a perk
Coulphobia counters healing at pallet loops- The devs have been working on reducing the amount of "safe pallets" on maps, starting with Badham. Safe pallets are the only ones that make it possible to heal at them without the killer being forced to break them. Any other pallet, the survivor must continue moving and doesnt have time to heal at them.
Mad Grit counters body blocking- Afew patches back, the devs reworked hook spawns so that they have a minimum and maximum amount of hooks per map, even when using offerings. This reduces the chances of being unable to reach a hook if the survivors decided to stack hook offerings. While It may still be possible to stop a hook if 3 teammates stand infront of the hook, Id hardly call this a problem since the killer still has multiple ways to deal with this. They can either hit the survivors and get some free dmg in at the expense of possibly losing the survivor being carried...or, drop the survivor and start going ham at the survivors who are now out of position
Point being, the devs ARE addressing actual problems with the game instead of just fixing them with perks.

alright, fair enough. still, i dont think perks themselves should be so much a grind. if you dont want to play Hag or any other killer, but want their perk, you have to work towards... what is it, 8,000 shards? something like that? then you have to level that character up, THEN you can use that perk on the character you'd rather play. and if you want multiple perks from multiple different killers, its going to take a long long while.
grind is fine, im not saying i want everything easily, but there comes a point where its a bit much. personally i feel DBD is a bit much
Very similar thing that I tell ppl on Warframe. With Warframe, if you arnt willing to "rush" the building time of a character, itll take you at least 3 and a half days. If your constantly staring at that timer going down and drooling over being able to use it...itll go by slowly. If you instead just play and enjoy what you have, or line up multiple things to play with at the same time...waiting for 1 thing would be so bad.
For DBD, I tend to rotate between multiple characters. I play a little bit of Shape, Pig, Huntress and Freddy (I screw around with Bubba every now and then after rank resets). The draw here being just PLAYING. I get excited over getting a map offering on Myers letting me play a "scratched mirror game" because I find it fun. The bloodpoints and shards that result from that...are a byproduct.
This screenshot was JUST taken, take note of the bloodpoints and shards...

Poor excuse from the devs. Billy, Spirit, Nurse all are able to traverse the map alot quicker with their power, than they are by just walking. I dont see a problem with Demogorgon being able to do the same.
Did you forget for a second that he can use his portals to traverse across the map?

the hag is obtainable with shards yes, but this is something that game companies do. can it be obtained without money? yes, absolutely, but how long will it take? how long do you think it would take a more casual gamer to get the hag? someone who only plays two or three matches a day? it would take a while, and thats on purpose. what do you think a casual gamer would rather do, wait a long while until they have enough shards, or drop a few bucks and just get her right away? thats how this stuff is designed, so they can get money from people who want to spend it, but people who dont want to spend hours and hours a day playing.
If you want to main Hag or something and want to play her NOW, then sure... throw down afew bucks (assuming your not on console, in which shes free). If your under the impression that the perks she comes with in at all NEEDED... That's where id disagree.
The fact that games have grind doesnt mean they should just give away their matierial to players who dont want to put in the time and grind for it. As someone who use to play Warframe for several years and obtain each character without ever breaking the bank, I grew quite use to this idea.

@LordGlint I think his video mentions examples well enough. I'll leave it with his examples since I agreed with them. Not being snarky, I'm just back and forth from the PC helping the wife with housework, and don't have time to list and explain the ones I see that way.
But I agreed with his video examples.
His video mentioned BBQ for the sake of reducing grind, and Ruin for the sake of slowing gens.
While BBQ cant be obtained outside cash or the shrine...Behavior IS addressing the issue its "fixing" in the next patch.
As for ruin, the only other perk mentioned in the video... Hag is purchasable with shards. Considering how often ruin gets destroyed early and the killer then has to spend 90% of the game with only 3 perks, to insist that its required is ironic. As someone who use to play Old Freddy not using Ruin and still managed to play at rank 1... I tend to roll my eyes at the idea that you HAVE to use ruin or HAVE to use the top tiered killers to do well.

@LordGlint I have no issue with DLCs on their own. I've bought enough DLCs for games over the years.
But even before Space Coconut pointed out how in many instances Behavior doesn't fix a problem but instead sells you a DLC Perk to fix the problem (maybe he should have called it Pay-to-Fix instead of Pay-to-Win), I already noticed that way back in late 2018.
And that is what I've a growing issue with. I've said before that Behavior has me flashing back more and more to a pseudo-EA model (and Cote used to work for EA), and that is a huge reason why.
The wife and I make six-figures a year. We have disposable income and can easily become whales in any game. But I'm less inclined to support a company who uses DLC content as a means to fix problems that the Devs should be fixing normally, as opposed to a company who releases DLC simply for new content.
Yes, the DLCs for DbD have new content. But Space Coconut is correct in what he says about Behavior using paid DLC perks as fixes to underlying problems in the game, instead of actually performing development fixes for them.
Can you provide an example of a perk that must be bought to obtain, that fixes a problem that the devs havent fixed/arnt working on fixing?

yes pebble should have a chance to 3 second stun a killer

Killer: Am I a joke to you?

I know for Freddys map, they already changed the pallets. The idea was to increase the total amount of pallets, while making each one less safe. This should decrease the chances of a survivor running to an area thats a complete deadzone, while reducing how often pallets are TOO safe and killers HAVE to break them immediately.
As for the other maps... I dont think they started doing this to them yet.

I actually prefer this video from him. Same basic topic, though.
Behavior does things pretty well IMO. The first video brought up how maps are free and dont require DLCs. Anyone thats gotten a COD game typically knows that if maps were tied to DLC, the community would end up being split between who has the maps and who doesnt, with more and more splits being made for each map. You wouldnt be able to play with your friends if they dont have the same DLCs as you.
As far as them releasing new content and expecting you to pay for additional things... That should really be a given. People who bought the base game did so knowing what characters were included in that. That value of those characters doesnt change when they release new content. For some reason, people also bring up the total cost of all DLC in the game, claiming that is the TRUE cost of the game. In reality, many of these characters and perks can be gotten with shards, not including the shrine. Also, you dont have to buy anything if you arnt interested in that particular character/perks. To include the pricetag of things you arnt interested in buying as the "true cost" is just being deceitful.

Then try bubba or piggy or any other loopable killer at red ranks and see how well it goes
I do... Goes quite well. Im one of the people who use to main OLD Freddy, and he was actually the first killer I got to rank 1 with. Didnt use Spirit fury, enduring or even Ruin on him.

I approve this post
I love using Tapp's perks. I think they are underrated
I only wish Detective's Hunch would activate when any gen is done and not just when you finish one
Agreed. Considering on average each person is only gonna be fixing 1 or 2 gens, you're only gaining value from this if you manage to pop a gen early.
-
You can do well with ANY killer if you put time into it. This whole idea of only Nurse and Spirit being viable is constantly sprouted out by people who arnt willing to take the time to learn the nuances of other killers and think outside the box a little. "Do I think about what perks compliment this killer's power and make a build with this in mind? Nah, lets just throw Spirit fury and enduring on it and insist its required."

@NMCKE From those perks you mentioned:
I can agree with DS. STBFL is a nice perk indeed, but not as super-powerful as DS or the old MoM. The other perks are obtainable through playtime, no need to spend money.
I <3 STBFL

DS is pretty good at low ranks, and sometimes at higher ranks. You can use it to bait killers, or do game winning chases against them.
Save The Best For Last is very underrated for M1 killers because you would get hits that you normally wouldn't get as the killer.
Spirit Fury is decent by itself, but combined with Enduring you will be able to either waste the survivors' pallets faster or down survivors from dropping pallets on you.
Deliverance is not bad because you can unhook yourself when someone else doesn't want to go for the unhook. This is really powerful because this takes the killer's pressure away even when you're hooked.
We're Going to Live Forever is not as good as BBQ, but it's something to cut down the grind if you main survivor (you even see recommend leveling David King for that reason). I have the special edition of Dead by Daylight so I get him for free, but this is mainly considering PC players.
Hex: Ruin is pretty decent at high ranks because it slows the game down for killers who can't do map pressure as well as other killers. This is another luxury of having the special edition of Dead by Daylight because this is free for console players.
I could go on and on, but these perks are somewhat pay to win if you don't have the money to buy the characters.
All in all, I prefer the bonus 100% BP is baseline for everyone. :)
Afew things to note. Afew of these perks are tired to original characters, which can be obtained with shards. If you want Ruin for example, you can buy Hag with shards.
You also mentioned David King's WGLF. I understand the mistake here, but just a heads up... David King came out with The Huntress, and was a Free DLC. This is true for PC as well.

We see this suggestion here on the forums on a regular basis. The problem is: Some passive abilities are way stronger than others. This would lead to less variety and people playing the same characters all the time.
What are you talking about? SURELY a slight boost to opening the exit gates is EQUALLY as good as running faster. This idea couldnt POSSIBLY just lead to "meta" survivors.

What about an ACTUAL circus themed map for Clown, instead of the little corner of 1 map.

Man, I'm really looking forward to that husk feature.
The mori rituals are annoying, but they pay out so well. It's why I'm trying to get Rancor on every killer; it's the best way to handle those rituals. Farm with the obsession or stalk them all game, then mori them at the end.
I get enough Ebony's to last me a lifetime... Rarely ever use em.

@TheBean I assume that was meant tongue-in-cheek. Because if the Devs honestly believed that . . . well, let me stop buying DLCs and stuff right now, because the game has shown a lack of consistent growth as it is and has generally remained flat on Steam. It'll be a matter of time before it finally declines.
I prefer games that stick around more than 4-5 years. ๐
I mean, they touted that they expect new growth with the Switch release and mobile. That's great. But someone should let them know that after those two, they're out of new platforms to target for initial sales growth. Actually being able to retain new players might be something they want to look at.
They say DbD has sold millions of copies. Well, the retention sucks.
DBD in VR next?

How bout we make a MINOR tweek to the addon...
You unlock the ability to hit tier 4, which allows you to have blue spikey hair, fly and shoot energy balls. You also have map wide aura reading and a TR of -9001.
Just a small change...mostly just a QoL thing really

Same. Whenever I get either of those maps as normal Myers, I wish I had just went scratched mirror instead.
And then when I try my luck without a map offering, I get either Blood Lodge or Rotten Fields. Feelsbadman.
Ive had so many survivors screw me over hard by ALSO using map offerings. Im actually quite good with normal Myers on these 2 maps, so I just do a little victory dance as soon as I load in. Last time I tried just using a vanity mirror and crossed my fingers...I got Coal Tower...and somehow 4ked.

I don't find usage of this add-on.
You move at 4.278 m/s in Tier 2, barely faster than normal Tier 1 Myers, but also you have to REACH tier 2 and gain much more weaker wall hack ability and 16 metres Terror.
Much easier to run Scratched Mirror, 4.2 movement, 32 metres wall hack, 6 metres Terror.
Being able to get bloodlust and have an actual lunge IS nice. Im also able to use this on more than just 2 maps.
-
16 meters is plenty enough to track ppl through a junglegym or house. You dont need to use it to find survivors, but its great to track their exact position when your able to lose LOS. Its also very handy on multi leveled areas to track survivors above or below you. Imagine dropping down on a survivor whos on the bottom floor of The Game map.

To be honest, that makes sense for survivors. Iridescent and ultra rare addons/items for killers should stay the same, but anything under common should be way cheaper. Perks can stay the same price too. Especially with the balancing for Nurse's addons coming up.
The prices of BP offerings is dumb. With a brown offering for example, you pay 3k for it. At most, if you max out that BP category, you'll get 4k back.

Well... It'd be good, but I don't think it needs to be purple... if they changed it to show a beam of where you'd land, similar to, say, the glass bead map addon... then it could be a brown addon.
Working on a gen with the gang, and then all of a sudden... You notice a red dot appear on Meg...
